You'd think by the time someone gets to college, they'd know that you don't throw short of first down in the middle of the field with no time outs and only 12 seconds on clock when snapped.... Or waste 20+ seconds getting lined up about 2 plays earlier. That's what poor ol' Herman Edwards has to work with.

Poor ol' App State lost QB on first series, lost Middle LB in 1st Qtr, and had two 2nd qtr turnovers that led to 14 points for which GA Southern's offense ate up a combined total of 15 seconds of game clock. One TO was on punt fair catch where defender, who barely missed the returner, waved his arm in returner's face (perhaps inadvertently) as he blew by an instant before ball arrived. I'm thinking that should have been a penalty for catch interference.
