  4. I am back and we caught some pretty nice fish. Did not rain but sure was a rough sea.
We are gaining and maybe if we beat the next 6 teams we can make it to 15.

FSJ - I am impressed. If Alabama manages to play a complete game, you should beat a team 49-0.

I am starting to think you need to book tickets for Pasadena.

  6. Jay, How can you have a 2 lose Oklahoma at 15? This is what is wrong with the polls.People go off the past years instead of what is happening this year.

Oklahoma would blow our doors off. Just saying...

  8. Has nothing to do wheather they would beat Auburn. As i said people go by what could happen instead of what has happened.Last year is last year and this year is this year.If Texas beats them in 2 weeks is a 3 lose Oklahoma still in the top 25?

    Stan,

I would say that would drop them into the lower 20s.

But I am neither a voter, media member, or anyone that matters.

I'm just a stupid fan on a blog.

  12. I would say I feel ripped off for paying $60 each for tickets...however it was worth it to watch a win in Knoxville.

  13. I don't know Sensi...

We didn't play well against Kentucky...

I have a feeling it was because of the looming showdown in Oxford as well as the fact that Kentucky had to play better after how badly they played against UF.

We will need to play better Saturday. I expect that we will.

  14. RK..I don't feel ripped off until I go to the concession stand....

    I'm slightly kidding..I think.

  15. Thanks for the well wishes, peeps.

I am flying out toward Arkansas on Thursday morning. Going to see my peeps in Tulsa for a day before heading over the Arkansas for Le Game.

  16. Can you even fly into Fayettnam?

  17. It can be done, yes,

  18. I just gave wifey fair notice that I won't be good for much next Saturday except watching football.

  19. ehyou.....

I'm trying to plan my day right now..

I was tossing around the idea of going to Memphis and then over to Oxford for the game Saturday...but the lineup of great games on Saturday is making me reconsider.

  20. My daughter likes Jason Mraz. I don't necessarily want him to die, I just want him to never sing again.

  21. ehyou...

My daughter loves him for some reason..It seems like all I am able to listen to in the car is "I'm yours" or something like that.

  22. FSJ - Saturday should be a breeze for UA-T.

Thursday of the following week could be interesting. Cincy @ USF.

  23. In previous seasons, I would be concerned about the early kickoff, and our team not being adequately prepared for it. As we were told, it's impossible to get your team 'up' for more than 3 or 4 games a year.

Somehow I don't think this team is going to come out flat and uninspired in any of its remaining games, no matter what time they start. We may not win, but it won't be because we aren't ready for that first whistle.

  24. Just got back from Knoxville. We had a blast hanging out with Scottie, Kristina, and Earl. Oh yeah... and the game was fun too.

Funny thing happened in the stadium. We walk in, sit down and start meeting the people around us. A guy 2 seats down looks at me and says "Hey, don't you post on HABOTN?" I might have had a shocked look on my face. Big ups to Andrew from Greenville, AL and his wife. They were a lot of fun to hang out with. Quit lurking and start posting!

  28. That's a great story j-z, a bit creepy, but a great story!

    Hi Andrew from Greenville!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Vote for Jay G. It is the right thing to do.

    ReplyDelete
  30. That is a funny story..

You are a HABOTN celebrity now.

    ReplyDelete
  31. So FSJ, what do you think about Ole Nutt? Is Bama ready to go Nutts?

    ReplyDelete
  32. I'm not sold on Ole Miss at all...

Unless we do something crazy we should win the game.

I do expect that we will get their best shot though.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I didn't think to wear my HABOTN cap to the game.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I actually really like that Jason Mraz guy.

    Stan H,

Who are you and what do you do?

    ReplyDelete
  35. So JGT and Jet will be representing the HABOTN Sat. Any other Hotties headed to Arkansas?

Is it just me, or do the polls seem more convoluted than usual? I have all but lost what little confidence I had in them. 1 to 3, fine. 4-25, you've got to be joking. It's a jumbled mess. Sad thing is, if I had a vote, I wouldn't know how to fix it.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Watching the Houston Nutt show right now. I don't think AL will have any trouble defeating Ole Miss. Vandy missed several opportunities in the red zone. They were probably looking ahead.

  38. Next up, Lane Kiffen.

  39. What the heck is wrong with the polls? You people need to relax. There are 9 more polls before they actually mean anything (well, except the AP poll-it's just for funsies throughout). Everything should shake itself out by then. I don't see anything wrong with putting OK up there.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I voted....

    did you

    THANKS STEVEFC

  41. The polls are unusual this year because there appears to be a lot more parity. I have a hard time justifying who should be in the top 10 other than the top 3. there are probably over a dozen teams that could fill in the other 7 remaining slots.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I remember hearing this parity comment every year for the last several years. What was it, two years ago, when there were 8 different #2 teams? I think the polls have been "crazy" for a while< and that it takes a larger sample size for anyone to have a clue. Add into that the "any given Saturday" variable, and you've got a situation where there probably will never be a clear #12 team. 86 or so teams could beat that team and send them tumbling. It makes for good conversation, I guess, but it's just crazy to berate the voters.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Auburn 19......hmm you did say you have no love for Auburn, it just pays your bills. You're below the average vote. OK sucks and would not get close to beating Auburn.
