For those of us that have not been paying attention:

Monica ...

As to Prattvegas' rednecktitude, it has billboards touting itself as "Prattville: The Preferred Community."

It's actually a typo ... the billboards were supposed to say "Prattville: The Prefer Red Community."

I could see a few wideouts disappearing before next season begins.

One guy piquing my curiousity is Montez Billings. He's not practicing. He's out there, but he's not going through drills. He's not in pads. I can't get anyone to say he's injured. I have no idea what to think.

His status is completely unknown.

10:27 PM
Blogger AUBigCat said...

WTC you can buy your A-day tix online at the same site you where you pay your TUF money. You dont need to get them early unless you just want to. They should be the same price at the gate.

W/o getting into rednecks, mullets, etc. like on AL.com, why do you suppose UAT draws such a big crowd for their spring game? Way more than anyone else in the country. is just because of the coach? Just what is it?
I like my team but it doesn't define me like it seems to do for so many on the other side. i am sure it defines some on our side but I don't think nearly as much over there. any thoughts?

In case some of you aren't aware, there are now NCAA rules that penalize schools for not graduating players. It will cost scholarships. Running off players is a bad idea. Besides, I like our talent level.

Coach Chizik, my wish is for us to make it through a season without one of our coaches explaining how big of an idiot he is.

10:49 PM
Blogger AUBigCat said...

Jay I have that same feeling about Gabe. It just seems so strange though.

Steve i agree with that assessment of bama's a-day game. I use to wonder how there were so many bama fans period but I do understand Alabama folk needing some national respect especially in the 60's and 70's

11:07 PM

I can't say I live vicariously through OUR team, or that my self-worth is tied to our success.

I can say these three things:

1. I love Auburn.
2. I hate UAT.
3. And I want to beat the snot out of 'em evah time we play 'em in whatevah sport we're playin' 'em in.

Bought them for about 10 years and dropped out for about 5 and started back three years ago.

It got to be too much time on Sat. i dropped out after we beat UAT on the J holmes field goal. I got to AU @ 9:00am that day and got home about 3:00am on Sunday morning and I live in Montgomery.

Sometimes, I feel I can get so much accomplished by not going to the games.

11:21 PM
Blogger wtc said...

Two years ago, I was ready for the season to be over by the UAT game at JHS. This year may be the same only because there are 8 games.

BigCat - yes, you can. 5 weeks should be plenty of time to get ready for it. The goal is to finish, not win it right? I believe WTC will concur.

digger, I LOL'ed at your comment. I just didn't know at whom it was directed. I thought, "Who the heck is UV?"

I wouldn't get overly concerned with Billings. When you have a new coaching staff, some people will move on and it is possible it will be him. I expect a lot of our receivers to step up this season. Once we get a few games under or belt, you will be asking where these receivers were last year.

Well, the iPod touch has a sweet application that was free and lets you watch live coverage. So while I'm taking notes I can watch golf. It's next-generation stuff, really.

That's cool. I pretty much react against anything crammed down my throat. Tiger, Yankees, Cowboys, etc.

I use similar technology that allows me to work while chatting on HABOTN, or did I get that backwords?

By the way Luv, I have to say the word "laughterbation" makes me giggle.

Welcome aboard Warbone.
You will help bring the age average back down.
I joined a few weeks ago and the average took a big hit on the high side

ehyou, I will agree with on the Yankees and the Cowboys, though!

Dang it people. No discussing age. What does it have to do with the cost of chicken anyways?

mrtommyd, once again, the credit must go to Monica and her dirty sister. Although, I do love to use it!

WTC - Responding to your comment last night - When I come down we're definitely going to have to plan a Hamburger King Gang outing. Book it.

Age is relative.
In a group of 50 year olds I feel like a father figure

In a group of 20-30 year olds I feel like a grandfather

In a group of 70 year olds I feel like a young wippersnaper.

What makes me really hot is when they show Tiger's score on the leader-board when he's way back in the field, just so you know what he's shooting. Why do they think I care?

Hamburgers are good things. They should become a new tradition. Every time Saban comes to JHS we should throw hamburgers at him.

I thought the first time I saw "laughterbation" was from the Crosby Clan.

Don't the Chilli Peppers have a song about mental laughterbation?

9:42 AM
Blogger mytommyd said...

Yeah I figured that was an Omnica word, and luckily things are slowing down as it approacheds the noon time Good Friday flight from the office for most of the people here. I may actually be able to keep up now.

AU have you seen the Billy Bob youtube?

9:44 AM

Yea, an after about three trips to JHS and having hamburgers thrown at him, he will have to prepare for it, which will distract from game planning.

Here's instructions on introducing a new word into the dictionary. "Laughterbation" definitely deserves consideration.

Is Billy Bob trying to get his Joaquin Pheonix impression going? I hope this doesn't become the new hollywood thing, because its somewhat annoying.

Amen brother, we don't. There are too many good golfers that I like to watch to be that worried about one dude.

ehyou,

Tiger could be +10 in the clubhouse on Sunday with the leaders playing at -1 and the announcers will still discuss how Tiger's presence could getting in their head if they make one slice.

Mon - I first read it, then I heard it, then I saw it. And I still don't know what to think, outside of him being a freak. But either way, it is pure genius because people are still talking about it.
