Auburn football lands a commitment
Hey everyone. Just a quick note to say our friends at AuburnSports.com, AuburnUndercover.com and ITAT are reporting that Auburn has secured a commitment from Mobile defensive tackle JaBrian Miles.
He currently stands 6-foot-2 and weighs approximately 260 pounds.
Miles, who plays at Davidson High, picked Auburn over offers from Alabama, Florida, Ole Miss and Florida State ... among others.

FAH again.
Dos
Miles and miles of Hotties' smiles for JaBrian!!!
WARRRRRRRRR EAGLE!!!
at least I brought some substance.
I like commitment news. Except when it involves me personally and something against my will. I hate it when my family does that to me.
Unrelated to anything else, why is election time so crazy in Alabama? Signage everywhere, commercials constantly, mudslinging... In Georgia, we have a primary coming up in a few weeks, I've been working from home yesterday and today and I think I've noticed a whopping total of SIX commercials for various candidates. The signage is few and far between too (at least in my area it is).
Norm,
We used to have those butter and sugar sandwiches. Mmmmmmm!
This guy has a very impressive offer list. Welcome to the Auburn family, JaBrian.
Scotty ..Hatin' on Texas is fun. I traveled to Austin, Texas most every week for 2 years. I soon realized that most of the perceived UTx arrogance is borne out of their inbred independence. You can even bust on them for their propensity for independence.
All that being said, I still think that UTx didn't ask to be in the card game, but played their cards correctly once forced into the game. Which team's alumni wouldn't "expect" the same?
Norm ..for one thing, many more officials are elected in Alabama than Ga. ..Judges, PSC, etc. That makes for more offices on which to vote.
Most Ga. primaries aren't contested this time. We'll see ads once we get into the election.
Georgia elects the Insurance Commissioner and if I remember correctly, Alabama appoints. I would imagine that Jet could correct my guess if necessary.
Well he's MILES ahead of the competition! HAHAHAHA!
BP has an idea they think will stop the oil leak Wednesday. They are going to put a big wedding ring on it.
So it will stop putting out? :groan:
Ooooo, you boys are bad!
Hoopie, you are correct in re insurance commissioner.
Jabrian Niles is a very athletic DE, that could develop into a DT... He has good size and very good speed for his size (4.6 40 at 265#)...
He has an impressive offer list and has only been playing D for a year or two... former QB.
He's our first DE commit. I know of at least 3 more very highly regarded DE's that AU has a very good shot at.
This should be a very good DL class!
That's a good one, WTC...
The Powers to Be of HABOTN have spoken....it is now official!
Still wondering where Pat is.
Also will not dignify the wedding ring comment.
Great commitment.
Wedding ring comment right on.
Hahahahaha.
Hoopie ...
Of course, the University of Texas didn't issue a press release saying the SEC was academically inferior.
Often, actions speak as loud as words.
For example, it was obvious that the Omega House didn't want Larry Kroeger and Kent Dorfman as members. They never told them so, they just kept introducing them to Mohammed, Jugdish, Clayton and Sidney, rather than introducing them to the membership of the Omegas, such as Carl Phillips, editor of the Daily Faberian.
The thing about JaBrian is he already has the size. Many of our DEs have come in to small but added the weight while at Auburn. JaBrien is already 260 something, which is a pretty decent size for a DE. He looked very quick in the video I have seen of him. He could turn into a great one.
I hate NL ball, intentional walks suck.
But I don't hate 4 run 1st innings.
When your #1 team plays your #2 team, it makes it kinda hard to watch.
Changing my avatar as a get-well gesture for Buckethead, who is recovering from back surgery.
GET WELL!
http://colleges.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-colleges/national-top-public
Look at these rankings all the way through. I would say the SEC holds it's own in academics. What is the difference in say the 22nd ranked public school and the 39th? I would say probably not much. 8 of the 12 SEC schools rank in the top 64 in the country. That doesn't include Vanderbilt which is private.
If UTx had gone to the PAC10, then maybe academic snobbery could be claimed as part of the motive. I haven't seen anything in the UTx actions that would lead me to conclude that perceived lower academic levels was a reason for them to stay away from the SEC. I heard that issue mentioned plenty of times from sports talking heads, aTm fans, etc.
It's simple ..Texas cornered all of the Cheddar and seemingly held the BIG12 together and can now take credit for doing so. One of the first comments I read on the HABOTN regarding expansion was that it was about the gold. UTx absolutely negotiated and took the option that gave them the most gold. I just can't find any way to read anything else into it.
I can more easily accept the speculation that UTx stayed away from the SEC because the competition would make it tuffer for them to get to the BCSCG and and to keep the SEC further away from Texas recruiting. Those 2 items affect wins and ultimately ...Gold.
I'm with Hoopie, I don't think academics was the reason UT didn't come to the SEC. Had they gone to the big 10 (12) or Pac 10 (11) maybe, but I don't think the Big 12 (10) is an academic conference.
In other news, Crawford just fell rounding 3rd on a liner to left field... and still scored. The guy is nuts.
Is there a reason the Big Not XII Anymore can't just call itself the Southwest Conference and be done with it?
In soccer news, someone has figured out how to digitally filter out the vuvuzelas from the World Cup broadcasts. I'm not sure if that's newsworthy or not, I just like saying "digitally filter my vuvuzelas."
i once saw buckethead perform with col. claypool's bucket of bernie brains. he's only about 7' tall. he did the robot during one extended jam.
the lineup was: les claypool on standup bass, buckethead on guitfiddle, brain on drums, and bernie worrell from pfunk on keys.
all instrumental but it was great (i usually hate jam bands).
my vuvuzela got infected once. it required surgery.
if they can filter out the vuvuzela, they can also increase its volume during the match. crank it up!!! i got a fever and the only cure is more vuvuzela!!! i'll get my fix at 6 am.
its tomorrow now
Over her in the east coast, its been tomorrow (or today?)
Good morning, Hotties! Rise and shine!
80 days til kickoff!
WARRRRRRRRR EAGLE!!!!
GO TIGERS!!!
Morning Hotties. Ready for the weekend...like right now.
Good morning, Some of you get up too early.
Chip your 11:57 post made me not want to eat breakfast.
I don't think academics played a role in expansion at all. I'm tired of hearing others say the SEC is weak academically when they are not.
I'm going to be a grandmother!!! My daughter just called me. I am over the moon excited. Now we just need to pray that little baby stays put until the right time! Due date is the end of February, so he/she will be 6 months old at the first Auburn game. Same age my daughter was at her first game. This pic is of her first game.
Cincy- Congrats on the news!!!That's Great. I know you are uber excited.
Cincy ...
Congrats ... I know you are excited. My sister's middle son and wife have gone through similar experiences that your daughter has and they, too, are expecting. They went on a trip recently for their anniversary, and opened the envelope that revealed that they will have a boy this fall.
Kawakami was way off last night. I hate losing inter-league games. No worries, we'll take the next two.
Awesome Cincy. Sincere congrats!
Congrats Cincy!!!
cincy - congratulations and best of luck to them.
ehyou - when ISN'T Kawakami off? He's off the roster soon. Book it.
Yeah, that ATL game was kind of painful to watch.
Morning, Hotties!
Cincy, that is such good news. Hope all goes well this time.
THT, are you trying to tell me it's #80 MARCEL WILLIS DAY?!
you are?
well happy Marcel Willis day to you too!
it's NILES, not MILES!
congrats Cincy! :)
SOCCER
u mean futbol?
No, Norm requested SOCCER be added to the top about posts about the sport of the handless.
PF - I thank you for your compliance.
Greetings from the BuyMore SuperCenter in Southern Pines, or as we like to say, given the aged population here, Suffering Spines. But they do like to come in and buy their electronic gizmos and jars of Cheese Puffs.
Congrats to Cincy and especially to Cincy's daughter & adopted son!!!
Baby's first AU game will be in 80 days, right?
Scottie B - yes, I believe that's what I was trying to say.
So, you're a Wal-Mart greeter?
for the past week, on different computers, i usually get an error message when i log in to post a comment, and have to re-enter my pw. Any one else experiencing that, or am I just weird...er than usual.
No, PF. With my people skills, they just have me taking out the trash and stocking the shelves. I work the register in emergency situations.
anybody wanna talk about Auburn sports, or am in the wrong place?
We're always up for talking AU sports burnt, just not much happing at the present. We fill in the gaps with mindless chatter.
Which is easy to do considering just how mindless we all are.
AUburn2acrisp- What you got. You are in the middle of drivel season right now.
crisp - welcome! I'm sure you noticed my copy/paste yesterday of the story on AU women's volleball gold medal performance in Italy. I'm trying!!!
btw, someone puh leeeeeeeez tell me when we will have a basketball schedule.
AUcrisp,
Yes, we talk Auburn sports, but we also share happy and sad news here. Stick around, you'll get plenty of AU chatter.
And THT, that baby will be at his or her first Auburn game in a year and 80 days. Unless you know some way to speed up this baby having process :)
cool Tar Heel, i didn't see that, i'll check it out.
what do y'all think about what Jay Jacobs has done at AU? i'm incredibly impressed
Jay Jacobs is on fire right now. One of the best AD's in the league IMO. It is still too early to judge his hires, but the enthusiasm that has been brought to all the major sports programs is unbelievable. Auburn fans now have a reason to be excited year round, and you cannot ask for much more.
crisp - welcome to the insanity.
JJ certainly has had his detractors here in the early days but it's tough to say that his hires aren't on the right track. Barbee is yet to prove anything but he seems to be off to a good start.
I have always liked JJ, but a little over a year ago, I thought he was in over his head. What a difference a year makes! I'm with Eddie, it may be too early to judge his hires, but the enthusiasm is over the top.
ditto.
Eddie & Norm - you make me feel like I'm caught in a SFC vortex.
Speaking of Auburn, did anyone else see where the almost abandoned Big12-2 schools (K,KS,MO,IS,Baylor) agreed to forfeit their portions of the $20million that Colorado and Nebraska (collectively) will pay as exit fee? Holy cow. How much more can they humiliate themselves? Does all that $20million goes to OU, OSU, TAMU, TX, and TT? The article didn't elaborate.
THT - please refrain from referencing me and SFC in the same post. While you're at it, please also don't reference me with Jet. You know my disdain for him and my plot for his ultimate downfall.
THT- Makes sense. It helped keep them in a viable conference instead of treading water in conference USA or some such. The fact is that the Big 12-2 is a weak ass conference that can be bullied by one team. Give it time, it will collapse at some point. Also, Texas will regret the day that it can no longer bully others into doing what they want. The fact that OU went along with it is shoking. They pretty much decided to bend over.
The idea of a Steve vortex scares me silly.
i was also a huge skeptic of JJ's capacity to be a successful AD, especially after hiring chizik!! but i guess that's why i'm not making hiring and firing decisions at a major athletic dept. - there are people like Jacobs that are far better at it than i am! i got to personally thank him for a job well done (so far) at the second to last game of the AU regional. what a game.
damn i hope baseball keeps up that hot streak.
Maybe TX and ND should form their own conference.
THT- They should...one could have NBC and the other could have PBS.
AUCrisp,
I hope they can keep it up also, but I wonder with them having so many players drafted how the team will look next year. Great that so many were drafted though. Do we know how many are actually going to leave?
I've always liked JJ. I was disappointed when he didn't hire Gill, but I knew he had much greater qualifications than I did to make that decision. Will he make the right decisions every time. Not as long as he remains human.
btw, where is DL? I wonder if he's aiming a few missiles at Sao Paulo this morning. If so, I sure hope he'll avoid collateral damage to my favorite Brazilian city, Americana.
Welcome crisp.
Congrats Cincy!! February 19th would be a good day for you to become a grandmother.
JJ is a very underrated AD. He is still learning but he has Auburn going in the right direction. We have 3 coaches that have shown they are ready to take AU to the next level. We have a brand new BB facility that rivals any in the country and there is major talk of a 100yd indoor practice facility for football. That's on top of improvements that have already been made. He has shown and ability to get the fan base fired up and put Auburn right there with the big boys in facilities. It's Great To Be An Auburn Tiger.
Thanks, CH=B, I'll let Kathryn know that is the date to shoot for :)
Things are fine on the banks of the Coosa River.
All is well in Muddville.
Congratulations cincy and daughter. These are truely happy days.
Jacobs was on my hit list back when he hired Chiz. shows what little I know about hiring coaches.
Early recruiting going well.
I will say that JJ has started to change my mind. His hires, for this year at least, have saved him. If Chizik had not won many games and Pawloski's team had not gotten to the SEC tourney, some of us would be questioning his decisions. I like the direction, but I still need to see more.
I would like to see a revamping of the football schedule so AU plays big name opponents.
To be with the big dogs, you have to play the big dogs. (Outside the SEC)
as long as it isn't the first game of the season.
you know what's always good at the BuyMore?
THT knows....
it's a....
BEASLEY!!!!!!!
and a HELLO KENNESAW GEORGIA!
superb, Scottie B!!!
Crisp - it don't get no more Auburn than... BEASLEY!!!
it's the only way to celebrate Marcel Willis Day THT.
WTC, I agree and disagree. When you play in the SEC your schedule is tough enough. The past few years we have had 1 good opponent per year outside the SEC. I don't like playing D2 schools but I don't think we need 4 big time games. I like 1 a year with 3 ok teams after that.
Do we have a home/home set up after Clempson?
CHB- GT home and away and at K State.
Jet's Executive Orders:
Crispy Critter is hereby welcomed.
Norm is hereby reappointed to the Axis of Evil another three-year term. He's like the Bobby Lowder or Bobby Bowden of the Axis of Evil. He'll never leave voluntarily.
AU should play one BCS non-conference opponent per year, plus three gimmes (preferably not I-AA teams).
McNeese St on the 2012 schedule, but I doubt it's a home and home
;-)
2011 nonconf = Clempson, FAU, Samford, Utah State, not in that order
We do not have to play 4 tough non conference games each year. And I am OK with playing Arky State for homecoming. But I am not for playing Samford, The Citadel, Furman and their like all in the same year.
I do not want to play OK, Texas and USC in the same year. BUt AU just needs to get a better reputation (IMO) outside of the conference. We already looked at our record away from home (non bowl games) with BCS schools. It is horrible. 1 win since about 1990. AU doesn't have to do it all in one year, but besides winning, you have to market yourself and I think you need to get outside your comfort zone to do that. Play neutral site games. Do something outside the box.
Apparently Chris Low wrote and article that said the SEC is now UF/UA and then everyone else. P. Marshall wrote a good rebuttal today. Yeah those two have played for back to back SEC championships but two years doesn't mean domination. The SEC is however dominated by 6 schools and it runs in cycles.
Just curious how many schools have, or whoever does the contacting, have contacted AU to play in a neutral site game since we did not tak the UCLA game in ATL. Not saying AU should ahve taken it, but in marketing, perception is everything and if AU is perceived as not wanting to play in those games, it may be a while before they get called again. For me, it was great opporntunity to show off AU, but I do nto want to cover old territory here by arguing that point. I am right and that is all that matters to me.
I am out for a wile. I will check in later.
a big problem is that AU appears to be determined to have 8 home games, if not every year, at least every year Iron Bowl is in T'town.
That does not lend itself to more than one "home and home" opponent/yr, and it's virtually impossible to get anything but the Samford's of the world to come to AU without AU promising to go "there."
Maybe I am mistaken but I think when someone says home/home that means you play one at home and then the other team gets a home game the next year or future years. We just recently played a home/home with WVU and Clempson is a home/home.
Going forward, I concur that we are ready for such neutral site games and suspect we'll take one in 2012, if we can.
Obviously, it can't be in a year where we already have a road non-conference game, such as 2011 because that would reduce us to 6 home games, which is not tenable.
Cincy ..congrats. We'll keep the fingers and toes crossed along with some prayers.
THT ...I now must sign in everytime I open the HABOTN. The blogger "stay siged in" feature ain't working for me.
That's too bad about Norm and the axis of evil. He had come so far...
Ditto on all the JJ comments.
The HABOTNites are handing the doldrums and keeping up the chatter pretty well. Of course the USuCk penalties and expansion have made that easier.
...now back to work.
if we went to 7 home games EVERY year, and not just the home Iron Bowl years, we could have 2 legit non-conf. opponents each year, one at home, one on the road. Unless we relinquish the "must have 8 home games in non-bama years" mentality, we will always have 3 cream puffs on the schedule.
How many millions does AU make on that 8th home game against a cream puff? It's hard to argue against it froma financial standpoint.
speaking of AU sports, what is our outlook on the AU cross country teams for this fall. Can we improve on our mediocre seasons from last year?
and what's the purpose of having cross country teams if they aren't going to have any home meets? Think of the millions of dollars of lost revenue there!
And only 4 regular season meets? Please. That's barely enough for a preseason.
2009 AU Cross Country Schedule&Results for the one of you who may be interested.
that Pre-Nationals meet was horrible. that can't have a repeat of that poor performance in 2010!
THT, you've got a lot to learn about the nuances and finer points of cross country.
cross country was my sport, ehyou. By nuances, if you mean watching for trip lines in the woods, yes I learned that. Thankfully, I learned it two strides in advance.
Auburn Should Be 2003 National Champion Article
i thought you were off watching futbol Eddie.
I'll settle for 2004, Eddie.
2003 might be asking a bit much
;-)
In between matches Scottie....but I've definitely been enjoying the futbol and the Jay's WC Blog. Today's matches so far have been outstanding.
BTW- I was offered 2 scholarship level season tickets for $2,200 for this season. Wish I could have afforded to grab them. Oh well.
Quick drive by. I've been scanning through all the comments:
Cincy, Congratulations to you and your family! Grandparenting is all the great things you have heard, plus some!
Crisp, welcome! This site is great for all things Auburn, with additional comments regarding puppets, mapping, countdowns, music, etc. Great group of folks here. Mr. Tate does a great job.
I agree with the comments on Jacobs. I thought he was in over his head, but he has pleasantly surprised me. I'm thinking that the economy and loss of power by some has helped his situation.
I am so ready for some football!
Yes...THT, 2004 was far more deserving than 2003 :). Dang Typos. OF course, I think that may be how bama claimed some of their championships.
i ventured over to the futbol blog earlier. i feel dirty.
Eddie keeping the hate alive!
Everyone take notice, and keep up the hate!!!
did anyone on here discuss last week about Leonarado Carson getting busted for selling drugs? if so i missed it. what a way to follow up your NFL career!
i went once a week or so ago just to say hi. I don't want to intrude on their party, so I'll just hang out here.
Scottie- He was busted for that way over a year ago. If you knew Leo, which I think you may have, then you are not surprised.
Soccer would be the most awesome sport in the world if you could use you hands and tackle. The kicking is cool and trying to get the ball in the goal (past a goalie) is also cool. The other parts not so much. If you could catch and tackle there would be more action. When I watch it's the same thing over and over.
The clock rules and all that could stay the same and the game wouldn't be stopped after a catch or a tackle unless the ball was tied up for too long.
maybe what i read Eddie was that he was finally sentenced. i don't remember. yeah, i wasn't surprised at all. what a shame. speaking of the late 90's, any clue what Charles Dorsey (Oooh-La) is up to now?
CH=B- Time to expand your horizons then. The sport rocks, but you have to be open to liking it to begin with instead of carrying in the american preconceived notions that most do.
Scottie- Probably eating competitions. I actually have no idea, but i'm going to go out on a limb and say the guy weights at least 380. Oh La loves to eat. Good guy, even if he single handily cost us the 96 UGA game.
96 GEORGIA....you made my stomach hurt. i guess it's my own fault, though. ick.
Scottie B - you need to pay attention. Some truly outstanding Hottie ;-) mentioned here it last week.
if only i knew who that was THT. then i could shower him in praise. oh, well. i guess it'll remain a mystery.
well..thanks, Eddie. MrsTHT packed me a HUGE lunch and I was only able to eat half. Thanks to you bringing up '96 UGa, something else was brought up and I can now eat the other half of my lunch.
just remember 2005 in Athens. that should help.
THT- I'm just looking out for your health.
BTW- Better WR this season...
Kodi Burns or LSU's Russell Shepard?
But don't remember any other UGA games after 2005...that won't help one bit.
well, Scottie, the Hottie wasn't that outstanding. He or she only mentioned it via an obtuse link. He or she was too embarrassed for Auburn to spell it out on HABOTN.
Eddie, I like the think that I am pretty opened minded. I mean I will eat green stuff now and I wouldn't have in years past. Seriously though, I have tried to watch it and It just doesn't appeal to me. It probably has something to do with growing up in south Alabama. I didn't know what soccer was when I was younger. Also I don't find anything wrong with America's notions. What are you Russian?
Kodi Burns
I remember discussing '96 AU v UGA last week but I'm far from outstanding so I can't remember who else was discussing it. Other than the abysmal way the game turned out, I seem to recall that it was the first OT game played after the rule was enacted. Am I right in that recollection?
I eat green stuff, too. But that doesn't mean I have to like it.
Norm- You are. Of course, the game should have never gone to OT.
i want to apologize to #80 Rod Smith. i almost forgot it is his day too.
i know his house burnt down. is all well with him & his family now? it has been a year or so since that happened.
not sure, Norm. It was certainly AU's first OT game. As late in the season as it was, I'd be quite surprised if it was the first OT game.
'96 AU-UGA was the 1st OT game in SEC history if i recall.
Sorry...first OT game for sure, I was part of it. Made history in a bad way...yuck.
ahah!
it was Eddie's fault! not Dorsey's!!!!
We didn't play UGA in 1996, so I don't know what y'all are talking about.
Now the 1997 and 1999 affairs were pretty swell, those were the first 2 times I had been to Sanford.
silly me. I forgot that there is no football outside the SEC.
those were fun games ehyou. i was there as well. also saw 01 & 09 in person there.
OMG!! The Mullets are really gonna do it. Lil' Nicky's statue is set for unveiling in mid-August...snort..
Wouldn't it be more "classy" to do a statue after $aban is done coaching ....oh wait ...that's right ..Bammers have a subconscious fear that he will still leave them for other pastures ...so hurry up with that statue ....hahaha
I am a former soccer hater turned admirer. Of course, it took ElTurbo to play on the school team for five years for it to sink in.
I can't say I follow the English Premier League or anything like that, but I'll watch a random MLS match, and will watch as much of the Cup as my schedule allows.
It took me two seasons to appreciate the movement, the angles, the rules, and the ability it takes to play the sport.
Often times, people bemoan the lack of scoring in the game and they say there's a lot of standing around. That could apply to baseball. Or even my favorite sport of football, in which I love a well-played low-scoring game, such as our 7-3 win over LSU in 2006.
I must be getting soft as I exit middle age. I'm starting to like NASCAR. Maybe it's that I'd rather watch sports on TV than have to talk to my family.
I'm fairly certain that it was the first OT in all D-1. I'm so certain that I'm willing to wager your $ on it.
'96 sucked mightily since Beta-Wife told me over the phone while I was working out of town that when I returned home there'd be a lot less stuff in my house.
'96 sucked mightily also due to the just mentioned AU/UGA game.
'96 sucking was improved by the eventual meeting of she who would become Hot Wife.
'96 was my first year on the Plains.
i'll never forget Dennis Riddle running right at me in endzone with seconds to go. if i ever see him in person i'm punching him in the face.
In '96, I was busy not talking to girls in the 8th grade.
Thank you for your donation, Norm.
Toledo played in 2 OT games before AU & GA.
1995 Las Vegas Bowl (OT rule went into effect after '95 regular season, before bowls) was their first. They also had OT game in October of 1996.
'96 was right in the middle of:

"Thou shalt not have any idols before me"
I pirated that Pickens link from EDSBS. They are predictably on a roll with the expansion stuff.
Norm- I agree that it wasn't the first OT game of college football, just saying it was for Auburn and the SEC.
Eddie - I guess I was confused, it happens to me daily. First OT in the SEC, got it.
THT - the very next time I see you, I'll buy you an ice cream.
Norm, since you're taking orders, i'd like a large cherry lemonade from Toomer's please.
Scottie - no can do. Though I am sending one of my peeps to the area again tomorrow to do some work at E. Alabama Med. Center. I couldn't make the previous trip there since I had to be in Pennsylvania at the time. Dangit.
Norm - according to the wager, you should buy me that ice cream with my money. Is that a deal?
Strasburg
Well those were the terms of the wager true enough but I may just feel generous and open up my wallet at that time.
If it's in print, it's got to be true.
I'll take a fresh fruit strawberry slushy from Sonic.
by the time y'all get back from Sonic, I'll be in Long Commute Mode, on my way back from Southern Pines to the Southern Part of Heaven.
today is mrs. scottie's birthday so i've got to take her to the 'Sushi Spot' after work. luckily they've got hibachi that's pretty good.
ummmmm...Wasabi ....good
Hibachi was my nickname on the court back in the day.
The line between not enough wasabi and too much is razor thin.
You'd better believe you know when you've crossed it though.
i stick to the soup (minus the mushrooms), chicken, and steamed rice.
Fillet and shrimp. I love the rice. I think my stomach exploded one time because of all of the rice they gave me.
No such thing as too much Wasabi. However, two glasses of ice water and some spare napkins strongly recommended.
We have been abandon for futbol. The big bully on the play ground was known as "The Goose"
So Texas should have a new name and say "peck em hard" not "hook em horns."
Checking in.......Congrats Cincy!! I will pray for a cool game to take the baby to as I can hardly stand to see all those babies at the HOT games!! And right now in the south it is HOT!!
Guess that's why burnt2acrsip is now an official HOTTIE!!
Hibachi is actually a pretty cool nick. Unusual.
digger, I think you are right.....we are second banana right now.
"Ala. professor charged in campus slayings indicted in Mass. in brother's 1986 shooting death".
It appears justice isn't blind. It is just a little slow.
SFC, it's because I was on fire.
digger, we can all keep this thing going without homer (for a short time that is). We broke the Jabrian commitment yesterday.
By the way...who in the heck names their kid Ja-anything?
you were literally on fire? POOF!
From now on Norm is know as JaNorm.
They had to keep fire extinguishers behind the bench.
I know we can keep this going but it is nice to know the Pied Piper is there playing his tune.
CHB...
Or was because you were getting eaten for lunch.
Jeff Long issues statement confirming Arkansas has no interest in any other league except the SEC
I had read some people speculating Arkansas would jump to the Big12, although how anyone would think that is beyond me. How many people were looking to climb aboard the Titanic as it was going down?
The Ja and La prefixes are very popular these days. I have no clue why, but I am glad the kid is on board.
I misread THT's post ... after his trip to Sonic, I thought he said he would be in Long Commode Mode.
The Hibachis was the name of our intramural basketball team at AU. It had nothing to do with Japanese grill. It came from one of our teammates greeting to anyone. For example,
Boof: Hibachi THT?
THT: I'm great, Boof. Hibachu?
"Boof" is another story.
I thought that when I typed it, Jet.
update:
q: where da gold at?
a: utah
they got more out of all this conference realignment than anyone. even utx. utx was fine before and is finer now, but utah easily gained the most ground from where they were to where they are now.
at least utah won't get stuck playing the dingus turds in the sugar bowl if they are undefeated at year's end.
and how do i know the turds won't be undefeated? they are in the direct path of the gus bus. AU was just easing into the new machine last year. now we know what it can do and have cap'n newton at the wheel.
CH=B,
That thing you described earlier as fixes to soccer is called Rugby, but without the goal (not sure if it's League or Union that allow kicking to advance the ball).
Where's Norm?
I went shopping all day and didn't buy one single baby item! Although there are some adorable Auburn baby outfits!
I'm sneaking in a page flip before Norm gets back
