Gettin' caught up
Hey everyone. We have a few items to discuss.
If you're interested in why Auburn basketball beat Georgia like a drum last night, you may learn the secret via my story in today's editions of the Montgomery Advertiser. It's free of charge. (Note my excellent lead paragraphs.)
If you're interested in a "proper" story about Aairon Savage, you also may read that. It's free of charge. Comments from former Auburn offensive lineman (and current NFL millionaire) Ben Grubbs of Eclectic, Ala., are included for your reading pleasure.
PROGRAMMING NOTE: We will be holding our second Video Campfire® this afternoon beginning officially at 3 p.m. CST. The pre-party starts around 2:45 as I fumble with the equipment. Please attend and ask me questions. That makes me a happy HOTTIE.
Have a nice day.

Howdy
And also with you.
Great job with everything Mr JGT
Thank ooooooo!
Hey Jay,
Will the pugs be around? They're funny.
JGT, your lead paragraphs are unparalleled.
"Officer! My God! They're looting the Food King!"
Good read. I enjoy any read that involves Auburn beating Georgia.
Pugs are always around.
They have nowhere else to go.
glad JG is a happy hottie.
No prisoners!
I'll unfortunately miss the video campfire, but good to read the secret behind the win last night.
PF, I just read your last post to a coworker and she laughed hysterically!!
Your co-worker finds questions about pugs hysterical?
Sorry, PF, I should have been more specific - your last post on the previous thread.
I have so many questions about the secret and the star.
Oh, that. Cool. Glad I could bring joy into the hearts of Radiologists. I need some joy, too. Some things in this world suck really bad. I hope my Ustream app works and I get to see the pugs. I think they'll give me a little joy.
I like radiologists.
Well, some of them. One retired radiologist in particular.
Stayed up past my bedtime and enjoyed it very much. Good game good company.
I may have to miss this afternoons campfire. :<(
PF, just to clarify...I'm not a radiologist. I'm a radiologic technologist. A radiologist is a doctor. My coworker isn't having a very good week, so you made her day.
Excellent article about the game last night, Jay G. Now I REALLY wish it had been on tv. Both my boys had great games.
The snow is on it's way, Gumpians. Light snow is falling in Shreveport.
Since I hate the Valentine's candy, card and flower cartel I had planned an old fashion Chicago Valentines day.
Get ammo for my 1919 Thompson-Sub Machine gun invite 20 of my mullturd asscocitates over for a line the wall and shoot party.
But alas because of my shady character I can no longer purchase the ammo.
Such is life.
As the Unofficial Mayor of East Vaughngumpery, I hereby raise the Official Panic Level from Level 1 to Level 2.
Citizens of East Vaughngumpery should be making grocery lists and home supply store shopping lists.
LOL, Jet!
digger & jet are all about a little anarchy today.
i like it.
JGT.... Campfire Substance.... i love it!!!
Love the story on Savage, Jay. I am expecting him to be one of our starting corners, although I suppose he could end up at safety. The guy has skills.
I read the articles this morning. Nice work as usual. In training today but I hope to be able to see part of the video campfire once I'm finished.
If the boss is not around this afternoon I am in on the video campfire. If he does not take off sorry I will have to miss it.
Jay thanks for the good read and the all of the work
Radiology (and most things related to it) are just one of many medical things which are good for my employer. And we're here to make sure you all get what you need from whomever your provider is over the next few years. You can't escape us. We're everywhere. You likely don't even know it's us (unless you're a doctor or provider) since our corporate name isn't all over it. But trust me, we're there. No one's bigger.
Along those lines, PF, you might want to get that thing checked out. You know what I mean, don't pretend like you don't. (not that we're spying or anything...)
jet, I am already planning to stay home tomorrow! Just need an excuse! Guess I'll take home some work this afternoon in case.
I've lived in a lot of places with snow so no big deal...it's the rest of the idiots who don't know how to drive!
Anybody see where the Big Ten is making a run at Texas to join their conference?
Surely there's no way this happens, but I think it's ridiculous that it's even being talked about.
What's next? Just eliminate regional conferences and form super conferences?
Panic. panic it is now time for all good citizens of Gumpville and such to rush to the grocery store and buy out all milk and bread counters.
This is not a test it is real and must be adhered to.
The Advertiser had such a shady front page today.
The main story was about how Montgomery might get 1-3 inches of snow.
The art? From BALTIMORE of some dude shoveling out from his 20+ inches of snow.
Misleading? I think so.
Snow and hyperbole are two peas in a pod here in the South.
My fear for tomorrow is not for the safety of others in regard to my driving, but rather for my own safety in regard to their driving.
And by "their" I am referring to all the idiots on the road (I don't view myself as an idiot on the road, thus I didn't say 'other idiots').
SNOW! SNOW! WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!
The milk and bread sales-folk are licking their chops right now.
Hey, Hotties!
I remember the big snow of '73; I think missinit mentioned it before. The official amount in Phenix City/Columbus was 14 inches, I think; but in some places it was 20 inches or more. Montgomery and Auburn had snow but not so much. The snow in the Chattahoochee valley stayed on the ground for weeks under trees and bushes.
Ben Tate in am740.
"on"
Ben Tate--Interview of Sustance.
Intelligent and articulate.
Thanks, dan dan for the interview info.
Welcome.
Don't forget the toilet paper.
Went to the library on lunch break and saw a book that piqued my interest.
Got back and wiki'd Tim Dorsey - Auburn grad, former editor of Plainsman, worked for Montgomery newspaper (Advertiser?).
I found this extremely cool. Will definitely be giving him a try.
ehyou, so what was the book?
Is there anyway to listen to Ben Tate after the fact?
NoVA, so what was the total yesterday? At 2:00p.m., my mom said it looked like it was about as much as they had gotten Saturday.
The total from this one was 10.5. It broke a record from 1894 for the most snow in a season.
A lot of it blew into drifts. Fortunately, it drifted behind my car and left the front free so I can get out when I'm ready.
Not sure which book luv, just made a note of author's name to see if he wrote stuff I'd be interested in.
Good afternoon boys & girls. Glad to see the boys took it to Gawgia last night. I've been out of pocket with K3 at his spelling bee so it is time to get "caught up"
michael. you silly goat, only evg is getting snow. You're getting a headache...
Speaking of headaches, what the biscuit is going on with kids in Madison?
Luv...
If you go to 740's site and click on Instant Replay they have archives of recent interviews. Tate isn't up yet, but should be in the near future.
Video campfire® = one hour away
yikes! I don't know if i can get to the grocery store and back in time. Not a snow preparation grocery store trip, just a regular ol' we're out of food time to go to the grocery store kind of trip.
I hate that these video chats fall at 4pm EST. Never a good time for me since I'm on the road. Sounds like fun if you can be there.
Eddie...Got an issue? Here's a tissue.
I kid. I kid.
i thought Eddie was supposed to be in Epcot at 4pm EST. something sounds fishy.
If dreaming made it so, he would be.
Pre-party has started:
VIDEO LINK
Level 3 Snow Panic Alert has been issued.
i forgot, did I sign in the last time? I don't remember creating a ustream acc't
LOL, Jet! What happens when you get to a Level 5?
Level 5, to use Obama phrase is SNOWMAGEDDON!
