Auburn hits the All-SEC team
Hey everyone.
Auburn had three players named to the Preseason All-SEC Team.
DE Antonio Coleman is a first-team guy.
OL Lee Ziemba is a second-team guy. I'm a little surprised by that one.
P Clinton Durst is a second-team guy. Not surprised.

False start
in honor of Ziemba
#3 Al Del Greco.
RK- bad bad memories.
so, this ALL-SEC team is different than the one released a few weeks ago how? media vs. the coaches?
don't blame Ziemba. he was too light. he needed those 20-30 lbs back to hold him in place. i blame the Meerkat Incident.
One is media one is coaches.
Good morning and TGIF, Hotties!
Can't stay. I'm having head, neck and shoulder issues. I had to go to the ER last night because my headache was so bad and nothing OTC would touch it. I'm getting a massage this afternoon. Can't wait!
TarHeel, you forgot to mention what position James Owens played.
Secondly, noone answered Kathy's question from 10:36 last night on the previous thread.
thanks RK. i need someone to keep me on track.
sorry to hear that Luv. hope you feel better and enjoy your massage.
Owens was a RB i believe.
So Dyer didn't make it to Auburn with Dakota Mosley? I don't like reading that he is getting worn down by the recruiting process and will lay low. Or maybe that means he's made his decision and now can chill.
hmmmmm
Hope the massage helps, Luv! So sorry to hear you're not feeling well.
Mon,
Where did you hear Chizik talking this morning? Did he say anything major?
Eddie,
Those are bad memories...it seemed those false starts came after every first down we made this year.
The Chiz was on earlier via 740. i missed it b/c i was hatin' with JG.
I hope the weight loss and injuries also made him lightheaded last year, thus being the cause of his false starts.
Agreed RK.
Chizik was on 740AM in Montgomery earlier and on JOX in BHam now I believe.
As far as Dyer, that comes from another Auburn site. I still feel really really good about Dyer.
Chiz said:
-concerned about depth on defense
-Fannin is one of the best athletes on the team and they are going to try in several positions
-Chiz has been most impressed with the teams resiliency in light of everything they've been through
Answer to Kathy's 10:36pm post. Pick a game, i'm going to most and most will be night games with plenty of opportunity to meetup and chat with other fellow posters.
Wow, I just read minimum wage has been raised to $7.25. That is crazy. Not so long ago when I started work at chick fil a, I think it was $4.15 or something. I remember being stoked when it got raised to $4.75. It's not like things were that much cheaper back then.
So anyway, look for your chick fil a sandwiches to increase in price again.
WERK - The little Chiz interview is available on 740's website now

My first job was washing cars in 1992 when I was 16 at a car lot, I think min wage was 4:15 then as well.
Thanks Monica
if yall need a live video feed of media days i have been using www.gatorsports.com. hey, at least it works with Google Chrome.
Tommy Trott on the air now on 740
What up guys and Monica?
Minimum wage increases today, meaning that Brodie Croyle may just have enough to buy that Game Boy Color he's had his eyes on.
Yow yow yow yow yow Football!
Matt,
If you had said Tyler Watts, that would have been better...Croyle at least makes 250K as the league min in the NFL is a bit more than min wage.
Too bad that's not reversed.
Good thing about working at home on Friday's, I can have ESPN U up in the background and listen to media days while I work.
I'm surprised Croyle hasn't been given his outright release...
Morning all, another good day of SEC football.
-Brody Croyle, where is he at now? Still at KC? I know with Matt Cassel in the fold, he probably wont make the team this year.
-Next week will be a let down. No football. I believe MSU is the first SEC team to open up at practice and thats next Sunday on the 2nd...
Just finished watching another one of my favorite games - AU vs LSU 1994. 7 interceptions, 4 returned for touchdowns. Defense scored all points except a field goal. 1 first down in the 2nd half. Fred Smith, Brian Robinson, Ken Alvis, Chris Shelling.
AU0LSU 1994
Morning Hot Ones! I have to agree with CGC on the concern about depth on defense. Our new 'faster' offense could really expose that if we cant sustain drives.
Morning Sean!
Trott characterized Chiz as "a fiery guy" and a "big disciplinarian"
Cincy Tiger, that was a great game, I think I was in 9th grade, watching that with my friends throwing football in the yard at halftime talking about the game, not dreaming we would win.
Plain and simple we NEED people to contribute, not to figure things out on the sidelines. Its a matter of who is going to step in practice and play.
ABC, looks like we'll just have to sustain long drives...
Cincy the 94 LSU game and the 93 UF game where the most electrifing games that I have ever had the privilage of attending. 94 was just insane. I kept thinking "surely LSU will not keep throwing the ball, right?" lol
Trott said Coach Malzahn's offense is "intricate" and "we're going to through the book at teams". He said this about Coach Mal's play book "there's a whole lotta stuff in there" and "being a tight end in the SEC...the fun part is getting out in space and catch the ball and I'm hoping to get the opportunity to do that more."
Cincy,
I never understood why LSU kept letting Jamie Howard throw the ball in that game.
through = throw
Hmmm intricate playbook, throw the book at opponents>>>simplifying the playbook.
I like it.
This one is even better. It shows all the interceptions and scores.
AU-LSU 1994
Brian Robinson & Chris Shelling were two of the best DB's we've ever had at finding the ball.
Sad news this morning Hotties, one of my former co-workers passed away last night from a major asthma attack. He was a young dude, keep his family in your prayers.
wow from an asthma attack? that's scary...sad
I kept sitting there in disbelief, thinking there is no way they will let him throw the ball again. And he did - to us!
If you've got the time to watch the 6 1/2 minute link above, it will pump you up!
Sean,
I am so sorry. You just don't think that people can still die of asthma these days.
Wow Sean that is unreal. My prayers are with the family & you.
Thanks all. When does Chiz hit the stage?
how come Steve Spurrier is now at the podium? apparently schedules don't mean crap this week.
Thanks for the replay link Mon!!
Big Cat...
I was at '94 LSU as well. A lot of my friends left in the 3rd. I am sooo glad I stuck it out. We ended up with only 165 yards of total offense yet scored 30.
You betcha, My Tommy
Listening to the Chizik replay -WOW I like the things he has to say, his attitude, his thoughts. Tell ya what gang, I think we got ourselves a very good coach. I hope all this translates to the field, and if it does, we're going to be just fine.
Did Chizik already go?
I heard on the radio this morning that the AU Basketball media guide was ranked 4th in the nation. Now if we can get the team ranked we will be in business lol
TommyD is the replay on the internet?
Chizik now on ESPNU
Since it's media day, this should be appropriate. It's called "Press Hop," and it's a remix of a bunch of press conference memorable moments, like Iverson, TO, Mora, and more.
