Aaron Moore is out
Our friends at AuburnSports.com are reporting that offensive lineman Aaron Moore of Plano, Texas, has decommitted.
Moore talked with Auburn assistant Curtis Luper on Monday and the theme of that conversation prompted Moore to ditch the Tigers. ``I just don't feel comfortable with some of the decisions and decided to withdraw my commitment," he told AuburnSports.com.
a.) Auburn's new staff hasn't shown much interest in Moore, so this doesn't come as a surprise.
b.) Moore always will be remembered (in my mind) as the kid Hugh Nall was visiting when Tuberville "resigned."

Doh!
I am surprised that Moore didn't de-commit on the day that Tuberville, Nall, et al left the building. That could not have been helpful.
Hey Jay, when you said Moseley's arm is not that strong, can you put that on a 1-10 scale for me?
10 being Jamarcus Russell
5 being Brandon Cox
2 being my 2 yr old daughter's non-throwing arm
1 Chris Todd
7.
7 is not bad
I was thinking the same thing. 7 does not bother me.
Will,
I think CT is a little better than a 1 maybe 1.5!!!
I wanted to say thanks to all of you who tuned in and downloaded The Gridiron Breakdown over the past several months.
It has been a great ride, but I have decided to move on to other opportunities.
As I understand, the show will keep going through the Super Bowl and then return in the fall for the 2009 season.
Thanks again and take care.
Michael, can't you show the "8" key a little love?
So, will a 3 hour visit with Bryce Brown be enough?
This just in on my Crackberry. ESPN.com has conjured up a way to rank all FBS schools all time. We ended up 21st. The ranking mentioned that we've only played in one significant bowl in the past 20 years and that we lost points for being on probation along the way. Also mentions that we have a higher ranking during the BCS era than the Bammer....
Numbers 21 - 119 were released yesterday and 1-20 coming later.
WDE
Oops...thought the article said "all time ranking" but evidently its since the 1936 season.
you think Chris Todd saw Moseley throw a deep out route on tape and just packed up and left Auburn
AU 13th in all-time wins
Big Mike- that would leave it our Donahue years which were the AUsome

Does some of the things he is not comfortable with (Moore) mean a change in philosphy, such as more power run set. Does CGC and CGM want more beef and less agility?
I think so Cowboy, and I like it.
N20RU visits yesterday and today:
Perkins
Randle
Blake
Brown
Eguae
?
I wonder if we'll and any of those students. Malzahn and Lolley were on the plane. I wonder if Luper and/or Trooper are there.
if we'll *get
Auburn has a very good shot at Eguae and a decent shot at Blake.
The others are long shots in my opinion.
I think I heard that Malzahn and Troop were visiting Blake. So, I assume Troop was on the plane as well.
I'm anxious to see if anything comes from the meeting with Brown.
I'd love to see AU land both Eguae and Blake.
I'm greedy. I hope we get Blake, Eguae, and at least one of the others. X X (fingers crossed)
by one of the others, I was primarily referring to "I'll eat a shoe" longshot Brown or Randle. We already had Perkins. I won't get that excited if we get him again.
I'd rather see you gnaw on your foot. Eating shoes is so 2008.
Jay, I'm >50, not 2. I can remove a shoe and get it to my mouth. I might could gnaw on your foot, but absent dismembering myself or disarticulating all the joints of my body, the laws of old fartness will not allow me to gnaw on my own foot.
I could gnaw on my hands or forearms, though I'd prefer the unreachable toes. Sort of like the fox and grapes, I guess.
Anybody else getting hungry?
I am disappointed we lost this guy. This class is starting to look small. At one point I thought I would be huge.
Offering to suck on JGT's toes is a whole other level of sucking up that I didn't think the HABOTN had reached, and it will get you nowhere THT!
Zteve, was that Freudian/factual?
The plane is almost an hour out of Wichita (and closing in on Dallas). I can't believe it's been that long and we still haven't heard how the visit with Bryce Brown went.
I'm getting a little concerned about y'all.
All this means is Coach Luper told Moore that AU was going in a different direction.
At least it gives the kid a little time to explore other options.
Awfully short stay planned for Dallas. I wonder if they are dropping coach(es) off for the night to visit Nosa.
Plane heading on to N'awlins later this afternoon. I forget, are we recruiting anyone from N'awlins?
Jay,
Did I hear something the other day about you getting your own radio show?
When you become famous, are you still going to associate with us hotties?

hot sauce and rockports are delicious
Hmmmmm...
Sounds like AU is giving the young man a graceful way out.
OT...I'm a little on edge today. This weather is driving me crazy. I couldn't even enjoy going out for lunch.
Rivals spoke to Emory Blake re: visit from CGM and CTT yesterday.
I am having a very difficult time holding my head up today. I keep nodding off and have now twice landed in the middle of my keyboard. I need sleep in a bad way. Or lots and lots of caffeine.
It seems like Moore is fairly similar to the guy from FL we are bringing in this weekend. Maybe the coaches liked him a little better for whatever reason.
It seems clear that Farms trumps them both. If we can pick up Johnnie Farms and this guy from FL in exchange for Moore, I'll take it.
This departure portends the imminent replacement of less heralded players (signed by the old staff) with new outrageously fast and strong beasts that will constitute the offensive and defensive lines of Auburn future.
Please keep the Kool-Aid comin' ... by the truckload.
Reverend, your avatars are hilarious.
Welcome, Minister.
I love the word "portends".
Thanks guys. You're making this rookie feel right at home. I'm not missing the hatefulness of the other blogs. Must be the absence of the toothless infidel faithful.
Was that hateful and wrong? I need some guidance here.
I'm not going to even portend to know what that word means.
Minister, we have one or two "Other Schoolers" here, most notably FSJ. They are, however, incredibly nice folks.
Welcome to HABOTN, your new best friends.
Not hateful or wrong, Minister. All of the infidel faithful over here have teeth... I think.
All in all, it's a very respectful neighborhood, which make it a much nicer place to play in my opinion. We get some thoughtful discussion, even when we disagree.
Minister, some suggestions, just keep it family friendly...anti-Tide posting is okay, in fact encouraged.
Be nice to Monica, or you'll face a liquid diet. We do have a few UAT faithful who stop in, but they are good people.
Also Jay G. Tate likes to be called by his full name at all times.
between minister and denny crum's fancy english wordin'. I'm starting to feel dumb. Good thing I'm not
Not the good kind of liquid diet like at football games. The kind where you eat a pork chop through a straw.
liquid diet due to jaw being wired shut and inability to chew
Sure, she likes Preacher's portend but not my penchant. Come to think of it, I like portend a lot better myself.
Fake Steve didn't tell us about this, or he did and I wasn't paying attention:
Alabama: Carolina Panthers assistant Sal Sunseri has joined Nick Saban’s staff at Alabama. Sunseri will coach the inside linebackers.
(from FootballScoop)
I know, we don't care over here.
I wish I was as scary as y'all make me out to be.
"Jay G" will do just fine ...
I just got on the Nell Fortner teleconference. Even with the team undefeated and ranked in the top 10, I'm still a lone wolf on those calls.
How good do they have to get?
Looks like Gulley has dropped the axe on Troy. He is not looking around anymore. That boy became a Tiger today. I like a 2 sport athlete. He should be a good pick up character and ability alike.
you're like the Mike Tyson of the blog.
gimme that ear
Tarheel there is a great big world out there. Translate: You must be spending too much time in here.
Jay G., they will get better when women can dunk and jump real high.
I like Gulley a lot based on the little info I have. Glad he'll be a Tiger. Gotta love those LA kids, right Mon?
Jay, what's your over/ under for attendance at the ladies' game this Sunday. I figure if folks don't come to this one, then they will never support women's b-ball.
You plan on being there?
Jay G Tate,
I would suspect interest will pick up after Feb 5th....I think she has done a great job. A little bit of a slow start but picked up steam. Do you think this puts added pressure on Lebo?
JayGT- Let's see how they do against the UTs, UConns, and UNCs in the world of women's bball. I would love to see AU Women kick some serious butt.
"I'm still a lone wolf on those calls."
Not the least bit shocking and more than a tad irritating.
Ballin-
I'm stuck here at work with no work to do. I could do like Miller and zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
You must have a gov't job.
it's the snow. Customers staying home but I get to stay here.
Jay G,
Please let Nell know that the hotties support her and the ladies team! We know they are good and we (I am at least) very glad that you are giving them coverage. They deserve it.
I, along with sister will be at the game Sunday afternoon. The wife may come too, if she's not still sportin the black eye.
That reminds me... I need to get some tickets.
ballin - Why you hatin on Tar? That's my job.
Mon-you remind me of Mrs THT, so kind and sweet, but tough as nails cause she's from Pineville. Brewton must be a lot like Pineville.
I have been out to watch Senior Bowl Practice this week and I can not blame Sen' Marks for coming out early. It appears to be a down year overall.
I have talked about the SEC being down this year overall and it even shows in the number of players here at the SB.
Jay GT- will you have Coach Fortner post on HABOTN or should I look at the Advertiser tomorrow?
She's doing a fabulous job, and to opinionate on a previous post, I think it does put a little bit more pressure on Coach Lebo.
I'm going outside to see the world. I'll check back later.
Let's see if I missed anything.
I guess:
1. Tar Heel is contemplating tonight's bowl of vanilla and chocolate syrup, even though the forecast is for 14 degrees.
2. Harrison is at Snark Level Orange.
3. Monica is disavowing any level of aggressive hate, which means someone is about to get a javelin in the Adam's apple.
4. Michael is waiting on his orders from the leadership tribunal from the planet Xckgsdriwedebar.
Invite Nell to a campfire and we will show her some love.
I am no longer waiting, Jet. I have my orders. But Earth is not gonna like them very much, I'll say that.
lower, Jet, much lower...
