If Mark Richt would enforce discipline. he has the best athletes in the SEC and could compete for championships every year. DUI's and grades cause undue attrition and penalties hurt in the games.....every year.

Les Miles is a boob...he just won another game by accident...I don't like the guy...going for it on 4th down when you can take a 2 possesion lead..I mean REALLY!! ...what a boob...
when you say RB's aren't our running backs good this year? I think that position is more about "instinct". We've alway had great RB's other than the Rusty Williams/Demontray Carter years. I'm sure Eddie is a great guy I had no use for him b/c of our subpar special teams most of the years.
and by special teams i'm not happy with them this year either.
Ok, CM, I bow to your evaluation. I guess I really like him more because of all he went through with his little girl. I tend to think more from an emotional position than a logical one. Or so my hubby tells me.
but is anyone better than LSU? seems like alot of teams playing at about the same level with UF, Bammer and Texas being a notch above the rest- THUS FAR. Hope we look sharp tonight
I got a lot of respect of Eddie Gran..he's coached some of the best RB's this decade..he was good for AU best of luck to him...except tonight...

I liked Eddie Gran for his recruiting, and I don't have any complaints about his special teams or running back coaching. And Sydney was a beautiful daughter.
I just looked at my picks. I am extremely regular - win, lose, win, lose, win, lose, win, lose
i always hated seeing him and Tubs high five on a good play and smirking and then the special teams goof it up and they show a sideline shot he's nowhere to be found. Other than Tim Carter early on and late in there run our special teams were MEDIOCRE. Our kickers for sure have been hit and miss but i hate seeing coverage teams not prepared.

was anyone on that old staff a good recruiter the last 4 years? we owned our biggest rival for 6 years and we went undefeated in 04 and they couldn't "real them in" with 4 first round NFL picks. They got lazy and quit recruiting. Look at our depth now. WAKE UP AMERICA. I loved Tubs but they fell asleep at the wheel. I just love these guys b/c they are at least FULLY committed.

Craig, our ST play was outstanding in 2004.
Having a first round pick returning punts helped, of course. But we were pretty good on coverage as well. And Vaughn had his best season that year.
That said, we had good KR returns and excellent punting last year, but nothing else.

On an unrelated note, I'm really torn over the GT-MSU game tonight.
The only two schools I care deeply about other than AU facing off against one another. It's a win-win, but also a lose-lose.

In the SEC, the refs would've thrown flags all over the place. Two ND defenders take out a defenseless reciever in the air helmet-to-helmet and knock him out cold. In the old days, that's football. ND apparently hires old school refs.
