The latest from practice
Hey everyone. I have finished transcribing some interviews, including an epic chat with Walt McFadden, and my story for tomorrow.
So let's see what we learned today.

So let's see what we learned today.
- I saw LB Eltoro Freeman walking in a boot. Gene Chizik, as expected, had no comment on Freeman's prognosis or availability.
- You'll love this. How about OT Lee Ziemba talking about penalties: ``They’re killing us. We’ve got to stop committing those errors. It’s all about the fundamentals. If you do the fundamentals right you’re not going to commit those penalties."
- Walt McFadden on problems he had early in his career: ``(David Gibbs) told me I was going to the NFL. Most coaches tell you that cornerbacks have to tackle. He still had that NFL mentality. He said: 'You don't get paid to tackle. You guard guys.' When I started guarding guys, Coach Tub jumped on me for not tackling. I didn't know who to listen to. It kinda got to me. Coach Tub said I wasn't going to play until I started tackling. Gibbs was telling me I didn't have to tackle. I was doing what my coach told me. It set me back."
- TB Onterio McCalebb said he felt "real good" at practice today. He's been dealing with a high-ankle sprain.
- QB Chris Todd on today's emphasis at practice: ``The big thing is looking at all the details, fixing the little mistakes that kind of hurt ourselves on. And we made that a point today, and we’ll continue to do that, just not making mistakes and putting ourselves in bad situations.
- Gus Malzahn on the effect of (players) taking two days off: ``I think it helps a lot -- we have not had any off time at all to get our guys to mentally refresh. We had some tired guys, there’s no doubt, physically and mentally. As far as coaches, probably the same way. Anytime you’re playing a very good opponent the more time you have to prepare -- that will definitely help."
- McFadden told reporters last week that he thought A.J. Green and Julio Jones were the two best receivers in the league ... but that he liked one more than the other. Now he's coming clean: ``I like A.J. Green. He reminds me of a Randy Moss-type of receiver. Randy Moss -- I'm a big fan of his. I compare those two as receivers, so I kind of have to slide toward A.J. Green."

Bob Seger can't compare to the Great Norm!
TONYFRAK....
dang, hole closed.
I gotz mad skillz.
867 nanoseconds. That's how fast I said tonyfranklin. Those NFL holes do close fast!
I got hate skillz.
Have I told you guys lately how much I hate UAT?
HATE
HATE
HATE
i feel it.
HATE.
Mad Skillz?
Did someone say Mad Skillz?
Yeah I did. You wanna make something of it Bammer?
E-bro,
Tate has had a great year, I just prefer it when players let their numbers do the talking.
THT, there is nothing more special than a family hating together.
The family that hates together, stays together.
Keep Hate Alive
Luv - I'm lovin' your hate! You make me proud! To be able to hate like that without being born with it says volumes about your character, wisdom, and judgment.
HATE ON!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jet, mad hate skilz?
Don't make me go Brandon Deadrick on you Norm.. :-p
that was supposed to be a :-P at the end.
yep, we love to be together so we can HATE together. The hate spews forth from deep within our merry souls, hate spilling forth out of every pore and directly at UA-T. Either that or I forgot to use deodorant this morning.
Tar Heel, I think I've told this before (memory thing again), but the longer I live the here, the more the HATE grows.
Put a little HATE in your heart everybody.
Well, if you did, you may just end up shot.
Good point Norm!
I try Faker, I do try.
RK...me too. Wasn't happy about it either, but I'll gladly let him redeem himself next week.
Norm, there is no try. Only Hate.
Norm with the clutch 222 post, which reminded me of that great show, Room 222. I forgot that St. Elsewhere's Eric Laneuville was on Room 222.
Yes, that's a bit off topic.
I was born on 2/22... although I'm not sure what that has to do with anything.
it has to do with your whole life!
as Mike Lange would say, "Well buy Sam a drink and get his dog one, too!"
I've just been told I'm done for the day!!! Early start on the long commute.
Later, HOTTIES!!! Keep on HATIN'!!!
Brother Jet's Sing-A-Long ...
I got the HATE FOR UAT down in my heart! Where? Down in my heart! Where? Down in my heart!
I got the HATE FOR UAT down in my heart! Down in my heart to stay!
And if Saban doesn't like it, he can sit on a tack! Ouch! Sit on a tack! Ouch! Sit on a tack!
And if Saban doesn't like it, he can sit on a tack! Sit on a tack to stay!
WERK - I don't have to try to hate, it comes as naturally to me as does breathing. I only meant I occasionally try to make a good point.
THT - Room 222, Karen Valentine, Michael Constantine, Eric Laneuville. I vaguely remember that show, I was a bit young for that one. But St. Elsewhere is a different story. That one I remember quite well since it was one of my favorites.
Keep Hate Alive
Tiger Rags has let me down all year long, but they have redeemed themselves with this one.

Is the Klan on an official visit? Or an unofficial? Commitable offer yet?
Hotties: Here's my current conundrum with background:
I'd signed up and paid to run in the Atlanta Marathon which is held on Thanksgiving Day. This was to have been my first full length marathon. That being the case, we weren't going to my in-laws in Troy for Thanksgiving and no one there expected to be seeing us. Thanks to my exploding eye, I can't run. Now that the running plans have been changed for me, the Thanksgiving plans have also changed. So I'm driving to Prattville on Saturday morning to bring my daughter back over here until probably 12/6. Then we were going to go to Troy for Thanksgiving with my hot wife going Tuesday and my daughter and I going sometime Wednesday. My hot wife and I had figured to take separate vehicles since I wanted to be back home by around mid-morning on Friday after Thanksgiving to watch the game in my own home. So this all amounts to three separate 400+ mile round trips by me in the Tahoe in about a week's time with the accompanying 16+ hour drive time and gas expense. But, I was willing to do it. So this morning, hot wife says it would make more sense for my daughter and I to just skip coming to Troy. On the face of it, this seems like a mighty fine offer as going to Troy is excruciatingly boring for me. But looking deeper, hot wife could well be setting me up for an epic fail.
What to do, what to do?
Keep Hate Alive
Norm, you compromise.
You and the daughter travel with hot wife to Troy on hot wife's designated travel day. Purchase 5 tickets to the game on Friday and drive up from Troy with daughter and hot wife for the game (the other two tickets are for me and my hot wife... Thanks, by the way, for the tickets! Really appreciate it!). After the game, head back to your home with daughter and hot wife in tow.
Cuts down on travel, appeases (and scores points) with hot wife and in laws. Entertain yourself and daughter with game. It is a win win win on all accounts.
Make it happen.
