One?
ha ha
too much wildcat
Benton!
If you have trouble with that link,
try this one.
JKev - can I get some Ryan Adams?
For some reason when listening to the Hatin' segment the Reserve Of Jackson spot that airs and the guy saying "prestigious" as "perstigious" always cracks me up.
Wow the skies just opened up here in Chattanooga.
2 new axles!!!!!!!! long live the Maxima!
Bet that cost a couple dimes
Axles weren't that bad considering we've replaced them three times in 60,000 miles.
I was on the hook for labor only.
My grandmom's car, though: $1,000 for AC work. I think I'ma have to put that one on hold.
sensi --
done
J-Kev loves the hotties. don't let the 'hate' fool you.
Gah! Stupid Twitter...just notified me of the new post. and hence the radio appearance. Or maybe it was Twitbin's fault.
Jay G.
When I worked in radio we had a couple of shady deals with Alliance Sports which was the precursor to Rivals.
Sensi with the Bryan Adams shout-out. nice.
Thanks, JKev.
Don't blame you, JGT. It's almost winter anyway.
That car also needs a paint job. The paint on top has baded very badly.
So Maaco says it can do a "basic" job for $300. Don't you think that would be mucho sloppy?
I'll spray paint it for 50 Jay,but i get to pick the color
I'm thinking a $300 paint job will look like a $300 paint job. i.e. pretty crappy.
i put $150 into getting my AC fixed. it lasted 7 weeks. when i switched to heat to get the defrost working one morning it jacked it all up. looks like i'll be going back. gggrrrr.
Trooper Quote: Poise for the noise.
Schools for fools
Fewls.
"Believe in the ball and throw yourself." - Mr. T
guess we're all a little slow this morning. safe travels today JG.
Oh, and for the record, it's (No "B") RYAN Adams I have never played -- nor listened, voluntarily -- a Bryan Adams song.
Bryan Adams used to be big with the ladies.
"Everything I do....I do it for you."
-Bryan Adams
Bryan Adams could write a pop song. I'll give him that.
I won't lie, I liked "Summer of 69" and "Run To You".
However as I have said before, I love some Ryan Adams.
Feng, you sneaky commie
I hate Bryan Adams.
Shop til you drop.
Oh,wait--no drops.
Is now appropriate to play "Livin' on a Prayer"? I still hate it and would like it banned from all future Auburn games.
Is this thing on? Or did I kill it?
whatever..we should ban that god-awful zombie nation crap
This comment has been removed by the author.
But what if Living on a Prayer was played during Zombie Nation's use of orange jerseys via a facebook/twitter update while arguing about which lady is the most attractive eating the best style BBQ according to Tommy Tuberville who may or may not have been a great coach who admitted that recruiting rankings may or may not matter just look at Sen'derrick Marks?
i'm sure some people in here would die of spontaneous combustion or they would just explode if that happened.
For every Sen'Derrick Marks there are 5 Brandon Earl's.
And for every Brandon Earl, there are 100 Tims.
I don't know any Tim's, but I have always wanted a friend named "Earl" and another named "Pork Chop"
Yeah, but there's only one Tim the Enchanter.
JGT sorry I missed the campfire last night. For what ever reason I just could not get it to work for me. I tried several names and passwords and it just kept saying wrong name or password.
Looking forward to the game this week end, hope for the best but trying to preapare for the worst
Digger- Here is michael's info so you can log in as him:
Username: MichealJanTeri

You guys are really stinkin' it up again today
It's a strategy...if we stink it up in here, then the team will react by playing championship football tomorrow.
It's guaranteed to work.
Harrison, I can introduce you to a guy named Pork Chop. He's a logger and I'm pretty sure he cooks meth on the side, so the "friend" thing is up to you.
I'm headed out toward Red Stick momentarily.
Please behave yourselves. See you either tonight or tomorrow night. If there is interest, maybe we can run a spontaneous campfire tonight like we did back in the old days.
see ya JGT. watch out for flying corn dogs.
Does campfire tonight involve jay enjoying a 6 incher like he did last year?
By the way, for those interested, here is the predictions for this week if interested:
Auburn / LSU Predictions from Sensi, E-Bro and Myself
just finished listening to the AFIP Eddie/Sensi. not sure i feel any better about LSU now. thanks a lot.
;)
Scottie- Look at the predictions to make you feel better.
do we believe that is a make or break game for C.Todd?
I would say so. If he struggles for 3 games in a row, I'd say a change will be made.
If he struggles early it may be made during the game.
it feels that way to me too RK assuming his shoulder isn't 100%.
Eddie,
Enoyed reading your's and the others predictions. It will take an "A" effort on both sides of the ball in order for Auburn to win this one.
I hope the last two games were just a short slump, but it's hard to deny it looks like something is different when he throws the ball. It just looks more like film from early last year right now.
Scottie ...
I'd like to think it is ... but I don't know. I'd like to think that if he doesn't get it done in Baton Rouge ... when we're getting clubbed in the second half ... which is what I think will happen ... that they give the keys to Caudle to let him drive home.
Slow today. Must be the rain.
If Todd Struggles, so does Auburn. I'm just crossing my fingers that he can get it together.
yeah, i remember your prediction Jet. i think i took LSU 24-17 but my feelings on this game keep changing.
Auburn will win by 20. You guys just watch.
I will enjoy watching if that's the case.
I don't get the notion that Tennessee will give Alabama a game.
That's Alabama biggest, most hated rival. And they have a way better defense than anything Tennessee can throw at them.
So what if Alabama's offense isn't that great? They don't have to be.
Alabama 31 UT 6
Is UT's starting center really 6'1 260 lbs? Giving up 100 lbs and 4-5 inches to Terrance Cody is a bad match-up in my opinion.
Centers are often that size Sensi. He will never take on Cody alone the entire game.
I think I will pick Alabama winning 21-3. Tennessee's D is good, but how will they score on bama?
I don't think they will score much at all.
Is this the bama or Auburn blog???? :)
Beat LSU!!!!!!!!!!
CFN predicts:
LSU 23 … Auburn 17
Alabama 23 … Tennessee 10
I hope both are the reverse.
FALSE START #73
i wish i was going so i could stop by Cafe du Monde for an order of beniets (sp?) and coffee. yummy.
Scottie- I'm with you there!!!!! YUM YUM.
Geez Eddie,
Don't call out indiviudal #'s on this blog.
UT/Alabama line is Bama - 17.
I don't see the winning team scoring much more than 17.
Take UT + the points, but Bama to win.
A friend of mine and I bought some of the Cafe du Monde beignet mix back from NOLA when we were at AU. We tried to make them for some girls we wanted to impress. We made the biggest mess ever. Dough and powdered sugar were all over the place. I think the girls were impressed by the effort, but the beignets left a lot to be desired. That said, Scottie B., I think you can buy the mix and the coffee in most nice grocery stores these days, if you want to try your hand at creating the Cafe du Monde experience at home.
bought = brought
FRANK SANDERS!!!!!!!
Bama 31...UT 10-- Bama's D will score twice off of Crompton miscues.
grrrrr- LSU 27..AU 13 LSU wins going away. I sure hope that Todd's passing motion I saw on the Ky film is an anomoly and this prediction is therefore....bogus.
Hoopie,
I'm thinking first play of the game will be that swinging gate play that we got penalized for last game, but this time it's to Fannin who throws to T-Zach down the sidelines.
That work for you?
Where are the Corndogs.
Didn't we have one or two come on here last year? Or was that on another forum?
thanks Scott Choc. i had actually planned to order some from their website for this week but somehow forgot. they don't have their brand in stores up here. i may scout the grocery store again tonite to see if i can find something close. their coffee has chickory in it, whatever that is. it gives it a strong taste.
yup, i'm doing it. i've talked myself into figuring it out. :) i usually make gumbo or something for LSU week but i've got to work & go to a wedding tomorrow before the game and won't have time.
Geez, another football season wedding?
Scottie, I thought they outlawed stuff like that in Knoxville on UT/Bama weekend?
Sullivan throws to a wide open.....
almost...
BEASLEY!
i screwed that up. oh, well.
well, the wedding is at 1:30 and the reception is a tailgate/game watching party for the Bama-UT game at 3:30 ET. i was planning on staying till halftime so i could make it home and prepare for our game.
if it didn't have a tailgate involved i wouldn't be there trust me.
Catch the hotties later tonight, maybe even at a campfire!!!!
War Eagle....BEAT LSU!!!!!!
Oh well, I guess Hoopie left before I got approval of my 1st down passing plays.
I've named two of my first down plays for far.
1. Swinging gate pass by Fannin.
2. Triple fake reverse WR screen.
I HATE TENNESSEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
FSJ,
University Of?
Or the state in general?
Mainly the university.
I love Nashville.
FSJ
Is Tennessee Alabama's biggest rival?
Your opinion will be weighted heavier than your Bammer brethren as you hang here without being a douche.
Sensi ...
I wouldn't go that far ... as I subscribed to the theory that most people ... despite their best efforts ... are douches.
Also, who do Bama fans think is more corrupt, UT or the NCAA?
Jet,
You are talking most people in general, not just Alabama fans, right?
Oh, I'm a total d**k and I know it. I own that. It's cool. The sooner people realize it, the sooner we can all get along.
Jet, can you feed me scores tonight. Big game. Playoffs on the line.
Sensi,
Only on weeks you pick against Auburn...which seems to be every week, so yeah, I guess you are right.
I fall in that category too. My sarcasm switch is usually switched on all the time.
I'm out for the afternoon, gang.
Sensi,
Take your Advil. :)
I'm a douchebag, he's a douchebag, wouldn't like to be a douchebag, too?
Sensi ... I'm on it. From I understand there are 16 scenarios for the playoffs ... 15 of them get us in. Win and we get a first round home game.
To win the region, we need to win, plus UAT has to agree to play in pink jerseys on Saturday and RK has to be nice for a week.
Lose and we get one way ticket to Buzzsawville.
RK...nice call on the first play. Set us up some more first down pass plays and email them to Gus.
I think we have to pass on first down in this game. We cannot take on the LSU run D all game with a run first strategy.
Can't pass? Can't win.
Ziemba will have his hands full with Alem.
Sensi..
In all honesty I'll answer it this way.
If you ask older Bama grads they'll say Tennessee.
If you as younger Bama grads they'll say Auburn.
Non Alums will probably say Auburn.
I split the difference and say 50/50 for me. I'm a grad but not a recent one.
I do hate Phil Fulmer more than I hate any Auburn coach.
Jet....Re: your everyone's a douche theory.
Anyone that talks long enough can reveal their inner douche.
Hmmm....that sounds kinda gross....won't get me banhammered will it?
RK..
I think the NCAA and UT are equally corrupt.
The NCAA because they let people like Ohio State & USC skate.
UT because they made a deal with Roy Kramer.
They had the goods on them in the Tee Martin case and not a thing came of it.
I call BS on any team other than Auburn being Bammer's biggest rival.
Grads make up only about 20% of the Alabama fanbase.
I don't know what it is like elsewhere, but in Huntsville, young and old Bama fans care much more about the Iron Bowl than the Third Saturday in October. As far as "who they hate more"? I don't know, but there are plenty of people still sore about Philip Fulmer turning bama in for cheating.
ballin,
You ask somebody over 60 that is a Bama grad and I guarantee you they will say Tennessee.
Like I said anybody that grew up after Bryant will say Auburn.
Now let me be clear if you forced me to choose..i'd rather beat Auburn, mainly because i reside here for my entertainment. :-)
Just did, his reply was "are you kidding"
FSJ...as an ex-Bammer that has seen the light and is looking over from the next state:
Bama hate for UT is a deep, sophisticated hate..(hence older grads)
Bama hate for AU resembles a bunch of trailer park dwellers that are pissed off "'cause NASCAR modified #3's air dam and he ain't won in 3 weeks".
This comment has been removed by the author.
Bama fans who will say UT is a bigger rival than AU:
1) Those saying it just to piss off Auburn fans
2) Those who said it for six years in a row to delude themselves
3) Those who live in Tennessee
Correct-amundo, Count Chocula.
Hoopie,
Although it seems rare we agree, I agree the passing game this weekend is huge. For us to beat LSU we have to have the passing game that we had in games 1-4.5 to go with our running game.
Choco is correct. The UT is our biggest rival stuff from Bama fans came very very recently.
Let me say this....
I'd rather beat Auburn...
But there is a reason that cigars will be passed out in the locker room Saturday night should we win. And this is not something that has started recently.
I've always hated the fact that Bama counts the trailer park dwellers as fans.
I really started hating the entirety of Bama when the university started counting the bogus 12 MNCs. That desperate attempt by the university to regain support from a bunch of ignorant folks worked...and then confirmed my belief that:
"Bammer Arrogance is the antidote to Bammer Ignorance."
Yes...because Auburn has no fans that live in trailer parks.
And last time I checked Auburn claimed national championships in their media guide for years after 1957.
dang RK...we agree...that's notable.
Now if we can get you to quit speculative cynism... and me to not be so neurotic about such.
Pages 191, 192, & 193 of this year's media guide to be precise.
FSJ has a good point. i think it's a generation thing. it's the same thing with Tennessee fans. younger folks consider Florida their biggest rival while older folks think it's Bama.
They hand out cigars because the head trainer handed some out after Bama beat UT one time in the 1950's and the tradition stuck. The trainer was Jim Goostree, who went to UT. Had he gone to AU, I'll bet he would have handed them out after Bama beat AU.
look at Choco with the Bama trivia!
exactly scottie..
There's a reason why the Albert Means thing was a pi$$ing match between two old men.
Wait 'til you hear the story about Bear, the intern, and the cigar.
FSJ..got 12?....and ...of course there are such AU fans ...just a very low % of such fans.
The worst 'necks I've seen at a CFB game was on the RR trestle at UGA in '79. 2 toothless "Erk Russell" type shaved-head dudes that were wearing overalls while barefoot and with no shirts were swiggin' and sharin' Jack Daniels straight from the same bottle. I yelled War Eagle and they threw the bottle at me. The bottle broke and they were out of whiskey.
i must admit i smoked a cigar at Toomer's after the 2000 LSU game.
victory dance.
good times.
scottie,
Didnt Tuberville start the cigar thing after LSU around that time?
And for the record I smoked a big ole cigar after last year's Iron Bowl. I deserved it.
I always do after we beat UT.
Hoopie - after some of the Auburn fans I saw at the UT game, I am not going to talk trash about any other school's fans.
Actually, I will continue to talk trash, but with the knowledge that there are more al.com style Auburn fans out there than I would have liked to think.
yup. it was the 1999 game in Baton Rouge he gave 'em out. i saw a pic where 10 or so AU players were standing on the field with them in their mouths. it was a pretty cool pic.
Bear liked older women.
howdy. sponge here heard that our man Todd wasn't allowed to throw all week, for the most part. anyone else hearing that? Me thinks somethings amiss w/ the shoulder
yeah..I remember that. There was alot of controversy around that but I thought it was great.
That's surprising, MJT. I have rarely seen that.
Hoopie..
Bear liked women...younger and older.
What's up Hotties? Have you missed me? I've been out of pocket for the last few days and have read absolutely zero about AU or anything else for that matter. Your friend Norm is having eye and vision issues. I have a detached retina in my left eye and have zero vision there. My right is really only useful to me for watching tv (so now I have a built-in excuse for that activity). Reading, typing etc. are pretty difficult for me the past few days. Anyway, I'll be forced to be away from HABOTN for a bit. I'll be having surgery Monday morning to hopefully repair this thing and am on some VERY strict restrictions on what I can't do for a few weeks after. Basically, if it involves moving the eye muscles (as you're likely to do when reading), it's a no-no.
So, I'll be back amongst you as soon as possible but I'm not sure when that may be. While I'm gone I ask that you play nicely with each other and as always KEEP HATE ALIVE! I'll also as Chiz to go out there and win one for "the Norm".
Bear liked men too, like Jack Daniels, Evan Williams, etc
good luck w/ that Norm. Eye surgery has come a long way.
ok, so it wasn't 10 players, but it was pretty cool.
SMOKE 'EM IF YOU GOT 'EM AT LSU
Norm, if you sneeze during eye surgery, you get brain damage. So be careful.
Norm, can't you dictate your posts to someone? How are we ever going to get any pages turned around here.
Hope your eye heals quickly.
Michael....you are probably right. It's just that I get back to Ala 6-9 times a year and at least from what I see there are 10 times as many Bama fans fitting that stereotype as AU fans. There is however, a concentration of such AU fans around Phoenix City, but nothing like Sand Mtn.
FSJ....you deserved the Iron Bowl cigar.
Norm..be careful. Prayers sent.
good luck Norm. yikes.
Right Hoopie, I would say by and large the bama fan base is much worse. It is the default program for someone who hasn't attended a university in Alabama - and not to be snobbish, but some of the uneducated peops in Alabama are not the smartest most well-adjusted human beings.
But at UT, there were two people in my section screaming incorrectly about bad calls (by refs and coaches) on a consistant basis, and one of those guys was talking trash to unsuspecting Tennessee fans sitting in front of him. A friend of mine in another section said he was sitting close to an Auburn fan who would bend over and scream not very nice things in the ear of an elderly UT fan. So yeah, the al.com people do make it to games.
OK..it's 4:47 in the EDT. Gotta go get my gameface on for the Cartersville Purple Hurricanes vs. Cedartown Bulldawgs. later.
Puppet Hour is near.
Michael...that would indeed be embarassing.
FSJ, did the cigar still taste good after keeping it for six years?
I think me and Hoopie shared a moment.
Quick rk, say something about AC's study habits and lets get things back to normal here.
Just messin' with ya, FSJ. I probably would have smoked a cigar in '82 had I been a little older than 15.

Nice find of the cigar pic, scottie.
What's funny is that the big complaint from the Corndog Contingent was that we 'disrespected LSU fans' when our players came back out with cigars postgame.
From the looks of it, there weren't any LSU fans around to see it. In fact, the stands were almost empty midway through the 4th quarter.
Norm,
Praying for no complications from your eye surgery and complete sight restored. Take it easy and let people wait on you for a few days.
Ditto that, Norm. Glad you are getting that taken care of promptly, and hope that all goes well!
And be sure to tell your surgeon WAR EAGLE for good measure!
what happened with harry adams,,,why did he get kicke doff the team
He was caught stealing state secrets.
He's lucky he was only kicked off the team. In a simpler time, he would have been taken out to the intramural fields and shot.
That's why those fields are so lumpy Freep, all those dead bodies
Oh yeah, you guys ruined puppet hour too. nice.
Scott..
Have no idea what the cigar tasted like...I was well lit long before the game ended.
Exactly Freep..
If things start going badly...LSU fans bail out quickly.
LSU's fan support is like Lake Pontchatrain: 40 miles wide, 25 miles long, and 6 inches deep.
I suppose you could say the same about their fanbase's gene pool.
Well, as usual, it is LSU week and I can almost smell the corndogs.
http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/columns/story?columnist=reilly_rick&id=4577871&sportCat=nfl
Rick Reilly's passionate defense of tailgating.
Finally - I have the whole place to myself!!!
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh......
Not so fast my Freep!
Where is everyone
Dang! Who let you two in here?
Oh well, pull up a seat and relax. I'll call the waitress over.
What are we drinking? A nice Pinot Grigio?
How about a Kona Brewing Co. Pipeline Porter? I'll buy us a round.
Hey, Shesaid, if you're still there, I just discovered we are Tigers of the same stripe!! GO BCHS!!!
Freep,
That sounds suspiciously like beer, I don't like beer. I'll buy if we're drinking wine.
Norm, prayers sent for a very successful surgery.
Got to get my bags packed for Baton Rouge. Heading down at 4:00 a.m.
Kathy,
Have an awesome time. I so hope you get to celebrate a win. Be safe.
I'll have a Maker's and Diet Coke.
It is beer, cincy, my current favorite. Brewed with genuine Kona coffee, uniting my two favorite beverages.
Nectar of the gods it is.
But I'll take a nice Syraah or Merlot if your pouring. . .
I'll have the makers...skip the coke.
shesaid - just shot you a message via Facebook. . .
Kathy, the last time I went to Baton Rouge a kicker that shall remain nameless in my own head missed 5 field goals. Maybe you're the charm that works this year.
If I am not drinking Beer which is very rare I will tkae a dry, dry martini stirred not shaken with two olives
y'all are too strong for me - 1 glass of wine, rarely 2, is about all I can handle. I get very sleepy...
Regret to say I have never attended a game in Baton Rouge and we have won some and lost some. So without me there we will either win it or lose it.
After reading all the doom and gloom here:
"Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?"
"Always with the negative waves Moriarty, always with the negative waves."
This is my first trip to Baton Rouge. I'm going down with 3 other women. We'll definitely be cheering for the Auburn Tigers and hope to see the tigers from the TN game.
I think Sensi's new name should be Moriarity.
I agree NoVaTiger
He has been very negative and never noticed the beautiful day.
Hey, ehyou and I are still drinking the kool aid. We predict a big win for Auburn this weekend!
I put the koolaide down last weekend.
But
I will be watching and pulling for the Tigers as always.
WAR EAGLE
cincy, you are my kind of woman.
It's not everyone, but the mood here has been very negative.
I prefer to think that Todd will get his head together or Caudle will thrive. Either of those things happens ad we have a good chance.
If the offense gets untracked and plays well we can beat LSU and anyone on our schedule.
We will dominate LSU, primarily due to our onside punting game.
I think most of the negativity is hangover from '08.
It's that whole 'here we go again' feeling. Is Todd hurt, but no one is willing to admit it? If Burns isn't the answer, will the coaches finally give Caudle a chance? What about Barrett Trotter? Why is the defense getting worse?
Been there, done that, all too recently. I'm still holding out hope that Chiz & Co. won't make the same choices that their predecessors did.
Or at least if they do, the outcome is better.
Take it away and flip the page
Come on Hotties what ya got going?
