Im up!...going to hit the links up with the ole man
I don't think I'm going to make the scrimmage today. I am feeling the opposite of well.
I haven't taken a legit sick day (ie missing an assignment) since 1999 or 2000. Today may be the day.
I'll keep you updated.
Jhag ...
Not to get too sentimental ... but there are several of us out there who wish we could have one more round of golf, or three more sets of tennis, with our dads.
Cherish these times.
JGT - You worry about yourself prior to Easter.
Happy Easter and Passover to everyone.
Sam says JGT needs to go see a holistic healer. Get better Captain. Don't let the pirates keep you down.
Georgia spring football game is on ESPN. I must admit I got chill bumps when I heard the ESPN college football music even though I could care less about Georgia.
UGay sprang game in ESPN now -- let's see their suck.
Mike McNeil was hurt badly at the scimmage.
Anyone hear this news?
I bowled next to Phelon Jones at the Florida Bowl last night in Mobile. He was wearing LSU garb. He has a wicked granny roll.
Bryan Mathews reported that their was a leg injury. He wasnt sure exactly what it was. More to come...
I read that it was a broken leg.
If it is a broken leg...that is normally a much quicker recovery than a ligment tear.
Unless it is Prothro-broken, of course.
Hope the young man is ok and can be back out there soon.
Man, Jay out sick. I nominate Sensi to step in.
Michael..you're right..thus the word "normally" in my post.
The UGA backup Qb looks much better than Joe Cox in the spring game.
UGA STILL has WRs dropping the passes. Unlike AU, their WRs can get open, but drop even more often. EXTEND-HANDS-AWAY-FROM-THE-BODY.
Mike McNeil would be a big loss, but at least we have depth at safeties these days.
Hey folks just stopping by to catch up on AU news. I noticed the post about McNeill, any more info out there yet?
JG, you hear anything?
So did Lache Seastrunk and the other WR show up?
Take care of yourself, Jay G.!!
I'm assuming Jay didn't make the scrimmage. Goldberg had on his blog at AL.com that Malzahn wanted to cut the QB competition down to a two-man race from the three-man rotation. It will be very interesting to see who the odd man out is going to be. I think Jay was right on Todd, hard to see him being a factor after missing all of spring drills.
All, I did attend the scrimmage today and it was a pretty nasty looking injury to McNeil. He was in lots of pain! I felt pretty bad for the young man!
As for the QB race, Kodi looked nice on the very first drive, but from that point in my opinion he struggled. He had a few fumbles and bobbled snaps.
Mccleabb would had to have been the MVP of the day on offense with 2 extrememly long runs. Justin Albert also had a blue collar worker day today with some hard nosed running.
Eltoro was a "BEAST" today! He made quite a few tackles with one kknocking his own helmet off...he grab his helmet and ran off the field and hyped up the little crowd that was in the stands....This guy is going to be special.
Well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it!!!
Jhag...Yes, Lache Seastrunk and the WR did show up. They both seemed to have a pretty good time and also seemed to have hit it off pretty well themselves. They spent most of the scrimmage laughing and cutting up with each other and playing catch on the sidelines.
AUant, thanks for the update on the scrimmage. Any thoughts on the O-Line play today?
Nothing really stood out to me about the O-Line, which in most cases, is a good thing. I do remember however that Coleman seemed have a big day against Lee Zimba (excuse all my spelling errors in this and previous posts).
feel better JG.
Andy Bitter from War Eagle Extra printed a great quote from Coleman:
"I pride myself on stopping the run, but any time you drop back your quarterback, you must want me to hit him, because I'm going to get back there," he said.
Chicken noodle soup JG! There's nothing like going ol school.
I put up a new thread, but it's not going to provide you much satisfaction.
Sorry about that.
