HABOTN hits the road

Hey everyone. Our HABOTN Recruiting Team® will be heading down I-65 momentarily in search of an offensive lineman from Spanish Fort.

You may know him better as Reese Dismukes.

He's one of the state's top prospects ... and today he'll be choosing between Auburn and Alabama. Does this mean the HABOTN knows something? No. My track record on these kinds of trips is mixed.

Dismukes' announcement is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Our Recruiting Team® will post once they arrive on site.

ALSO: My friend and rival Charles Goldberg, he of The Gold Mine fame, is having invasive shoulder surgery today. Please keep him in your thoughts.

Cothron. I think he has eliminated UAt from his list. Barbee has made a huge effort to get him. Mom likes our chances on getting him

I really wanted Shawn Kemp at Auburn. A true center is hard to find.

I just don't get it, I know our country has issues in its education system, and I lots of people, the vast majority in fact, did not have the opportunities I had. I was blessed to no end by a DAD who worked his rump off fixing phones for 33 years.

That said, I do not understand not getting your work done in the classroom. I never will.

The PG Salter was moaning about a math class.

DUDE, ALL YOU HAD TO DO WAS PASS MATH 120 AND THEN YOU COULD GET INTO AN SEC SCHOOL WITH A NEW ARENA AND PLAY FOR A COACH WHO RUNS VARIANT OF THE CALAPARI OFFENSE!!!!!!!!!! Heck, the only A I ever made in math at the college level was math 120. Now I hear this about Kemp. It makes me sick.

I can understand someone like Jeremy Richardson, with all the issues in his family and he is obviously trying to right the ship, but some of these basketball guys just make me angry.

9:07 AM
Blogger stupup74 said...

That Salter guy, when I read that, it just got my goat. (Obviously)

9:09 AM
Blogger stupup74 said...

Jay, if Stephen Davis shows up, you can probably leave early.

9:12 AM
Blogger CHB said...

If there are major concerns on whether or not Kemp will make it then I think we should cut our losses now and get someone else.

On Cothron I was hearing just a week ago that he was about to commit to the walmartians. Glad to hear they are out of it. If we can get him and Langford I think next season could be looking a lot better.

I know the thing about S. Davis is a joke, but people made too much of it. Davis was,is and always will be an Auburn man. He wanted Lattimore to do what he felt in his heart. No crime in that.

With 3 of the top linemen at their positions already committed (assuming Dismukes doesn't pull a Region) I think a top 5 class can easily be attained again. Thoughts.

9:25 AM
Blogger CHB said...

I know it's just a spring game, but has anyone heard the discrepancies with the attendance at the walmartians a-day game? UA officials were saying it was full capacity but no effort was made to actually get a count. From what I heard there were several sections that were pretty empty. I saw clips on ESPN and there were a lot of holes. Like I said I know it was a spring game but its funny how they always try to spin things.

Jet's Mid-Morning Cliff Notes

*-Shawn Kemp Jr., was blessed with a dad who procreated enough children to fill several signing classes. Maybe we'll get another one.

*-Stephen Davis has been admonished. Case closed.

*-Auburn could go from also ran to competitive in the West in a HURRY in hoops. It might not be pretty, but it can get done.

*-If Dismukes chooses anyone other than Auburn, then I wouldn't be more surprised if I woke up in the morning with my head sewn to the carpet.
