  2. CIncy,
Roads in Huntsville/Madison are fine. Should be OK to Nashville by tomorrow. I think temps rise today.

    ReplyDelete
  3. On another note, Spurrier will have to call out the National Guard to get to Lattimore's house today!

    ReplyDelete
  4. Wouldn't that be the cherry on top of the cake, Kathy! Hopefully last night's gymnastics win was the start of a great week for Auburn!

  5. Here's a site you can go to for road conditions in Alabama:

  7. Hey, Jay, no boys allowed.

Just kidding, since it is your blog :)

  8. There were over 8,5000 people in attendance at last night's gymnastics event?

    AUsome!

    ReplyDelete
  9. Thanks for the link Kathy. I think it will be okay tomorrow. The snow is supposed to stop by noon today in Nashville, so roads should be cleared by tomorrow afternoon.

    ReplyDelete
  10. yeah i was proud of the ladies last night, i'm sure there will be great attendance today too, just hope we pull it out

  11. So are the Senior Bowl and the AU-AL game both at 3 pm?

    ReplyDelete
  12. $20? I'd pay 6-7, but no more, to watch any games during Lebo's final year.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Prediction: UAT 75, AU 61 (after AU leads @ half by 1).

    ReplyDelete
  14. Jet, that sounds about right after what we've watched the past couple weeks

    ReplyDelete
  15. Don't know if Auburn can score 61 against the slow down game that Bama plays

    ReplyDelete
  16. Let me be the first to predict an Auburn win over the walmartians today. And I think it will be by more than just a squeak by score.

    ReplyDelete
  17. We're on our way to the Loveliest Village. I sure hope the men surprise us today.

PF, Iwouldn't pay $20 either. When I saw how much they were, I said, "That's BS. They should be $10 at the most for the product that Lebo is putting on the court.". Besides that, our seats are in the rafters!

  18. Cincy always with her orange and blue glasses on!

    ReplyDelete
  19. Y'all know I'm outfitted with the latest in orange colored glasses and I live in la-la land. But, it is a wonderful way to live.

  20. Luv,
Have a great time and pull us through with a W!!

  23. I'll do my best, Cincy! At least they have the advantage of the crowd like they did against UK.

  24. LUV - thanks for supporting our Tigers in person! Have a safe trip.

JayGT - I'll be enjoying the blawwwwwggin

  25. Was MrsTHT supposed to work today?
    No.
Did they call MrsTHT to come in today?
    No.
    Where is MrsTHT?
    At work.

  26. Auburn gets it done today, book it 78-65

  27. Stu drinking the crazy punch

    ReplyDelete
  28. Let me first say that I hope AU wins today 83-64 while shooting 60% from the field and setting a school record for 3's made in a game.

Realistically, I think we come closer to shooting 34%, with 26 turnovers, and lose 73-49. Reed will be our leading scorer with 19 after shooting 28% from the floor and having 18 turnovers. But, Lebo leaves him in the game for some reason.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I hope AU wins but I don't know. I will say I was at the game Sharpe hit the game winner from half court wow that was great

I'd pay $20 (even though I can't be there) if JJ would guarantee it WOULD be Lebo's last year.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Anonymous11:48 AM

I can't get today's game but the Ladies are on ESNU tomorrow at 6:00 EST.

    ReplyDelete
  32. AU will beat the walmartians today by about 8. Sullivan and Knox will both have big games.

    ReplyDelete
  33. but it still won't be enough to save Lebo's job.

What year was it that we beat them by 50?

    ReplyDelete
  34. i hope we pull it out...would like to see an SEC win live

  35. Feb. 14, 1970: Auburn 121, Alabama 78 in Auburn
(John Mengelt had 60 points for AU)

    Jan. 18, 1998: Auburn 94, Alabama 40 in Auburn

  36. One thing I'm concerned about if they demolish the Beav: the plaque on the concourse that memorializes the construction has my father's name on it. He's listed as the secretary of the bond committee that financed the construction. I don't want that to be lost. Otherwise, implode the dump.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Surely they'll try to auction/sell memorabilia from the dump? I can't think of any I'd want.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Jet you should try and contact the univeristy and ask if you can have it.

    ReplyDelete
  39. watching the WVU and L'ville game. Huggins is the type of coach I want. The refs just missed a very easy call and he got all over them. He didn't just make faces and sit on his hands.

    ReplyDelete
  40. CH ... That's my intent.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Jet - I already contacted them. It's mine but I'll entertain offers.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I still don't know if a Huggins type coach would rally the fan base, and more importantly, the students.

    Maybe I'm wrong, though.

    ReplyDelete
  43. This explains some of Au's issues this year.

  44. E-bro, I don't necessarily mean him exactly but I want someone with his fire. I keep going back to B. Pearl, not only is he firery but he brings the fans/students into the program.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I Wish I cared about basketball. It would bridge the gap between college football and baseball starting up in the spring. But I don't.

These are my darkest hours now awaiting the start of baseball season with a little spring football practice nuggets thrown in.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Didn't the football coach doom himself with similar circumstances?

    ReplyDelete
  47. You would be correct Seanzie, a little different situation though.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Presdient Obama has joined Verne and Clark down on the court at the moment.

    Not something you see everyday.

    ReplyDelete
  49. CHB...I hear ya. Pearl is the type of coach I have in mind as well, minus the off the court issues of his player.

I want to have a coach who can recruit and can have a fundamentally sound team, but before that, I'd settle for a coach to rally everyone around him...as much as is possible at Auburn anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Obama takin' basketball...isn't he supposed to be taking on the BCS or something?

    ReplyDelete
  51. Anonymous1:47 PM

There may be other factors in the basketball recruiting problems, but the majority of the blame has to fall squarely on Lebo. It's his job to get the players and make sure they're ready. He isn't doing either.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Anonymous1:47 PM

    That's referring to PM's article.

    ReplyDelete
  53. FWIW-Just read a blurb from the Miami Rivals site that listed the visitors this weekend. They list Coleman as a visitor and the Rivals guy says:
The Skinny: Coleman's coach confirmed for CaneSport that he will visit this weekend, but it'll be tough to pull him from Auburn where he is committed.

thought you might want to know that.

    ReplyDelete
  54. NOVA-there are other issues that kept this team down, but Lebo does bare the wrath for it. He may not get a chance to go t the new arena, but the new guy needs to be a GOOD hire. AU does not need a fill the shoes coach to just get by.

I have said this for a long time. if you win, fans will come.
That happens everywhere. Look at the high school level. If the team does not win, the attendance is very poor.

    ReplyDelete
  55. wtc - I have it on good authority that, if you build it, they will come.

    Get some.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Here's my guy ...

If you build it but you still have a coach that can't recruit, they won't come.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Man, what is all this basketball jibber jabber?

    ReplyDelete
  59. I know Michael, last I checked Auburn's team had yet to effectively join in the SEC basketball season.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Werd on da skreet is....
Jones is visiting LaTech with friend and teammate Alan Turner this weekend. Turner is expected to commit to LT, and if he does, Jones comes to AU. Lemonier, Whit, and Latt will all be part of the AU class come Wednesday...
At least that is what I am hearing. My dog just ran through a mud hole to tell me.

  67. Obviously, the online program to order tix is NOT set up as "best available" cuz when I said we'd be sitting in the rafters, I wasn't kidding. We are in the very top row.
