Auburn picks up another commitment
Hey everyone. Our friends across the Intertubes -- AuburnSports.com, ITAT and Auburn Undercover -- are reporting that Louisiana WR Trovon Reed has committed to Les Tigres.
Rivals.com ranks Reed as Louisiana's top prospect and the country's No. 7 prep wideout. He is six feet tall and weighs approximately 175 pounds. Reed had offers from basically everyone.
He is the second major offensive recruit to pick Auburn during the past week. Arkansas TB Michael Dyer pledged his undying love toward the Tigers last Friday.

Hey, WTC.... quiet house tonight? How much damage did the girls do today?
What is the BB score?
I just watched Reed make 2 free throws! That has been a real change from last year - made FTs
AU up 47-44
48-49 AU with 11:18 to go
Well, I started off the week with a loss in pickem. It has sort of become a tradition and a good omen for me.
51-50 Au 10:16 left
54-50 AU 9:10 left
Yahoo is showing Niagra with 48... is it 50?
thanks wtc - keep the updates comin if you can.
great pickup on Reed today - you think we end up top 10 nationally next February?
Auburn up 54-52 with 7:42 to go.
http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/basketball/boxscore?gid=200911130028
I think Gawja has mailed it in. AU to win by 9.5 tomorrow.
Florida to walk in a route. By 18.
Alabama slays pups, 24-9.
UT loses a heart breaker to the Rebel 24-23 on a blocked extra point.
And now they're down 60-56 with under 8 to play. Fantastic.
Niagra pulling away now. AU turnovers.
65-56 6:17left
How do we score .5?
Freep-Yes I do.
Prolly abotu 7.
Same old, Same old... sloppy play and turnovers.
Ref only holds one arm up on the extra point.
http://espn.go.com/ncb/gamecast?gameId=293170002
ESPN tracking the game
Hope so Mark.
I think Bama and Florida both fail to cover, but still win.
UT falls prey to the distraction of the arrests and playing an early road game. In years past, early games seemed to benefit the road team, but not this year, especially the last month or so.
Sullivan and Reed are a combined 7-27 from the field tonight...
That is awful!
This is...Auburn basketball.
I think UTee wins. Sometimes a disciplinary 'crisis' happening so close to a road game brings the team closer and they perform well.
I seem to recall one of Arkansas' defensive leaders getting busted for drug trafficking during the week before the '02 game. They came out and kicked our butts.
I hope Bama and Florida both lose tomorrow...
I want to see TCU vs. Boise in the BCS champ game... just to piss off the system.
62-58 Niagra. They are still playing sloppy.
I hate lazy passes.
Miss State lost tonight to Rider...at home...by 14. Um, ok.
I thought even before the arrests that UT would lose, actually.
Houston Nutt is back in his under the radar mode that he thrives in, even as a 4 point favorite.
I am confused. ESPN has score 62-58 Niagra with 4:07 left, Rivals has score 60-58 Niagra with 3:33 left?
I noticed that too, Cincy... Who knows??
64-61 Niagra
2:00 minutes left
still have a shot
wtc, do you know anything about JaMichael Taylor, a sr LB from Wetumpka?
I went to the Auburn High-Wetumpka playoff game tonight. He is #7 for Wetumpka, and he was outstanding. He looks a little undersized, but he sure doesn't play undersized.
Always enjoy your recruiting updates, thanks for sharing information.
65-63 Niagra 54 seconds left
65-63, 52 seconds left.
same score 25 secondsleft
Hawks beat Boston. Sweet.
Niagra misses, AU rebound. Au timeoout
Down 2 with 19 seconds left...
AU 4-22 form 3pt line
outrebounded 36-42
reed 2 pts and the foul
tied up
Tie game with 12 to play
And 1!
AU by 1
Don't see Bama losing to the pups.
What is up with the 3 point shooting?
wtc - are you watching on channelsurfing.net?
12 seconds left
time out
Niagra wil play for the last shot
Scoats yes
Au blocks the shot
Colorado Kool Aid
That way there won't be any trouble.
AU at the line
Hargrove with the swat! Winner Winner!
2 seconds left
did he hit both?
AU by 2 with 2 seconds left
He hit one
AU at the line again hargrove hits 2 FT
And the steal on the inbounds seals it...
Chicken Dinner!
Game over Au wins
So Niagara scored 1 point in the last two minutes? I'll take it.
On to Athens...
69-65
AU played good defense the last 4 minutes. They looked sloppy on offense but made up for it on the defense.
I hope we're better than we played tonight... that was ugly!
scottie-thanks for the link info.
ESPN has score 67-65, Rivals has it 69-65
AU fan-I do no tknow about the Taylor kid. I will see what I can get on him.
Ok, now ESPN has changed it to 69-65.
Cincy-Rivlas has the 69-65 now.
http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/basketball/boxscore?gid=200911130028
Sorry I read your post backwards
wtc,
Rivals now has the score 65-63 Niagra, final
wtc,
Check out the link you sent me and see if I am going crazy
you are right. It read 69-65 when I linked it.
JaMichael Taylor... 1* not rated MLB.
Listed at 6'0" 235#
Currently holds no offers, but lists AU and Miss St as high interest.
Could possibly be a candidate for an invited walk-on spot. Attended an AU camp.
http://scores.espn.go.com/ncb/scoreboard?date=20091113&confId=23
This link is from ESPN.
i see where Miss St lost to Rider.
I am headed to the rack. i got 10.5 miles to run at 6:00am.
Thanks for the info, D Miller.
Tonight was the first time I've seen him,but he was making plays all over the field. Played LB and also some RB. I would love to see him walk-on at Auburn.
Auburn High won a thriller, 27-24.
Well, as far as I can tell, we won!
WAR EAGLE !!
Good night hotties. Get ready to beat Georgia!! War Eagle and sweet dreams.
I must admit that I am not encouraged by the basketball performance. Hopefully Niagra is better than their name would indicate.
good come back win by the basketball team tonight
did i smell something?
oh, just AU basketball...
maybe gus can coach offense in basketball?
Wake,
Tampa was the easiest. Traffic from Naples to tampa. Sarasota sucked. Wreck up in Hernandez Co. Traffic heavy all the way to Geogia. I've made killer time in Georgia. Now between Macon and Athens. Looking like 10.5 hours. Not terrible, but as good as I've done in Ga, it should've been 8.5.
Lots of Auburn fans in Athens already. Many said simply "war damn" as they walked by. Not "war damn eagle" or even "war eagle." I don't like unfinished thoughts.
There are still racists in this world, btw.
morning/nite PF. leaving for Athens in 15 minutes. see ya soon. WDE!
BEAT THE DAWGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and congrats to AU basketball. thanks for all the updates hotties after i went to bed. :)
You guys are WAY TOO early (in PF's case WAY Too late) to be thinking of going to a football game.
Good luck in Athens. I will keep watch from Montgomery.
PF, your desire to drive 10.5 hours to Athens and watch AU makes fel bad that I did not want to drive the distance to Athens from here. Wife, daughter and Dmiller's sis made the trip.
Dmiller-Not sure about the shopping damage. they called last night and were finishing dinner rather late with wife's brother & his wife. Good to get a free place to stay though. still inhte air of whether they drive back after the game.
BTW-remember CHizik's comment about recruiting a punt returner?
I think he and the staff have their eye on one. Watch to see if they start pressing real soon.
Also-the very thing that the papers wrote about this past spring about opportunities for abuse in moving the high school playoffs to UA-AU campus could start have some legs. only because UA has it first, I think there will be some bombs thrown about recruiting violations. (not saying they are true and if AU had it first they would be lobbed our way) but I am hearing some things are taking place that could push the envelope.
Time to go get the morning exercise in. You folks keep it down in here.
Back @ the stadium for the national marching band semis ... then AU victory later. I'm loving it.
Morning Hotties! War Eagle! Beat Jaw-Juh!
It's game day!!! Getting a late start to Athens but should be there in time for Tiger Walk. Hope to see some Hotties there! Sensi, I've got your ticket and your number. FYI: We enter at Gate 2 if I have trouble finding you. I'll have my iPhone.
War Eagle!!!
Georgia hasn’t had such a massive recruiting weekend since it played Auburn in 2005. That year was similar to this one in that Georgia had played the majority of the previous month or so away from Athens and had not had a comparable marquee game when it was at home. The Bulldogs have played just one game at Sanford Stadium since hosting LSU on Oct. 3 and that was Tennessee Tech last week.
http://blogs.ajc.com/recruiting/2009/11/13/richt-bulldogs-brace-for-massive-recruiting-weekend/
War Eagle!!!! HATE GEORGIA!!!!
Sensi has arrived and Wife, Sensi and myself are about to head out. Hope to see some Hotties at the game.
Niagra is a tough tough team according to Jeff Lebo. I think we're gonna win 25 games this year since we gutted it out against a powerhouse like that.
I need info on the Tiger Walk.
Getting up. Better not miss brunch.
wtc, you get to way more than I do(plus you support basketball. I've never met anyone that does that as well as you do. props), so don't feel bad about taking a week off.
War Damn Eagle.
Thanks PF.
I enjoy going over. It isn't that hard when you are only 45 minutes away. The bball games are fun to go to even if they aren't that good. If AU makes a game in Orlando, I will probably be there.
You guys have a great time.
Morning Hotties...
Do your part. Kick a dawg today.
Auburn by 24 today
I'll take a win, but a win by 24 would be nice.
WERK,
How is your Dad doing? I hope he is much better. Keep hate alive and fresh. Kick a bulldog today. War Eagle.
IV,
Thanks for asking. He's not feeling very well right now. The Dr thinks they got everything out, but right now he has a fever and isn't feeling well at all.
He's had to have the liver ablations a couple of times before, but never felt this bad afterward.
Sorry to hear that WERK my prayers will continue for his recovery.
Beat them dogs!!
WERK,
Thinking about your Dad, you and the rest of the family. Maybe, and I hope so, this is just a small setback and there is a much better prognosis very soon. I hope the big Auburn win tonight will help his feelings. I will put in a special prayer for your Dad. War Eagle.
FSJ, I have been resisting the urge to kick my dogs all week and now you go off and tell me to do it? Bad Form.
Still praying for your dad WERK.
War Eagle get some dawgs.
