First post: Monday
Hey everyone. Welcome to WEEK TWO of Auburn's fall camp. Today brings us two-a-day practices. Tomorrow brings us a scrimmage. We should begin learning more about the legitimate position battles -- quarterback, Wildcat, wideout, second safety, reserve cornerbacks -- in a few days.
Weather in Montgomery appears to be sunny and fairly warm. Highs in the mid-90s, though there is a chance for showers later today.
Here's the Auburn situation at this moment:

TODAY'S SCHEDULE
The first practice begins around 10 a.m. I expect it to be in full pads, but that's only an educated guess. A short portion of the workout will be open to the media, so I'll get a video up around 11:30 a.m. CDT. Notes to follow. I will not be attending the night session. I have to make choices about what I cover and what I don't cover.
Also, please pick up the Advertiser's print edition if you live around here! Our fine Auburn coverage is only one element of our award-winning product.

FIRST OUT OF THE TRAINING ROOM!
some jerk on twitter told me to come here.
Jerks.
i've already read the articles, had my coffee, and had more ice on my shoulder than Chris Todd. it must be time to strap on the pads today boys (and gals)!
the Wildcat is a position in this offense?
Good to see you around again PF.
Yes. The wildcat quarterback is the "wildcat" ... and there will be (is) competition brewing for that spot.
Jay G, just got to look at the weekend stuff. awesome. and really awesome you through the Mario Speedwagon in there. that has made my morning. showed a buddy at work i was so excited.
mornin to early hotties as well.
I'm glad some Auburn-esque rename hasn't caught on for the wildcat. I'm not sure why but that bugs me.
*threw
Thanks ehyou.
Didn't realize that about the wildcat being a position. That's interesting.
Who all is involved in the competition for it? Is it possible to have more than one "starting" wildcat?
I think wildcat is a ridiculous name for the formation/position/offense, but wildeagle would probably piss me off.
In school I had a generator we named the "Screaming Eagle" that we'd use tailgating. It had a bad bearing and made an ear piercing screech. You got used to it, but when the gas ran out there was a deafening silence. The silence was normally followed by applause by surrounding tailgaters.
Hey JGT, you said yesterday that Chizik 'won't move a player from another position to LB'.
Does that rule out moving someone from offense? Maybe a guy whose fighting for reps at a position where we appear to be loaded and appears lost in the shuffle?
Like, I don't know, maybe Petey Smith's brother?
