Radio Appearance Forthcoming

Hey everyone. I will be doing my weekly segment on SuperSport 930 out of Jackson, Miss., in a bit. That extravaganza will begin around 9:05 a.m. CDT.

We'll be talkin' Auburn and other stuff. You know how it goes.

wtc said...: After reading that Freeman will be olaying, I am strongly guessing we are going to a D that is going to stop the run. He cannot cover anyone, so that mean man coverage. I think we can get pressure if AU sells out to man coverage and just push everyone up on the line, fill a gap, and tackle.

wtc said...: I was talking with a friend today abotu how AU has got ZERO home cooking in calls this year. That catch by UK's wrwas certainly a push off on his part and 2 refs were there. They were looking at the reception-in bounds thing and never noticed the push off. That is just one call for that game. We have had several interference calls against us that were totally outlandish.; 8:38 PM
wtc said...: Not blaming the loss onthe refs because you should never leave it in their hands. But it is crazy how many PI calls AU had gotten and the other team has gotten very few that I can recall.; 8:39 PM

cincytiger said...: I know they can't review penalties, but it seems if a penalty is committed on a play they are reviewing, they should be able to call it. I know that is applying logic, but it seems to me that is fair.; 8:46 PM

cincytiger said...: Yeah, it might be opening up a whole new can of worms, but it seems the penalty calling, both ones that should be called and ones that shouldn't have been called, it ridiculous this year.; 8:52 PM
wtc said...: It is just strange how those two refs were looking at the catch and did not call the push off. One was running up form the endzone and the other was behind the recevier coming down the sidelines. it was obviuos when Washington took a quick left hand turn just as the ball got there.

But no excuses, he should have just rode the WR out of bounds. however, we have had that called against us also this season.; 8:53 PM
Unknown said...: I've long thought Fannin would be good in the wildcat, especially since he was a high school QB.

I think Burns keeps it because of team psychology. He made himself a leader and I'm not sure how the team would react if he gets demoted.; 8:55 PM

wtc said...: Eddie and I have both said that KB at wildcat is a wasted opportunity. He plays the QB and Todd is at WR. How many times has the ball been thrown to Todd? So he is 1 wasted player on the field.

When KB plays WR how many passes have been thrown his way? He has 2 cathches. Wasted player if all he does is go on motion and you ar enot going to give him the ball (no rushes when he comes across the field) nor throw it to him.; 9:03 PM
wtc said...: The reason the wildcat is dangerous is that you have a guy that can either run/throw or run with power. Our wildcat can do neither. I ain't hatin' just being real. He pulled the team together and all, but Fannin should play that spot now.; 9:04 PM

wtc said...: What has Fannin done as a slot receiver? I know he had 1 long TD catch, but other than that, what. He is under utilized IMO. He becomes a threat if he is moving around in order to get the ball running downhill. Todd has thrown it either too low, high, or behind Fannin most of the time. That is not a hard pass to make. When you lob it (aka the Kb pass to Lutz) the receiver gets NERVOUS cause someone will come up from behind and clean your clock.; 9:07 PM
