You can call him "Gone"tez Billings
WR Montez Billings will miss the first four games of the 2009 season due to an academic issue.
``This is unfortunate for Montez, but we’ve exhausted all avenues to get him on the field as soon as possible,” said Rich McGlynn, Auburn's director of NCAA compliance. ``While we don’t necessarily agree with the NCAA’s ruling, we have to respect and abide by their decision."
Billings graduated in May with a degree in public administration.

FAH!!!!!!!!
how can a dude who graduated have academic issues with the N-C-freakin' 2-A???? will somebody please explain this?
guess you're not really FAH when you're all alone. :(
Your FAH
I am interested in knowing as well. How does that happen? JGT do you have any further details now that it is out and about?
Maybe he didn't have enough credit hours?
I really don't know. Montez Billings hasn't come clean about what happened ... and you know Gene Chizik hasn't discussed anything.
Odd.
you've got a better chance at getting Chizik to lead frats streaking through the quad than to really explain what went on with Gone-tez.
that said, i like the Chiz. just not many answers from him.
I think he is determined to let his talking happen on the field. I saw something today about the game to watch in the SEC may be TN vs AU just because of the new coaches.
Instead of a B.S., Montez needed a B.A.
New video UP.
Interviews will begin in a few moments. I'll get Billings reaction or explanation asap.
maybe he pulled a Jeff Burger and they are just now onto him? or he took he took Organic Gardening with Dr. James Brown, no no not THAT james brown- this one with Mr. Pop Test Man and they realized that class was bogus and shouldn't count.
He didn't even get an effing fishing trip out of it!!
LOL Daniel
Well, it is nice to see that the NCAA doesn't fool around and has layed down the law. By the way, what did he do?
How can you say "It's good that the NCAA doesn't fool around and has laid down the law," when you don't even know what MB did? For all you know the penalty was too strict. And since when does anyone commend the NCAA for anything?
