I think the Rose Bowl has been pretty solid so far. It's a close game and the offenses have been moving the ball a bit.

Could be a good finish here with some points.

6:12 PM

Okay, let me get this straight. LGGByron is THT Jr, a son, while THT 2.0 is THT's daughter? THT, could you provide a slide presentation to clear things up for me?

6:15 PM
Blogger Tar Heel Tiger said...

SteveFC - Yep, I referred to son as THTjr on here, and didn't even know he was posting on HABOTN as LGG Byron until a few weeks later when he finally told me.

2.0 has been called that for about a dozen years. She is so much like her mother, even when she was very young, THTjr said she was version 2.0.

Define boring. If watching paint dry isn't boring, then no, the Rose Bowl isn't boring.

By the way, we should have a guess the hottie contest with that from page pick. My picks are....

HA - IV
B - IV jr
OT - Digger
N. - JGT
CO - Kristina
M - Scottie B?

6:24 PM

Steve, don't think Kristina or Scottie B made it to Tampa.

Clearly, Steve, you are not watching the game.

I like to knock on the Big Ten as much as the next guy, but I can admit when a game involving a Big Ten team is entertaining.

This game has been highly entertaining so far.

6:29 PM
Blogger Unknown said...

Kathy, that might seriously hurt my chances in the pickem.

6:29 PM
Blogger Unknown said...

E-Bro, you may be correct. These teams just don't excite me. I do like the state of Oregon, but not for football. I see them more of a Birkenstock crowd than a Football crowd.

6:35 PM

Hey, I respect what NW did. You can imagine they should be a bit upset. Their last bowl win was in 1949. Heck, I don't think Hawkeye had even made it to Korea back then. They have been waiting a very long time and came up 2 yards short after gaining over 600.

6:35 PM

I'm not watching the Rose Bowl, but I would imagine that pretty much any game you watch after the Outback Bowl would appear pretty boring in comparison.

I just liked Roof's Jack Nicholson Code Red impression. If looks could kill, Hood would be dust now. Just listen to Josh Bynes postgame. First, he got mad when someone mentioned the stats. Didn't want to hear it. Then he talked about David Goggins (sp). Can he leave early? He talked about his time at Auburn like it might be up.

8:21 PM

ESPN Game Day had an interesting segment with Phil Savage breaking down Tebow's mechanics.

His evaluation? His throwing motion is elongated, and that will not serve him well in the NFL.

8:22 PM
Blogger Jet said...

I think it's called "The Tater Tot Trot."

8:22 PM
Blogger Tar Heel Tiger said...

D.Miller - I don't think it's accuracy so much as his throwing motion. NFL folks cringe when the ball drops below Tebow's hip on just about every throw. They say (rightly or wrongly) that that just won't work in The League.

8:23 PM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

D. Miller - They did a piece today discussing his long arm motion that takes a long time to deliver the ball. DB's in the NFL will pick it up quick.

The elongated delivery has been a knock on several NFL qb's... Jason Campbell being one.
