«Oldest ‹Older 2601 – 2800 of 3816 Newer› Newest»
Stinky runs sounds bad, not good. I'm sure there's a thread for that elsewhere.
"Auburn finalized its 2021 nonconference schedule, adding a season-opening matchup with Akron". That sounds like a great way for Gus to start a national championship season. I approve.
2604 - Stinky runs everywhere forces all ski resorts into bankruptcy.
Been mostly on internet blackout what with the Aussie Open going on. Generally watch the coverage until about midnight and then the rest when I get home from work, by which time the next day's coverage is already beginning.
It's a grind, but worth it.
2605 - Warmest Australian Open on record. A real scorcher.
My PREDS didn't send anyone to the Australian Open this year, so I haven't been paying much attention.
2606 - PREDS win the Australian open. The weather is temperate.
PREDS @ Knights on NBCSN tonight. Go Team!
Penguins haven't played since Sat. I think the franchise may have folded after their most recent miserable road trip.
2607 - Penguins win the British Open. That makes Gilmore Happy.
Subban fed his pinky to a Vegas player last night and then seemed surprised at the outcome. That PREDS backup goalie was fantastic.
AU basketball is doomed to mediocrity this season. The curse of 1975-76 will see to that.
2608 - WHL folds after one summer. Seems the world just wasn't quite ready for water hockey with a beach ball and jet skis.
My favorite thing about my PREDS is how we prepare our backup goalies.
THT... are you ever going to post again on that other board?
2609 - you'll believe a man can fly.
I now see you are deleting as you go to maintain 88 posts. While the internet historian in me winces at this practice, I applaud your devotion.
2610 - Wince! All of you! Wince!!!!
Haven't deleted a thing, though that is an excellent idea to make it legit!
I fly all the time in my dreams. Barely missed a power line the other night.
2611 - THT finally realizes that Crosby won the 2019 NHL All-Star MVP award.
ohhhh i see. you tricked me with the "Posts 88" thing. Clever.
My daughter is doing a paper on lucid dreams. We've talked about it so much that I had a lucid dream the other day. Wasn't very cool though. I woke up within the dream and in continued to be a normal dream. The lucidity was lost.
2612 - Silent lucidity
Go to sleep. Everything is all right. These dreams come on when I close my eyes. Help me to forget today's pain. The dream police, they're coming to arrest me. Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?
2613 - Parole is here! Unfortunately, it's meeting night at the Buy More; I'd rather stay in my cell.
Snow is coming! Maybe. We'll see.
Don't worry, my wife picked up some milk at the store today, and we were already good on bread.
2614 - The Bread and Milk Wars begin.
The snow did not come!
2614 - Battle of Midway turns the tide in the Bread and Milk Wars
Plenty of rain here, as predicted :( Watching Jack Reacher for the umpteenth time. Nothing like a good Pittsburgh movie.
2616 - 2616 bears the brunt of undeserved criticism over the slight to 2015.
I obviously shouldn't post while watching Jack Reacher kick butt.
2342324829834 - Planet of the Apes is no longer fiction
Did Jack Reacher end up winning?
2617 - The Bread and Milk Wars come to and end, but the Milk and Bread Wars begin.
Had less than 3 inches on the ground where I was, MJT.
Now that I'm a CIV employee instead of CTR, it was nice to get the day off without using any personal leave.
2619 - Cereal sides with Milk in the Milk and Bread Wars.
You're a CIV now, huh? did you get that month long backpaid leave, or were you essential?
2620 - Between the entrance of Cereal and the introduction of toasters into battle, things aren't looking good for Bread
I work for the Army and our budget had already been fully funded, so no shutdown for me.
2621 - Chords to the toasters are cut, giving bread a lifeline.
Chords to the toasters... that rings a tune.
2622 - Cereal, made from grains, captured and tried for treason. At the trial, milk spills under intense cross examination. Creal bran ded a traitor and executed.
Puppet Hour! Those were the good ol' days.
2623 - Puppet Hour is declared a national holiday
Puppet hour was cracking back in the day. I forget how chaotic this place could be back then.
I think I have the flu. Everybody has the flu.
2624 - Flu
Are you feeling better?
Bring out your dead!
2625 - the flu flew by; it's already 2625
I've just had a headache for about a day now. Feels more like a cold than the fly. No temperature.
The wife and three of the kids have the flu, so maybe it is the flu and I'm just super tough?
2626 - Auburn signs Flu McFluboo on signing day.
I don't want the flu. Please wipe your keyboard with alcohol or H2O2 before you post. As old as I am, the flu could kill me, especially since I don't ever get flu shot.
2627 - longing for 2829 on the next page
I was in W-S all day. I'm guessing we signed the best class in the country and we flipped a bunch of 5* recruits from our rivals. I'm right, aren't I?
2628 - AU signs the first class of all 5* recruits.
We really didn't want any new 5* recruits yesterday. It's much better to get 3* and coach 'em up.
2629 - Auburn loses every game because the 5* recruits all have bad attitudes
that 2629 prediction made me laugh. I can't find a single televised sporting event worthy of a mid-winter campfire. Good thing the weather is warm or we'd just freeze tonight.
2630 - AU coaches up Feng's great grandson from 1* to All-American. Not only does the football team win all games, but they get great marks for their dissertations.
Is it Friday yet?
2631 - The national champion Auburn football team is invited to the Turquoise House, where President Donald Trump VIII serves hot dogs at the celebration dinner. Feng's great grandson mysteriously falls into a coma.
Where have you been?! It was Friday like a week ago.
If you leave by midnight, you should be able to get to W-S in time to help us paint tomorrow. I'll have a Chick Fil A bacon & egg biscuit waiting for you, and some Krispy-Kreme doughnuts.
2632 - DTVIII outlandish claim the previous year that Feng's coma resulted from Russians tampering with the hot dogs is proven correct.
michael, since you didn't show, I ate all your food. I was so full, I wasn't able to paint. MrsTHT blames you, or she would if she knew all the details.
2633 - PeterFrankenschmidt returns to Hv1.0, just two centuries before Monica's cataclysmic return.
I left five minutes after midnight. When I was pulling into W-S, I realized I was late. Embarrassed, I drove back to Hville.
Feel free to tell MrsTHT it's all my fault. I feel just terrible about the whole thing. Just terrible.
2634 - paint goes extinct
I can't wait til 2634!
Last night weatherman predicted high of 68 today. So far, we've made it all the way up to 46 with gray mist all day. Pure unadulterated rain tonight. Forget global warming, what we really need to focus our attention on is global wetting.
2635 - Battle of Midway really heats up with two new combatants, each eager to fill the paint void. Shellac and Varnish, neither of which has any scruples, bring unprecedented stain to the art of warfare.
I've just returned from the blogger awards show where I accepted a bloggie for best 3:29 PM post on jaygtate.blogspot.com.
michael, I threw your bloggie for best 1:21 PM post into the Ohio River. If you go to Memphis and put a big seine in the river, you may be able to retrieve it.
2636 - the last bedbug utters a stream of profanity and then dies.
man i've been sick for like 3 weeks. will it ever end?
2637 - still sick
take two aspirin and post in the morning.
2638 - some fool finds a prehistoric bedbug in amber and does something really stupid
you didn't take your asprin, did you?
This guy is spot on in assessing the Penguins league-leading inconsistency: I think the Penguins are good enough to win the Stanley Cup, but I’m not sure they’re good enough to make the playoffs. At this point, I won’t be surprised if either happens.
The PREDS are solidly in the playoff picture, but they are going to have to up their game if they want to get deep into the playoffs. I know, I know... the Stanley Cup is in the bag!
2639 - 52
Well, if push comes to shove, I'll push & shove this thing to 5,000 posts all by myself. I'm trying to decide whether I should post once/minute, once/hour, once/day.... or once/decade.
While cogitating that, I just missed my next once/minute post. I may have to rethink this.
2640 - Thaddeus Threetone's song, 9035768, is a complete flop.
Sleep deprivation is not as much fun anymore.
So... AU's new 2nd/3rd Saturday in November opponent at home in even years will have to be one of these:
LSU, Arkansas, aTm, Non-Georgia East
Seeing as how every one of those options already has a routine opponent for that weekend, whichever it turns out to be is going to cause everyone's schedules to get shuffled. Can't wait to see how this game of 52 card pickup plays out.
2641 - SEC scheduling glitch now has AU playing 8 conference road games in even years and 8 conference home games in odd years, which makes every year seem odd.
My voice has almost come back. I'm still snotty but no longer on the edge of death.
2642 - Battle of Midway
you may think it's mucus, but it snot
Death can't keep you in the ground!
2643 - Due to the overwhelming advantages of its opponent, Midway resorts to guerrilla warfare in its long-running battle against O'Hare.
Pens won a game but lost two more players to injuries. That's four in the past two games. Tough loss for the PREDS tonight. The Blues are Red hot.
2644 - British engineers finally rebuild the bridge over the River Kwai.
Now's not the time to peak, though, THT. My PREDS know that.
2645 - The River Kwai freezes due to global cooling. People just walk right over the river now.
Rain much of the day. After two days of sunshine I was beginning to worry that we'd never see rain again.
2646 - Ice floe from the Kwai drifts into shipping channels leading to a maritime tragedy when it causes the sinking of the Thaitanic.
lol at the Thaitanic.
had a lot of 40 degree rain this weekend. great weather.
2647 - no more maritime tragedies
Great win for the PREDS last night; they really needed a good win more than they needed the two points, but the latter certainly won't hurt.
2648 - PREDS continue winning
oh joy, 3 days of rain forecast for the weekend. Great weather for procrastinating about moving furniture from here to there.
2649 - Historians laugh at the early 21st century proponents of global warming which never materialized. However, sea levels have still risen 20 feet thanks to 500+ years of 40 degree rainy days.
it's been a cold one this week. my two oldest girls have a track meet this afternoon that i'm not real excited about. Too dang cold for track meets.
2650 - turns out global warming was real, and now it's too hot for track meets. The river kwai dries up, which is good news for some.
70s this weekend. Oh, and rain, of course. I can't wait til Fall.
2651 - The Great Kwai Riverbed Roadrace revitalizes the Burmese* and Thai economies.
*Myanmarese? Myanmarian? Neither looks right.
So much to do, so little time. I need a month of vacation to catch up on stuff. That's what happens when you are on 12th day of 16 consecutive work days. Sigh.
2652 - Alpha quadrant's Interstellar Congress adopts a 3 hour work week.
Bought a dryer for the second time this week. The one I bought a couple of days ago had an issue with the door.
Hopefully I have time to pick it up tonight. The old dryer is broken, and the laundry pile continues to build.
2653 - global warming is so hot that dryers aren't even needed anymore.
we just bought a w&d last week. They won't be delivered for about 3 more weeks.
2654 - global warming so hot that even washers aren't needed anymore
What's wrong with a clothes line? (Checks forecast for Huntsville) Oh, right.
2655 - Global warming so hot that nothing needed anymore because humanity can't survive in present conditions and evacuates to Kepler-186f after wormhole is discovered beyond Jupiter.
24 hr sale going on at the Buy More. Come on buy!
Good news(?) is I get to go to W-S tomorrow on completely inadequate sleep.
2656 - Someone finally figures out how to position a worm hole between CH and W-S, far too late to be of any benefit to THT.
Did you scare away bubbs, THT?
2657 - Global cooling causes CH to wormhole into W-S for THT ABCD
I don't scare nobody.
My PC is about to restart against my will
2658 - p
You know, if bubbs wasn't such a slackard, we'd probably be banging on the door of our 5,000th post by now.
2659 - Chiclet shortage.
THT, I noticed you're at 88 total posts on AUFC and the 88th wasn't a Beasley. Don't even know who you are anymore.
2660 - Hottest year on Midway.
He's been deleting posts, ebro. Every post is his 88th post. He's either a cheater or a hero or both.
2661 - the heroes cheat at Midway.
Yall think Auburn will win tomorrow?
2671 - The world is overtaken by the Macarena craze!
Don't worry about any bullies making you change your name around here, THT. We love you just the way you are.
2672 - tar heels and tigers fight to the death.
Thanks, michael. I'm Tar Heel born and I'm Tar Heel bred, and when I die I'll be Tar Heel dead, so rah rah Auburn Tigers, rah rah Auburn Tigers, rah rah Auburn Tigers, GO BIG BLUE! I would absolutely love for my beloved AU Tigers to win 2 more games this weekend. Meanwhile, I'll be watching hockey. GO PENS! They host your PREDS on Friday night at 7pm ET
2664 - everyone loved tar heels and tigers fight so much that they reversed time. Unfortunately, they went to far and everyone will have to suffer through the Macarena craze again.
e-bro, see BEASLEY!!!
2665 - scientists continue to work frantically under penalty of death to find a way to skip year 2671
Should MJT and I start referring to ourselves at Volunteer Tigers since we're both from Tennessee? Though I'm not Volunteer bred, per say. My Mom is from Oak Ridge, TN, but my Dad is from Fort Payne, AL.
2666 - Be gone, Satan!
if you aren't paid professionals, you must be volunteers.
2667 - and just like that, the evil one vanishes.
I volunteer all my posts on the internet. My comments are worth millions, in my opinion, and I'm just out here doing it for free.
2668 - aerobics are really popular.
My millions of posts are worthless, but I'll keep posting just to eat up bandwidth.
2669 - anaerobes continue to be shunned by society
'Canes have given the Ovechkis 4 points in 48 hrs. Stupid 'Canes
2670 - 'Canes playoff drought reaches 661 years
forecast highs in the upper 60s in Minneapolis next weekend. Sounds like perfect weather for 2 AU wins.
2671 - 999 years after he published his travel journal, people are still laughing at John Lederer's claim of seeing Lake Ushery
I'm gonna call Speedy McNeely Pest Control. This place is infested with crickets.
2672 - John Lederer's great...great grandson discovers a lake of brackish water on Mars... or so he says.
War Eagle! GO PREDS!!!!
2673 - Crickets! Everywhere!!!!
Well, I'd rather have cricket everywhere than that stupid soccer game.
2674 - Phil Gargis's awesome game against UGA remembered with a 700th anniversary commemorative coin, legal tender everywhere except in T'loser.
I miss yesterday's 38 degrees. E'Bro must be right about this global warming.
2675 - Due to shift of the Midway conflict for the past 100 years, Diego Garcians change the battle's name to a small symbol, which translates roughly as The Battle formerly known as The Battle of Midway
I really messed up some of my plants yesterday. I moved them to the green house, but the green house must have gotten way too hot. Kilt a bunch of my peppers. Tomatoes pretty much all survived. But I'm bummed about me peppers. Guess i'll buy some bonnie plants like some kind of amateur.
2676 - the time travelers were only able to delay earth's fate, not change it: the macarena craze hits!
Too hot for peppers? Should have saved that for Irony Day.
2677 - Speaking of vegetables... Excess population and infrastructure squashes the northern hemisphere
well rats. I honestly thought we'd be playing basketball on Monday night. So much for my gut feeling that Danjel would get FF MVP.
2678 - THT's ashes are still grieving the loss in the 2019 Final Four semifinal.
Watching PREDS clinching first place in the Central Division (if they hang on to their lead for another 13 minutes) and it occurs to me that PREDS fans are waaaaaay more into the game than the zombies in the seats of the Pittsburgh arena.
2679 - In anticipation of their first season in the new arena, the PREDS sell all 615,000 season tickets before Irony Day.
It's a great time to be a PREDS fan, that's for sure. We love our team! Stanley Cup, here we come!
2680 - PREDS Attack!
that was an awful long smoke break, MJT.
Got any new plants?
2681 - Eagerly anticipating the millenial celebration of the most important battle fought during the American Revolution (battle site just 24 miles northeast of Midway, NC), the Centennial Countdown to Guilford Court House Committee has their inaugural meeting on March 15.
i bought a bell pepper and a poblano pepper plant so that i won't have to wait forever on those peppers. Did some more seedlings that hopefully I don't ruin, but they won't be yielding fruit until July or so probably. all the jalapenos were on another shelf of the greenhouse down lower where it wasn't so hot, so they weren't affected.
Gonna plant a bunch of things in the garden when I get a chance. Got some tomatoes and squash and zuchini ready to go
Oh, and this weekend we were at a basktball game, and my 7yo daughter was looking at the score and commented "I hate odd numbers," and I thought of you THT.
2682 - mjt turns 700 years old. Doesn't look a day over 632.
Your 7yo daughter is obviously a brilliant child.
2683 - Battle of Midway rages on, despite the prediction by Nostradamus that it would end on mjt's 700th birthday.
'sup Hotties!? Rain here in Tampa should abate by kickoff. Beat Northwestern!
2684 - noodle shortage
Is this one of those timehop posts from the 2010 Outback Bowl?
2685 - Double dribble called on UVA in alternate universe simulation of the 2019 Final Four and as a result, Auburn wins Battle of Midway.
E-Bro sighting! What's next, a bubbs drive by?
2686 - Earthlings learn that the Borg really does exist!
bubbs lost the url to this site.
2687 - The Borg cube is shot down by a spaceship called "Sullivan 2"
26BEASLEY!!!
You set the table perfectly for me, mjt. I bet you could do the same for Viktor Arvidsson.
The PREDS have been studying the game tape and exercising and doing whatever it takes to fix what ailed them in game 1. Gonna win this next one by 20!
2690 - to the viktor goes the table settings
Still trying to figure out who to root for in the East. I don't like the CBJ because they play dirty against the Penguins, but it's hard not to root for them right now. I suppose the Maple Leafs are the team for which I have the least animosity (I'm operating on a safe assumption that Carolina will be joining the Penguins on the links next weekend).
In the west... GO GOLDEN KNIGHTS!!! GO PREDS!!!
2691 - the sun shines brightly, confusing everyone
Or maybe my Avs in the West, THT? Coming on strong.
2692 - Supernova is coming.
My PREDS came through strong last night. Can't believe any of you people doubted them.
2693 - turned out to just be an OKnova.
THT, I'm really sorry about your Penguins.
2694 - ourbreak!
You doing ok, THT?
2695 - Everyone is OK!
Peachy! Just awful busy trying to get 18,320 things done. Did I ever tell y'all I hate Windows computers? Gotta go get a truck; gonna try to move tomorrow after the overnight rain and before the afternoon rain.
2696 - Avs celebrate 700th anniversary of their first Stanley Cup by winning another.
Move went well despite y'all's lack of participation. One minor glitch... MrsTHT wasn't there to supervise, so I forgot a small sofa that had not been moved to the "staging area", i.e. the foyer. So instead of spending the night in W-S and attending Easter Sunrise service in God's Acre in Old Salem, we drove the truck back to CH Sat night and returned to W-S the next day with the sofa and some other odds & ends.
2697 - Avs leverage their recent success to maintain NHL supremacy, causing a paradigm shift in the Battle of Midway. (I always thought "paradigm" was an overused/misused word; another is "leverage".)
Man. I'm just sick about my PREDS.
How come you moved, THT? I never want to move again, personally.
2698 - moving year
I could have sworn in the one bad angle replay they showed last night that some Star was standing just offside when the guy with the puck blew by him. I was awfully tired so I didn't bother rewinding it to get a better look. I kept expecting a challenge or Toronto review and the next thing you know they are all shaking hands. It was probably on side, but I'd sure like to know 100%.
Looks like E-Bro is only one of us whose team survived Round 1.
If I can ever retire, we'll move permanently to W-S. Right now it's just a money pit.
When I move, I let MrsTHT do all the work.
2699 - "Stars fell on Nashville" license plates are still selling strong in TX.
I didn't actually watch the game, but I have no doubt that the refs cheated.
2700 - Y2.7K ruins all the computers
speaking of getting hosed. Refs give SJ a 5 minute major for what was at most a 2 minute interference. Vegas just flat fell apart after that call.
2701 - Refs still cheating our teams
wowza that was a great win by the Hurricanes last night. I suspect their tanks may be empty tomorrow night. The are the only one of the 4 teams I pull for that survived the 1st round.
2702 - Despite $1.5 billion in govt grants over the past 300 years, researchers fail to reach a consensus on whether or not there is a link between obesity and a diet of 100% Pringles.
My HURRICANES are now up 2-0! I am on cloud 9!
2703 - clouds are outlawed
I fear all the injuries will be too big a blow for the HURRICANES to overcome, even if they survive this series.
2704 - President vetoes anti-cloud legislation, and with good reason. A legislative clerk inadvertently typed it as clouds. What Congress intended to outlaw was clowns.
Both my Avs and Nuggets are looking good, baby.
2705 - Lando Calrissian has the anti-cloud clerk assassinated.
Well, my Avs WERE looking good.
2706 - Ghost E-Bro kicks dirt.
long day here, sports fans. Was on the road to Charlotte to pick up a friend at CLT and I didn't get to watch Hurricanes tonight. I hope they can keep winning.
2707 - Battle of Midway spills onto the ice, forcing the postponement of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Well, my Nuggets WERE looking good.
2708 - Ghost E-Bro kicks more dirt.
I'm rooting for the blazers out west, so DOWN WITH THE NUGGETS!
2709 - Nuggets of Wisdom
Hipster.
2710 - Blazing a path.
had to be sociable this evening; it was painful. Upon leaving, I saw a lovely BMW with a NC AU license plate (AU 0938, I think). If I'd seen that before I left, I'd have blurted out a loud WAR EAGLE! to find out who it was. I hope they'll be at the meeting tomorrow.
2711 - NBA enforces traveling; turnovers up and scoring down 30,000%.
Spring vacation is history. Back to work work work until Fall's vacation season. I have a friend in Houston who has worked half days all his professional life, 7a-7p. He is a solo CPA/Atty. For the first 30 some odd years, he would take one full week of vacation every three years so they'd have enough time for a trip to Europe or wherever. The intervening two years he would take two 1-day vacations for long weekends. At age 70, he's getting soft, now taking two 2 day vacations/year. He plans to work until he is 99.
2712 - Retirement outlawed.
E-Bro, your Avs just guaranteed an extra day (or two) off for the Bruins. Boo!
Go 'CANES!
2713 - Molasses outlawed.
Sorry, not sorry.
2714 - Rum distilleries successfully lobby for overturn of molasses outlawing.
Do you know the way to (beat) San Jose? I suppose the Avs will know in a short while.
Ben Bishop was simply marvelous in a losing effort last night.
2715 - buried deep in the fine print of the molasses outlawing overturning legislature is a clause limiting each distillery to one molass per month. They all convert to bottling Cheerwine and business soars.
well, rats. I got home in time for the last 5 minutes to see Martin Jones peppered with a plethora of pucks from the Avs to no avail.
Watched the post-game show and saw the offsides call. NHL (or NBC pulling strings) seems determined to get San Jose through each playoff round.
Go 'CANES!
2716 - Millennial anniversary of that most AUsome of years, 1716.
My CANES need to plug up the holes in our defense. Giving up 5 goals ain't gonna cut it!
2717 - CANES give up six goals. Also the 700th anniversary of 2017.

2719 - weeklong celebration of the long forgotten memories of 2709
michael, I think it's time you start pulling for your BRUINS
2720 - millenial celebration of Georgia's precursor, the Margravate of Azilia's first appearance on a map
I'll wait one more game before becoming a diehard bruins fan
2721 - Die Hard 22 released in theaters
that may be one game too late to resuscitate the CANES playoff hopes
Is it August yet?
2722 - 800th anniversary of michael's PACERS winning the first of two ABA championships
so my math was off, big deal.
2723 - 800th anniversary of michael's Västerås SK winning the first of its innumerable bandy championships
Your Trailblazers are gonna have to do better, MJT.
2724 - The Trailblazers don't do better.
My BRUINS earned a hardfought win last night. GO UINS!
2725 - chaos
If your BRUINS and the Sharks end up in the Final, I'm not sure I'll be watching. Marchand is a jerk and the Sharks don't belong in Round 2, Round 3, or the Final.
2726 - nostalgic celebrations in memory of 2625 and 2524.
You know, Marchand is one of those guys you hate when he's on the other team, but you love when he's on your team. And we love him!
2727 - Everyone thinks it's cool that the year is 2727.
The next time I see Marchand lick an opponent's face, I'll have PF give him a kick in the teeth.
2728-29!
Doesn't get any better than this. My BRUINS are in the Finals!!!
2729 - Final Finals
Alou out there! My BLUES are also in the Finals!! Let's not have a repeat of 1970.
2730 - Global drought results in land bridge joining Sardinia and Corsica. Italy and France go to war over Sardica... or is it Corsinia?
WHY ARE THEY MAKING ME WAIT?! I WANT HOCKEY AND I WANT IT NOW!
Is it AUgust yet?
2731 - Freddie Smith, #31 in your program but first in your hearts (shhhh... don't tell the others), is still Auburn's all-time leading tackler.
I guess we need to end this on an even number of posts.
2732 - celebrated launch of Hv4.0
I can't believe I blew the opportunity to end this with a BEASLEY!!! at 2728. I guess I'll have to make another 80+ posts til we get to 2816.
2733 - HABOTN Historians, scrolling through HABOTN Archives while sitting around a Thursday night Campfiyah, wonder who THT was. Michael XVIII, King of Ur, pipes up, "Oh, he's the guy that utterly choked when it came time for a BEASLEY!!! post."
Is it AUgust yet?
2734 - AUgust is moved up in the calendar. Football practice starts the day after hockey playoffs end.
24 hour sale on Saturday at the Buy More. Come on buy!
2735 - LOCKDOWN! Reality show based on THT's prison life airs on DULL-TV. The series is canceled after the first commercial break.

Let's try that once more...
leech smuggling This time, I'll preview before posting
2737 - extinction of Hirudo verbena
I'm guessing Andy Stone and Lance Stater of the Danebury Metal Detecting Club played a big role in the discovery of this Roman town in SE England.
2738 - Roman ruins are found beneath a goat farm in SE Idaho.
Despite the noise they make, snoring dogs are actually not helping me stay awake until first pitch tonight.
2739 - A goat farm is found beneath Rome.
Almost stepped on a Giant Leopard Moth on the sidewalk the other evening. Cool looking critter.
2740 - Battle of Leopard & Luna moths starts WW CVIII. Some historians consider it simply a continuation of the Battle of Midway.
Am I hearing a high school band? Why on earth would I be hearing that? Definitely hearing trumpets and maybe some other horns from somewhere. And a drum.
2741 - Feng makes a fortune selling his new "Skinny Dog" hotdogs. Guaranteed not to completely occlude the trachea if aspirated. The idea came to Feng in a vision when he was in the ICU.
I hope this isn't poison ivy on my hand. It's too dark for me to see it well enough to say. I'm gonna go Benadryl cream it.

2744 - 1,000th anniversary of the death of Lady Grace Granville, upon which occasion her son, Lord John Carteret, inherited the title 2nd Earl Granville.
My Bruins have taken a commanding 2-1 lead. GO UINS!!!!
2745 - HABOTN Historians are thrown in jail.
The Bruins bullied the Blues in Game 3. If Blues can't reverse that tonight, I won't need or want to watch game 5.
2746 - due to a locksmith's error, the people outside the jail are the ones who are actually imprisoned.
Who you rooting for in the NBA finals, THT?
2747 - Magic beans!
NBA? I don't even know what that is anymore. And I have no clue who is in their Finals. If it's the Lakers with Wilt and Jerry, I'm pulling for the Lakers. If it's the Sixers with Bobby Jones, the Doctor, and Moses or Chocolate Thunder, I'm pulling for the Sixers. Of course, I'd be ok with Wes Unseld and the Bullets if neither of the above are available.
2748 - all food except mud pies is declared carcinogenic
It's the Raptors vs Warriors. I'm a huge Raptors fan at the moment. You should try it.
2749 - Donald Trump IX's tariffs on Mississippi make mud pie prices go through the roof.
Let me know if they ever decide to enforce traveling, palming/carrying or whatever they (don't) call it, etc.
2750 - centuries ago, michael's mom took Labor Day too seriously, giving birth during the Mackinac Bridge Walk. Now, many centuries later, the UP and LP go to war over who can rightly claim michael as their most famous son.
My Blues really came through last night!
2751 - 80% of humanity dies in the War to Claim MJT
Don't you go and jinx them!
2752 - oops, historians realize, a bit too late for 80% of humanity, that it was mjt's next door neighbor who was born on the bridge.
Bruins are undefeated when facing elimination. Bruins are undefeated when Marchand scores. Are you going to flip flop back to the Bruins now?
2753 - a year so noisy that no one could hear the crickets
I have a big decision in front of me. I'll let you know who I've chosen as my new NHL team on Thursday morning. Maybe' I'll have a hat ceremony?
2754 - Hats become super cool
even cooler than the ArcticHat?
2755 - Although Hogan married the California-born Swede, historians reach a consensus that the Latvian was hotter.
I'm still in amazement that the Blues actually read this blog. I mean, how else would they fall prey to your jinxing them? They are going to get blown out so badly tomorrow that I won't even bother to watch.
2756 - Blues still haven't won a Cup.
HA! Those Blues are such suckers. They fell for the oldest trick in the book, the patented THT RPT (reverse psychology strategem). I watched every minute of the game. Happy for the Blues. Happier that neither the Bruins, Flyers, or Caps won the Cup.
2757 - Chara's jaw finally heals
I think I might go to St Louis for the victory parade. This is a once in a lifetime event for us diehard Blues fans.
2758 - Blues win again!
Hey michael, take the Cup to the top of the Arch and yell out, "This is for you Lewis! And you, too, Clark!" Then roll it down the south half of the arch.
2759 - K.C. steals the Blues.
I don't have a clue who won the big golf tournament this weekend. I hope it was Arnold... or Chi Chi... or Lee. Them's my favs.
2760 - due to a sortage, h is dropped from the alpabet. ow about some spagetti?
My wife is a futurist. That's why her named is spelled "Sara" with no "h."
2761 - thousands die after they "ate" things they actually "hate." a committee is formed to discuss the possibility of bringing back h, but but they are tossed over the edge of a ship after demanding hoverboards be thrown at them.
no worries, TT. Ci Ci won yesterday. you would ave loved it.
2762 - eated debate over te possibility of dropping vowels from the alpabet. Weel of Fortune lowers teir price to buy time.
Well look who decided to come crawling back to the cool kids table.
2763 - 650 year old cool kids table is auctioned off for a billion denarii.
FYI - I'm on a scooter.

There's really no way to know, THT.
2767 - JGT knows.
Awesome bowl of Bluebell Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream with Hershey's Chocolate Syrup on top. I had scooped out a huge bowl and then thought, hmmmm, I wonder if we have any Girl Scout Thin Mint cookies in the cabinet here in W-S. SCORE!!!! MrsTHT brought some for me. It took some doing, but I managed to find enough room to squeeze three crumbled up cookies into my mountainous bowl of ice cream. It ate really really good.

Whose house do they make their vanilla ice cream in? I honestly think that their operation is big enough that it would make more sense to move it's production to a factory of some sort.
2769 - summer of '69
Do the two have to be mutually exclusive, MJT? You're thinking too small.
2770 - Sam starts wondering about his son.
So Bluebell lets their workers live in and ice cream factory? What a nice company!
2771 - Bad company reunion tour
Living in a Blue Bell factory would be some kind of awesome.
2772 - the memory of Punt Bama Punt is erased on its 800th anniversary when Auburn blocks ten punts and beats ua-t 80-0.

2776 - somethingcentennial
Speaking of centennials, I like Centennial, WY. Great place to get some ice cream after a hike to Medicine Bow Peak.
This morning on AUFC reminds me of days long past when blogger would crash and we had no news from the outside world.
2777 - Battle of Midway. SERIOUSLY?!
Yeah, but is Centennial blessed with lots of picket fences that need painting?
2778 - DinosaurTV is rebooted.
Hey THT did you see that video of the person opening up blue bell cartons in the store, licking the ice cream, and then putting the carton back? How does that make you feel?
2779 - Lemon Law 2279 debuts
bubbs, painting is for sissies. Sissies aren't allowed in Wyoming, and neither are painted fences.
Michael, I hope that video didn't show my face.
2780 - Toomer's Drugstore closes after Lemon Law prohibited sale of lemonade. Now look what you've done, michael.
sorry I misspelled your name, michael. Actually, I didn't. Where on earth did this autoincorrect come from in blogger? Stupid ie on prison computer. I fixed that. I'll probably get arrested.
2781 - revised Lemon Law debuts. Toomers Drugstore reopens. The world is back on its axis.
In July 2018, bubbs predicted AU would finish 7-5. He was spot on. Shortly thereafter, I predicted the 2149 post would reflect the Iron Bowl score. ua-t got a measly field goal to make it 21-52.
so, bubbs, should I waste any of my time driving 1000 miles on weekends this Fall? As far as this year's Iron Bowl, I got absolutely nothing so far.
2782 - 2020 ban of culturally insensitive hula hoops is revoked.
Hope you have a good laywer, THT:

2783 - roasted almonds
You know, I've read and thought so little about the 2019 football team, I have no predictions. At least not yet.
That said, a Cincy tailgate might be worth the 1000 miles. Tell her this year, it will require Blue Bell to get you there. Errbody wins.
2784 - People feel bad about all the almond roasting, and start saying nice things to them.
Happy Irony Day Eve! I hope y'all are singing along with all the not-yet-incarcerated Eurasians... if there are any.
2785 - pickled planaria a hit on party trays

2789 - Feng brings hot dog ties into fashion.
michael, I sure hope that translates to 27BEASLEY!!!
p.s. that was worth a missed 27BEASLEY!!! and a missed Hellooooo Kennesaw. Y'all crack me up.
2790 - chili and slaw ride the hot dog coattails.
Think you're letting these guys off the hook, THT, for how they've slandered against you and ScottieB.
2791 - Warmest year on record, but great for hot dogs.
You're absolutely right, E-Bro. I need to be more stern. I failed parenting at home and I've failed it again on HABOTN. Maybe I can just audit it next time.
2792 - No longer an anniversary of Columbus's voyage since he is no longer in any history book. It is now the 1300th anniversary of Native Americans revoking all immigration laws and establishing open borders throughout the western hemisphere. I'm sure that went well.
Well now my feeling are hurt. You guys think I failed so bad at posting that people who chose not to ridicule me are failures themselves. Sad!
2793 - Auburn wins!
well, I promise we won't fail at one thing, and that's at least one more page flip here. Even if it takes the rest of this decade.
We're having a roving 24 hr sale today, starting at the Buy More's prison commissary and then moving to Buy More Central from 5 pm on. Come on buy!
2794 - 775 year old set of 5 now headless Aubie bobble head dolls is discovered in a landfill eroded by rain from Hurricane Zuzu.
Don't be ridiculous THT. There 's no way another page flip will ever happen here!
2795 - pages are outlawed
I'm reminded of the middle of the page "BOOM" from bubbs some time back. I think he'll live long enough to make amends.
2796 - due to poor wording of the 2795 law, descendants of Alan Page, Jimmy Page, Patti Page, and other Pages are tracked down and incarcerated.
michael, are you saying there will be a catastrophic failure of the world's wide web before the end of the week? Is this a conspiracy to stop PDT from tweeting?
2797 - Kevin, Devin, and Blevin are run out of heaven
something just doesn't make sense with that recently found woman in California who went missing in the wilderness for three days when her husband went prolly no more than 100 yards away to turn the car around. It's a bit fishy, if you ask me.
MrsTHT had an interesting hypothesis, "maybe her husband bought a 200 year old run down house that drained their bank account and she just decided it was time to leave."
2798 - it's a good thing I won't have any surviving heirs in 2798; they'd still be paying for that house.
Is this the house with the picket fence?
2799 - Nothing happened.
yep
2800 - pre-BOOM
you know i used to turn pages all the time without saying that magic word. think i'll do it again.
This page smells more like a 200 year old house than a new page.
We'll do with it what we can, but it's been here a while.
THT, you've gotten yourself into an "adventure." I owned a 100 year old house and it was interesting. There were some really cool things about it, but also a lot of things you had to be okay with. Even when you decided to fix or redo a part of it... there's always a something behind the something that you couldn't foresee. Good luck, and give Mrs. THT my condolences!
2802 - Plumbs become the new cash crop.
you are absolutely right about the "something behind the something that you couldn't foresee". For example, I didn't foresee that I'd never get to retire now. The latest discovery is a yellow jacket nest in the ground in the back yard.
2803 - A "plumb diet" weight loss fad inadvertently leads to an epidemic of lead poisoning.
