what is the deal with Ensminger Jay. I mean comments like this when asked about Kodi's starting job,
“If I feel like we’re struggling a little bit, we’ll do what’s best for this offense,” Ensminger said. “Right now, it’s his and he knows it. He knows there’s some things he’s got to improve on to make us better.” I know you've posted it once already but my goodness. Kodi seems like a pretty stable kid though so maybe he can prove ensminger wrong. Two questions:
Will Tubberville fire any of those assitants? I read preseason how close they all are but man business is business. A point I am quickly learning is you gotta turn that buddy mentality off when it comes to the job.
Do you think the assitants are the problem? I think CTT has been a good coach but if he would have surround himself with a better staff he could have been great. Look at me talking in the past tense..didnt even mean to do that..funny how I can think that I dont want CTT fired but in my head he already is. Ensminger has been raised to first on my list of coaches that need to go.right now all I got is him and knox. who else should be on that list?

Question...
What is the dealeo with the QB drill where someone tosses them the football underhand they dance like they're on hot coals for 45 seconds and then throw the ball 7 yards like a little girl. I've been seeing that same practice footage since spring ball. maybe we should try some different QB drills...like passing out-of-bounds.

Auburn running the wishbone would be brilliant. We have no receivers, We have only a qb that can run and we have many rbs. What is there not to like.
Throw Tray in there with his cast and we are off and running.

Seriously on the QB drill, isn't that the drill that QB's use to practice dropping back?
We are in the spread for heaven's sake and 90% gun. No dropping back required.

I am absolutely certain Tuberville will be the coach at Auburn next year, unless he is fired. I really don't expect that to happen.
We are going through a transition year. The idea of changing to a new offense when we also lost our experienced QB to graduation might not have been great, but I think CTT is correct that the spread is the future. Heck, watch the Oklahoma/Texas game. This offense isn't a fad.
My guess is we see some improvement this week. I do believe Kodi can develop into an outstanding quarterback.
I also believe Todd can be a solid starter if his arm strength improves. Unfortunately, any QB that can't perform because he got his feelings hurt when another QB got playing time shouldn't be the starter.
I am not as down on this Auburn team as many seem to be. I see potential. I see youth. I see us with the potential to improve significantly the rest of the season. It wouldn't surprise me if we didn't loose another game before we play UGA.
I would be surprised if we beat UGA, but CTT has always shown he can surprise us at any time.
As for the Bama game, we need to wait and see. Bama has looked unstoppable at times, but very stoppable at others. They have also proven to be very giving in November. We will just have to see.

I listened to AMos and Josh Tuesday coming back from Destin. Pretty good show.
I thought Josh was a little mushy; but, Amos was strong. Only time I have ever heard them, so it was difficult to tell.

Wes-That's a footwork drill. The udnerhead pass to them is the snap and get this...them dancing around is them moving their feet and going thru their reads and then they are told to throw it full Chris Todd arm strenth throw.

I always think Auburn can win and get mad when they don't but until I see a reason to believe they can score enough points I can't pick em to win. I admire your positive outlook on it, however I've seen nothing from Kodi that shows me he could turn into an "outstanding" QB.
Maybe it's because he hasn't been given a chance, maybe it's the nerves or maybe it's just all of that unfullfilled potential, but I just haven't seen it on the field when he has played.

I have absolutely no inside info and wouldn't repeat it if I did.....this sounds too much like the "CTT is gone to aTm or Ark" rumors last Fall.
Of course you ARE in the Gump, which is close to the most likely and stronges "force" to want CTT gone.
Is your hunch based on info that is coming out of AU or the Gump?

I just watched the Kodi interview and have seen it in other practice video, the foot chopping, do other spread qbs do that? Is that only CTF that taught that? i'm sure this has been asked before and I just missed it. I ask because it doesn't seem normal/natural for effective passing. I've coached a little in the past and it seems like wasted motion. Is that something still being taught?
