Gene Chizik speaks ... briefly
Hey everyone. The Head Coach spoke briefly with reporters this morning about Le Bowl D'Iron and what the team will be accomplishing during the next few months.
Here is an overview ...
Here is an overview ...
- On the game: ``There were some field-position issues that I wish we would have capitalized on more than we did. We had some chances in the second half that I wish we would have been able to capitalize on. Field-position issues at the end of the day, with special teams and things of that nature, that cost us some points."
- On what Auburn will do between now and the bowl announcement: ``We'll really focus on academic world, not that we don't usually, and we're going to give our guys some time to heal up. They're beat up and bruised up. Guys were playing with all kinds of injuries. We'll give them an opportunity for their bodies to heal."
- On his decision to play Drew Cole, who may have been eligible for a medical redshirt, against Alabama: ``We wanted to make sure that we played anybody and everybody that we thought could help us win that game ... that made sense. He's been getting healthier."
- On his role in bowl selection: ``I'm worried about recruiting -- that's what I'm worried about right now. We're hitting the road asap."
- He said recruits who attended the game, who still are on campus at this hour, were enthralled with the atmosphere.

Norm on the spot.
Oh I realize there's more than Ingram. But according to ESPN he was going to win the Heisman, therefore making him the only player on your team. Just ask Tony Barnhart and the other shmuck on the broadcast that guaranteed Ingram would get his yards and your team would win by double digits. Apologies FSJ a little last minute venting. Its as though those guys based their thoughts on last year and didn't know the game was known as the Iron Bowl for a reason, not some stinkin trophy you hold up.
My love for Tebow has been fairly subdued this year, thank you very much.
I have a feeling it will be in full force this week.
You wished that those flowers he carried yesterday were going to be for you on your first date?
LOL Norm..
I about posted that very thing..
Too funny.
Is there a line yet on the game between the Circumcised and the Uncircumsised?
Mine likes Tebow. I've tried to dissuade...it's no use.
Yes ...PF, I saw that. Todzilla tends to fixate on DAdams. It's understandable and limits more opportunities than it creates..
Jet...
Bama is a 5 1/2 point underdog.
SIAP:
Groh out at UVA...
Let the rumors begin.
Official Jet Prediction ...
Infidels 28
The Foreskin Slicer 20
Hope you are correct Jet.
Bama had a much tuffer game than UF and has one extra day to prepare/rest.
Most of the season I thought Bama might be better. Now I think that UF will have the tuffness needed to keep from getting worn down by Bama and will win in a close game. A lot of the X's, O's and coaching will cancel out.
I prefer a steak dinner on a first date, you can keep the flowers.
zookeeper ...
What if he brought bread pudding?
Most bowl predictions I read have us going to Shreveport.
Bread Pudding?
LMAO.
I think FL has less of a chance of beating uat than we did. The IB set up perfectly for AU - a week off, the revenge factor, and the fact that everybody had already awarded the game to bammer before the kickoff. The uat players are human, and don't think all that didn't have an effect on them. They expected to quickly dispatch AU and then look ahead to FL. The reason we couldn't beat them is that they are just so much better than us.
I watched the game with an uncle - Ga Tech grad, and his wife, Ga State grad. I loved it just before the game when my aunt, who isn't much of a football fan, said out of the blue, "I think AL is evil." They pulled for AU just so I'd be happy. I told them before the game AU had a 20% chance of winning; raised it as high as 35% after the first 2 scores, but dropped it back to 20% at halftime.
When we went backward 16 yds after getting the ball at the 44, I dropped the odds to 10%. To me, that series was the most important of the game, and we did nothing with it. Maybe in future years we'll have the talent to score in those situations.
So congrats to FSJ and the other bammers; I think you will beat both FL and TX and can claim a NC that is at least somewhat genuine.
Bama/ Cincy in the Sugar Bowl, outta be interesting
I don't want to go to Shreveport. Could someone do something about that please?
Oh, Jet, you do know the way to girl's heart.
sorry for the posts. Phone is on the fritz. Faulty browser is proof.
I can't stand Tebow. I prefer my mohel to be a medical doctor, and not an annoying schmuck. That's just me I'm once again boycotting this game. I'm hoping for a power outage for three days in the Dome until they just give up, declare both teams losers, and put TCU in the BCSCG with Texas.
In Shreveport. Is there any particular opponent that is being brought up yet?
coosa,
I agree about the series where Auburn went backwards...That was huge...
A score there by Auburn...and we would have been toast.
sorry for the posts. Phone is on the fritz. Faulty browser is proof.

Anyone still decorating? I am, but trying to watch Outlaw Josey Wales with hubby. He has been very helpful today :) Do you think 2000 lights on an 8 foot tree are enough?
sorry for the posts. Phone is on the fritz. Faulty browser is proof.

I'd rather see us get the pizza bowl than have to go to the weedeater bowl. I might even go to the game if they play in B'ham. Bet the pizza bowl folks would love to get AU.
Yep, Zookeeper, with a stent.
I hope AU goes to either Bham or Nashville..
I might have to go see it in either of those places.
Then entire OL is pointing out blitzes to Dennis Dixon pre-snap. That's great.
I want to go to Atlanta or Nashville, or Birmingham as a last resort. My hubby says I usually get what I want, so I am expecting this to work out.
Quit confusing me, Norm. Not that it's all that hard.
And I am honored you chose me as your avatar....along with 5 other people.
Thanks Kristina,
I thought I was going crazy, but I wasn't going to let anyone else know that.
cincy,
Name a woman that doesn't get what she wants....
I've never met one.
If we were to play Texas A&M in Shreveport ... there could be some serious lack of defense.
I remember when I was in Norm's avatar.
K - if I had mad Photohsop skills, I'd have gotten rid of those other losers. Unfortunately, I do not so this is what we have.
Norm...
If you want a new avatar...I've got a pic I'll send you.
You like Roy Upchurch..don't you?
Cincy, go for 3. You can't have too many lights.
Jet - those were the days my friend, we thought they'd never end.
FSJ - to your question, what about 1/2 of a lesbian relationship?
FSJ - I meant the woman question, not Upchurch.
Norm...
LMAO.
If you can find the other half....you'll create a new level within the RoF...
Ooops...
I should have read your second post before responding...
As you were.
If you have his mugshot, I'll use it.
I was trying to figure out why he just wanted half...
Well, Jet, looks like my stint as Norm's avatar isn't gonna last all that long either....
With UF as my 2nd favorite team, i will be pulling for the Gators. i think they have as much or more talent than UAT. And they have Tebow. he will be the difference. UAT knows it he will do all he can and they will not be able to stop him.
UAT has a very good team, they just picked another year to have the 2nd best team in the nation (or 3rd). I know many of you dislike Tebow, but IMO he is the best player in college football. Reminds a lot of Flutie. The kid is just a winner. Period.
WTC... we aren't friends
I HATE Florida
I'm confused....
But, that's nothing new.
Did you guys/gals see where AU has 11 straight games next year before the week off?
I agree he's a winner wtc...and he may be the difference...
Buuuuuuutttttt.....they aren't the same offensive football team as they were a year ago, IMO.
They are a great team, but something is different.
Folks read FSJ's 8:23 post, that's what prompted my 1/2 of a Lesbian relationship comment. Get it?
As long as you don't hate me Wake!
Thanks for clearing that up, Norm.
It's fine Norm...Keep explaining.. :-P
Do all men like Outlaw Josey Wales? Hubby loves this movie and loves for me to watch it with him. I can pretty much quote the whole thing I have watched it with him so many times!
They are not the same team, but they are still very good. And as has been said many times here, to be the man you gotta beat the man. no one has beat him yet. his day may come, I just don't see it yet. And that is not 'I hope UAt loses' thought either. I think Meyer is veyr good and the team is different yes, but still very talented.
cincy,
There are a few movies I can quote...but that's not one of them.
Josey Wales is a bad dude.
My husband is the same way with that movie. There are few movies he can quote and that is one of them.
No doubt wtc...
If we get up on them we better be prepared to knock them out...
You don't let the champ off the ropes...
That is what I thought Auburn did in the second quarter...They let us off the ropes.
It's a good movie Cincy... not one I can quote.
WTC, as of now I don't hate you, but that could change as we get closer to the game.
As much as I hate UF, my money would be on the Gators if I was a betting man.
FSJ-We agree on that for sure. At the beginning of the year I thought we had an offense that once they got ahead, the coaches would mash the gas and put the opponent away. We did not do that against UK, UGA, nor UAT and it cost us in all those games.
When AU failed to capitalize after getting good field positon (where we went backwards for two plays) I was troubled. ANY points at that time makes the game a different strategy. UAT has to play for the TD instead of a slow drive where once inside the 35 theyf elt good about getitng 3 points and the lead.
Btw..
I read your report about the kid from Opelika...
That is very very very strange to me.
Surely he is Auburn bound.
Cincy ...Years ago I could quote it, but haven't seen it in a while. It's commendable of you to watch with Hubby. To help ensure marital bliss, I watch the Monday night CBS comedies with Ms. Hoopie.
BTW-Colt McCoy wins the Heisman. Ingrams' bad day took him out, IMO. However, I think he and Tebow split the southern region votes and someone like McCoy wins it all.
To help ensure marital bliss I do whatever I'm told.
WTC, where I got troubled in the game was early on. Our third drive when we didn't use any motion ran the ball once and then Todd made two straight bad throws to Trott, I felt once we slowed down on the motion plays that Alabama's D vs Todd's inconsistent arm was going to keep them in the game.
wtc,
I think that was going to be the case all along assuming McCoy played well.
Wasn't Auburn single handedly responsible for taking Darren McFadden out of Heisman contention too?
marital bliss?
Definition? Anyone?
I don't know zookeeper...but they almost put one Arkansas back into contention a few years ago.
FSJ-Not that we would not take him, but I just do not understand that one. But he is 18 and sometimes I did not understand my 18 year old either.
Dislike of other teams seems to depend on experiences.
I've had 2 awful experiences at the Swamp and with several UF fans(especially when I lived in Fl).
I respect Tebow on many levels. Watching the Sat morning ESPN tributes to Tebow, I realized that he is complicit in some of those film productions that are hyping him. That is disappointing.
FSJ-We agree again (dang it). I felt all along that he would win it hands down if he had a decent year. Some feel he was overlooked when Bradford won it. I think he gets votes because of last year.
The heisman long ago turned into a career college thing. If Ingram has a very good year next year, he will be in the running for it from the start and can garner much more notority.
btw...regarding the onside kick....
The only way I can see that you could combat the one that Auburn used is to attack the ball before it goes ten yards..If you wait for it you are dead. I was terribly disappointed in that.... I think everybody in the stadium knew it was coming.
One more thing...Will Bob Costas ever age?
Or is he going to be the next Dick Clark?
Whoever said Vince isn't that good is delusional.
Alabama and Florida are both good, well coached and Deep with talent teams. Neither will fold under pressure so I think the breaks will be the deciding factor. But not just breaks but which team takes advantage of the breaks.
IMUO
that was a pretty good on side kick. I was impressed by the way it was set up and executed.
I heard somewhere that the Heisman is awarded for the most Outstanding player.
Seems that Colt McCoy is the most outstanding player. He makes more of a difference to his team than Tebow or Ingram.
So Sean you ready to put Vince in the Hall of Fame too?
So Stoops says that he will not interview for the Notre Dame job should it come open... That was his denial?
Anybody think that Stoops "interviews" for any job at this point?
Not saying he's HOF good, but the guy is a baller. His winning percentage of games started since he game into the league is off-the-charts good. It seems he's only getting better. That's the scary part.
Stoops would be nuts to go to ND. He now makes $4mil/yr. Is more necessary? ND may be too far from talent pools to be revived.
I'm really hoping Meyer goes to Notre Dame, if Bama beats UF I think there is a 33% chance he goes. Obviously its not going to happen if he is gearing up for the NC game. I don't think there is anyway Saban goes. If he had already won a championship there I would say there would be a slight chance. But he is going to want at least 1, probably 2 championships before he would move on.
I don't really see Stoops going either...but thats just me.
Hoopie,
Many columnists (Hi Neal McCready) said the same thing about the Alabama job in 2006. If Notre Dame gets the right coach they will be back.
Tuberville to Notre Dame. Now wouldn't THAT be a hoot.
He could get some Fear the Thumb shirts to use against USC...
Sean I gotcha. Vince is a pretty fine QB when he's got his head on straight. But when given the question 300 something yds passing and no touchdown? I just love the fact that he's outplaying Leinart .... again!!
ND would never hand over the keys to Saban, so why he would he go? Saban gets everything he wants, has almost completed training the fans and press and is worshipped ...don't see him going anywhere.
Dooley to UVA.
Look for ND to make a BIG splash after next weekend.
Another Tebow retrospective on ESPN right now..
Gag.
Agreed Hoopie.
I know you think Saban wtc...
Any reasons why?
I could see him going, but do not think he will. However, if he went, at 10-2 or 11-1, ND would prolly be in the BCS each year and they have the national media on their side more than any other school.
Alabama needed a coach that demanded full authority so that the old guard couln't interfere.
ND is in the wrong geographic area to be able to get enough talent to be consistent top tier.
I don't think he goes, I think they make a run at him though. I hpoe he stays where he is. 'Cause when AU wins next year, it will be sweet revenge.
Hoopie-I will disagree on that one. ND gets a lot of talent. They have a lot of talent on the offensive side now, they not much on defense, but Weiss is the problem there.
anyone think there is a slight chance Tim Tebow is gay?
no
I don't care for Tim Tebow but have you seen his (presumed) ex. That chick was smokin hot.
JHAG .....Many strong Christain kids I know talk in a style similar to Mr. Tebow.
I will say however, that those kids don't nuzzle their coaches.
Cincy - Any righteous man should like Outlaw Josey Wales. MrsTHT won't ever watch it with me, though :-(
Outlaw Josey Wales and It's a Wonderful Life are my top two favorite movies of all time.
btw, y'all Hotties sure have been busy while I was away today.
just the way he talks and stuff, I dont i guess i just dont like that guy
I'm a Tebow fan. I think he is the best player in college football. Period. His stats may not be as flashy this year, but if I had to round up a college football team from current players, he'd be my first choice.
I think Tebow deserves the Heisman. But I think it will go to Colt McCoy, barring a disaster on Saturday. That Stanford RB is awfully impressive. Ingram? Not so much. I still am shocked at the Heisman hype he was receiving.
I don't think Tebow has done much to deserve the Heisman this year, but then again not many have. I think the only way he has a shot is if he puts the team on his back and beats Bama in a shootout. But since I don't think Bama is capable of engaging in a shootout against any defense much less UF's I don't think he wins it.
I don't hate Tebow, I am not a big fan of his theatrics on the field, but overall he seems like a good guy.
That being said I hate Meyer with every inch of my body. Same goes for UF as a whole.
Colt McCoy 3,328 yards 27 td's
Timmy 2,166 yards 17 td's
im not a mathematician but...Colt gets it this year
yes, McCoy will get more votes than Tebow because too many voters equate outstanding stats to "outstanding player". McCoy is a truly outstanding player, and so is Tebow. But voters will go with the stats. And I'd still go with Tebow for my QB.
THT, is drdra your alter ego?
Coosa - until UF or UA-T beats TCU, neither can claim their NC as "genuine."
who the heck is drdra? I feel sort of like the Sylar/Nathan dude tonight.
hi cincy,
I was doing some work stuff and forgot to log out of the group google acc't. I'm retarded. But I still love Outlaw Josey Wales!
No way THT, I'm sorry but no should automatically deserves a shot at the national title. If they want automatic consideration, they will find a way to get into a BCS conference.
An argument can be made for Cincy getting screwed, TCU is not getting screwed.
Colt doesn't have nearly as good of a surrounding staff as Tebow and he makes much more of a difference to his team.
I respect both player's personal values.
Cincinnati hasn't finished their season, yet, Wakerider. So Cincinnati has no argument at all as of today. TCU has completed their season undefeated.
TCU is #1.
GO HORNED FROGS!!!
I hope Colt wins it. He's a great kid.
Tebow would still be my starting QB.
Very true THT, assuming Cincy wins saturday, THEN I would say they have an argument of getting screwed assuming they are left out of the championship. Just like we were screwed in 04. Granted I think our 04 team was far superior to this year's Cincinnati team (or any team this year to be honest with you), but its still bullshit that a team can go undefeated in a BCS conference and not play for a championship.
A non BCS team plays every year for a conference championship and a spot in a BCS bowl. If they find themselves in the NC game well they pulled a great feat. But it shouldn't be expected.
Just My humble opinion.
Go Horned Frogs. TCU, TCU, TCU.
i think the bcs is mostly bs. I also think TCU could beat any of the other undefeated teams, but we'll never know.
Imagine Colt with Tebows weapons...
especially last years weapons
wait a second lets look at who TCU has beaten...
Virginia... worst team in the ACC
Texas State Uni...who?
Clemson...(14-10)alright best win
SMU...SMU
Air Force...(20-17) cmon.
Colorado State...Colorado State?
BYU...FSU beat them by more
UNLV...they still have a football team?
San Diego State...yeahhhhh
Utah...
Wyoming...man HUGE WIN!
and New Mexico...WOW
I think a lot of teams would go undefeated with that record
FSU beat BYU by less, not more.
This weekend sucks for me, had to watch Auburn and the Steelers lose to their biggest rivals.
At least the Titans won.
Just checkin in. How's it going, everyone?
The Big LEast has no more business being a BCS conference than the MWC does.
And most importantly, only the MWC can claim a perfect bell-shape curve in their conference standings:
* - TCU 8-0
* - BYU 7-1
* - Utah 6-2
* - Air Force 5-3
* - Wyoming 4-4
x - UNLV 3-5
x - SDSU 2-6
x - N.Mex 1-7
x - Col State 0-8
It's going great, Michael. Now that you're here, I can go to sleep. Prison awaits in 7 hours.
Sweet dreams, Hotties!
Good night, sweet prince.
I'm no prince. i'm just a serf.
or maybe a Serb. I can't remember.
Jhag I agree with you and it doesn't matter to me that he's gay, but when he comes out it will create some interesting conversations.
Who will be shopping for a new coach this year?
anybody know how often there isn't at least one HC change in the SEC? Most of the time? Rarely? I don't have a clue.
Last time there wasn't a head coaching change in the SEC following a season was 2005. Before that, you have to go back to the twentieth century to find the next time there wasn't a coaching change after a season.
Looks like 2009 may end of being one of those aberrations as well. Definitely don't expect anybody to get fired. If anyone leaves, it will be of their own volition.
Off to work. I don't expect too much talk from most of the Bama fans. There will still be those that didn't watch the game and will come to MY office to harass me.
We need the coaching carosel to crank up. I really don't want to discuss the SECCG, bowl seatings and/or the Heisman all week.
I mean recruiting is sortof quiet, Lowder has been neutered and we like our coach, so there's not much AU substance to discuss. After several years of constant controversy, the void is suddenly apparent. I suppose we should rejoice that this is a sign of AU football program health.
This is one of those times that sportswriter JGTate usually shines with some sortof goody.
Good news ...Tiger said that the wreck was his fault and it won't happen again. I guess that settles it.
According to infidelity statistics, women and men are equally likely to cheat.
Why do the news/gossip shows jump all over a male's infidelity and ignore most female infidelities?
Off to work.
Morning, Hotties! What are we going to talk about today?
Someone throw a good rumor out there for us to chew on :)
I'm out for most of the day. Y'all have a swell one.
If a Bammer says to me today at work -- in an unsolicited fashion -- that the reason the game was close was that we scored on trick plays, I will shoot them.
Please raise bail money for me and for my defense fund.
A reverse is not a trick play if you've run it once or twice a game all season long. It's no more a trick play than, say, faking a handoff and throwing a winning touchdown pass off a bootleg.
If you throw a backwards pass to a QB lined up as a wide receiver, it ain't a trick play, it's obvious.
The only "trick" play I saw from Auburn was the onsides kick, on which Auburn tipped its hand in a textbook situation to run an onsides kick.
Good morning, Hotties! UGH. It's so hard to come back to work after having four days off.
Tebow vs. McElroy
Who would you pick? I'm going with a former Heisman Trophy winner and the one that has started for the last three years. Besides that, I HATE UAT!
Jet, aren't most comments by bammers unsolicited?
A sad day ... the Hotel Talisi is a total loss due to a fire.
How many days till signing day :)!!!!!
McCoy wins the Heisman.
The kid from stanford wins the
Doak Walker (Ingram lost it Saturday and the Stanford won it Saturday)
AU has 22 kids committed now. Can sign only 28 to get 25 in. Looks like all but one are on pace to get in.. So if they have 4 slots left, who do they take?
CJ Moseley (LB)
VBeasley (LB)
EMack (OL)
MLattimore (RB)
The Whittaker kid (DL)
The Thornton Kid (DL)
The Stone kid (OL)
Really need at least 1 or 2 more DB's.
(Assuming all the above choose AU)
Jet,
Don't shoot to kill, just do what the kids do today and shoot in the leg, then you don't get attempted murder charges.
McCoy or Tebow win Heisman. I think Ingram fell off the radar. If Tebow has a big game and Florida wins the SEC CG, I say Tebow, if not, I say McCoy.
So sad to hear about Hotel Talisi. We used to eat there almost every Sunday when we were students. Best fried chicken I ever ate, except my grandmother's. And good pies, mmmmm.
I think McCoy won it Thursday night.
This is the stuff that Jet is referring to:
On the AU message board (free site) some goob posts that AU had two weeks prepare and if UAT had two weeks the outcome would be different:
(sorry for the length)

Seriously?? Lemme guess..this is a gotcha, ain't it? You seriously trying to make a point with this flacid material (yes...I used flacid..it fits here). Okay, I pray yer writter game (g'dm Mongolians!!)
You know, you're exactly right. After that brutal slobber-knocker you endured vs. Chattanooga last week, it's totally plausible that we would see an utterly-depleted and flacid bama team. If you guys were whipped in your victory over Chatt...just imagine what they would do to us. I mean, geez, if we had been tasked with having to confront the juggernaut that is Chattanooga, I believe we'd just save everyone the time and forfeit the bama game. What little chance we had vs. you guys would be poof...gone. Gone like Mike Price after after that rollin' night in the cola.
I'm glad you pointed out that we were abnormally well prepared after our lengthy and restorative two weeks of rapturous leisure that we spent on bora bora (or was it cabo??). We were off so long I can't remember. Is now a good time to set fire to that small glimmer of hope that I extracted in our close loss "moral victory" to your clearly superior and praise-worthy football team? I appreciate your helping me to evade the broken spirit that I would most certainly have incurred should I have clung to the frivolous hopes that Chizik could actually coach, and that AU actually had talent, vastly improved recruiting, and genuinely enviable prospects for future success.
Where do I mail your Christmas present?
Sincerely,
Appropriately crestfallen Auburn fan.
Love the response.
Any bama fan that plays that card is in denial. They better be worrying about Florida, which by the way played FIU the week before and it still managed to destroy Florida State. Like I said, I hope they enjoy the Sugar Bowl again. I wonder if they lose to TCU if it would be the Fans fault also?
wtc,
That just made my day! Thank you so much for the laughs to get this Monday started.
Nice
As my friend said earlier, bammers can spin anything.
So, Jay G, looking at rankings, you giving hope to Pitt knocking off Cincy? That Pitt didn't get to WVU's QB much/often last week when they dropped that one, may be telling.
It's only the educated bama fans with common sense that will admit how well Auburn played and that it could have easily gone the other way.
From what I gather about what he's been saying this morning (I don't listen to Jox), Jay Barker does NOT fall into above category.
We had our food tasting for our wedding on Saturday. I received these two texts from a stupid bammer who may have just secured himself a seat with the most annoying relatives I can find:
Any elephant feet on your tasting menu?
I let that one slide...This one, I didn't.
Any moral victories on your tasting menu?
Morning Hotties - this morning I backed out of my driveway, drove to the end of my block and then took a slight left (a dogleg if you will) for about 300 yards. This means I outdrove Tiger Woods.
PF, is your response something you can share here?
Just took a look on cbs sportsline to see what the "experts" thought about the Heisman. I don't have any idea if these guys havea a vote, nor do I know when they were polled for this, but their consensus was 1 Ingram 2 Gerhart 3 McCoy 4 Moore 5 Spiller
cbs sportsline Heisman
ESPN has backed off the Ingram Heisman Campaign. That is all you need to know about his chances to win. If ESPN isn't on board, then you have NO SHOT. I hate the Heisman. It is not the award it once was. If you are not on the best team, you rarely ever get a sniff unless you just have ridiculous number as Tebow did when he won. Sorry, I hate popularity contests and that is all the Heisman is....a joke.
tommyd,
That was from last week. I bet none of them have him # 1 this week.
Luv,
My initial response was just to call him the three letter word for butt. My real response is the revenge I'm planning for him being one of those.
Thank you WERK, I thought it was kind of strange.
Yeah, ESPN is squarely in the Colt McCoy corner. Not that he doesn't deserve it. He's been good for years. ESPN jumps on the hot property faster than a real estate mogul.
Toby Gerhart has a lot of heart, but he's as slow as molasses.
I don't care if he's slow if he runs over peeps as he did in the ND game. What he's done this year might actually be more impressive considering his lack of speed.
Took a look at some stats for Gerhart. That kid has done some work this year.
His performance Saturday proved that this year Notre Dame can't tackle anyone. Period.
while I agree somewhat, you're a hater. No credit for the kid who accomplished something...
PF, most of the voters probably won't give him credit either...
ND and tackling just don't mix.
We're in the Red Zone again.
I love it. Discuss an opinion and don't agree = hater.
This blog is now al.com
good morning.
GO GATORS!
Sensi's always a glass half empty guy...or maybe a glass has been shattered and the shards exploded in his eye guy.
However, definately not a glass half full guy.
I don't think we disagree on anything concerning Gerhart, Sensi. I was just pointing out that you're a hater. I still love you.
XoXo,
PF.
Gerhardt has done well in the PAC 10. The speed and gang tacking in the SEC would eat him up. I'm sure he would still create good highlights while trucking someone though.
Prolly will have a good pro career like Heath Evans.
Norm ...the olfactory senses are tingling
You're a hater, too, hoopie.
I believe there is a glass.
Whether or not is is half empty of half full doesn't really concern me.
I see the glass.
I'm not and never will be a homer. Just not in my blood.
I'm a hater, she's a hater, he's a hater. Wouldn't you like to be a hater too?
The glass is always full of something. It could be partially full of some beverage and the remaining volume of the glass is full of air.
That's my outlook on it.
I'm on board the sunshine pumping Toby Gerhart express.
Do you go out of your way to not appear as a Stanford homer, though?
i really have no clue what yall are hating about this morning.
i have been & will continue to HATE bama. especially this saturday.
once again, GO GATORS.
I will never under any circumstances root for UAT to win. There are some times when I may root for their opponent to lose if that helps out AU. Other than that, I hope UAT loses every game, contest, match, or anything else where their people come up against another team.
Go extended Georgia Dome power outage!!
Go misplaced team equipment trucks!!!
Go Swine Flu causing a massive quarantine of the campuses in Tuscaloosa and Gainesville, where the feds come in and fence it all off, not letting anyone in or out for two weeks!!!!
it's slowing down, Norman.
I'm tired of waiting.
I'm about to have to get on a con-call.
Jay G's gonna be here soon.
So with that said
I'm flipping this page.
