Dyer commits to the Tigers
Hey everyone. Our friends at AuburnSports.com, who have ace reporter Jeffrey Lee on the ground in Arkansas, are reporting that tailback Michael Dyer has committed to play football at Auburn.
Dyer stands 5-foot-8 and weighs approximately 200 pounds. He is Arkansas' all-time rushing leader with 7,566 yards and 74 touchdowns.
``Coach (Gus) Malzahn is a really good coach and I respect his offense a lot. I know he would do really good things," Dyer told AuburnSports.com. "People promise good things, but I have a great idea that he would do the things that he says he will."
ESPN lists Dyer as the nation's No. 1 prep tailback. Rivals.com and Scout.com rank Dyer third.
More to come on this development.

michael...
kristina's been gone?
to the bottom of the page
Well I couldn't find any more of that change you were supposed to be leaving in my couch as a paycheck, so I assumed I had been furloughed.
As much as I hate UA-T, I could never kill someone over that game. Does that mean the killers are able to hate better than me?
Kriseteenuh, I maintain that the change was placed there per our agreement. You may want to contact the authorities. There might be a thief among your zoo animals.
THT - I killed a Puppet over a game of bumper boats one time. What kind of person does that make me?
a hero?
How do you win at bumper boats? I guess at was a bump-oof to the death. Puppet probably had it coming anyway
Puppets always have it coming to them.
What did that puppet do to you?
It's a puppet...that's all that needs to be said.
uh..I was talking to michael.
i assume puppets have a ZERO TOLERANCE policy, eh?
yep scottie. unless they give you millions of dollars or they promise not to make you bite your own hand off
Faker was joking.
Can you really trust the promise of a puppet though, Harrison?
no, not really. if it tells you that it was probably lying. I just like to see the good in everything
The bumper boat situation was interesting. I really liked the blue bumper boats, but this puppet on my cousin's hand really liked the red one. It was pretty obvious to all who were watching that the blue bumper boats had reall dominated the session we were watching. I mean, there were kids in the red bumper boats crying they were so wet. And this puppet wouldn't shut up about how the red boats had won. So I ended up biting his head off and throwing him in the bumper boat pool.
Sad to say that my cousin's hand was also a casualty that day. He was screaming some nonsense about how the puppet wasn't real and why didn't I realize it was my cousin speaking and blah blah blah. He was hysterical, he had lost a hand after all. And he clearly didn't understand the War on Puppets we have going on in this world.
Few people do understand, mIkel
I know, Krietgfseenah, I know. So many stupid people in this world.
You guys should come live in Eurasia with me. People are forced to hate puppets there. If you all give me your first born, I will even let you in for free!
Puppets rule.
Michael - I had to bite my tongue, even though there wasn't a puppet on it. After all, there are lurkers.
Jay, I'll bet you think you are being a contrarian, don't you? Well the jokes on you, buster. 55% of Americans actually like puppets. Welcome the the majority, Mr Mainstream!
time to shut this thing down (this pc, not HABOTN), in the unrealistic expectation that I may be able to leave on time.
Later, Hotties!
i bet jay g. loves the Yankees and Creed
Can you take me hiiiigher?
Goodbye, THT. Watch out for puppets.
Did you guys know that Jay G once told me that Nickelback's "Silver Side Up" is the embodiment of Musical Artistry? Well he did.
I don't know why "Musical Artistry" was just capitalized. I guess maybe I thought Jay felt it was a proper noun when telling me about Nickleback.
I believe you, you've never lied to me before. Except when you said we were friends, then never answer my phone calls or meet me at Chili's for cheesesteaks.
There was also the time I told you that helicopter I built you could fly. That is a particularly big one I am proud of.
Harrison fell for that?
Yeah, and I have 2 dead cats to show for it.
You know it's Puppet Hour when Musical Artistry and Nickelback are used in the same sentence.
A Puppet would just the being to suggest such nonsense...
he is some kind of engineer Jay. I trusted him, so did Kittie and Butters
Harrison, I remember making a joke about Kittie being toast and Butter being melted, and something about how if the you got some cheese to go with that w(h)ine then you would have a grilled cheese sandwich... and some wine to drink. Or something.
Cause you were whining about dead cats. Get it?!
This is out of the blue, but I watched that show "The League" on FX last night and one of the main characters looks a lot like Jay G.
yeah I remember. I just giggled and pretended I got it though. Hindsight is 20/20 ya know??
I just giggle and pretend to get things in engineering meetings, and I think it has served me pretty well so far. I even giggle when people say things like, "If this part fails, people die." I mean, if they are trying to be funny and I am missing it, then how does that reflect on me if I don't giggle, you know?
You have to giggle or everyone will think you're stupid. I do it all the time in our pharmacy meetings. Except we don't have those.
Kristeenhu once told me the world of pharmacy is a lot like being a vegetarian: no MEATings! I giggled and nodded. Did I get it or not? Well that is a secret I am not sharing here.
Puppet hour on a Friday afternoon is the best.
Puppet houur started early.
Is it over?
Is it safe to come in?
come on in water's warm. (cause i peed in it)
Too hot for me then
Kristina are you Tailgating tomorrow?
I will be at the game and will be at a friends tailgate but would like to come by your party if you are there.
I don't think we are tailgating tomorrow, Digger. But we will be in full effect for the Bama game of course. All Hotties are welcome!
MiKal...uh.....yeah....ok?
OK, Thanks for letting me know
If Scottie could get those HABOTN flags made like Cincy suggested it sure would make it a lot easier for us to find each other...
(HINT, HINT, SCOTTIE!)
I'd feel a whole lot better about getting home from work on a Friday if I didn't have to go back to work this weekend.
Wow, I just heard MrsTHT drive up. It's only 6:10 and she's only been at work 12 hours. I hope everything is ok
Anyone got the skinny on how I can listen/watch the game mañana from south Florida without paying a bunch of money?
What about bammer hotties zookeeper?
Did you know that in Denver, Puppet Hour just started?
Which begs the question, do puppets recongnize the International Dateline?
Seriously, I want to know.
Chili dogs and onion rings @ the Dew Drop Inn.
All hotties, faker. But I may charge you a cover fee or something.
White Russians are the drink du jour tonight. The Dude abides.
Isn't the Dew Drop Inn where Jason used to sneak off an play his guitar on the Waltons?
Man, the HABOTN was rockin this afternoon. I come home and it dies, this always happens.
It's kinda late on a Friday.
See you all at El Domino ... if you're going that way.
"Auburn is on the rise. We want it to be that team that everybody talks about like Florida or LSU. Auburn is going to be that one day. Once we all get there and get on the same page, we are going to make history." --Michael Dyer
Playoff football ... Good times. Hate UAT.
Mmmmm.... Playoffs. Time for HS football to get interesting again and for me to eat copious amounts of boiled peanuts.
Really, is there anything better than a good mess of boiled peanuts? (except for chocolate and peanut butter, of course.)
Dang...I haven't killed a thread in a long time. Nice to know I still have the magic.
hey. answer my question....and I need info on any Hottie in Athens tailgates. Pronto.
“The last few weeks, me and Marcus Lattimore have had conversations and sent texts back and forth trying to figure out what’s going on and to see if he’s going to go to Auburn or not,” Dyer said. “I told him it would be great for both of us to come out there and tag-team and run the ball. He seemed to be very respectful like he would fit into Auburn. I have been working on him to get him to commit there. He’s a nice guy and it would be pretty amazing to get him to commit to Auburn.” DYER
“I am definitely recruiting now…Marcus Lattimore…I’m definitely gonna do my best to try and get him on board” -Michael Dyer
How'd your team do Jet?
I must be doing something right. Both of my girls demand boiled peanuts and beef jerky on a weekly basis. It does my heart (and stomach) good to oblige them.
anyone got a score on Brooks vs N Jackson?
Ehyou... that brought tears to my eyes. That's a sign of good parenting skills right there. Continue to raise them up right.
PF...
Looks like final was 54-20 N Jackson.
dang.
j-z,.
Did you delete me, or did I delete you from Facebook? I apparently accidentally deleted 20 friends last week.
jz...
Generous samples of (perfected?) beef jerky may be obtained by providing mailing address to jay.adams.au@gmail.com. I made too much this time.
Man... I think you deleted me. I was wondering what I did to piss you off. I was gone from fb for about a week, come back, and PF is big timing me.
Generous amounts of Jambalaya and BBQ will be available tomorrow in NE Alabama around 2:30....
52-7
ouch..
jet...
The presentation leads me to believe it's not to the good. Yes or no.
I'm getting nervous for Boise State. Dangit. Dooley's Dogs are trying to give TCU an uncontested pass.
Prattville 50-13 over Dothan. Looks like we'll play Central Phenix City next week.
Whoa! Why is La Tech not getting flagged? Their band played all the way through that kickoff and return. Not allowed.
I wish every reciever on the field for this game(not including hoof handed TEs) had gone to Auburn. Some great catches tonight making okay QBs look good.
Looks like Gadsden won tonight and will play Florence next Friday.
Just got done sorting through the kids Halloween candy... again. There is a special level of hell reserved for people who give out pencils for Halloween treats.
I did manage to find the last miniature Reese's cup though, so I've got that going for me.
LA Tech folded like a cheap suit.
Anyone else catch Dyer's game tonight?
Im very concerned about the level of competition Dyer is playing at Little Rock Christian besides him there was maybe 1 other D1 athlete on the field (moseley)
I forget who was asking about the Droid phone on Verizon..
Here are a bunch of reviews..
Motorola Droid
I swear the announcers on the ESPNU high school game tonight said "Auburn" 783 times in the span of that game.
I got the impression that Dyer just might have verbally committed to Auburn!!!!
Hi Hotties! Just checking in before heading to bed. It has been a goodAuburn day. Can't wait for tomorrow. Hope to see some of you at our tailgate.
missinit...
I'm impressed that you counted each mention.
That's dedication!
Dyer stats: 235 yards, 5 tds.
Hey Faker!!!
Well.....truth be known, I probably missed a few!!!
Hey, did you give Abbie that little kiss and hug yesterday? Is she responding to her treatments okay?
I do hope there is a lot of medical research being done that will help her.
Give her another hug for me!
i did give Abbie a big hug and kiss.
She is doing well. There is alot of research out there that people more knowledgeable than me are very hopeful about.
Big Al was in Gadsden tonight. She said today that she wanted to go see him. Naturally when she actually saw him she was scared of him..
So I took her to the mall. One of the sports stores had huge blow up Big Al's and Aubies. Guess which one she wanted me to take a picture of her with...
Yep...Aubie.
I couldn't do it.
FSJ...
The honesty of a child is undeniable. How could you choose to refute it? You've got some bad karma coming your way.
I feel your pain. If mine wanted to get their pic with AL.....unh unh. No way.
Have we forgotten about Aycock? No reason not to expect him to be pretty good next year.
So Dyer referred to us as the University of Auburn today at the press conference.
We'll straighten him out.
Come On Faker....dang!
You, my dear, have a very smart little girl who is very possibly coming around to "seeing the light"!
And you, you ole bammer, should give in to her whims once in a while...just saying!!!
yeah and the war eagles
FSJ shes just trying to be a good kid
jhag,
Since you have had a few extra days to twiddle your thumbs have you decided where you will hang your hat for the next 4 (or 5 or 6) years?????
The time is just about upon you.
Just asking??????
ehh I have until the spring. Im going to visit Ole Miss Thursday for the Ole Miss/ UT game... still cant decide yet.
Go visit Ole Miss jhag and have a good time. Don't expect it to be Auburn bro because it's not close.
Yeah, from all ive heard Oxford is a blast...how would you say it varies from Auburn?
Birthday Boy Pat Dye did the same thing in his introductory news conference.
He turned out OK.
Just sayin'.
Why do coaches do what they do?
If you walk into a game after film study with a conservative expectation of winning by 3-4 TDs, why do you run a trick play on the opening kickoff?
You just wasted a play for the rest of the playoffs.
The play worked beautifully. UMS-Wright scored ... they returned left, slammed on the breaks and threw the ball back across the field to a player who raced down their sideline for a TD. Nicely executed. But why not use that against a team where every opportunity makes a difference?
Some will say, I guess, it will make opponents think down the road. Just makes no sense to be to use that in a game when you win 52-7.
Kinda like faking a punt against Ball State and getting one of your best offensive weapons hurt.
Just sayin'.
Wonder if Elizabeth Lambert could play safety?
Jetman-Just got in from the shindig in Auburn. Good times had by me. Embarassed my daughter, as a fther should, but she will get over it before she graduates.
Have to be back in AU Saturday by 10am for a tailgate gathering at the chapter room. Wil try to make it to Cincy's place. you have my cell. Give me a ring when you head that way.
Need to get to sleep. Gotta hit the pavement at 6:00am for quick 10 miler.
Just wanted to stop by and say that, without any remorse, regard, and with all conviction, Bama sucks. There, I said it, and that is all for now.
P.S. War Damn Eagle!!!!
Good morning Hotties! Coming to you live from the workplace. I'll be home in time to watch football this afternoon.
WARRRRRRRRR EAGLE!!!
GO TIGERS!!!
GEAUX TIGERS!!!
What a glorious day for football.
good morning hotties.
IT'S GAAAMMMEEEDDDAAAYYYY!!!!!!
CRUSH FURMAN/REST THE STARTERS!
GEAUX TIGERS!!!!!!!!
I'm hoping the band knocks a cameraman out again today in pregame. That's when I knew we were going to beat Ole Miss.
Good morning and War Eagle, Hotties!
I have already been hatin' this morning and it wasn't even 7:00.
GEAUX TIGERS!!!
j-z, when did that happen? I missed that!

I was also impressed with Bud Thomas (I THINK that's his last name). He played defense, #23. But, he was on Dyer's team...

Kathy, I saw on LRCA's website that two weeks ago, Dyer broke the state's all-time rushing record. He had 175 yards in that game. I think it might be awhile before anyone breaks his record. But, like jhag said, if Pulaski is representative of the level of competition...
Onr more thing before you think I've highjacked this thread or you think I've gone crazy talking to myself...
I just watched clips of Dyer's press conference on the LRCA website. Someone asked him of the three schools he had it narrowed down to, why did he chose Auburn. He said he chose the place where he felt the most comfortable and then he got a big smile on his face and said that is why he chose Auburn. As you all know, I didn't go to school, but it must be a pretty special place...
Good morning....
"but it must be a pretty special place"
It truly is.
LOL, I just reread my last post. Now you must think I didn't go to school!
For those worried about Dyer's level of competition ...
... I don't recall it being a problem for Herschel Walker.
... Or Tommie Agee
... Or Courtney Taylor
... Or Ben Tate
Jet, but all those people aren't from Arkansas. Ben Tate is a yankee, just like me!
Love hearing my old coach, Tricketton Gameday. I'm about a hour away from Auburn!
Eddie, have a great time!
Will do Luv.
Morning, HOT ONES.
Still recovering from a formal party last night. I did knock that tuxedo out of the park, too.
Saw/met JD, too. That's a highlight.
War Eagle!!! Skies are orange and blue today.
Unfortunately Luv, I didn't have the opportunity to attend Auburn either. They didn't have a nursing school way back then; however, I have been a fan longer than I can remember and have lost count on the number of games I have attended. I sent replacements to today's game. I didn't want any empty seats on my account. Fedex delivered my Georgia tickets yesterday, and I did get them below face value.
Jay G,
I am STRUUUUUUGLING today as well. It was awesome meeting the HABOTNED One last night.
And Geaux Tigers! I've got two loud, obnoxious AL fans in my office that I'm tired of hearing. One of them did not attend the university but has been a fan for as long as I've known him although he doesn't go to the games. The other one is from Oregon State but she married into the family and is the worst of the two! I do have to say that I work with 3 UA graduates who are very nice, and I do enjoy talking football with them. Those other 2 just ruin it for the rest of us! And of course there are the obnoxious nephews, nieces, brother, brother-in-law, and future sister-in-law who will be at my house on Thanksgiving!
