GameDay location now settled
The crew will be telecasting from the east of Jordan-Hare Stadium, near the intersection of Roosevelt and Duncan Drive. That's on the Allison Physics Lab lawn.
The show will air live on Saturday from 9-11 a.m. There will also be live and taped segments Friday from 3-4:30 p.m. and SportsCenter segments live at 8 a.m. Saturday.
I noticed that Desmond Howard now is a full-time guy on that show, which illustrates how clueless I am about these matters. I thought it was a three-man rotation of Kirk Herbstreit, Lee Corso and former Scholastic Sports America host Chris Fowler.
So ... sorry, Des.

hope we have a large enthusiastic crowd
Jay have you gone to the AU section of al.com lately? They had an article about an AL RB commit, another about two players that we recruited but signed with Oregan, and another about the Dean of students sending an email about not booing the team. WTF??? Could that have anything to do with the shouting altercation concerning the writer at the press conference?
This is the email that Dean Green sent out to the students. He sent out a similar email last season after a game in which Brandon Cox was booed by the student section. It should be obvious why this isn't good. First, we should(and most do) have more class than that. Also it does not bode well for recruiting if potentials think that they wont be respected here. I am sure there will be several big time recruits that will be here this weekend.
Dear Auburn Student,
I wanted to remind each of you about the importance of your support for our team and displaying character this weekend when L.S.U. fans and other guests arrive this weekend. First, please join me by agreeing to demonstrate your support for, and not criticism of, our football team. That means no booing! Remember, the team isn't trying to lose the game--the players work hard all spring and during fall camp to be ready to compete in the S.E.C. Let's show our appreciation for their hard work by encouraging them with loads enthusiasm! Secondly, help me show the world what I get to experience everyday: that Auburn men and women are special, dedicated, loyal, fun loving, bleed orange and blue, are compassionate, and demonstrate good will to others, even our competitors.
ESPN Game Day will be in town this weekend and we need everyone to come out and show them how much we support our team. Let's show Chris Fowler, Kirk Hebstreit, Lee Corso and Desmond Howard true fan support and loyalty for Auburn!
The nation will be watching the next two weeks (ESPN, CBS next week), and lets remember to have a great time, enjoy the weekend's activities, watch our language and behavior, and display class, taste, and character in everything we do. I have every confidence you will.

Students
And for general FYI, Dean Green played football for Auburn back in the 80's and he is pretty much awesome at what he does. He is definately worthy of being a HOTTIE. The students at Auburn, myself included, have nothing but respect and admiration for him.
Sweet looking weather report for Saturday night. 20% chance of showers and cool 62 degrees. Real football weather baby.
Guess I need to go buy an AU sweatshirt.
Dean Green is great. He's a pastor at one of the local churchs. When I was an undergrad he was finishing his PhD and he was involved with some college ministries. I dont know if he current job allows him or his church to work that closely with those ministries now.
Thanks for sharing, Caleb.
I'll post that to the main blog.
aubigcat: The shouting thing has nothing to do with any of that. I promise.
Jay,
Why is the Media in the State so hung up on the Offensive production of Auburn and calling this a failure of the Spread 3 games into the season. I for one don't see it that way, still need to cut down on penalties and turnovers and convert in the "Redzone" and people would be singing a different tune.
This is the first year of the offense and still things need to shake out but i think it gets going this weekend.
Becasue the media in Alabama is Pro-Tide and they cling to every moral victory they can get these days.
I dont get it either AUinMotown.
I've asked several of my Bama fans the same question. Where was all the talk about Bama's new OC when they couldnt put up more than 170 yards against Tulane?
sorry, fans = friends.
Hip-Hop I'm sure you have Bama fans as well. I mean everyone loves Hip-Hop!
