Second quarter, AU 14-3
- AUBURN 14, LSU 3: Gabe McKenzie returns an interception 24 yards for a touchdown. It was a bizarre play. Auburn only had 10 guys on the field. Mike Blanc came on late, but was in the right flat when the play began. LSU quarterback Jarrett Lee double-clutched the pass. I don't know why. He floated it toward Keiland Williams. McKenzie was there and ran it in. Easy.
- AUBURN 7, LSU 3: Big-time drive right there. Eight plays for 69 yards. Chris Todd hit Tim Hawthorne on a deep route on third down. I was expecting a draw. Drive included six runs (27 yards) and two passes (one completed for 28) ... also a pass interference penalty.
- LSU on 3rd down: 1 for 6
- AUB on 3rd down: 2 for 6
- Auburn rushed for one yard during the first quarter.

Great play by Powers.
I thought he might snag that one.
Yeah, he got a mit on it.
Nice gain.
Memories of Brandon Cox...
Big hit Ben!
Great run!
What?
Close call...
Nice "answer" drive.
Your thoughts Jay G.?
finally, a FB and a touchdown inside the 5........war eagle!!
Yea. That was a big-time drive.
Chris Todd may not be much better than last week, but he's playing with more verve.
I'll take verve.
Won Brandon Cox and Auburn a lot of games.
Big stop
Badly overthrown
That was a really poor INT play, though Robert Dunn's weak route may have had something to do with it.
They didn't look like they weren't on the same page.
We are way on the short end of field position it seems.
i'd call that pick up to weak arm trying to float something to get the ball out there without a major underthrow.....just wish he didnt have a wet noodle for a right arm......
His arm strength certainly isn't helping matters.
Jay G.,
We seem to be running a lot of plays from the Trips to one side look.
It's been successful, but I wonder if we can find success in other formations as well.
Is that all about getting the fast defense to flow one way and come back the other?
He was setting up a series of draws there. Franklin probably is trying to get LSU thinking about that, though I'm not sure he's quite enough of a threat considering this team's defensive speed.
auburn played that drive not to lose.....
Ok. Thanks.
Big play by Gabe!
what a pick!
I'll be surprised if we see J. Lee again.
Can anyone think of another AU player to score both an offensive td and a defensive td in there career in the last 50 years?
Maybe Jay Ratliff?
Nice AFLAC Trivia question Anonymous.
