Montez Billings:That's a wrap

Hey everyone. Wideout Montez Billings, the Auburn graduate whose academic problems lingered months after graduation, announced today that he won't be back in 2009.

Officially, he left the team for "personal reasons." Coach Gene Chizik said last month that he had suspended Billings for first four games. That suspension was levied for unspecified reasons.

"We appreciate what he gave to the football program during his career and wish his the best in future endeavors," Chizik said.

Billings finishes his college career with 55 receptions for 645 yards. He played in 34 games.

For those of you attending the game today. Treat the WVU fans with kindness after we crush them.

Last year at WVU we were treated horribly after our loss and it was brutal. Before the game, a WVU fan bought my wife and I a beer and he said no matter what happens, we are not all @$$holes.
I now know what he meant.

How do I get ready for the game, you ask? Well last night I purchased a bottle of Woodford Reserve and a Webkinz. This morning I coached my boy's U7 soccer team to a dominating 2-0 win in the rain, and yes, they brought the pain. The parents on the other team looked a little worried when my son scored a goal and immediately yelled NO DROPS! (I'll be installing the Boatrace offense next week.)

Now I'm waiting on my ride listening to the Rolling Stones 73 Brussels Affair bootleg. It's gonna be a damn good day. War Eagle Hotties!

I am nervous as all get out. I feel confident we will win, but a lot depends upon our offense moving the ball and not leaving the defense out there all day.

I'm not that nervous, but I'm cooking right now, so that's probably a good thing.

Anyone getting the Auburn network broadcast?

Woo hoo! I'm back online, about 18 hours early!

BTW, saw the latest episode of AUFE this morning, and I was very impressed - not only from my biased Auburn perspective, but from a professional standpoint.

VERY crisp production, videography/editing is outstanding, a nice tight half hour all the way around. Much better than I anticipated.

Kudos to AUthentic Films. Excellent work.

I don't know if anyone else has noticed, but Crompton isn't a very good QB.

Pete Carroll may be the best big game coach in football, but he may very well be the worst coach when it comes to getting his team up for games they should win.
