First Post: Thursday of Week Two
Hey everyone. Fun night last night. Thanks for sticking around and enjoying our time together. All in all, I'd say it was best-ever night HABOTN shenanigans.
Special collaborative thank-yous go to: MonD, Kristina, SteveFC, Big Snacks Frankenschmidt, j-z, FSJ, Norm and jhag for the totally random "are there any dippers in here?" question. Brought tears to my eyes. Good tears.
HABOTN hits are up. The Auburn stories are powerhouses at the Advertiser web site. I totally appreciate your steadfast support of this little enterprise. I'd give you a Yuengling Black & Tan if I had some and you were of age.
Here's the Auburn situation at this moment:

TODAY'S SCHEDULE
I didn't get the video out yesterday. It happens. I'm aiming for this afternoon. I'll also be listening to Tiger Talk and watching tonight's ESPN game, which I believe involves Clempson and Georgia Tech. So I'll basically live blog the radio show. In the flow, all swole. I'm read' ta go.
Here's what the next few days look like. All times are CDT:
Thu., Sept. 10, 4:30 p.m. (No interviews allowed; Tiger Talk at 7 p.m.)
Fri., Sept. 11, OFF
Sat., Sept. 12, vs. Mississippi State, 6:05 p.m. (Fox Sports South)
Sun., Sept. 13, 4:30 p.m.
Mon., Sept. 14, OFF
Tue., Sept. 15, 4:30 (Chizik presser at 11:30 a.m.; Players available at 11:50 a.m.)
Also, please pick up the Advertiser's print edition if you live around here! Our fine Auburn coverage is only one element of our award-winning product.

Slamming Substance
I'm just a big blob of substance
Nicely done, Sensi.
Belated Substance for Eddie:
A more appropriate visual reference for the term '@sshat'.
Sensi and THT rocking
who had to log in again for reasons unknown
Is the faster pace about efficiency or wearing out the opposing defense to counter our thin defensive ranks?
My official representative assures me that serenity has returned to the HABOTN.
Thanks, Jay.
The short answer, Sensi, is yes.
i think the faster pace is an effort to get to 1000 posts and wear out JGT's defenses
Malzahn would demand a faster pace if he had Florida's defense.
Personal note - and sorry to do this here - keep my fam in your thoughts and prayers. My mom's father passed away last night after years of varied illness. They are all doing okay, but are in the grieving stages.
I will be departing soon to go and help in whatever capacity I can. I appreciate your support.
THT...the phantom login has been sporadically required for me also. Surely some Hottie can solve this technical issue.
Sensi- Thought's and prayers with your family for sure.
You got it, Sensi.
Sensi...we will pray for your family.
Hoopie- Last night, I was not discounting what you were saying about McCaleb, just adding what I heard.
So I invited some MissStake people to watch the game with my Auburn alumni crew and was shot down. I guess they're too worried about being blown out. I was disappointed.
Sensi - your family will be in our prayers.
any thought that CGM's wish to only play 11 could have an adverse effect on recruiting. I doubt it, but the thought did come to mind.
Best to you and your family Sensi.
Watching games with opposing fans who are friends is always a mistake. You can never revel in success like you would if they weren't there, and if you are losing it is 100 times worse.
Morning Hotties!
Will do, Sensi.
JayGt...I read backwards to where it seemed last nights issue started. Wow! I hardly try sarcasm or cute snideness because it usually get taken the wrong way. The HABOTN has many masters at conveying such...I'm not one.
Hi zookeeper! Thanks for all that free beer and food for MrsTHT and me last weekend. The beef tenderloin, lobster, and shrimp cocktail were DEElicious. I'm sure the SWAT Hotties will expect similar treatment this weekend ;-)
THT, you are evil.
I once watched "WarGames" with Jong-Il Kim. He became unstable during the simulated missile attacks. I left Pyongyang and never returned despite his frequent offers to watch Kentucky play Tennessee in football.
This was in '84 when he was an aspiring electrician. He had deranged dictator written all over him.
that post made me hungry... LUNCH time!!! I will have to imagine my turkey sandwich tasting like beef tenderloin, etc etc
Thanks, all.
Congrats to jhag!
Front page quoteage!
Hoop, I don't remember you making a scene. Did you?
jhag's timing is perfect.
I must agree with Michael. I had the opportunity to chat with the step mother of a Tn starter and other than our mutual dislike and disgust for all things UAT, we didn't have much to talk about.
I am looking forward to this week's game against MS. ST. This will be the first real test of the team.
Who are the weirdos that actually picked LA Tech to win last week? I know there were some in the news media that actually did that.
I apologise for my absence from the blog, I have intended to really pick up my comments and contributions as the season got nearer, but I am in the process of moving back to KY on an opportunity that came up very suddenly (within the last month) and that means I getting a house ready to sell, furniture ready to move, closing on a house in KY, getting kids started in a new school, tying up loose ends at work, and trying to go to as many AU games as possible this year in the mean time.
Anyway, I was pleased, to say the least, with how we looked on Saturday. I hope the adage about a team improving from the 1st game to the 2nd game is true. I wasn't at the game, but I must say that Chris Todd's arm looked great. I liked how he is able to throw various types of passes depending on the situation, feather, bullit, over the shoulder, etc.
I thought that the running duo was something. It enable the offense to stay out of predictable situations, and thus, Todd was able to pick apart the LA Tech secondary. I look for more of the same against MS. St.
Ms. St has the makings of either a blowout or a trap game. I don't think this team will look ahead or past anybody this year after the year they had last year.
JayGT - I always click the "recommend" on your articles and AU notebook. Am I wasting my clicks?
wow, big surprise today. Deviled ham instead of turkey. If it wasn't so bad for me, I'd ask MrsTHT to give me a deviled ham sammich every day.
Oh and wherever Jet is....your ABC's Of HABOTN post cracked me up.
So, somebody tell me about MSU's team in a nutshell. I have no idea what they've got. Or don't.
Denny, if I'm not mistaken, good ole Pat Forde said that LaTech was the WAC team with the best chance for an upset, but I don't think he actually picked them to win.
Sorry I missed the festivities last night! I didn't even get the stuff done that I was supposed to get done, so that makes my waste of time doubly infuriating.
Sensi, y'all are definitely in our prayers.
Coach Crum!!! Welcome back!
I was referring to a comment that you made and how it was apparently perceived by Mon.
For once in my life....I avoided a scene.
Kristina- MSU has a florida like offense, more so running than passing with typical MSU type players and a defense that was bad last year with a lot less of it's starters back, especially in the defensive backfield. I think someone on here stated earlier that Auburn needs to win big so show that there is some distance between Auburn and MSU, I agree.
THT, it's always appreciated.
Michael,
Watching games with opposing fans is one thing, but going to the game with them is even worse. I went to the 2001 Iron Bowl with a Bama fan. Not a good time at all.
Welcome back, Denny.
Don't be a stranger once you get settled in Kentucky!
Kristina, my one take away from yesterday (apparently too early in the evening) was that Missippi Stite has an outstanding running backs coach, but we shouldn't look for them to catch any passes out of the backfield.
Apparently this Chris Relf kid (QB) can play some ball, too.
Eddie,
That was probably me. I think this weekend needs to be a statement to those people who thought we were dropping to Miss State level.
so freakin' busy today. gggrrrr....
Crum! You old bloodsucker, good to see you.
Jay G - nice Kim Jong-il post. That's cool you knew him before he went mainstream.
Obviously I worded my question very poorly. I certainly do not think it is a waste of clicks to recommend your articles and will continue to do so. I was just curious if MA makes any use of such information. I'm guessing not.
Eddie, I think you nailed it. From a distance, Auburn and MSU should have "similar" offenses, but we need to show early and often that there is a difference across the board (offense, defense, coaches wearing their hats backwards, etc.)
On another note I have actually discovered a (the only?) benefit of having a sick wife who had to go to the doctor: I'm at home with the baby (who is asleep), and therefore I can catch up on a bit of the HABOTN.
Denny...good to here from you...stop by when you can. Hope the new situation is all you want it to be.
THT: That would be a good guess.
Michael: He still texts me. I ignore him. I guess he can't quit me.
So is the Pitino "situation" now being taken care of with the return of Coach Crum?
I guess I need to go check out some of last nights notes. Need to check up on the ABC's. Any idea around what time Dr. Jet announced this?
Will someone please explain the "any dippers in here?" comment?
Tommyd: Jet made the hilarious ABC post this morning ... on the previous thread.
Sean: jhag just asked that out of the blue last night and I thought it was hysterical. There was no context. Just jhag bein' jhag.
Thank you sir!!
We do an AU-UGA pig roast each year up at Lake Lanier with usually 30-40 participants. The situation is fun, intense and yet civil.
The 2005 AU-UGA game is the only exception. Someone broke out shots of No Ga Shine at halftime. We were novices at such libations. When AU won 31-30 on the pass to Aromoshudu....a lot of friendships were tested.
Jet, YOU, sir are a master!
Thanks, Jay G.
Confession - I've had a Ricky rant before. Actually many times before. Usually not in the presence of real people, though.
Well, you all have guessed as to my return to KY. The Pitino situation is going from the sublime to the ridiculous.
Jay G., I will be in North Madison County about 17 miles or so from your alma mater.
tommyd....I'll bet you were in your 20's-early 30's at the time of your Ricky Rant. Somewhere around the mid-30's wisdom and restraint occur.
ahhh...to be a young fool again.
I threw the couch pillow into the ceiling fan during the John Vaughn LSU game as a part of a Ricky Rant. My marriage was pretty young at the time, and my wife was like, "Wow..."
This is being referred to as the "worst sports column ever"
http://www.ocregister.com/articles/world-won-most-2555260-never-one
What's your take, Jay G?
Michael- If my youngest had not been born the week of that LSU game, i'm sure I would be replacing some furniture at that time. Man, having kids makes you chill and put things in perspective, at least for me.
I just crumbled into the floor at the end of the Vaughn game vs LSU.
I didn't throw a couch pillow, but I had the LSU drunk behind me thrown out.
Michael: Is that column a joke? Come on.
that's pretty bad column. Can't believe he wrote it.
When I was young and angry, I might even punch myself in the thigh a couple of times really hard. But yes, as is the theme, I have chilled out nowadays. Well, relatively speaking, my wife still thinks I'm nuts.
actually, he was behind 2.0 and wouldn't keep his knees out of her back. He was drunk and sober mom & dad were sitting nearby. Corndogs.
That columnist defended himself here:
http://backporch.fanhouse.com/2009/09/09/author-of-column-ripped-as-worst-ever-quite-surprised-by-react/
Yeah, I can't believe he was surprised by the reaction.
Hoopie -- ummm, yeah, that's it, 20's or 30's. and perhaps 40's.
THT - it must have been satisfying to get an LSU fan thrown out. Small victory.
My response to last night is that Gus demanded a quicker pace and the HOTTIES responded.
The 2005 LSU game was just a bad night all around. Sigh...
one less corndog makes the world a better place.
My wife still thinks my reactions to games are not cool, but I did show her Ricky Bama's video and she seemed to think I wasn't so bad after all.
That article was awful.
Michael ...
That's ... that's ... shoot, I'm speechless.
That dude is a Abe Lincoln-styled, stove pipe @$$hat.
Sensi ...
Many prayers and best thoughts to you and your fam.
I react way worse than my husband does during games.
that has to be one of the stupidest columns ever written, sports or otherwise.
I know, that article was almost like an Onion article. How did this guy make it this far before he did something this stupid? Someone needs to check his pre-Twitter archive and figure out what other dumb stuff he has written over the years.
When I read the article, I was reminded of Everydayshouldbsaturday's faux recap of the infamous Saban news conference after the LaMo loss.
let's see, here is a nightmare situation for the Vaughn game...Having you're brother in England talking to you on a pay phone in London and hearing something that didn't sound right and the phone abrubtly hanging up. Michael was mugged while talking to us right before kickoff of the Vaughn game. It took about 20 minutes or so, it seemed like forever, before we heard back and my parents where at the house, and we were all freaking out becuase we had no idea what the heck was going on and no way to get in touch with him. That really changes the view of football when that happens at the beginning of a big game.
THT- Damn man, what's the secret?
Is it better to bring Substance first or be the Beasley post. THT has made this posting spot something of value, and one that he does not give up.
holy cow, Eddie. just random assault of a tourist? do you know what part of London?
it's the night vision goggles, Eddie. I don't go anywhere without them, or a spare pair of Duracells
But really... was getting mugged all that much worse than watching the LSU game? I guess it was.
Someone should write an article about everything Eddie's brother missed while he was being mugged.
Article about what Eddie's brother missed:
FG attempt, no good
FG attempt, no good
FG attempt, no good
FG attempt, no good
FG attempt, no good
LSwho wins by default
I have a habotn hangover.
I'm sure Writer Tate could improve on that a bit, perhaps adding some punctuation.
Getting mugged is one thing, not knowing what the heck is going on except something bad and no way to find out, is a totally different thing. When I heard back from Michael, he got to live the whole agonizing 2nd half and OT via the phone, so a wonderful night that started with the mugging just got worse for him. I'm sure he will jump in at some point to share his thoughts.
THT - King of the Countdown, Master of Recaps, Needer of Editors.
mond - good morning, you ole assh@t.
That's Ms. Ass@at to you, mistress of thighs.
A good time was had by all
uh all that attended last night's HABOTN rally. Sorry I missed it
Saw on anther blog that Chizik said Eric Smtih would play this week end. True?
Sensi, my prayers will include your family. May God bless each and every one.
THT, the mugging happened in south London, about 15 miles outside of central London. I was living in not a very good part of town at the time and was at the wrong place at the wrong time. Once I got back in touch with the fam, I stayed up till 3 or 4 in the morning (London time) listening to Eddie give me the play by play of the game. As JV went to kick the field goal at the end of regulation, Eddie said (and I'm paraphrasing), "Maybe something good will happen for you now." I replied (as inspired from Ed Harris in Apollo 13), "Only if my luck changes." It didn't...
EBro - I'm glad to hear it wasn't in central London. Can't say as I've ever ventured very far south of the Thames. I will not be able to watch another AU vs LSwho game without thinking of your story. Being in BTR scares me a whole lot more than London.
Look at all the international Hotties!!
Yeah, BTR is crazy. When I was at the 2003 game, I went out to a bar with some freinds before the game and unwittingly wore an orange and blue collared shirt (no Auburn apparrel, just an orange and blue shirt). I got some suspicious looks through the night and one girl asked me straight up with a bit of a scowl on her face, "Why are you wearing that shirt?"
AS the night went on, me and my Auburn friends made sure to give off the appearance of LSU fans so as to better blend in. At midnight, the lights in the bar would turn off and and they would pass around free shots while the LSU fight song came blaring over a loudspeaker. By the end of the night, we were all yelling "Geaux Tigers!" Partly out of fear but partly because it was such an awesome atmosphere.
In 2001, I saw Hugh Nall form a one person barricade between the Auburn bus and LSU fans after the game. Things were getting heated and confrontational, but Nall had fire in his eyes that night and the LSU fans begin to back down finally. Of course, we were still treated to 2 year old LSU fan flipping us off as we left town. They're crazy down on the Bayou.
FYI, the 2003 bar indident was the night before the game, not day of.
that certainly makes more sense!
The 2001 LSU game was awful. You could tell they weren't used to winning anything important. They had no idea how to celebrate.
I went to a bar in Baton Rouge the night before the 2003 LSU game. I had my Auburn gear on, and people talked some trash here and there, but it was nothing worse than what drunk Auburn people would do. However, I was there with an LSU guy rather than a group of Auburn people, so I guess I was more palatable.
The team I was with in 1999 did nothing to help my brother out by smoking cigars on their field. They held a big grudge about that for some reason. By the way, I went out to a similar place in BR, but made sure to be neutral. BR is a fun town. I never started yelling Geaux Tigers tho.
Michael- the 2002 LSU / Auburn game was in Auburn, I hope nobody talked trash to you then.
LSU people are some of the worst even when they go on the road. They take over the town, act like the own it, trash it and then leave. I always hated having them come to Auburn. Although while I was in school we sent them home with a couple of losses so I guess it was ok.
Diet Coke is expensive in bars, so I never go in them.
The 2002 Auburn/LSU game was nice.
The funny thing in that game was Tre Smith at the end of the game ran the ball all the way down to the 2 yard line...the only reason he didn't score was because he slowed down to watch himself on the scoreboard.
Yeah, Michael, 2001 was definitely the more volatile experience by far. As Eddie said, 1999 did not help it all. There were signs all over town that Friday night telling Tubs to "smoke this."
But that 2003 experience in the bar was memorable. We had a great time. Do we have anywhere in Auburn that at midnight passes around free shots while the fight song plays? If not, we should. It was awesome. Just sitting there having a normal bar experience, and then, bam, lights out and "Buhhh-buh buh buhhh!" followed by hysterical excitement from LSU students/fans.
2003 vs LSU is remembered to me as one of those (hopefully always) rare games where the result was obvious even before the kick off.
Tre Smith's handling of punts didn't make it easier.
I can feel a song coming on ...
"No, my first name ain't 'Baby.'
It's Monica!
Ms. @$$hat, if you're nasty!"
other michael - yeah, I remember them doing the fight song at the bar I was at.
I wasn't really drinking that night, so most of the night I was sitting there observing my friend who went to LSU getting obliterated. He was on the golf team, and we went to some apartment afterward with a bunch of guys from the LSU bball team and gals from the ladies team. My friend was grinding up on the bball girls, getting a little too handsy while dancing(which in this situation, meant REALLY handsy), and stood on a side table and broke a lamp. I just sat there as the non-participant out of town sober guy whose only friend in the room had become dysfunctionally drunk. He had golf practice the next morning that he was late for, and he got in big trouble.
Anyway, I still mess with him to this day about that night.
RK, 2003 was one of the few times I've misread the situation before a game that badly. 2001, I thought we he had a great chance against Florida before the game and I knew we'd beat UGA in Athens later that year. I knew we'd beat Bama in 2002 (same goes for Bama in 2003). 2003 LSU, we were fired up for that game. The guys were playing well at that point in the season and LSU hadn't yet become national title contenders. I thought we'd really make a game of it, but were just soundly beaten that night, much more soundly than USC had beaten us earlier in the season, though both shared the title that year.
Didn't do a whole lot of drinking that night myself either. Was an interested observer like you, and it was interesting.
Just took a look at last nights posts. WOW, just WOW. you kids had fun last night.
For the record, I never called MonD "baby."
I feel a costume malfunction coming on.
speaking of games one knows the outcome of beforehand, and I've done this before, but Alzheimer's allows me to do it again...
Absolutely no doubt whatsoever:
1972 @UT
1972 Iron Bowl
and on the losing end:
1996 UGly (MrsTHT drove solo to that one; I couldn't bear to see it live; I was oh so close to being wrong)
Very strongly confident:
1971 @UGly
1989 Iron Bowl
2004 Iron Bowl
Most all the others have various degrees of confidence or doubt.
I called 2001 Florida (everyone called me crazy) and 2006 Florida. Both times I felt like we matched up well and had the "no one believes in us" spirit going on.
I had a friend who called the 2006 spanking from Arkansas we received. He still touts that as evidence he is a great prognosticator.
I'm sure most everyone thought I was nuts in 1972 (nothing's changed), espcially my dad when I told him he didn't need to worry with AU behind 16-0 in the 4th qtr.
Made my picks for the week
last week I was 9-8 which was above average for me.
I never feel overly confident before a game but was pretty sure before the 2004, 2006 and 2007 IB games.
Victories I saw in the distance:
1994 Florida
1989 UAT
Never saw these coming:
1993 Florida
2007 Florida
Buttkickings I knew we would get:
Syracuse 2001
LSU 2001
LSU 2003
Unexpected Losses:
GT, 2003 and 2005
UGA 2006
It would be hard to make a concise list of "Unexpected Losses"
those two Tch Games were unexpected by me also never thought we would lose either one.
1970 losses to LSU and UGA were huge shockers, though the former wouldn't have been had I had a chance to walk on the field before the game. It was foot deep muck from all the rain that day. Sully & Beasley never had a chance.
OK, I admit it.
I went to Chris' Hot Dogs. And I smell like I went to Chris' Hot Dogs.
On the Yahoo Pick's there's spread, confidence and spread & confidence.
What does confidence mean exactly?
Confidence is very sexy. Don't you think?
Confidence is the liklihood of the spread. Wait you're talking football again. nevermind.
From here on out, I've decided to be brimming with confidence.
This commercial used to kind of creep me out when I was young:
http://abcnews.go.com/video/playerIndex?id=3485022
do I have to say it? -->
Mon I don't see the confidence that you speak of.
Hope it doesn't influence winning or losing on my picks.
Michael, does it have anything to do with watching someone your grandparent's age talking about being confidently sexy?
Digger - When you go to the pick's it's under the tab that reads "Pick Distribution"
This link MAY take you there
Pick Distribution
For all those who haven't and aren't easily offended, I highly reccommend Ricky's Rant on YouTube.
What is a Ricky Rant? Where is this HABOTN ABC's that Jet wrote? I can't find it.
A = @$$hats
B = Bread pudding
C = cornhole
all topics of last night
It wasn't a whole ABC's of Habotn. It was just a joke about some stuff that was talked about last night that was really funny.
It should be on the last page of the previous post, Luv
Ricky Rant should be a link (with warning) provided by JayGT post - originally posted by weagle
re: rant, see JGT's 9:27 a.m. post
When Yahoo does the College Bowl Pickum, the participants pick the bowl winners, THEN rate the games from 1-32 according to how confident of each pick. Each correctly picked game gets the points rated by each participant for that game. Most points wins.
This removes some advantage for the fans that know all of the teams well, whic must be why I've won a couple of times in this format. Having said that...this year will now be a bust.
Jet....2001 Syracuse game. The entire USA was rooting for Syracuse. That AU team was the most bewildered I've seen a team look in pregame.
Mon...
Confidence picks are weighted based on your confidence in them. If, for example, there are 20 selections, you will assign (20) to the one you are most confident descending down to a (1) you are least confident in. For every one you get right, you get the points you placed on it.
It's difficult to explain in words, a chart would be much easier to see what I'm trying to say.
Well, that took so long to type, Hoopie already explained it, and better anyway.
ehyou do you watch "How I Met Your Mother"?
Mon's gone all Broncos on us, circa '77
My second favorite network show behind 2 1/2 Men.
Hoopie ...
Quentin Riggins tells a story about the team landing at the airport and being totally freaked out.
When I get sad, I stop being sad and be awesome instead. True story.
ehyou - Good! So you understand why I so had a visual of you as Marshall in the episode where he had the graphics department at his disposal and made graphs of EVERYTHING.
Good times.
I also love 2 1/2 men. Although, it's getting a little on the sad side as Charlie is aging and having a more difficult time pulling off the studly, party boy image.
I know, it's harder to watch nowadays for me because the boys voice is deeper than his dad's.
Sadly enough, I do love a good graph.
Charlie can start playing the 1/2 man.
Poor Charlie.
I, too, love a good graph. I love data in almost any form.
Data and office supplies. You're quite a gal.
The CBS Monday nite sitcoms contain the majority of our network viewing. One of the shows has that guy that played "Putty" on Seinfield. The show isn't great, but Putty is. Wifey won't watch that show..says she married a Putty/Tool-man-Taylor combo and watches the tube to escape real life.
Marshall's Venn diagram was the best with the "Cecilia" reference.
I like this Venn diagram:
http://img2.imageshack.us/img2/403/socialnetworking.jpg
Ok, I just watched Ricky's Rant. All I could do was shake my head the whole time. That is just ridiculous. He does NOT need to be watching football games.
I love using regular graphite (or, the so called lead) pencils.
I like the fragrance of wood, mixed with graphite when you sharpen the pencil. I like the tactile feel of the pencil's sharpened point as it glides over a coarse paper, or how natural that octagonal piece of wood feels against the fingertips.
I can go on but this keyboard is not as fun as the pencil. Next time we'll discuss fountain pens.
I like writing with .7 mechanical pencils. It gives you some of the smoothness of the old school pencils. However, this makes a mess sometimes, so I usually stick to .5 at work. But I always use .7 on crossword puzzles.
I do not tolerate pencil sharpening, so old school pencils are out.
Aero.....stopping to smell the roses.....er.....pencils
i use ink on crossword puzzles so I can see it better. Sometimes the puzzles get a bit messy.
Aero - hexagonal, unless you've got an unusual pencil supply.
(You made me go find one to check)
If a scientist someday creates the ability to go back in time and do something in the past, here is my list:
a.) Relive the Official Wifey Pick & Roll Trick® (made her commit to a date without actually asking), March 1992.
b.) Attend Live Aid in Wembley, July 13, 1985.
c.) Attend Metal Sunday at US Festival, San Bernardino, Calif., May 29, 1983.
There are others.
I do crossword puzzles in my head, so I can leave it for the next person to work.
I love the actor who played Putty. He's been entertaining in almost everything I've seen him in.
Luv....Bammers can be much worse than that.....heck...he lives in an apartment. Trailer parks have experienced gunshots that go through several trailers due to Bammers.
Congrats on the hotties picking up the tempo last night, but we can't rest on our laurels. We can and will do better. There was too much wasted time between posts. With everyone's help, I know we can do better.
Dangit! I still can't find Jet's HABOTN ABC's. I have scrolled through the entire previous thread.
Pencils are so 20th century. Ink isn't bad, but electronic storage is 21st century.
Michael, gotta be .07 for me. I'm a lefty and push the pencil against the paper grain. I've torn too much paper with .05
Luv - I reposted it above right under your first inquiry
Luv..it's right at the very end. Never fear...hopefully it will be the last place you look.
Tar Heel, I guess I was having a "Luv Moment." I also guess you had to be there last night to find it as amusing as everyone that was there.
Luv, I think you'll be disappointed considering how much time you've dedicated to finding it.
It was just one sentence or two!
A good sentence or two, but still ...
Steve... we now scan/email almost everything with minimal paper use. It's not easy and has taken a real commitment. Construction plans viewed on a screen are a challenge. Paper plans still required in the field....laptops and mud don't mix.
Next to last page of the last thread, love. DO ctrl + f and type in "ABC". You will see it in all its original glory.
Jay G.
Was Metal Sunday the day that Van Halen was the headliner and they came in via copter?
Jay G, you are right! I was disappointed. I thought it was going to one of Jet's masterpieces.
RK: Yes sir.
Motley Crue, Scorpions, Judas Priest, Ozzy, Triumph and Quiet Riot.
Ehyou - I think you'll appreciate this. I have just had delivered to me the P-touch PT-2700, Professional High-Performance Labeling System.
Yep. :-)
Luv, nothing on HABOTN could have lived up to the time you put into finding it. Well, maybe a particularly good Puppet Hour would be worth it.
THT.
Good catch. Hexagonal. I guess I should sleep. My thinking is impaired.
Not a masterpiece?
NOT A MASTERPIECE?
I used to have a copy of the Van Halen show that night. Eddie is trashed and Diamond Dave is butchering lyrics left and right, but still an awesome show.
Roth even takes a couple of shots at The Clash who were on the day before.
Who to root for, Clemson or Georgia Tech? I really like Paul Johnson's offense, but Dabo Sweeney has the coolest name. It is a hard call, but I have to go with Georgia Tech since they are former SEC members.
Back to Ricky's Rant...
I have a temper, but not like that guy. I remember during the 2006 AU-UGA game, I got so mad that I got up to leave and said, "I can't watch this sh** anymore!!" as I was trying to get my stadium seat unhooked from the bench. All I could do was bang it up and down as I was yelling the above-mentioned quote.
We still laugh about that.
Sorry, Jet. :-D
Somewhere I have a copy of the David Lee Roth vocals for running with the devil. You wouldn't believe how funny it is without the music in the background. You will hear silence and then suddenly you will hear him go, ahhh ha, running with the devil. Hmmm, I guess you had to be there.
Chris Low is on ESPN now talking about the Auburn/MSU game. This one will be a bit of a story. Both new head coaches with spread offenses that want to run the ball should be interesting.

Allen: Did you have a chance to watch Pitt last weekend?
Speaking of Van Halen...I just put everything in the mail to get my free Van Halen Guitar Hero game.
