Shawn Kemp Jr. among five Auburn hoops signees
Hey everyone. This is a quick note to let you know that Shawn Kemp Jr., the oldest son of former NBA star Shawn Kemp, signed a Letter of Intent with the Tigers today.
We know this because our friends at AuburnSports.com, ITAT and AuburnUndercover.com say so.
He's a legit prospect, a 6-foot-9 power forward or center who will bring grit to Auburn's frontcourt. He committed to Alabama last year, but failed to qualify and currently plays at Hargrave (Va.) Military Academy.
Auburn also signed these guys:
PG Anthony Salter, 5-11 (from junior college)
PF Adrian Forbes, 6-8 (from junior college)
PF Heath Houston, 6-7 (from a Georgia high school)
SG Jalen Steele, 6-2 (from a Tennessee high school)

NOw I can....Shawn Kemp substance!
Thanks Jay for letting me get a little excited about basketball...just started last year and I hope it continues in the new arena!
I hope he brings the pain on dunks like his dad.
sweet. a tall center with commanding presence down low...oh, wait, that didn't happen.
PF - you had me there, especially since I was thinking that very thought before I got to your post. I was thinking WHAT? WHO?
Auburn's last legit center?
I have no idea. How about Matt what's his name who played as a freshman then left for GA Tech.
Geiger
It's a mystery, THT. Every year that it remains a mystery is one step closer to Lebo's departure.
Kyle Davis was a shot blocking machine who played center for us.
Hmmm, I assume we are talking basketball because there was no football news. I guess it had to happen, but I am against it.
Steve, I am not a real basketball fan but I can't wait for the women's team to get going again...it was fun
Or maybe that was because football stunk so much last year and I was grasping for anything to help?!
TAKE THAT BAMA!!!!!!!
SHAWN KEMP JR.!
that's pretty damn exciting.
