Rollison makes his plea
In a development first discussed by MonD in today's thread, Auburn signee Tyrik Rollison already is trying to recruit on Auburn's behalf.
He's using Facebook, the popular social-networking site, to promote former U. Michigan wideout Toney Clemons for a spot with the Tigers.
Here's the message, titled "To all the Aubrun fans out there":
Clemons, a sophomore at UM during the 2008 season, earlier this week announced plans to leave the program. Rivals.com ranked Clemons as the nation's No. 12 prep wideout.

I'm trying to get my man Toney Clemons to come play for Auburn. He is no longer with Michigan and is looking for a new place to ball. We could use him at WR and I was asking for your help. Send him a message saying how much Auburn could use and how much you would like to see him on our squad. Anything from the heart will go a long way. Thanks for the help.Rollison also included a link to some Clemons highlights.

Isn't HABOTN reader, and PBP Gaytor Blogger Ben Volin, the guy who called in to the coaches press conference and asked some idiotic question last year? I don't remember what the question was, but the department was none too happy about him getting the call in info.

Nothing against NCAA's for a commitment to recruit. Georgia Tech class early commitments a couple of years back worked as a team to sway other recruits. For what I remember it payed off a time or two. That class working as a team even before they took the field for the first time seems to have carried along. Could be part of the reason Tech may (most probably will) be a force to deal with in the coming years.

My favorite thing about Clemons is his ability to shorten "I am going to" to "I'm a"...he even managed to get rid of the "gonna" typically used in the southern colloquial version of that phrase "I'm a gonna." A very efficient linguist, he is.
Facebook? Is that a site on the internets?
Looks like a good athlete but he sounds like he wants to be in a pro-style system. Would he even consider another "spread" style offense?
*Scratch Head*...
Very Philosophical and insightful Peter. With this knowledge in hand, I now must work on my own linguistic skills I am a southern colloquially Homer....

Good for you, LT. I'm a sit here and do nothing.

My geoawgrafy is a bit shadey put Pittsburgh PA is in the north.
Seriously though, think how brilliant you must be to turn "A" into an infinitive.
New thread up.
Good job on the geography lesson, Chris. I was commenting on his language skills. I, with my expert qualifications, believe that phrase to be derived from a southern dialect, despite its lack of geographical boundaries. Sorry for causing the mixup.
