News of the day, 11/30
Hey everyone. Today has been a breeze after what was a nutty Thursday night. Tuberville returned from his hunting trip as planned. It appears that the stunning report out of Arkansas last night wasn't credible.
Thanks for visiting the HOTTEST Auburn blog on the 'net.
Auburn called coach Tommy Tuberville this afternoon and relayed the terms of a revised contract. A copy of the proposal was placed on Tuberville's desk after lunch. Auburn is looking to extend the deal back to the initial seven-year term and is including a modest raise. It's unclear how Auburn plans to assuage Tuberville's concerns about facilities. Athletic director Jay Jacobs and Tuberville will meet again early next week.

So Arkansas has given Tuberville 24 hours to respond to their deal...according to Sexton. Not sure what in that message says the story on Arkansas news is a fake.
I never said "fake."
I said "not credible," in that Tuberville was not on the verge of agreeing to terms with Arkansas. Them's the facts.
So your saying there was contact between Arkansas and a representative of Thomas Hawley Tuberville? If no one informed Jay Jacobs, we should can him now as Sexton has already started whoring Tubs name out for the LSU job that's not even open yet. This will be a never ending cycle as long as he is allowed to roam our sidelines.
Who wins the LSU job? Tubs or Saban? I think Saban is a done deal. It's his only chance of escape. He didn't expect to be in this position so soon. Should Auburn be stuck with Tubs now, a guy who doesn't covet his job?
I cant say for sure that Tuberville/Sexton Inc. hasn't discussed the Arkansas job in some way. There is so much plausible deniability there. Wouldn't touch it.
This charade has been remarkably drawn out. I side currently with the people who believe Tuberville will be at Auburn in 2008, though Auburn is NOT a co-conspirator in this charade.
I'm not convinced that Tuberville dislikes his job Auburn. He's a capitalist.
Lose 4 games and you get a raise at Auburn..? shame shame.
