Auburn to Outback? You'll have to wait

Hey everyone. This is just a short update.

Auburn may or may not be locked into the Outback Bowl, but that announcement will not occur today. Or tomorrow. Or the next day.

Mike Schulze, the bowl's communications director, said his bowl will not publicly reveal its participants until Sunday afternoon. He initially told reporters to expect an announcement tonight.

If we pull off a NYD bowl it will be a HUGE win for CGC and the Auburn Program....

It will also piss off a lot of people who should be playing on NYD

From the previuos thread:

The Murano is NOT a chick car. It is a chick magnet.

Seriuosly, it is a very good, reliable vehicle. I have a 2004 Murano with 72k miles. Bought brand new. Only trouble was I replaced the battery yesterday. Never once had to go to the shop for anything. Would reccomend it to anyone that wants an SUV on a car chasis for a smoother ride. BTW-I sold a Chevy Tahoe to get this vehicle. I needed a vehicle that was comfortable for me. At 6'4" and 225, not all vehicles are comfortable to drive. This one is.

One thing I noticed about the replay of the game that was just on that CBS sports channel is that the UA/AU players are much more civil to each other when the game was over than the fans are generally.

Also saw James Willis hugging alot of Auburn players.

I don't really have a dog in the UF-UA hunt. I don't really care for either of them, but the game is good for the SEC. My guess is that whoever wins will have the honor of getting spanked by Texas.

Hi Cincy! Thanks for that advice. I had been trying to set it on the ipod. I found the shuffle button on the remote and tried it. It shuffled to the next song and started repeating again (Kentucky Rain). Tried it again and then heard Father Christmas by ELP about 3 times. I'm now listening to The Night They Drove Ol' Dixie Down by The Band and almost wishing it will repeat!

Rats... I wasn't really wishing that. I have no idea what's going on with this thing.

Cincy - mine is more messed up. When I got out of the shower, it had moved on to Barry McGuires "Eve of Destruction", without me pressing any more buttons. Manningham vs Dallas
Jeremy Maclin @ Atlanta

I'm tempted to go with Colston and Chambers, but I know as soon as I sit Ochocinco, he's gonna open up a big day. Maclin is probably a #1 now for Philly with DeSean Jackson out, so it might be worth taking a chance on him.

If we could get at least 20 (with max of 24) tickets ordered, we could guarantee section 232, with the cost about $10 more per ticket.

it would leave AU high and dry. But I have no intentions of going to Tampa just so I can sit on the 4th row in the end zone. I'd love that for hockey, not for football. From the stadium diagram, it looks like the tix alloted to the schools are mostly end zone. The seats allotted in the upper deck aren't ideal since they are on the lower rows of the upper deck. There is a walkway that runs the length of the upper deck, so people would constantly be passing right in front.

THT ...we're working on going, but not sure if we can rearrange stuff. Like Cincy, I would rather wait for the official announcement and maybe can rearrange by then anyway.

I'm betting that the 20-24 seat offer will be open until the announcement anyway. We will do it if the stars align correctly.

"We're not doing a lot of campaigning like other schools. We'll go where they tell us to go." Steve Spurrier, USC coach.

Wonder who he's talking about? Hmmm?

hooray for Coach Spurrier. he can spend his holiday in Shreveport or Birmingham.

Guaranteeing many ticket sales ....It's interesting to see what happens when the PTB are actually supporting the coach instead of undermining.

Next thing you know, well get that indoor practice facility.

The 100 yard indoor facility will happen way before a stadium expansion.

Ah, I love Spurrier. Always there to needle someone when he's upset.

He should follow Bowden's lead and just retire. His schtick has run its course.

JayGT -

these careful Hotties have got me scared we're going to bounce back into Shreveport. Have you and/or PMarsh and the ITAT folks bought plane tickets to Tampa? If so, I'll go ahead and get mine.

I like Spurrier hanging around, he gives the league some personality.

reportedly, AU Club/scholarship/suite season ticket holders will be able to purchase Outback Bowl club (yellow section) seats. They are only $150 apiece. These seats include section 233. For $80, I could be quite content across the aisle in section 232.

THT I will be attending the Outback Bowl (if Auburn makes it)alone. I would be happy to purchase a ticket with you in any section. Let me know amount and give me an address and I will send money ASAP
