Radio Appearance Forthcoming
Looks like I'm back in Mob Town today.I'm due to appear with Bo Megginson on the "Auburn Undercover" program this afternoon at 5:15. I'm not sure which radio station that is. Sadly, Phillip Marshall will not be on the broadcast due to travel arrangements. Bummer.
They allegedly stream the show.
UPDATE: The stream works for me.

I ran off Neal McCready once, He was trying to steal watermelons out of my watermelon patch. Darn kids. I'm telling your mom, Neal! I know it's you!
that sign....I drove under it daily for many years. Beautiful Prichard stadium upcoming on the left -- then some "urban governmental housing"..Chickasaw (and the first home I owned) just behind.
Also...Scottie B's Vikings are about 15 miles away!

I've listened to this before. It's usually funny because Bo & Phillip don't agree on a lot of things, and it adds for some awkward moments at times.

As much as I used to yell at Daniel Cobb, I'd take him over the way Todd and Burns have played this year.
At least Cobb wasn't afraid to try to make a play downfield and he had a strong arm.

Stat of the Day:
Auburn hasn't won a Regular-Season Out-of-Conference Away Game since 1997. 11 years.
and Scottie B and Hornet were in Charlottesville with the KOA nazi and our sleeping bags for the entire weekend!
I guess that would be the Virgina game to start the 1997 season.
That's an awful stat, but best I can remember that's just 01 vs Syracuse, 02 vs USC, 05 vs GaTech. So 0-3.
Which is also bad that we've just played 3 games away from home vs non-conference opponents in 11 years.
Sorry 03 vs Ga Tech, not 05.

NSP is absolutely horrible. I never turn off the satellite radio down here.
Has anyone discussed the groups trying to get Lou Holtz fired for his comments on Saturday? I don't like Holtz at all but this is crazy.
But it's only 4 road non-conference games ago.
Which is sad in it's own right.
the worse thing than 0-3 is that 2 out f 3 are nightmares...Campbell against Freeny in the dome and quarters 5 thru 8 without at TD at Ga Tech.
We had a shot at USC with Caddy in for the full game (i thought)

The Syracuse game was a no-win situation. Starting a freshman QB in the first sporting event in New York state following 9/11. That place was insane. Campbell ran for that long TD run and I thought we'd be fine...then Freeney hit him over and over and over...
We would have won at USC in 2002 had Carnell had a pre-game meal.
GaTech in 03 was just plain awful.
Right. For the record, that's 0-3 under Tubs. It seems that Tubs prepares well for bowl games, but not so much for OOC Away games.
Maybe it was just a young team in 2002 against USC, or maybe just that we had a first-time OC... but we just didn't seem to have the ability to close in that game.

On 680TheFan here in Atlanta last week a caller wondered if Daniel Cobb still had eligibility left? He would take him over what we have now.
Cobb happened to be driving through Atlanta and heard the comment and called in. Pretty neat conversation. He generally concurred with the assessment of the QB play. But also pointed out that installing a new system isn't as simple as it looked against Clem & Son last year.
He also says he hopes he keeps his only claim to fame for many more years being the last Auburn QB to loose to UAT.
Better question for you all. When was the last Out of Conference Road game in the middle of a season.
And if not for me you never would have gotten Rudi Johnson!

We opened with Virginia in '97.

Nebraska was in there early 80's I think.
I don't know beyond those.
Texas in the mid 80s, maybe?
More than likely it was an FSU game in the early 90's.

Does anyone remember which non-conference game it was when Tubs said afterwards- "the preseason is over and the real games start now" before the next conference game? That comment ranks right up with him saying after Black Saturday that D Francionne(sp?) would have to answer for why he had been playing Watts over Zow after Zow had lit AU up. I almost ran off the road after hearing the Zow comment after I had crawled out of Jordan-Hare midway thru the 4th quarter. To be so "media-savvy" he has really had some strange comments over the years.

Man, the KOA Nazi....good times. If any of you fellas want a near-death experience you need to try to shower at the KOA Campground in Charlottesville, VA without paying. It was the only time in my life I thought a 60+ year old woman was going to whoop my ass. Lucky for me the Hornet intervened. That was a freakin' AUsome road trip.
I'd guess after the GaTech game in 03 that comment might have been made since we started the year with 2 non-conference games.
Who cares about the preason or midseason for that matter. Just give me the regular Season!!!!!
watching College football livbe and T. Pryor from Ohio St reminds me of J. Campbell.

I was all good.... I liked listening to Bo adn Mark Hyme also got to listen to Jessie McCovery....as i know him very well... i will have to give him grief for not asking you the tought questions!!!!
Me and Heim go way back.
He's one of my favorite people of all time. Mark's always in a great mood.
Jay..hate I missed the show. Mark has been a patient of mine in the past. He is a great guy. Glad to hear him on the air. Yea, you're right..NSP probably won't call. That's probably best based on the last call you made (you know I thought it was awesome the way you stood up for a colleague and friend)..have fun in WVA.
