First Post: Thursday of Week Four
Hey everyone. Looks like more rain is on its way to central Alabama, which means the Tigers could be looking at another wet weekend. So it goes.
I was just watching a replay of the Ball State @ Army game from last week. The winless Cardinals didn't look all that bad to me, but I suppose you have to consider the level of competition. Maybe my 95-7 prediction for this weekend's game is a bit off.
Just joshin'. My real pick is Auburn 63, Ball State 10.
Here's the Auburn situation at this moment:

Tiger Talk at 7 pm CST JD; is that what you were talking about? If not, what's Thursday Night Live?
well said michael.
O yeah and yo momma too.
However, Toot's Restaurant in Murfreesboro does have really good fried dill pickles, so it could be worth the trip. Maybe we'll just alter the trip to Learjet, direct route, and just you, me, and j-z. That's assuming j-z's probation allows him to fly / cross state lines.
TV delivery TOMORROW!
While I'm at work, of course. It better go smoother than the last time.
it's the total package thursday nite THT.
1. Thursday nite ESPN CFB
2. Tiger Talk
3. JGT bloggin on the HABOTN
J-Z's coming to Knoxville next week so I assume his clearance is legit.
THT,
What time can we all come over for ice cream and to see the new TV?
There is nothing legit about J-Z.
I was talking about the total package THT. Although I will be doing some serious hatin' tonight
See...this is much better. Nothing a good page turn couldn't fix. Thank you!
The inner zoo keeper came out on the previous page.
You are so mean to us Momma.
That's not true. J-Z is a completely legitimate goofball.
Scottie B. - wish I could make the Knoxville trip. My daughter has a gymnastics meet on 10/4. We have to report to the 7th level of Hell at 7:45 that morning. (Yes, the meet is in Tusuckaloosa).
It only happens occasionally, JD.
IV, that's enough backtalking outta you.
sorry Choc. it should be a good time.
HELLLLLLOOOOOOO Hotties!
THT- The new TV is going to be delivered tomorrow? to the house? oh no, it was suppose to be shipped to my Dell'acqua address. Think you could overnight it to me? Thanks, luv ya.
Have puppets hijacked HABOTN?
it is puppet hour now. so....they'll be here soon.
Yes'mmm
Howdy 2.0, what's happenin'?
hey, it's Puppet Hour. ah.
According to the Coldplay fan page on FB, Coldplay as been turned into puppets.
"The Coldplay-shaped puppets continue their tour of London, with a nice sit down in Trafalgar Square"
A truly devastating day in the music industry.
Wait a minute...I thought Coldplay were already puppets.
I beg to differ. There's nothing about the end of Coldplay that would be bad.
I've tried, on three separate occasions, to get in to Coldplay and it just doesn't take.
Sorry, I like it better when U2 and Radiohead were different bands.
By the way, I dig the new Dave Matthews Band record though Leroy is greatly missed.
2.0
I gained 3 lbs in a week in Italy. Got out of there before I turned into Big Red. yum!
I want to go there this December, and eat, drink, and get married (or was that be merry?)
Agree Sensi the new album is outstanding. However, I wish ESPN would lose the tracks that they keep dropping all Saturday long.
Ciao IV!!
I'm living la dolce vita. There were 10 Ferraris parked on the street outside of my school today, not a bad day.
I'm happy I finally made it to Puppet Hour. Kudos to Aero for mastering the time difference.
Speaking of puppets Kirk Herbstreet is on Finescum right now. Wow that is a lot of puppets...
I hate my a$$ off in Italy, but I was actually able to counter that with all the walking I did. Same goes for the rest of Europe for that matter. When I lived in London for three months, I went over there weighing 195 and came back home weighing 175. True story.
When you get close to a Ferrari, it is going to be a good day 2.0.
Man, I have been in Toot's in Murfreesboro a couple of times and never did the pickle. What was I thinking?
There you go Scott C.
E's Bro - glad you were able to keep hating while in Italy. Not easy to do (except for the drivers).
Visiting England was great, but the best food there was something I got from a pizza joint. There is a reason the British empire once extended around the world. They were looking for decent cooks.
You can get excellent food at a gas station in Italy. I'm not even kidding one bit.
Man, I really wish I had gotten to Italy. Never been there, but had plans to go at one point. I was in England for about a week, but had meetings almost every day.
Sorry, my last post should have started with ate, not hate. The "h" was silent. I ate my a$$ off. Great pasta everynight. Some margarita pizza for lunch. La dolce vita indeed. Good times.
London is suppose to be taking over Paris as the culinary capital of the world, but obviously it's not b/c of English cuisine. London is basically a pantheon for the world's food, but I guess any big city is.
EB - I knew what you meant. I was just picking on you, especially since this is the epicenter of hate (but only that which is directed at UAT).
2.0 - what city are you in?
Fish n chips is good, though.
2.0, my job requires me to be up late at nights, monitoring. So .. and I've been here for 16 months.
---------
This weekend I've to go for another installation, and I don't think I'll be able to vpn back home so .. no ball state / habotn for Aero this Saturday.
dadgumit.
Thanks SC, I figured, but the OCD person in me had to correct the mistake personally.
Scott C- I'm in Florence.
I wish I had more time to spend in London. I was only there for parts of a few days. I was in a little city called Horsham the rest of the time. I did like the British rail system. We walked or road the train wherever we went. It was a trip to be riding on a train and see a castle or castle ruins along the way. It was just incredible. We talked to a lady who's home was built in the 1700s. Everyone here that has a home that was build in the 1700s, please raise your hands.
Ah, Florence - site of the worst driving experience of my life! I had this big plan to circle the outskirts of the city and drive directly to my hotel. Instead, I took a wrong turn and ended up in the middle of the city during rush hour (in pre-GPS days). I think there was some divine intervention that finally got us to the hotel. I was about ready to abandon the car.
Ah, Florence...
I love Europe's rail system in general. Wish we had something as extensive in the US. Nothing beats a good train ride in Europe.
THT is busy at work but sends his greetings.
Does that mean you " ate" my punctuation, EB? (The "h" is invisible).
"English? Who needs that? I'm never going to England. Let's go smoke."
Homer Simpson
That Homer has a way with words.
2.0 did you see where we are getting a TV tomorrow!?!?
THT- Did you not read my first post???
Okay Hotties- It's been fun. I've missed y'all. but i've about used up my monthly internet allowance tonight. A dopo tutti.
Ciao
And with that, another Puppet Hour came to an end.
End of puppet hour does not have to = death of thread. Hellooooo! We must fill the time between now and the triple-scoop of Tiger Talk, JGT blogging, and the ESPN football game. (Note that I just said "triple-scoop" to get THT sucked back in).
The only reason to sit during a game is to fill your diet coke with bourbon so the usher/cop doesn't see you. If everyone would stand, even that wouldn't be a problem.
Scottie,
2:46. Bad Form.
IV,
You're my hero. Don't forget it, old geezer.
I almost hit a ferrari in a parking deck last week. It was illegally parked on the end (you know, where they have those diagonal yellow lines) and partially sticking out into the lane. I came around the corner and skreeaaacchh (not really, I was going 5mph, more like pshshhh). I looked at it, muttered something derogatory under my breath and drove away. I shoulda nailed it but couldn't bring myself to purposefully damage such a beautiful car, whether the owner deserved it or not.
This comment has been removed by the author.
The only reason I don't visit Europe is there are too many foreigners over there. I tried to learn Italian, but it doesn't come off well with a redneck accent.
I assume you mean the traffic in Florence, Italy rather than the intellectual center known as Florence, Alabama.
57 minutes until time to go Nutts.
Thursday Night LIVE has been preloaded for 7 p.m. CDT.
I may be a few minutes late, just enough to miss Rod Bramblett shill for the AUHCC, but will be here for the real stuff.
There is a school function going on that I cannot miss.
You heard it here first... Tomorrow's headline, Today:
"Cocks Bust a Nutt."
or
"Spurrier, Cocks Bust a Nutt."
Something to that affect...
Who are you all pulling for in this game tonight?
Sensi...
Cocks... A win by them helps out the SEC-W race.
Snacks,
Bout time I was somebody's hero. And I love being an old geezer. It beats the hell out of the alternative.
South Carolina if I had to choose and because I picked them, but mainly just want to see a good game, which it should be.
It is hard to pull for anyone in this game because there are two of my favorite coaches to watch on the sidelines.
When we use to play Spurrier's Gators, I thought there should be something in the box score that listed the number of times he threw his visor.
As for Nutt, he has the most wonderful paniced expressions in college football. He is somewhere between Jack Nicholson in The Shining and reverend Ernest Angley, He is special.
I suppose I must pull for the Cocks, no matter how strange that might sound. Ole Nutt is in the west and a loss by them helps our chances of being in the top half of the SEC West. Besides, I live in Columbia, SC; so it is probably the politically correct thing to do.
What up peeps?
I had a flat tire today on the way home from work..
Fourth or Fifth one in 18 months..
I may switch away from Goodyear tires.
And yes..I rotate them regularly...
I do drive 120 miles a day round trip...but still.
I think, as crazy as Nutt is, I'm going to have to pull for Ole Miss. The better they look, the better we will look in a few weeks when we beat them.
I'm pulling for Spurrier tonight...
I had the good fortune to be amongst the 40 thousand witnesses to the dismantling of Spurrier's 1992 Gator squad get by King Jackie and MSU in Stark Vegas.
As the game got out of hand in the 2nd half, I stopped watching the game and concentrated on the Ole Ball Coach. If you've never had the opportunity to see him when his team is getting blown out, he goes into this peculiar shell on the sidelines (this is long after he's given up on throwing his visor). He spoke to no one, and no one spoke to him. He usually wasn't even paying attention to the field, but will become immensely interested in staring off into space, or at the ground. At one point he picked up a loose blade of grass and inspected it intently.
I always assumed back then that he was already thinking about his next opponent. Now, a decade and a half later, I'll bet when he's losing big like that he's thinking about retirement.
Tonight's game is brough to you by Terry Price, who Ole Nutt received in a trade for Tracy Rocker. I think we did okay on that deal.
is there a cmpfire tonight?
Why do they call Houston Nutt the "right reverend?" I've never heard of any of his ministerial training or proclivities.
Got the grass cut just in time for a kickoff!
Sensi: It's that Ernest Angely thing Nutt's got going on.
Why does SC's offense remind me of ours from 2008?
They seem so "plan-less" if that makes sense.
I wish you health and happiness every day!
Ich wunsche Ihnen Gluck und Gesundheit jeden Tag!
Je vous souhaite sante et bonheur chaque jour!

Thanks, Feng. The same to you.
Think Ole Miss wishes Michael Oher was still anchor on the left side?
I bet Snead does after that series.
anyone have a link for tiger talk
Let's Go Cocks@@@
Anyone need tickets for this weekend
I like that coaches are wearing patches for MD, but those patches are hideous.
I need club level tickets for free, anyone have some? :)
Bad Spot IMO.
Take that back. They have a plan.
Working quite well.
Uh...okay. Nevermind.
That wasn't part of the plan.
Speaking of plans, where's JGT? I was looking forward to that live-blogging-Tiger-Talk thang.
Important school function.
The man is also a dedicated father and husband in addition to feeding us minions.
Me too Freep. Hope he shows soon. I need the tiger talk updates.
So Carolina tackles like we do.
Geez, SC's WRs look Knoxlike.
What, they tackle?
"We have things that are good, things that are bad."
"We are going to play hard."
"Ball State is a good football team."
"(Insert Freshman Name) is an exciting player. We'll see if we can work him in there."
There ya go.
anyone have a link fot tiger talk
"First off Coach Chizik, War Eagle. Secondly, when are we going to see Aycock on the field? Thanks, I will hang up and listen."
I suppose Chizik's predictability is preferable to Tubs' zen from last year.
Well, at least Chizik isn't guaranteeing a championship and telling me to write that down.
I concur.
i'm still waiting our Rose Garden trip.
What is Gameday doing in State College?
Penn State / Iowa is all the rage. ABC Game of the week.
Giving unnecessary love to the Big 10/11, Bro?
Go figure with Miami-Va. Tech going on just a little bit south.
What channel is that on?
ABC at 2:30 Central
Ole Miss' run-blocking is solid. Pass-blocking...not so much.
Nutt looks like the mad scientist who never had a date.
Thanks.
The Cal-Oregon game is intriguing.
There you go, Miami / Va Tech 3:30 EST on ABC
Tony Franklin?
Nice Sensi. This version of Puppet hour has been brought to you by the Auburn Football Insider Podcast where we deliver the nonsense.
Nonsense at a rate of 600+ downloads a week
The thread is up.
No idea why it didn't automatically load.
