UGA @ AU pregame

Hey everyone. Welcome to another Auburn football Saturday on the Plains.

I expected rain. What I'm seeing is partly cloudy skies, temperatures in the high 50s and lots of wind. That means Kodi Burns' wobbly passes are going to hang more than usual when he's throwing from L to R on your television screen.

Traffic sure wasn't bad. I'd say it was only a little worse than UT-Martin, which is a big surprise to me. Then again, toe is meeting leather at 11:30 a.m. That's a factor.

LINEUP CHANGES:
  • Mario Fannin starts at TB

  • Chris Evans starts at WLB. His platoon partner, Merrill Johnson, is injured but likely will play today.

Thanks for stopping by.

War Eagle! Let's see what our guys are made of today. For us to win it will have be about the player's determination in soite of the coaching situation... I'm rooting for the guys on that field today wearing the blue and orange, even if I don't feel so greta about the guys in khakis on the sidelines! Swing from the ground Tigers!!!

I had hoped for a rain storm. I think lots of rain becomes the equalizer in a lot of games and would favor us.

Kodi Burns cannot throw in this wind. It's really blowing. Lemme get a pic of this.

Anybody know the name of the song that they are playing at the stadium? It's like a chant, and everybody jumps up and down? Played it when I was there for the LSU game, and really gets u fired up...

Sad that this is the least anticipated Auburn/Georgia game in a long time.

Can't believe that Herbstriet picked us to win today.

Does the wind favor us or them? I have to believe it favors them because Stafford has a good arm and a lot of experience.

Clawson just threw an INT. Atta boy.

Herbie got hit in the head by a trombone slide when the Marching 100 of FAMU was on GameDay.

That's the only logical explanation I can offer for his pick.

Clawson throwing an INT is about like an Auburn OL moving early.

Stafford throws long, the wind will affect long passes. His short passes may sail high. Psychologically speaking, it may affect him more.

Al has kept himself in shape. He could kick.

Don't ask him; he'll try.

I scanned the comments on the previous "thread" and one name not mentioned at RB, one that I'm sure you will all tell me why I am so wrong for suggesting him to get more carries, Tristan Davis. He's big and quick and fast in the open field ,IMO, Tate and Fannin combined. Is he fumble proned, can't learn plays? He returned a KO for a TD but not one carry from scrimmage? Please tell me what I'm missing.

Dreamed last night we got up 17-0, then I woke up ... don't know what happened the rest of the day.

But, hey, I'll take a 17-0 lead.

I would love to see us come out in an option attack with Tate at Fullback and Fannin at tailback. It would be something different.

Fannin starting says to me ...

TT: "Mario's starting."

Eddie Gran: "But ..."

TT: "Don't butt me. Our butts are on the line."

Eddie: "But ..."

TT: "You're butt can work at Wal-Mart next week, but Mario's starting. Aight."

Eddie: "Tommy ..."

TT: "Tony's not doing anything today. Wanna hang out with him?"

Eddie: "Mario's the Man!"
