Another Tuberville assistant finds work

Hey everyone. Just days after former de facto offensive coordinator Steve Ensminger landed on his feet at Smiths Station High, another Tuberville assistant has found work.
Eddie Gran, Tuberville's consigliere at Auburn from 1999-2008, has been hired as running backs coach at Tennessee. The guy has skills. He'll be a good head coach within the next five years.

Thanks for the confirmation Jay. I heard rumors about this earlier today from less credible sources.
Have to wish Gran luck and nothing but the best in the future. Heck of a guy who did a great job here.
That is great news for UT. They have the talent at the RB spot. Gran should be able to make a drastic improvement in a short time.
Still chuckle about Ensminger's "landing on his feet." Glad that joker's gone.
He ran an SEC offense last season ...
The man deserves respect.

I still can't believe we hired a high school driver's ed teacher, kept him in the SEC for 6 years and then turned him back into a high school driver's ed teacher. Only at Auburn.
Gran is a good guy, and probably a pretty good coach. Just think he has trouble with recognizing who should get the ball on the team. Still can't believe we let Ronnie Brown ride the pine in the USC game when the Caddy got cramps. Guess he didn't know blocking assignements
Griff, gotta call you out on that one. What Ensminger did deserves more respect. Running an offense into the ground was accomplished by "The Tony Franklin Experience." Ensminger was given the thankless task of trying to pick up the pieces without having anytime to reorganize. Your comments demonstrate a total lack of understanding of coaching and the preparation required to compete in the SEC. Much more is required than just coming in and trying to run something from scratch.
I refer you to Theodore Roosevelt's Man in the Arena.
Quite a lot of Ensminger defense going on today. Never knew the had such strong support in some circles.
Denny...in case you haven't noticed...Griff is only interested in complaining and throwing insults.....it completes him.
Probably attained his sports accumen from ESPN.
