I see that Kenneth Carter has apparently qualified and will be reporting to the plains soon. This is very good news. I was thinking we needed one more defensive tackle in last year's class because I thought Carter wasn't going to qualify. I am glad I was wrong.
JGT or wtc or Miller or anyone who knows... The great news on Kenneth Carter got me thinking about the scholly limits again. 5 of these 32 count towards the 2009 limit. That leaves 27 with a limit of 25 who can enroll with a 2010 scholly. Any update on who gets left out and/or doesn't qualify?
Ladarious Phillips Shon Coleman Tunde Fariyike Corey Lemonier Ryan Smith Jeffrey Whitaker Eric Mack Cameron Newton Ryan White Brandon Mosley Roszell Gayden Chris Davis Antonio Goodwin Dakota Mosley Trovon Reed Michael Dyer Ed Christian Steven Clark Craig Sanders LaDarius Owens Justin Delaine Kenneth Carter Chad Slade Demetruce McNeal Joel Bonomolo Jonathon Mincy Jessel Curry Jawara White Jeremy Richardson Shaun Kitchens Jake Holland Cody Parkey
THT, Jeremy Richardson is already enrolled in JuCo for the Summer and plans to re-sign with AU in December if everything goes according to plan. That leaves 1 more spot that would need to open up. I haven't heard any further speculation as to anyone else that may not qualify. The Punter would be the first on the list to Grayshirt or walk-on.
What may be the most impressive thing about this signing class is the number who actually make it to two-a-days. In the past we have usually had about 17 or 18 by August.
Somehow my 1st Frazier comment posted after my 2nd Frazier comment that he was indeed at the game. Wow. How did I do that? I'm sure it was an operator error!
Congrats!! and War Eagle!

ReplyDeleteIf they all qualify, my guess is the punter and the long snapper.
ReplyDeleteUh oh, we didn't sign a long snapper.
THT surely the coaching staff has looked at this and knows something or has a plan. At least I hope so but if anyone does knows something speak up.
ReplyDeleteSince you asked for my opinion ... I say Dakota Mosley grayshirts.
