We are #1
Nice work, WEG.
At least we finished first in something this year! Maybe the Equestrian Team will bring back a trophy!
I won't make my Monicaesque comment about the swim team since y'all will give me a hard time. I'll just say I like their shirts.
Every once in a while, I am numero uno!!
You're always numero uno to us, WEG!

That is pretty amazing about Coach Quick...did not know that. Jay you are a fount of information!
Limited to mobile, but had to say well done to swim/dive team.
Today, we're the greatest ever!
Glad you snuck in enough work to recognize AU's world-class swim team.
Congrats to the team on their hard work to get back on top and continue the dynasty in the sport.
War Damn Eagle!

wfe!!!!!!
Congrats to Coach Quick and the buoys! And the boys, too!
GOALLL!!!!!!
i am impressed!
okay, since my bracket is officially dead, I just can't get into basketball anymore
it was definitely a perfect day for swimming...now on to football and baseball
The USA played harder and had more opportunities in stoppage time than the whole 90 minutes of play. That is why I think soccer is boring. They just putz around for so long. It's like watching an NBA regular season game.
I tuned in time to see the goal, and then the rest of the way.
I can understand your position, PF.
Man, what a feeling to have a world class program with such world class athletes.
"When you're in the evaluation stages, you've got to be patient. I'm not very patient, but I've gotta be."
-Gus after Saturday morning's practice
That comment spells bench for Kodi PF
All quiet on the HABOTN front.
Who picked Villanova to make the final four?
well i think jhag did
Unfortunately, I had Pitt.
I have UConn winning it all.
I have the other No. 1s as well.
I win again?
TED ROOF RUSTED ...

"I don’t evaluate talent with the media. We are what we are and
we’re going to work to get the talent that we do have better and to acquire more talent. That’s our policy."
May be a tough season for Jay G and the Hacks
Hey i'm new on the scene.Wanted to to say hi and war eagle to everyone. This is great for Auburn to continue its dominence in the swim and diving program.Great job Coach Quick.
Jet,
I could barely hear him speaking on Andy Bitter's video. It sounded like he was whispering when he was asked about Eltoro...
dynasty
Coach Boone says, "Let's go! Let's go! Let's go! Let's go!"
Welcome to the HABOTN, Pado.
Good morning hotties! Anything new expected for today?
CANNONBALL!!!
Well done, AU swimming and diving team! WDE!
Good morning, Seanzie.
Congrats to the Swim and Dive team at AU! This is quite a dominant run they're on.
War Eagle!
I guess Tigers really can swim? War Damn Eagle!!!!
Happy Sunday Hotties!! Great season for the AU Swim team. They are a true modern day dynasty. People should write books and make movies about this program.

Concratulations to THE Auburn swimming and diving team
What is a Seanzie?
I can see why, WTC! What a beautiful girl!
Digger - Sean's sister calls him Seanzie. So, Luv and I said we were going to start calling him that too.
Mon-Thanks. I knew you would appreciate the photo. My wife posted a few from last night on FB if you care to see them.
Enough of that stuff though. My bracket got busted last night, so it is on the football. What do you guys interpret Malzahn's comment to say?
Thanks Monica
I made up a bracket but did not join in due to my very bad failures in years gone by.
I am so happy my years of wisdom prevailed, it was embarressing.
WTC - I can't see the pics because they aren't on your Facebook. I want to see!
HAHA Digger - Well you can't be GREAT at everything! ;-)
JGT,
How involved is Coach Quick? I know it is not good but is even able to be around the program. What a great send off for him.
wtc - which Malzahn comment?
So there's no rooms on the athletic complexes...no chains, no hats, no earing...I like it Chizik

So does this mean the end of the days when the coach says a player isn't all that good after he has a good game?
Auburn leads 1-0 after 1. Hunter Morris doubled, the got knocked in by Tony Caldwell
Taylor Thompson pitching for Auburn today.
VCU has Lebo on their list of canidates...take him.
What is your favorite work out/running music?
2 Run Ding Dong by Trent Mummey makes it a 3-0 ballgame after 2.
Louisville is good.
Cograt's to the dog paddle club!!! That is something those kids will take with them for the rest of their lives....

3-0 Auburn after 3. Hunter Morris put himself in scoring position with a leadoff double. Caldwell SAC bunted him to 3rd, but consecutive strikeouts by Ben Jones and Fletcher left him on 90 feet short of home.
Taylor Thompson gave up a 2-out, 2-run homer to bring Vandy within one run.
Auburn answered with a solo Ding Dong by Kevin Patterson. Hargett walked, got moved to second on a Trent Mummey ground out, then scored on a single by Joe Sanders.
5-2 Auburn after 4 innings.
Ben Jones draws a one out walk and is hit in by a Brian Fletcher DingDong.
Auburn 7 Vandy 2 after 5.
Chris O'Neil replaces Taylor Thompson on the mound after TT put the first two batters of the 6th on base.
Oh, and Kyle Busch just went a few laps down after blowing a couple of tires.
Ok, been out for a while:
Mon-I posted the photos for all to see.
Here is the post from E Woodbury in speaking with Malzahn:
Auburn practiced in full pads for the first time and engaged in the first 11-on-11 work of the spring on a rainy and gray Saturday morning. Burns started with the first team before Caudle shuffled in. Offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn cautioned against drawing too many conclusions from the brief scrimmage-like atmosphere.
"We had a third-down situation for the first time and we actually did some good things and got past the chains. Then we kind of lost the momentum," Malzahn said. "When you're rotating that many people, there's going to be some good and there's going to be some bad. The good thing from a coach's standpoint is we get to evaluate our guys. When you're in evaluation stages, you've got to be patient. I'm not very patient, but I've got to be."
He didn't share what he learned from the evaluation.
"There's nothing like when those live bullets are coming at you," he said
Was wondering what he is thinking here?
PF-I could take KB having a DNF.
O'Neil lasts one pitch, giving up a double that scored one for Vandy. Michael Hurst now on the mound for Auburn.
3 runs scored by Vandy during the sixth off three different Auburn pitchers.
Auburn 2nd baseman joins today's Ding Dong club with a solo shot to center field (his third on the season).
3 batters later, Hunter Morris decides he wants in on the action. 2-run Ding Dong to right-center, scoring Joe Sanders from second base.
10-5 Auburn after 6!
PF-looks like we are going to need all the long balls today.
watching Rudy on AMC. always a good movie.
with the 5 DingDongs so far today, the 58 this year is tied for 7th in school history. Not even halfway though the season yet!
Vandy's leadoff hitter reaches on a double. Next batter flies to Hunter Morris, but the ball is dropped (E-3), which leads to Austin Hubbard coming in to replace Hurst on the mound.
Vandy scored 1 run in the inning.
Mummey Singled, then stole two bases to put himself in position to score on a Caldwell single.
11-6 Auburn after 8
Hubbard strikes out the first batter, gets the second to line out, gives up two consecutive doubles, a single, and a homer which scored four runs, before getting out of the inning on a ground ball to SS.
Final Auburn 12 Vanderbilt 11
Seems that AU has NO bullpen. Good thing we can hit.
Postgame analysis from the baseball win:
Auburn's pitching continues to struggle. With the run support, they were able to win, but it has to be disconcerting to Pawloski and Staff to see so many mistakes leading to runs for the oposition. The talent is there, but the coaching staff is going to have to figure out how to get the pitchers to learn to minimize mistakes. Four runs in the 9th by a supposedly dominant closer is unacceptable if Auburn wants to compete in the SEC. Starter Taylor Thompson gave a good effort to get his first win of the season, but Auburn needs it's starters to be brilliant until the bullpen figures things out.
With a win today, Auburn has now won two of their three conference series, though they sit one game under .500 with a 4-5 record due to an earlier sweep by Arkansas.
Auburn Home Run Derby continues with a 5 HR game today. That gives them 58 on the season and tied for 7th in school history, with more than half of the season remaining to be played.
Sophomore Hunter Morris continues to improve after struggling early with a back injury and toeing the Mendoza line. He's now batting .253 after a 3-5 day in which he hit two doubles and a home run.
Next week, the Tigers will play four away games. A mid week contest in Mobile against South Alabama, then a sure to be challenging road series at Mississippi State next weekend.
Tennessee St. has hired John Cooper for HC.
VCU has Lebo on their short list for HC.
Many AU fans have wanted Lebo's head for a while now.
So who knows more about BBall HC's? AU fans or NCAA ADs?
AU has been a brutal place to try to recruit for BBall. I seems that some folks in college basketball know that.
I haven't followed AU basketball in years. The HABOTN has now sparked a mild interest. If we want to be good in Basketball without cheating, it will take more time, the new arena and coaching stability.
Nice coverage from the baseball stuff, Peter. It's appreciated.
I'm overjoyed, of course, to see Louisville lose in the Elite Eight.
I'm headed toward Auburn momentarily to see what's up with the football team.
Peace to all.
Safe Travels, Jay.
JG's a hater. Whoda thunk it.
What is it about basketball referee's and their lack of understanding of the rules?
Jay G in first in the bracket.
From the Auburn Beat
Auburn Athletic Director Jay Jacobs said Sunday that no one from Virginia Commonwealth had contacted him seeking permission to speak to men's basketball coach Jeff Lebo. Jacobs said he knew nothing about the school's potential interest in Lebo.
Hoopie ...
We so often disagree, but your summary of Auburn basketball is so completely correct that I'd like to serve as a co-signer.
i am not a Sooner fan
I can't say I'd extinguish the Sooner Schooner with any means necessary if it were on fire.
Oooh I just got back from Orlando and it was a bumpy ride!!
Anything major? Outside of just finding out Louisville lost...that doesn't bother you JGT does it?
Vice-President Jet......In the time-honored tradition of current VP Biden, you are welcome to take that statement and use it as your own as it serves your needs.
I really don't know basketball very well and have only watched the Lebo situation as an outsider. After a while, the situation just seemed to clear up itself.
You have to wonder why certain teams/players shoot free throws so poorly....seems coachable.
I wonder how long it will be before the coaches are "happy" with a practice? It seems that these coaches aren't in tune with the present-day child rearing conventional wisdom. They aren't worried about propping these kid's ego and giving them trophys just for showing up.
I read several articles on Tigerland today that describe the new dress-appearance-neatness rules. Those rules almost seem right out of the 50's. So far, the kids seem OK with it.
These coaches are certainly marking their territory. AU was not an undisciplined team. Those articles make it sound like quasi-military.
Jet...I'm sure you could help them out with the fire and "whizonit".
Hoopie - When you say undisciplined, are you talking off the field? Because OL/DL penalties I would consider being undisciplined.
Tiger Woods does it again. What a comeback at Bay Hill.
I just caught the final putt... I wish I had seen the rest of the day.
Wasn't he 4 or 5 back heading into the day?
D - He was 5 shots back. It is awesome watching history every time he plays.
AU1n04.....yes, I was talking about off the field.
The articles I read were discussing the clothing-earring type discipline (off field).
Those type penalties on the field could be caused by coach or player confusion, substitutions, mental discipline or several other causes.
I did end up seeing some of those articles as well. I think it might be a good thing.
