We were shaky on offense in the last qtr, but I'll take a win any time and Ole Miss is a good team. It's a great win. Now, from the depths of despair after a stellar start, again we see light. Spongeworthy said...: Number 1, no question. The one thing I see that Malzan needs to learn in the SEC is to stay out of negative plays. This business of gaining three then losing four is a killer, as is the offensive drive killing penalties. Beyond that, help is on the way I think in recruiting, and more talented players almost always make more plays.; 5:28 PM

With a new staff, a shaky QB, a new RT, new WRs, a new offense, a diminished defense, no depth, and everything else that this team has and doesn't have ... it's just plain to see that it we will win games that we shouldn't, and lose games we shouldn't. That's what teams with little experience do, and we're still a team with little significant experience.

It suits Auburn's long-term needs not to have blown out Ole Miss. It would have been fun, but it is more useful to win a battle. It shows these guys they can hang on. Be happy tonight. Be very happy.; 5:40 PM

Everything considered we are doing better than a lot of people thought we would do. If they continue to build on this and make a few more plays with better play calling we are definitely headed in the right direction.
