Radio Appearance Forthcoming
Hey everyone. I will be doing my weekly segment on SuperSport 930 out of Jackson, Miss., in a bit. That extravaganza will begin around 9:30 a.m. CDT.
We'll be talkin' Auburn and other stuff. You know how it goes.
Please enjoy.
UPDATE: It appears the stream is off at the moment. Let me see if I can get them to repair it.

I like maize with my substance
SUBSTANCE!!
DOH!
I got a conflicting edit....bummer.
Man, I hate conflicting edits.
The rain has returned to southeast TN today after almost a weeks absence.
maize is my favorite vegetable, although MrsTHT, the food expert in the family, doesn't believe me when I call it a vegetable.
Hopefully Rain will be making a quick departure as planned!
RK - It is supposed to be nice tomorrow correct?
I do love me some maize.
The wife says hello to the Hotties...I am not sure if she is serious or making fun of me.
The gametime weather tomorrow is supposed to be really nice.
The rain is supposed to be out of here this afternoon.
hello AU1N04 wifey!
Late games are tough on the visitors. That place will be rowdy come 8 pm. Hopefully they'll start passing out about the 3rd qtr.
According to weather.com, no rain tomorrow :), sunny, high of 73 and a kickoff temp around mid 60's.
Not looking good for a live version of Hatin' with Jay G :(.
Eddie, that sounds lovely!
Apparently, a power outage last night in Jackson has played havoc with the radio station's equipment. JKev assured me that while the stream may or may not work during my segment today, the "podcast" (I think of it more as a playback) will be up around noon.
Yep Eddie - still off the air - Dang It
Sucks.
She says Weagle Weagle War Damn Eagle!!
Ok, off to drive some more.
Enjoy the day.
Maize is a grain.
I like maizebread a lot.
I asked this last night...anyone going to the big U2 Show at the Ga Dome on Tuesday?
Maizebread at Martin's in the Gump is the best ever. That makes about 3 things I miss from living there.
did we get another kicker commit?
so said THTJr via phone call a short while ago.
I can't believe we'll sign two kickers and not a deep snapper ;-)
It will be nice to see what our team can do in dry weather...
I think the stream is up...The Iowans have been defeated.
grain = vegetable as far as I'm concerned. Any teaching to the contrary is yankee propaganda
SWEET- FEED IS UP AND RUNNING NOW!
Yep No. 18 commit is a punter.
Remember Chuck Long = bottom.
Live streaming in Atlanta.....Of a commercial so far.
thanks, Logan.
Just how many commercials can they run in a row anyway....
I like, drive into the Chuck Long talk.
Its just "them and the COrn".... nice quote jay
The feed keeps dropping
Speaking of Prattville...I played a game at Prattville my soph year of HS.
Yes we traveled to Prattville from TN to play a HS game.
Wow RK. Didn't realize the Rhea County Eagles would go that far.
My feed is staying true so far.
Yes and that was one heck of a bus ride back after losing 21-0.
Yeah, I'm gonna give up and listen to the podcast later.
Nice voice over Jay G on the Chizik caller.
Sorry, Loganville. We were scrambling to get the streaming fixed for you goobers.
Glad the Chuck Long reference was made.
Appreciate JKEV.
He will at least receive some Chuck Long bash mail now.
Where is Steve to change the subject to special teams or something?
Wait a minute, i'll call Steve....Tubs stunk it up at the end.
There, that ought to do it.
Nobody has mentioned Tuberville yet this morning.
Oh wait, I just did.
AND ATLANTA JKEV.
Auburn's offense punts like twice a game?
STOP IT!!! None of that talk here.
There are no Hagar songs on the Guitar Hero game.
So David Lee Roth jumping around in spandex opening for early 80's Jagger jumping around in spandex...
Aero- Does that include the block / fake per game?
It was 30-7 when we ran the fake punt.
Auburn is an early kick next week. I put cash money on that.
Martin's does have very good maizebread. Down the Street also has good maizebread.
JGT - Rock Star!!!
Nice segment as always.
Love the Tom Petty outtro.
Chuck Long was the bottom half of that Heisman duo. He lost. He was not the better player.
Thanks for listening.
I'm glad they were able to at least get the feed partially handled.
I gotta get out of here for a minute, so "First Post" will actually be around noon.
Piece and love!
Piece of what?
Speaking of corn, I was amazed to learn there is an actual game called "cornhole" a couple of weeks ago.
I doubt the people who marketed that game had a clue.
WERK,
If you make it to my tailgate, you can play cornhole!
Never a more appropriate time for Feng to show up!
I can't wait until Feng posts his game prediction tomorrow.
For those interested, here are SEC Picks for this week along with a view of Tennessee from a Tennessee Fan's Perspective:
Auburn Football Insiders Blog
WERK: He just posted his prediction. What do you mean?
Can you not read that?
Jkev,
2 demands:
1.get me the dang podcast already
2.make the dang podcast an actual podcast. I want to listen more.
on that note, I can't believe you had an early moment political rant yesterday. radio gold.
Re:cornhole
they could've called that game "prison rape" and it'd be as popular as it is. it's a great game. I really surprised to hear that people are still just now finding out about it.
Feng was a bit wordy so I might have missed the prediction somewhere between the Yoga and the Nuimage link.
Prison Rape: The Home Edition now available at Toys R Us' nationwide.
No, Cornhole might be easier to market.
According to Google Translate, this is what Feng said:
Radio La Piou of kitchen utensils
Foreign brides silicone jelly
Fashion Interior Design
Sunlight Gardens Motel
Foreclosure insulating paper
The new color plastic double-fold
Brides from mainland China, Kaohsiung Car Rental
Mid-Autumn Festival gift botulinum
Yoga classes in Kaohsiung Tourism
Health Food Cheese Cake
Taichung Accommodation Kenting Tourism
Plastic Surgery Home Technology
Sorry to miss the campfire last night. Son had baseball practice and daughter had gymnastics. I did catch some of Tiger Talk while driving the taxi, though.
I heard the "Adam Wins" guy pick TN over AU by 3 this morning...scumbag. He also picked UGA over LSU by 17.
Last thing, for any baseball fans: I was reading an article about the Tigers in SI. If they make it into the play-offs, I think I'm going to pull for them, since the Braves are out. The people in Detroit need something positive (although I'd say moving away from there would be a bigger positive than a World Series victory). Might be my first time pulling for the Tigers since they were the Montgomery Rebels parent club. Anybody remember Whitaker and Trammell on the Rebels?
Scott C- That was a good article on Detroit and also the fact that they are staying in that house to get a feeling of what it is like to live in Detroit right now.
Mmmm, foreign brides, silicone jelly, and cheesecake.
Is there really a marketing strategy for cornhole? It's caught on mostly by word of mouth/tailgating exposure. I've never seen an ad or commercial for it.
Peter- Due to Billy Mays untimely death, the ad will never see the light of day.
I have seen more "Baggo" boards than "Cornhole" boards. I think maybe the "Baggo" people saw an opportunity to get rid of a terrible name and capitalize on a good product.
Not that "Baggo" is that much better of a name, particularly when written in the same sentence with "Cornhole".
FENG THE VOLS!!!!!!
baggo is dumb. it sounds like a cheap plastic childrens game, not something sturdy enough for a tailgate.
It's called cornhole because you put the bag of corn in the hole. It makes sense.
I still think the best cornhole boards are made in someone's garage or woodshop. I've seen a lot of those mass-produced boards, and I don't like any of them.
BEAT
THE
VOLS
!
Chicago is out of Olympics Running.
There's Scottie. What's the plan?
That's the plan!
Michele Obama just flew all the way to Europe to be told that she (as a Chicago rep.) was the ugly girl, and that the IOC wants string bikinis in Rio (Madrid is also a finalist).
Well the analyst on NBC is got some splainin' to do tomorrow. He was predicting a Chicago Olympics this morning.
Hey SC,
You may see more Baggo boards down here, but in the land where cornhole began, Cincinnati, you see no Baggo boards. Baggo is an imitator. Cornhole is the best.
Peter,
I agree - the best boards are the ones that are homemade. In Cincy, they had some pretty fancy ones. Some opened up and had a cooler inside!
Chicago is an awful place with few redeeming features for a Summer Olympics. This would have been an American economic fiasco with soe nasty politics.
Rio will get it. PC ideology says that it's time for South Smerica to get an Olympics.
PF, I agree that the best CH boards are probably the homemade ones. I'm just saying that whoever makes Baggo is capitalizing on the idea. You're not going to have much success selling a game to the masses with a name that sounds dirty. The Baggo folks were also smart enough to make the game boards customizable (I've even seen an AU one) and very portable.
hi ya Eddie. Comcast guy came out and fixed internet. however, he said i have a computer problem. no internet at the crib still. sux. moving on....
looks like we're still on point to tailgate at Calhoun's on the river tomorrow. the AU Alumni Association is doing a thing there too. i know J-Z will be attending that.
there is not a large area to put up tents so i will have to get out pretty early to make sure we don't get bumped. any and all hotties are welcome to join us.
Scottie,
I'm so jealous! Have a great time.
Wow, I had never heard of Baggo. I just looked them up, and I'd say I nailed it based strictly upon the name. Those things are terrible, and not any cheaper than a solid wood official size cornhole board.
...and I doubt you see more of them in the South. Their collegiate offering is mostly midwestern schools.
I disagree, Scott Choco.
Success is in the google results. Less than 100k for baggo. ~1MM for cornhole.
Good deal Scottie. I'm still waiting to hear from my Dad on when he gets off so that I can finalize my ETA.
Norm ...
I had Martin's maizebread last Sunday.
Mrs. Jet makes excellent maizebread, too. And if I'm nice, she'll buy extra buttermilk for me so I can crumble the maizebread into it for an added treat.
dfgdrg 3t34 gerfdvdfverfgse
Secret maizebread stuffing recipe: use 1 pan of mexican maizebread to every 2 or 3 pans of buttermilk maizebread. Adds some good spice.
Okay, PF. Whatever the case, someone is making a lot of money. I wouldn't mind owning either company.
Maizebread and buttermilk--yum.
I agree. Even though I hate it.
Eddie....read the 4 prognostications at your site....nice job. Seems that almost every prediction around the interwebs see the game happening very similar. Can't remember when I've seen such consistency when predicting a close game...and everyone is picking the dog to win.
I originally thought this to be a tossup, but didn't realize that the LB and his backup were out for the game. I also wouldn't be surprised to see Mr. Isom in the game for AU.
Gonna have to agree with the masses. AU--mid 20's and UT--high teens.
38-27. That is all.
To all Iowans. Chuck Long was not fit to carry Bo's jockstrap. Please go get kiffined.
WDE! DWWD!
Auburn - 42
UT - 10
that would be Phantastic.
Jet....maizebread and buttermilk....you must have old south farmer bloodlines.
My father's birthday meal was maizebread, buttermilk, dried butterbeans, raw onion and catsup all in one bowl and heavily peppered. Mother would only serve this to him on him b'day and the rest of the family ate something else.
i hope you're right michael. I'll be surprised if we score 42 on that D
AU 38-24
Harrison, have I ever given you a reason to doubt me?
remember when you built me that helicopter and you promised it would fly...well it didn't and now both my wife's cats are dead. Other than that, no.
I've underestimated the AU offense every week this season...if AU wins 42-10, I'm gonna guzzle some orange and blue kool-aid.
Michael's prediction is my favorite.
Better than my prediction of AU-72 UT-Crying? Oh, you probably didn't read that. I keep forgetting that nobody reads my posts.
Hoop ...
My family is from Centre, which is in northeast Alabama in Cherokee County.
My mama's family were farmers who grew their own vegetables, raised their own chickens, and swapped for other meats. My grandfather dabbled in plumbing as well once that became in vogue.
My dad's father died when my dad was 5. My grandmother was the town librarian, and raised three children through the teeth of the Depression on her own.
For both sides of my family, beans, onions, cornbread, greens and the like made a great meal.
Peter,
I read it and I loved it!!
PF - you know I read it, or maybe you don't, but I did.
This comment has been removed by the author.
I read it Peter, but the only crying our D has allowed all year long was from our fans.
So it seemed a little far fetched.
Who is this "peter" you are talking to, cincy?
Harrison - for the last time, we just got our words mixed up. You definition of "fly" is different than mine. Fly can also describe something that falls incredibly fast, you know. As long as it has rotor blades or wings or something like that, if an object is not touching the ground, it is technically flying. I am an aerospace engineer, trust me on this.
so, Michael, in Aerospace Engineering
falling=flying?
i guess that would be vertical flying along the gravitational vector
I'm hitting the road in a few minutes for KNX. Looking forward to seeing ScottieB, Kristina, and the rest of the Hotties bring the hate on enemy soil.
not exactly. Sometimes rising=flying. More technically, in the air= flying. I myself am an amazing flying human at times.
i guess i deseved it for letting the cats test fly it first anyway. I guess you dont have to pay me back my 500 dollars for that copter
if I had cats, I guarantee I'd let them test fly it, but only after I made sure there was only enough fuel to get it 1000 feet into the air.
I like to fly in my dreams. More like soar. Occasionally I have to flap my arms, but usually I just glide around.
RIO! Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson (I can't tell them apart) was outraged.
Can someone tell me why the President of the United States does a billion television interviews and flies to Europe to campaign for the Olympics? Doesn't he have people to do stuff like that?
Al is the funny angry one; Jesse is the angry angry one.
JKev, I was promised a podcast by noon. It's noon.
THT - I must say that both have been the source of laughter from me.
I wish that I could fly, so very high, up to the sky, like a dragonfly.
What? Wait, something is wrong here. How high can dragonflies fly?
Jet...
Cherokee County folks are salt of the earth people. A great area of the state, IMO.
Hey,
All you Hotties going to the game in Knoxvegas, have a wonderful, safe trip top and from. Bring us back a big win. After studying all week and trying to figure things out from all that I have read, I am going with a win for AU, 24 to 17.
FSJ,
Is that a picture of Abbie in your avatar? How is she doing?
For you hip kids out there...what is a Lady GaGa?
IV.it is Abbie...She is doing fine. Thanks for asking.
We have sorta gotten into a routine now with the special vitamins and enzymes she has to take daily.
We do her chest therapy each day at the same time too so that's now become part of the routine.
We go back for another Dr's appointment on the 8th.
Lady Gaga is a pop artist who dresses like she has major daddy/self esteem issues. She's a nut.
She also doesn't want you to Poke-Her-Face...whatever that means.
FSJ,
That sounds like that young lady is doing just fine. Good luck on the doctor's appt. She certainly is cute and thank you for sharing her picture and the update.
Poker?! I barely know her.
ted william's severed head beaten with a monkey wrench.
how's that for a headline?
the link in on espn.
I had seen her dressed in bubbles on the cover of the Rolling Stone and that she is the musical guest on SNL this weekend.
Oh these kids today.
