First Post: Friday
Hey everyone. Thanks for participating in a lively night of comments. Looks like the Tiger Talk/ESPN game combo works for a lot of HOTTIES, so we'll keep doing it that way.
Special thanks to Chip Chip for providing me a key aural hookup. Your hustle is (now) noted and appreciated.
Beatles: Rock Band is great. Best Rock & Roll band ever? I'd have to say yes. Think about all the different kinds of songs they made. Many of them were excellent. Truly amazing what they accomplished in a relatively short period of time.
Here's the Auburn situation at this moment:

later Choc.
Dangit. I missed it. I was playing with my son instead of watching the post count. Thanks for picking me up scottie b.
Chip - that was a very nice video. I have shared it now with others.
Paulmain... my guess.
McNeil -- midseason
Savage -- 2010
Hot Boy -- when he learns to do right
Did someone say hot boy?
Harrison...I'll be driving a herd of cats up Wire Rd to your tailgate......I'm gonna need a cold Yuengling Lager when I get there
......get along little kitties.
Hoopie - He's talking about the 4 legged kind. Does Mrs. Hoopie know about your plans????
MonD.....am I gonna have to break out the "Nip in the Air" avatar?
I guess I could handle a wedding before an Auburn game, but it better be an Auburn homecoming or something. I can't imagine risking getting married on a day we lose a game.
Aairon savage? Wouldn't that be a seventh season?
Good Lord, I've heard about this...cat juggling!
Blame it on Paulmain, Hoopie!
Haha...Driving a herd of 2 legged kitties is beyond Hoopie's capabilities.....and I have no problem admitting that....I'm 54 and I'm still a man...well..most times anyway.
Darnit. Monica found a picture of me.
First they didn't have the bamboo umbrellas for the drinks, and now snails on the plate!
Anyone think McNeil will reclaim his starting job away from Darren Bates? I don't see it happening.
Mike McNeil was a 4 star safety in the 2007 recruiting class that AU fans were pumped to get.
Darren Bates was a 2 star recruit in the 2009 class that AU fans criticized Tubs about.
Go figure.
Any news on eltoro playing?
I think Mcniel reclaims his job assumeing he can get back to past preformance levels.
According to the coaches McNeil has been like a player/coach while he's been out. I think he's impressed his coaches.
Bates had a good game Saturday, but it's not like he was tested that often.
That being said, I personally think McNeil is overrated and seems to find himself out of position a lot. At least last year that was my observation.
Did i just kill the thread?
I hope McNeil does regain his position. Either way..we just created depth at a needed position early in the season.
Paul....can't imagine you killing a thread with that avatar. Maybe just some extra lurking going on.
I don't want to be negitive but i sure hope last weeks preformance was not a mirage, and that we dont lay an egg offensivly this week.
If we look good again this week i will be completely convinced we are on the right track.
McNeil never seemed to play up to his reputation to me, either. I will be the first to say I don't know exactly how the coaches rate the players, however.
Good point on the 1 game for Bates, he just seems like a more aggressive player on first look than McNeil was. McNeil was one of the players I really thought might benefit from Chizik's secondary coaching skills.
Been to lunch. thanks for all the kitty comments. the best HABOTN animals are paulmains sweater puppies
I agree Bates has look impressive but i find it hard to believe a true freshman can come in late and be better than a higher rated veteran.
Hoopie - You could herd 'em. I have no doubt about that.
Hoopie said...

Not to get into this again but I can't help it.
Darren Bates was offered in last week of January 2009. He committed on 01/29/2009.
Sorry. Carry on.
what up everyone
I sure hope we get our usual tailgating spot. In order to save money, we relied on someone else to go and "reserve" the spot for us. They aren't even there yet.
Yo bigdaddy! War Eagle!
Luv - my wife has learned not to rely on me. Oops, I meant other people.
Luv - hope it works out for you.
We're having the wedding NYE, because we didn't think anyone would mind missing the Chicken Bowl. We're not sure what are plans are on the 1st, though, because we don't know if we'll need to hop a plane to a bowl game early that morning.
Luv,
We had to have a flow chart to plan who was going to be where to save our spot. First my in-laws, then my sister, then we take the van with the stuff. Quite the production.
Just took the strawberry muffins out of the oven, cinnamon bread is about the come out. Seasoned crackers are marinating, most everything else is packed! C'mon 3 o'clock!
I like to let others worry bout the tailgate spot and let me bring some food
wow sounds like some good food
Someone asked about cowboy caviar. Good stiff. This is it:
1 (15.5 ounce) can black beans, drained
1 (15.5 ounce) can black-eyed peas, drained
1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes, drained
2 cups frozen corn kernels, thawed
1/2 medium onion, chopped
1/4 green bell pepper, finely chopped
1/2 cup chopped pickled jalapeno peppers
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1 cup Italian salad dressing
3/4 cup chopped cilantro
cincy- it was me. is that like a dip or something
Here's wishing all the travelin' Hotties a very safe journey to and from the Loveliest Village this weekend.
When they are playing the national anthem, it won't be rockets, that will be the red glare from my eyes as I frustratingly sit at the post-wedding dinner table.
cincy sounds good enough to eat with a spoon.
good stiff, huh?
Weddings should be held in months without an "R" and sometimes even not in August.
This comment has been removed by the author.
You're absolutely right, Digger. There is no "R" in wedding. I'm probably going to have to take a powder when I get home.
Some things are just spoon good
Nothing need be added.
Grin and bare it THT life will go on and momma will apreciate your effort
I'm outta here, Hotties. One last little work binge and hopefully no surprises to keep me here after 4.
Astalawinnebago.
podcast is up:
http://www.supersport930.com/wordpress/?tag=morning-vent
That's my plan and my hope, Digger.
Thanks J/Kev
DVR is a powerful thing THT. you can pretend it's live when you get home. :)
good luck my friend.
Wait, Jay G pistol wips interns?
I guess you could eat it with a spoon, we usually eat it with scoops.
These seasoned crackers are amazing. You just take a box of wheat saltines, a cup of oil, a package of Hidden Valley Ranch dip and red pepper. Dump it all in a bowl, mix it up and let it marinate overnight. Mmmmmm! We use it for the hummus. Good eats!
By the way, I'm sorry for seeming obnoxious sometimes. I love you peeps.
THT. Would you like to put my location on the tailgate map?
I'll be within 150KM of 32.209548, 70.393982
Sincerely
Aeronaut.
Logging that into my GPS right now. I wonder if my CRV will float?
I think Paul Rhodes beats previously ranked (and still ranked on the official Jay G Tate AP Ballot) Iowa this week.
Peter, as Lou Holtz would say, "That is real growth."
Listen to the morning vent with JayG and loved it. He has the hotties NAILED! Knows us down to the bone morrow.
This one time goldberg put voters on a little map. It showed a nice distribution of prediction (people in Auburn predicting a winning season, people in tuscaloosa predicting a losing one)
And then I voted. It messed up the entire distribution.
What's the background on the Jay G/ Don Jackson bad blood?
Aero...
You should check out Crossroads to the Frontier Tribes by Molly Pont from your local library. Good stuff.
There's a local library at 32.209548, 70.393982?
I respect what The Beatles did, one of the first bands to sample if not the first, record in stereo with many different techniques. Alas, just not my thing but still great.
I think this is my favorite...
I've just seen a face
ehyou. I'll take a look at it. I do know the tribes, geopolitics and languages, however anything new does help. Thanks.
PF. That's not my regular location. I'll go there to set up some stuff.
J of JKev I want to send you an email. How can I do that?
Comment Deleted...you are right about Bates..I stand corrected. I confused Bates with the 2 star safety Taylor.
PF - I think you were the only Hottie to send MrsTHT a Happy Birthday wish. You keep faking the obnoxiousness. I know the truth.
Mon...
I've e-mailed them before at this address:
vent@supersport930.com
vent@supersport930.com
Kevin brings a wealth of broadcast experience to Supersport 930, having spent nearly 8 months in radio. HA!
Well, I just think peeps need to be acknowledged on their birthdays. It's a special day for them.
I think I need to be less epicaricacious, but Big Balls are just too funny.
Mon...a few years ago my daughter and I co-coached a 6 year old girls basketball team. The frequently used term Herding Cats best described the coaching experience.
Monica:
you may e-mail me at vent@supersport930.com
Snacks: I'm glad you caught that. As I said in my bio, I don't take myself very seriously.
Hoopie - this last winter I coached 3 and 4 year olds in basketball. My coaching career is over. Never again.
Thanks to one and all for the email address.
Is it true that Michael Dyer is visiting next weekend?
Monica
You can email them on vent@supersport930.com

Thanks Aero. Finally someone responded.
PUPPET HOUR!!! AAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!
Am I an Auburn Man? Is there some sort of test for that I can get at CVS?
Not at CVS, maybe at Walgreens.
Dude, look at your avatar. Of course you're an Auburn man!
Mon ... I specifically asked you not to post that picture of me. Someone could get the wrong idea.
If I'm an Auburn Man, can I still take advil? What restrictions come with it?
I'm sorry Phred. Some gifts should be shared.
One thing is for certain....It ain't me.

I hate missed PATs
My pick on the air this morning was 44-10.
Man, I hope I'm right. I hate when we lose to the MS schools.
Auburn Homer...ha!
AU 30-13
Zombie Nation played 3 times. That's 3 times too many.
Does anyone hate zombie nation more than me? I'll tell you the answer...NO!
um. Sparta and stuff.
Zombie Nation??? is that something related to bammers?
What the f is zombie nation? As if zombies were smart enough to organize, create a constitution and establish a legislative government.
Now a Puppet nation, that is a real and present danger. And it's a danger Eurasia is willing to fight.
I wish it was a bammer thing.
Zombie Nation is that song thing that they play at Penn State (with chants of "we are Penn State").
They played it a few times at JHS the last game.
So, Harry, will you be attending this?
pf- what do you think i am, some kind of weirdo??
michael- if there was a puppet nation song, it would entrance all of JHS and we'd all be enslaved. zombies tried to pull it off, but it ended up being a sports classic.Zombies are dumb.
However at least everyone knows the lyrics (ha!) to Zombie Nation.
I've seen people mess up Bruce Channel's Hey Baby in the stadium.
Michael - It's a techno song by Kernkraft 400 that I associate with UCF (I have no idea who actually started it) Anyway, they "sing" it and bounce up and down in the stands. Now, Auburn is doing it.
Zombie Nation
Why is Auburn always 3-5 years behind on stuff other people have done or are doing?
Harrison, I trust your judgment. I have decided I also don't like Zombie Nation.
i don't think you would, because it sucks and me and you hate stuff that sucks
Actually, I think it's way older than that and I think it may have been a fuuuutbol thing. And I think Zombie Nation is the name of the band, not the song. Hmmm...
Here's some Wiki stuff.
Zombie Nation
(I'm doing this when I should be finishing a brochure. Sheesh)
I can't wait to get in an argument with someone about how stupid zombie nation is!!! I may start calling my friends until I find someone who thinks it is cool.
Hey, Puppet Hour is technically over now. Will I be tarnishing my legacy if I continue to post? I really don't want to have a tarnished legacy.
Michael you remind me of my sister.
When she was a little girl she would go to bed, get back up, come to the living room to tell to say, "If someone every says (fill in the blank with some insult or argument) you can say this to them!"
michael just come to the game and argue with all the dummies in the stadium that seem to like something that sucks so bad
I don't know about everyone else, but I don't think I could think any less of you. Post away.
Monica, I am like you sister, except I have dude parts, and also I am not so far into my planning that I actually know what I will say. I just want to get in the argument.
Harrison - I can't make it to the game, but I live in Alabama, so I am sure I will run into an idiot some time soon.
Michael - I don't believe you on either count.
Thanks for your support, Mon!
Who decided that legacies were made of semi-reactive metal and are capable of being tarnished? I think my legacy is made of toes. Thus, I guess my question should be, "If I continue posting past Puppet Hour, does my legacy get gout?"
no, but it does get hyperparathyroidism
Like Morpheus said, my beliefs do not require that you believe me, or something like that. So take that and stuff it in your ear, Mon!
I have no response.
I only know that you are the wind beneath my wings.
Can I live with hypofoofoooinism in my toes, Harrison?
Do you use your legacy to find furniture in the dark?
I am the wind beneath your wings? Are my farts that powerful?
Ladies and gentlemen, yet another fart joke brought to you by Jan Terri Inc.
hypo means less. so you have less foofoo than most folks, so i'd say no. you are going to die or trip a lot. either one is bad
Find furniture in the dark? I guess my legacy is capable of that. I might need the help of some Auburn Men to get it done, but yeah, we'll find the furniture.
Well great. I am off to CVS to get some foofoo vitamins and see if I can find an Auburn Man test.
I will talk to you cats later.
gross
We should probably be thining of ESPN sign ideas for next week.
That sounds like something Dezi Arness would say
you got some splainin' to do don't you thin?
I like the zombie nation thing.
I have a map and will be roaming the area on Saturday.
Gotta go do some yard work now. it took way to long to read those posts, but they were funny.
Harrison, you crack me up.
Hey everyone. Just upgraded to the Iphone 3GS, and wow, what a difference. Seems to run faster and the video feature is awesome.
Matt,
Gameday for the WVU game?
Speaking of Rush, I dig a sports radio station that plays Rush for its bumper music
I thought it was Stix.
Yes you did PF. Stix with an I no less.
Is it time for kickoff yet?
Oh, yeah. It's Styx. You know you're a crappy band when you spell your name like that.
anyone got a radio stream for the Brooks/Rogers game?
I've seen a youtube stream for Brooks and Dunn - would that work?
The week is over and I can now get on the HABOTN. While this week was 4 days it was a long week.
Peter F. seeing that picture of the zombies in Atlanta hit close to home. My first 18 years I lived on Oakland Ave that dead end at Oakland Cemetary. That picture I believe was taken on Grant Street a half block from Oakland Cemetary.
Styx was a river in Hades, PF, thus making it an awesome name for an awesome band!
Hoover AL vs Camden County GA on ESPNU
CCGA has a kid named Ean Days that is outstanding
Screw shrimp and grits for a name. How about Death and Destruction?
Oh...and the Hottie tailgaters can add bourbon to their menus as well.
The HABOTNistas ride at dawn. (Well really noonish, because my kids have soccer games tomorrow.)
Whadda bout
FAH & RYO
Fast as Haedes
Run You over
cuz u no itz all txt spk nwdyz
those have nothing to do with each other, and txt spk is D-U-M-B. The whole point is that they be related and complimetary terms.
Though, those are actually accurate descriptions. The only flaw with shrimp and grits is that it doesn't metaphorically make sense. Yeah, McIrishman is small, but shrimp aren't known for their speed, which is the trait that needs to be identified. I don't even have the first clue what grits would mean.
So...does Death and Destruction work or not?
Pete
sorry u think it's dumb
looks like ur having a bad day :)
hope 2moro is beter 4 u!
I think we will see more than 2 RBs tomorrow, so how does that effect the nickname?
I don't think the idea is dumb (just not quite there yet), I think text speek is dumb. My day has been great, actually. I hope tomorrow is great, too. Thanks for the well wishes.
Death and Destruction is getting closer...which one is fast and which one pounds the crap out of you until it hurts?
So, Brooks vs Rogers score or radio stream, anyone?
Speed Kills.
Therefore, McIrishman is Death.
Tate is the bruiser. Destruction all the way.
I hear Michael Dyer and Dakota Mosley will be among the visitors for the West Virginia game in one week. Maybe they would like to tailgate with the Hotties.
gets the Frankenbummer seal of approval j-z....
Semi and Hemi?
BenMac?
/we got nothin' here...
Big Mack Tate

Roadrunner Onterio
Just watched this week's Auburn Everyday. Totally different team dynamic from last year. I think the Auburn family is back.
And j-z kills the thread.
this weeks Auburn Everyday is available from now until gametime tomorrow for free at http://auburntigers.cstv.com/
j-z, this thread's been dying for hours.
We need bourbon. STAT.
Sweet Jesus...I'm watching Colorado v Toledo. Make it stop.
Bourbon...mmmmm. sweet nectar! George T. Stag, please.
Yes, I'll say it. Episode two made me cry. I already love Auburn, but I am so in love with these coaches and this team. That Coach Luper is chill for real.
And WOW what a smart recruiting tool this is going to be.
"War Dadgum Eagles"
and another thing FAH is not getting the big head
AND anyone who wants to minimize that things were bad should watch these shows and listen for the way these kids talk - there are LOTS of clues they tell you they were NOT being coached as football players or as young men like they should have been
OKay, who has been giving monica that caffeine?
ha what did i do that seems caffeiney?
facebook just died, I think.
Ah, just your comments, but I am figuring out where it came from. I am watching the video and it is very inspiring.
Facebook has been dying for days.
And Monica, you are right. These kids didn't deserve last season. I am not talking about the losses. I am talking about a team that went out there and looked unprepared. I don't mind if we lose because the other team was better, but to lose because we weren't prepared is unfair to these players.
Loved the show. It's amazing to see Chizik so chatty and fired-up in comparison to his press conferences. Monica is right about recruiting, I hope they continue the free viewings on the web-site. It reminds me of the "Hard Knocks" NFL show on HBO.
Nominations:
Thunder and Lightning
Shrimp and Grits
Death and Destruction
Peaches and Herb
Hardcastle and McCormick
Cagney and Lacey
The Fabulous Luper Boys
Bogie and Bacall
I agree. Chizik looked much more personable in that show than he did in his press conferences.
I just get a very good feeling about this team. I don't recall another Auburn team that seemed so close, possibly 1993, but that is about it.
Tommy and I picked Shrimp & Grits earlier. He came up with it, but I like it a lot.
I finally got to watch an episode or Auburn Football Everyday. Thanks for the heads up about it being free today.
Awesome show.
Didn't you LOVE them giving Chizzy the game ball? I love the way AC talks about FAH. Good stuff.
I like Shrimp and Grits a lot, but after breaking it down, don't think it works.
My vote is Death and Destruction
I'm too tired to read all 400 comments that I have missed... Can I get a summary? Have I missed anything important?
long day... golf course wasn't being friendly.
Has there ever been this much access to the team giving to fans?
Now Greg is going around the house using his coaches voice saying
DO WHAT WE DO
WORK HARD WORK
1,2,3 AU!
Sportscall was talking today about Finebaum, Jeff Shearer from WSFA in Montgomery, and I believe Shane from the Finebaum show being in front of Sanford Hall tomorrow. Can someone please confirm that I was hearing wrong, or is this really happening?
Say it ain't so.
Yes, it's true. Go by and say hi!
Dusty - I think if you watch episode 2 of Every Day you'll be all caught up on anything you missed today.
Will Finebaum be wearing his "I suck-up to Saban" t-shirt?
I can't believe they will be in front of Sanford Hall. I hope the cleaning crew is on standby.
Good grief. Colorado is crapalicious.
If you go take photos! ;-)
got a link, mon?
When I tried to link it yesterday it was doing something funky so just go to www.auburntigers.com and it will take you there.
PF,
Brooks 34 - Rogers 7
Will do, Monica. No tickets for tomorrow, but I hope to make it over to Tiger Walk.
Apparently there are tickets floating around all over the place. I'm sure you'll get tickets if you go over
I'm sure tickets are still available.
Thanks, Miller. That's 3 blowouts in as many games for Brooks.
well let's turn this thing before I hit the bed...
next
STJ 15, Elmore County 13
Woot!
"Hey, Dad, you still played on the worst team in Saint James history," ElTurbo to father, after the Trojans won their second game of the year.
Arab lost another heartbreaker tonight at the hands of Fort Payne. 32-34.
