Thursday morning reset

Hey everyone. You know how I feel about going over 200 posts? Now we're over 400 in yesterday's thread and I'm legitimately anxious.

Of course, it is yesterday's thread. We need a new one.

So we'll make this one a Choose Your Own Adventure. Comment as you see fit.

I won't be updating again until practice, which is scheduled to begin around 4:30 this afternoon. Video is permitted. You can expect a video around 5:30. It'll be running continuously through midnight, so there's no need to go all road rage during the drive home. Or the drive to work. Whatever works for you.

HABOTN TV will be waiting for you.

PROGRAMMING NOTE: Blogger, which hosts this fine enclave of contentment, reports that it will have an outage beginning at 6 p.m. CDT. These typically last no longer than 30 minutes.

I'm in the VAST minority around here -- but I'm just not going to get deep into spring football until March Madness is over. I usually get really fired up around June.

10:35 AM
Blogger Hornet said...

I made a 30 on the ACT and all I got was a one-year tuition scholly. My roomie was a Presidential scholar based on a PSAT score and he actually got paid to go to school. Such is life.....

10:36 AM
Blogger digger4au said...

March Madness lost it's luster for me but I am not a big basketball fan. Just love Auburn and follow anything they do.

I took the SAT a handful of times and did very well, took the ACT one time and didn't care for it, still scored fairly high but not as high as my SAT, decided once was enough. In Florida the SAT is more common than the ACT, seemed to be the opposite in Alabama.

They say everyone has one special gift in life, I think standarized test taking is mine, unfortunately I haven't found out how I can make that benefit me in the real world the way having a rocket for an arm or being a sales person would.

10:50 AM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

Wake, not me! I took the SAT twice and did terrible both times.

10:56 AM

I did better on the SAT than ACT but Auburn wanted the ACT score

10:59 AM

I'll never forget the Saturday I wasted on the SAT. The girl behind me, who's plans included Georgetown probably scored twice what I did all while talking about making pot brownies the night before.

I hated her.

I still do.

I wanted to jam a pencil in my eye during that test.

11:02 AM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

Then, swing around with the razor-edge of my test booklet and open her jugular vein right there in class.

I sat there and failed miserably instead.

Mine goes like this....

Leave for Memphis and meet three college buds on Beale
Wake up the next morning and take my time getting to Rendevous for lunch (sausage, cheese, ribs, beer)
Go to South Regional Semis (UNC-Gonzaga; Syracuse - Oklahoma).
Spend Saturday in Tunica taking it to the house then party it up on Beale....again
Go to Finals and watch the Blake Griffin and Hansbrough battle

I actually get to live my adventure starting in about 6 hours

Sup Homies - I've never heard of these choose your own adventure books and I read a lot. Maybe it's a difference in age. That's what I'll tell myself anyway.

I remember the ACT - after a night of some moderate drinking, buses idling outside the open windows of the room at Huntingdon where I took it. Good times.

To steal some of Jet's adventure - my ideal foursome used to be Fuzzy (because I used to think he was funny), Payne (because he used to be alive and funny), Freddie (well, because he was Freddie) and me (because I sometimes think I'm funny).

Temple (Texas) five-star running back Lache Seastrunk receives mail from colleges on a daily basis, most of which he never opens.

The 5-foot-11, 195-pounder, ranked by Rivals.com as the No. 1 running back in the country and No. 2 overall recruit, sifts through the letters looking for just a few schools in particular. You can go look in my locker right now and see them hanging up," said Seastrunk. Hornet - NO, Robert Johnson is a black dude from 1920's Miss. Better Than Ezra may have mentioned him but Eric Clapton covered him while with Cream and such.

He influenced ALL of the great British guitarists like Clapton (see Crossroads) and K. Richards.

Richard JohnSTON in a 30-something white guy who is awsome and plays a uniquie form of blues called "Hill Country" and is, ALIVE.

If you're going to Memphis, ask someone on Beale St. about him. Let me know what they say.

Read Moretalent daily to win and keep a job and I have no aspirations of going into a situation where things would be easy for me because competition within a program is what truly makes a player better and I know Auburn has that on both sides of the ball.
