DAY ONE: Wrappin' it up
Hey everyone. The first day of puffery and inanity has ended. What was worthwhile?
I'm glad you asked.
I'm glad you asked.
- Nick Saban referring to predatory agents as "pimps."
- Mississippi State coach Dan Mullen responding to indirect criticism from Saban about the spread offense (favored by MSU) not helping players develop NFL skills. ``I've coached the spread offense and I've had a lot more first-round quarterbacks drafted than he has in his career as head coach."
- Commissioner Mike Slive discussing new Tennessee coach Derek Dooley and noting that his "predecessor left to return to his western roots." It was a humorous, though diluted, shot at Lane Kiffin.
- Florida coach Urban Meyer also taking an indirect shot at Kiffin by praising Dooley as a "high-character" guy ... and how that's a "nice change."
- Mississippi State coach Dan Mullen saying he'd be happy to expand Scott Field ... as soon as they generate enough fan support to fill the current capacity.
- Florida offensive lineman Mike Pouncey, whose brother allegedly took a payment after the SEC Championship game last year, saying the allegation "ruined someone's name" and seemed sullen about the whole thing.

E-Bro, which kind of #2 QB are you referring to? If you are talking about the kid who comes in the 4 quarter trailing Georgia by 4 points because CAM has been knocked out, I say Caudle. If you are talking about the kid who comes in the 3rd quarter with a 28 point lead over Furman, I don't know.
There are a lot of courteous runners Norm. I was complaining about the oblivious ones. There are some obnoxious bikers as well who will run someone over rather than slow down. For the most part though, we manage to share the trails safely.
Congrats to Mr and Mrs scottie b!
API...I guess I'm talking about QB2 in your first scenario, but I kind of hope QB2 is just that all the time. Interested to see how Fall camp goes for all the guys behind Cam.
Congrats to the Scottie Bs!
Congrats to me for having HABOTN access in the big house! And no, I'm not talking about Ann Arbor.
and congrats to Cincytiger who gets to go to AUBURN today!
thanks for the luv hotties. much appreciated.
NoVa - definitely true. Once last year, there was a large group of young Boy Scouts on bikes on the trail. They were broken up into many smaller groups of 2 or 3 each and there were a few adults mixed in there as well. I saw a group of 3 boys come upon an older couple who were walking on the trail. 2 of the boys managed to successfully pass the couple but the 3rd boy didn't due to bikers or runners coming in the opposite direction. He wound up literally running over the woman knocking her to the ground. She wasn't really injured but I'm sure it wasn't pleasant. She hollered at that boy at the top of her lungs and I could still hear her 1/4 mile away. I felt bad for both of them but I did chuckle just a little bit.
oh, and mrs. scottie got me NCAA11 for my ps3 for our anniversary. how cool is that? i guess she doesn't want to see me for a while. ha.
Mrs. Seanzie would never buy me a new video game, lest I monopolize the television further.
Such actions by myself lead to compromise situations where I have to watch, erm, interesting shows. That said, she might just spring for a new game...a conundrum.
New thread UPZ.
Let's DEW this.
Scottie, congrats on 4! The missus and I will be celebrating 3 in 2 weeks.
