The SEC gets its own network
Hey everyone. The Southeastern Conference and ESPN will be teaming to create the "SEC Network" this fall, though it's far less comprehensive than what the Big 10 has done with its network.
Here's the deal. So you know ESPN purchased the rights to the Saturday morning games. Here's what you didn't know ... those games won't be shown on ESPN.
They'll be on these stations instead*
Birmingham-Tuscaloosa-Anniston: WTTO and WABM
Dothan: WTVY/HD (CBS)
Huntsville-Decatur-Florence: WDZX/HD (Fox) and WAMY
Mobile-Pensacola-Ft. Walton: WJTC (IND)
Montgomery-Selma: WCOV/HD (Fox)
Atlanta: WPCH/HD (IND)
Knoxville, Tenn.: WVLT/HD (CBS)
Huntington, W.Va.: WSAZ/HD (NBC)
Columbia, S.C.: WIS/HD (NBC)
Macon, Ga.: WGXA/HD (Fox)
Dallas, Texas: KTXA (IND)
Phoenix, Ariz.: KTVK; won't carry basketball
The "SEC Network" will carry football games on 13 consecutive Saturdays beginning on Sept. 5. The pre-game show will start at 11 a.m. CDT with kickoff scheduled for 11:21 a.m.
Your commentators will be Dave Neal, Andre Ware and Cara Capuano.
Your studio hosts will be Rob Stone and former Georgia lineman Matt Stinchcomb.
*I have attempted to identify all markets where HOTTIES are represented.

dayum.....hope that doesn't kill the new page.
SteveFC, if CTF is successful I hope Josh Moon doesn't feel compelled to interview him again.
Later Hoop.
It won't be hard to be successful at MTSU. The students aren't even aware they have a football team.
I just hope that with a new staff that the roles are clearly understood. Make the OC accountable for the offense and the DC accountable for the defense. Let them hire and fire if they like, but in the end, it is their heads on the chopping block.
I could do without another CTF interview. I understand why he felt the need to get his side out, but enough is enough.
pleasant dreams, Hoopie. Keep hate alive!
Sounds good to me, Steve, that's how it should be.
I should probably call it a night as well, before the calendar flips on me. Later folks.
Goodnight all.
buenos nachos
buenos (mamma g's) nachos.
later all
Well sports fans, it is that time again. A new day has dawned (figuratively) here in EDT zone.
T-minus 45 days til kickoff!!!
HAPPY JIMMIE WARREN DAY!!!
For the youngsters who are unaware, Jimmie Warren was an outstanding cornerback for Auburn during the "Bo years". Mr. Warren received Academic All-SEC honors one year.
Honorable mention to that smallish but pesky and lovable linebacker, Jason Miska. The dude was good.
Veeeeeegaaaaaaas

Hoopie.
Yeller feller didn't make any phone call.
A disgraceful bammer larry burton pulled that story out of his rear hole. It's complete fabrication. He posted it on bleacher's report, a joke of a website were you could write an article stating that saban loves unicorns.
Please don't promote the bammer propaganda / lies.
Good morning, Hotties and Happy Hump Day!
Just in case the question hadn't been answered, Ronnie Brown did wear # 48 in 2000.
"Coleman, Ziemba, and Tate have been named to the pre-season All-SEC team. I must admit I am surprised."
Steve,
Coleman & Ziemba were 2nd team and Tate was 3rd team. It's not like they were 1st team.
That being said, if Tate gets his carries he'll get 1,200 yards.
Good morning, Hotties!
BEACH two weeks from today!!!!
Cincy, I am SO jealous!!!!
Good Morning all!!
Cincy...
Beach 3 days from today. Woo Hoo!!
ehyou,
rub it in!
5 days at the beach with my hubby, daughter & son-in-law, my son and my niece. Savoring Scott Chocolate's AU chocolates and eating at BinOBA's restaurant. My kids are all grown and they are doing all the cooking when we don't eat out - could it get any better?!
And they are all Auburn grads, except Tyler who will be in May. So we can talk AU football all week. Yes, it does get better.
Off to elliptical so I can eat Scott's chocolates and Bin's creations!
I didn't see the Baltimore station. Bummer.
And good morning.
Morning Hotties - it's a new day just ripe for the hating.
Keep Hate Alive.
Saban loves unicorns?
And Leprechauns.
They're always after me lucky charms. What? Why does everyone always laugh when I say that?
I just watched the 1984 AU-FSU game that AU won 42-41. It is the only away AU game I have ever attended.
So many wonderful names to remember from that game. Brent Fullwood, Freddy Weygand, Trey Gainous. Pat Sullivan doing the color. Anyone know who the defensive players 94 & 95 were? They were awesome.
And plays. Anyone remember the opening kickoff in the 2nd half? Brent Fullwood returns it from 2 yds deep in endzone, fumbles, it's picked up by Carlos ? who runs it in for a touchdown. And AU's 45 yd penalty because Pat Dye went ballistic over a bad penalty call.
Probably one of the most exciting games I have seen. I was 5 months pregnant with Kathryn (the one from the bowling experience) and thought I was going to have her at that game. I would love to see another game like that - that we win!
cincy - Fullwoods fumble picked up by Ed Graham, #21 I believe.
I only got to listen on radio that night from Savannah. I've never seen it :-(
I was two years old at the time, and I remember watching every second of that game.
Check this out - it is AUsome!
AU-FSU
THT,
You are exactly right. Ed Graham. I just looked at the clip I sent. If y'all have time to watch it, it will definitely put you in the mood for some FOOTBALL!!!
Carver's Corey Crawford is visiting Auburn after his teammate (QB) was wronged by UGA.
I think that means the relationship between Carver and Auburn is getting better. The last guy Auburn got from Carver was ... the previous QB, DeRon Furr.
I didn't realize this tradition started during that AU-FSU game. I do remember that the FSU fans were extremely welcoming and friendly.
FSU War Chant
Is that Pat Washington at QB? I thought he was a lot bigger.
#38 RB ?? Campbell. Somebody help me out here.
Collis Campbell THT?
cincy...
Thanks for the link. Awesome game.
and Cincy, here's a big 'atta girl' for starting any morning watching AU football.
you and your 'bowling pregnancy' make me snicker every time i read it or think it.
and Pat Washington was QB in both '84 & '85 if i'm not mistaken.
COLLIS! yes indeed, how easily I forget. Thanks Scottie B for helping my old brain out.
I wish Kodi looked a lot more like Pat Washington.
I think Scottie is right - Collis Campbell. Apparently played while Bo was hurt, then didn't get much playing time after Bo returned and he quit the team.
What about #94 & #95 for the defense ion AU's 1984 team. Any idea who they were?
THT, i ain't good for much but i love AU trivia.
you had me on Jimmie Warren, though. i was like 6 when he played.
Pat Washington was a bad QB. Not my favorite.
not sure who those players are Cincy. i'll have to try to research it a bit.
and i'm sorry i left your shirt at home. will have to get out tomorow. :(
No problem Scottie, thanks for finding me one.
cincy - I'm drawing a blank. 98, was that Robert Goff? I don't remember when he played for AU.
I hate being at work. Don't these people know I'd rather be home watching the Tour de France? It's streaming on versus but I don't have time to watch :-(
Pat Washington wasn't a great QB, but he wasn't bad, either.
In 1984, we lost 4 games.
To Miami in the kickoff classic when we fumbled late.
To Texas when Bo got hurt and the defense gave up 35.
To Florida, which probably had the best team in the country.
To Alabama, thanks to some questionable coaching decisions.
In 1985, we lost four again.
Tennessee -- perfect set up game for a dubious No. 1 to get beat. And recall, he played in the 3-man rotation that game. After it was over, he was declare the man.
Florida -- A truly great game, which our defense couldn't stop them at the end.
Alabama -- Hardly Pat's fault. Luvell F'n Bivins!
Texas A&M -- A meaningless bowl game after the Alabama disappointment.
I think he was 16-7 in games he started. I'm not sure Randy Campbell would have done much better in those games. He was two wins against Alabama away from the Sugar Bowl, and both games were decided with the ball in the air on the last play of the game.
I'm off to play Mah Jongg. Behave yourselves - no biting, no name calling, no hair pullin'. OK to hate bama.
I'm not saying Washington is a "great" QB, but I do think he would be an improvement for us this year.
Pat Washington should have played before the invention of the forward pass.
Had we had a QB that was a danger to do anything with his arm in 1985 then Bo would have had 2200 yards rushing.
Hilarious call, JD. HAHAHAHA
I was but 1 year old in 1985. Thus I have no idea what any of you guys are talking about.
RK,
If Dye hadn't taken Bo out early in the third quarter of the Southwestern Louisiana game, Bo would have had 3,000 yards.
Fun fact: Bo averaged 12.6 yards per carry (23 for 290) in that game. Brent Fullwood averaged 15.7 (11 for 173).
Bo got the yardage he got in 85 (almost 1800) despite teams stacking the box because Washington was no danger to throw more than 10 yards down field.
