1st half, Auburn @ LSU

Welcome to the first half of Auburn's game at LSU.

  • AUBURN POSSESSION ONE: PUNT. Auburn had a 4th-and-1 ... then was called for offsides. That's a wrap.

  • LSU POSSESSION ONE: TOUCHDOWN. Terrance Tolliver 14 pass from Jordan Jefferson. PAT kick good. Drive covers 83 yards in eight plays. Auburn was called for three penalties: Pass interference on Neiko Thorpe, personal foul on Zac Etheridge and encroachment on Nick Fairley.
      LSU 7, AUBURN 0

  • AUBURN POSSESSION TWO: PUNT. Three and out. Not much going on there.

  • LSU POSSESSION TWO: MISSED FIELD GOAL. 49 yards. It's Josh Jasper's fault.

  • AUBURN POSSESSION THREE: FUMBLE. Chris Todd sacked from the blind side, lost the ball.

  • LSU POSSESSION THREE: Jordan Jefferson 15 scramble. PAT kick good. Drive covered 17 yards in three plays.
      LSU 14, AUBURN 0

  • AUBURN POSSESSION FOUR: INTERCEPTION. Chris Hawkins got it for LSU. It was a really nice catch and a really poor decision on the throw.

  • LSU POSSESSION FOUR: FUMBLE. Jordan Jefferson fumbled at the two (caused by Zac Etheridge) and Craig Stevens recovered in the endzone.

  • AUBURN POSSESSION FIVE: Four-and-out. Nothing going on. Todd is indecisive.

  • LSU POSSESSION FIVE: PUNT. Jordan Jefferson was pressured for the first time.

  • AUBURN POSSESSION SIX: Auburn was moving, got into a 2nd-and-19 situation (on another Chris Todd fumble) and it was over.

  • LSU POSSESSION SIX: PUNT.

  • AUBURN POSSESSION "SEVEN": Philip Pierre-Louis fumbles the punt return and LSU recovered.

  • LSU POSSESSION SEVEN: FIELD GOAL. 32 yards. Josh Jasper has no problem with it. Drive covered 22 yards in six plays.
      LSU 17, AUBURN 0

  1. Let's get a touchdown for the first time on opening receiving kick.

    ReplyDelete
  2. Absolutely. Chris Todd rumor to bed.

    ReplyDelete
  3. That's definitely not our tendency.

    ReplyDelete
  4. So Kodi is an impact player?

    ReplyDelete
  5. The rumors about Todd being out may have been false. But he will be soon if he keeps running at this pace.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Lets go lets go lets go.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Todd just opened up the playbook like he previously mentioned

    ReplyDelete
  8. There is that impact player in action.

    ReplyDelete
  9. How was Kodi ever a QB?

    ReplyDelete
  10. that is why he doesn't play qb

    ReplyDelete
  11. They said Kodi was inconsistent with his accuracy, this couldn't be farther from the truth. He is consistently inaccurate.

    ReplyDelete
  12. And time to shoot ourselves in the foot.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Come on!!!!!!!!! Screw the refs.

    ReplyDelete
  14. McCain is the new Ziemba.

    ReplyDelete
  15. TERRIBLE CALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  16. geez, I didn't see the false start. Definitely a encroachment

    ReplyDelete
  17. Well... Didn't take long for STUPID penalties

    ReplyDelete
  18. That was offsides, not a false start.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I hope this doesn't mean that I have to hear the word execute 6000 times again this coming week

    ReplyDelete
  20. Bad call there, my appologies to McCain for those who get upset over my individual player comments..

    ReplyDelete
  21. Do we ever get a call this season?

    ReplyDelete
  22. There was a day not so long ago that lst run would have been stopped in the backfield.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I like how they are rolling the pocket and giving todd a running lane...

  25. Great 3rd down defense Auburn!!!!!!!!! Good grief.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Now THAT was my definition of poor execution on our part

    ReplyDelete
  27. If you want a sure fire unstoppable play. Just dump a pass over the middle against our D. We haven't stopped that all year.

    ReplyDelete
  28. We suck again. Sorry.

    ReplyDelete
  29. another bad call

    ReplyDelete
  30. That was a little lame.

    ReplyDelete
  31. was that really PI?

    ReplyDelete
  32. We got away with a facemask there.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Money that we give this 3rd down up.

    ReplyDelete
  34. QB is having way too much time

    ReplyDelete
  35. Anonymous6:46 PM

3rd and 13. we must stop this

    ReplyDelete
  36. BS CALL! BS CALL!

    ReplyDelete
  37. yet another bad call

    ReplyDelete
  38. ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME.

    ReplyDelete
  39. What is this???????????????????

    ReplyDelete
  40. Anonymous6:46 PM

h my goodness. lafelle drops it for us, and we do that...wow

    ReplyDelete
  41. Well, if they didn't complete it, we do stupid things. Most undisciplined team i've seen at Auburn ever.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Anonymous6:47 PM

    Slive- suspend these refs too!!

    ReplyDelete
  43. After the play??? After the play???

    ReplyDelete
  44. Anonymous6:47 PM

i bet this is on us, not them

    ReplyDelete
  45. He can't wait to see if he catches or not ... and he used his hands instead of his head.

    ReplyDelete
  46. That better be false start

    ReplyDelete
  47. Anonymous6:48 PM

lsu did the exact same thing, drawing us offsides last drive.. total bs bs bs bs bs

    ReplyDelete
  48. I have no problem with that last hit - LAME call

    ReplyDelete
  49. Wow, just wow.

One you get a rep for penalties, no matter what happens the penalty is against you.

    ReplyDelete
  50. wow...anyone listening to Stan White? Has he had a stroke yet?

    ReplyDelete
  51. go ahead and give em 6

    ReplyDelete
  52. Ball Game. I call it. Sorry guys. We get steam rolled.

    ReplyDelete
  53. We can't beat LSU and the refs

    ReplyDelete
  54. lately it has been obvious the SEC refs favor the higher ranked team. saw this lsu-georgia, arkansas-florida, now lsu-auburn

    ReplyDelete
  55. We are truly our own worst enemy.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Touchdown referees.

    ReplyDelete
  57. 3 questionable calls on that drive = lets see if it evens out.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Can Slive suspend a crew mid-game?

    ReplyDelete
  59. Anonymous6:50 PM

    cowbells 3 gators 0

    ReplyDelete
  60. We got no pressure and we weren't ready for the snap on the pass to Keland Williams, but we were off the field on 3rd down until Ethridge had the questionable unsportsmanlike call.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Jay,
I know you don't like us questioning the refs, and I always fussed at my children for doing that, but this SUCKS!

    ReplyDelete
  62. I guess our best solution is no more mistakes.

    ReplyDelete
  63. The worst penalty we committed on that drive was the one they didn't call.

    ReplyDelete
  64. I'm not one to complain much about refs, but the Ark game and the start of this one have been a bit much.

Our false start on our first drive and our offsides on the LSU drive were the same play called differently by the refs.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Neiko's PI was legit.

Etheridge personal foul? Iffy but reasonable. He went high and he should know better.

Fairley? Didn't think it was legit.

    ReplyDelete
  66. 34 yards in penalties on that drive set up by a penalty that caused us to punt.

    ReplyDelete
  67. RK nailed it. No pressure on QB makes for field day for LSU. We had bad penalties. They had drops. They will start catching it. This defense just blows all together. I hate watching it. Sorry, it just gets old.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Anonymous6:52 PM

#12 looked nice.. the big guy,um her sugar daddy?

    ReplyDelete
  69. They have proved that they will roll todd out. Will he actually throw it down the field?

    ReplyDelete
  70. 3 AND OUT AND LSU UP 14

    ReplyDelete
  71. think we can be still until the snap?

    ReplyDelete
  72. Why do I feel we need to go for it?

    ReplyDelete
  73. Aside from Kodi throwing downfield, we haven't seen a pass of more than 1 yard yet.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Anonymous6:55 PM

    3 and out

    ReplyDelete
  75. Refs 7
    LSU 0
    AU 0

    ReplyDelete
  76. Neiko's PI was understandable, but could have been a no-call. Didn't see the call on Fairly. Etheridge should have known better, but that wasn't roughnesss. Period.

The facemask was pretty blatant, but apparently they didn't see it.

    ReplyDelete
  77. I just don't think you throw that flag on Ethridge...but if you are Ethridge, you also should know not to do that as well.

    ReplyDelete
  78. O has got to move the ball

    ReplyDelete
  79. Apparently I missed an entire offensive possession.

Or more accurately, I didn't miss anything.

    ReplyDelete
  80. RK- Chris Todd doesn't trust his arm. That is obvious. They tried to give him confidence by giving him passing plays, but he won't pull the trigger. It's getting close to time to pull the trigger on Todd.

We are better than this. This play sucks right now. We don't have much talent, but we should be better than what i'm seeing right now.

    ReplyDelete
  81. We are rolling Todd out to run, Kodi has the only throw beyond the line so far...early signs are a lack of confidence in Todd's arm.

    ReplyDelete
  82. the questio is not the call but wil they call them the same bith ways...and from the looks of the offsides vs procedure the answer is no...

    ReplyDelete
  83. Anonymous6:58 PM

freep- did u blink? if so, yeah, you missed it

    ReplyDelete
  84. god, is Mark Jones bad.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Nice tackle 45. Way to leave your feet and get drug down the field.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Anonymous6:59 PM

    flag after the play..on us?

    ReplyDelete
  87. Another run that 2 years ago would have been stopped in the backfield.

It's tough to watch when you are used to a D that doesn't budge.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Anonymous6:59 PM

    yup

    ReplyDelete
  89. 53 yards in penalties so far.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Anonymous7:00 PM

    missed ******* tackles, again

    ReplyDelete
  91. Good lord we are playing some ugly football.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Glad to know we can make any player look good. Here's to Jefferson break out game.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Looking like 2003 all over again, I'm afraid. Only both teams are worse than they were then.

    ReplyDelete
  94. missed tackles are not helping our cause

    ReplyDelete
  95. Looks like the 03 game vs LSU so far.

Where is Tre to fumble some punts?

    ReplyDelete
  96. Bynes celebrating after the play makes me sick. He ALWAYS gives up a big play next time.

    ReplyDelete
  97. We got off the field on 3rd down and no penalties...good job D.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Hot-diggity dog-diggity, BOOM what you do to me. . .

Sorry, watching Lawrence Welk at the same time as the game.

    ReplyDelete
  99. By the way Bob Davie it's the southeastERN conference, not the southeast conference.

    ReplyDelete
  100. I spoke too soon on the no penalty.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Wow, way to pull a bonehead play!!!

    ReplyDelete
  102. I've never heard of delay on the defense.

    ReplyDelete
  103. WE even get F************ PENALTIES FROM THE BENCH!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  104. 59 yards in penalties so far now.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Anonymous7:04 PM

oh my gooodness. great- the refs hate us and they will hold it against us all freggin game

    ReplyDelete
  106. The sideline interference penalty is the tool of a weak official.

    ReplyDelete
  107. What Next? They need to try and kick because Roughing The Kicker is the only penalty these jack leg zebras haven't called.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Big early game play here on D.

    ReplyDelete
  109. The Bynes celebration rule is still in play.

    ReplyDelete
  110. hey hey! a little momentum??

    ReplyDelete
  111. Thank god, we got a break.

    ReplyDelete
  112. Anonymous7:06 PM

i am stunned Lse is not going to run up the middle. he would have gained at least 4 or 5 yards. wow, les the gambler.. what the heck... thank you, though... come on O!

    ReplyDelete
  113. Need a drive of some sort to get back in this thing while there's still a chance.

    ReplyDelete
  114. THink someone besides Chris comes in?

    ReplyDelete
  115. They are going to start making up penalties

"sharting on number 57 on the offense"

    ReplyDelete
  116. Last week we had a 10:0 ratio on penalties and I think right now it's 6:1 against us.

    ReplyDelete
  117. There's a guy named Tate ... pretty good RB ... give him the ball.

    ReplyDelete
  118. It's time for Chris Todd to do something...

    ReplyDelete
  119. In my entire life, I have never seen delay of game on the defense.

    ReplyDelete
  120. Illegal running on ethe return team. 45 yard penalty and loss of possession.

    ReplyDelete
  121. If Chris Todd does not throw the ball down the field this drive, they need to pull him. He is killing our offense IMO.

    ReplyDelete
  122. PULL TODD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  123. That doubled Todd's passing yards to 2.

    ReplyDelete
  124. Anonymous7:09 PM

    todd- scared to throw deep

    ReplyDelete
  125. Games like this make me wish I were a drinker.

    ReplyDelete
  126. Jay G ...

Are receivers getting open? Or is it as bad for Todd as it looks?

    ReplyDelete
  127. Where is the hit in the head penalty!!!!!!!!!!!

GET TODD OFF THE FIELD!!!!!!!! WE HAVE NO CHANCE WITH HIM PLAYING. NONE. ZIP!!!!!! NOTTA!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  128. Z got caught napping

    ReplyDelete
  129. Todd had a wide open man

    ReplyDelete
  130. Anonymous7:11 PM

    el toro lookin good

    ReplyDelete
  131. Hey, Eltoro made a play.

    ReplyDelete
  132. I think Caudle's interceptions would be preferrable to a fumble on the 15.

    ReplyDelete
  133. Anonymous7:12 PM

dang.. cover everyone but the athletic QB

    ReplyDelete
  134. The rout is on. Roof stinks so far as DC. Hope he improves with players.

    ReplyDelete
  135. Oh well.

I guess I should have taken the wife out to eat tonight or something.

    ReplyDelete
  136. Things are not going well so far.

    ReplyDelete
  137. I hate to say it but you can put a fork in this team.

    ReplyDelete
  138. Well folks. I hope this isn't going to be as ugly as it looks.

    ReplyDelete
  139. We have been down 14 before.... and won..... I still have faith

    ReplyDelete
  140. Does Etheridge ever EVER take the proper pursuit angle?

    ReplyDelete
  141. really didn't think it would happen, but this team is looking more and more like the 2008 version.

    ReplyDelete
  142. We keep handing things to one of the worst offenses in the NCAA.

    ReplyDelete
  143. Was it our scheme for Dee Ford to loop inside and leave the left side uncovered?

If so, that's a bad, bad scheme.

    ReplyDelete
  144. I agree WTC. I had faith that this staff could change the mentality. Apparently not. 6-6 is best case with this crappy play.

    ReplyDelete
  145. I said 31-7 earlier this week, and I think I'll be lucky to be right.

    ReplyDelete
  146. Anonymous7:14 PM

after watching that replay, there was no contain on the right side... our DE #95, slanted in behind the DT, but nobody covered the outside contain... mixed signal or just poor execution?

    ReplyDelete
  147. I can't watch much more. Watch the KO.

    ReplyDelete
  148. Worst defense in Au history makes any offense look good.

FU TUBERVILLE!!!!!!!! Hope you fail wherever you go.

    ReplyDelete
  149. Yards per play so far

    LSU 5.5
    AU 1

    ReplyDelete
  150. our pace stinks... if we are not going to go up tempo and snap quick.. then just huddle..

    ReplyDelete
  151. We don;t want to hit anyone

    ReplyDelete
  152. Anonymous7:16 PM

sorry bro jet- didn't see your post... but you are right

    ReplyDelete
  153. Come on HABATON!!!! Have a little faith.... 3 damn quarters to go!!!

    ReplyDelete
  154. Kodi burns in tells you all you need to know about Todd.

    ReplyDelete
  155. Wonder why LSU keyed on the run there?

    ReplyDelete
  156. this will probably be my only comment.....don't think I can watch this game

Or do you keep watching as you drive by the wreck?

    ReplyDelete
  157. Anonymous7:16 PM

    SAH- Scared as ...

    ReplyDelete
  158. Todd has dropped back about 10 times and yet to pull the trigger on a downfield pass. He has completely lost it and everyone knows it.

    ReplyDelete
  159. Holy cow, we threw the ball down the field.

    ReplyDelete
  160. why the changes every play?

    ReplyDelete
  161. Downfield pass and a 1st down. Wow.

    ReplyDelete
  162. Is Kodi playing 2nd QB now?

    ReplyDelete
  163. ZERO for another QTR

    ReplyDelete
