Basketball roundup
Hey everyone. The Auburn men lost to Sam Houston State this afternoon at Beard-Eaves Memorial Coliseum.
You read that correctly.
The Bearkats hit 58 percent of their shots from the field, including a 15-of-28 performance from three-point range. Forward Gilberto Clavell scored 34 points.
``It's obviously a frustrating game," Auburn head coach Jeff Lebo said. ``They came in here and just punched us in the face, and we didn't respond. Offensively, they were so good. Clavell just manhandled us. He absolutely hammered us, and we didn't have any answer for him."
Auburn's record fell to 5-6.
AUBURN WOMEN: Nell Fortner's Tigers were far more successful Sunday, earning a 71-50 win at South Alabama. Center KeKe Carrier continued her remarkable emergence with 23 points.
The Tigers are 8-3.

Hey Ho, Lebo's gotta go
2.0 says WARRRRRR EAGLE!!!
Hey 2.0. Glad you are okay and in good hands. See you soon.
I got a conflicting edit with IV's stupid, unsubstantial post.
You call them like you see them don't you Snacks. One idiot to another.
here's 2.0's post from the end of the prior thread:
THT 2.0 said...
Good News Hotties!
As THT has already told you, I'll be home in time for the Outback Bowl! AND i socialized and made some friends.
Can't wait to see y'all in the Hottie section!
damn skippy, geezer. :-)
Sadly, PF, I agree. I wanted him have a chance in the new arena. Not gonna happen. And it shouldn't save some miraculous turnaround. We lost to the Sam Houston Institute of Techology.
More cow bell Snacks, give me more cow bell.
Sam Houston State? Goodness gracious. They have a good team and all this year, but an SEC team ought to handle that.
Didn't just lose.
Took a beating, through and through.
Did Auburn look disorganized Jay?
I'm a big fan of Lebo, but geez, it's just ridiculous to lose to some of these teams.
I didn't attend this game.
HABOTN sources confirm the game wasn't close.
anybody watch the Penn State vs Texas women's volleyball championship last night? It was a great match and there was some pretty good volleyball going on.
Jay G,
is Auburn's Men's BBall team well coached?
Sorry about that Jay, I thought you were there.
I'm embarrassed by Lebo's coaching performance this year.
I watched the first 2 games THT. Imagine my surprise when I heard today that Texas didn't win.
A lot of teams have good strategists on the bench.
Auburn needs someone who can recruit.
I'd hire Rick Stansbury.
So who will we get to coach the opening game at the new arena?
Calipari can recruit...bammer/USCw style.
here's an update on USC RB Joe McKnight's girlfriend's Land Rover.
Yes, a LAND ROVER!
Don't worry, it's Southern Cal. It'll be like water off a duck.
Would Stansbury make that jump from a program he has at a pretty decent level to rebuilding Auburn?
I'd take him, because you gotta think they are going to put some effort into rebuilding this program with the new arena.
More money and a first-rate facility. Not a bad draw.
from the article linked above...
"Scott Schenter, a Santa Monica, Calif., businessman, said the car is driven by Johana Michelle Beltran -- McKnight's girlfriend -- and that he helped purchase the Land Rover because Beltran's family had trouble qualifying for a loan."
Wow! And they didn't think to try buying a non-luxury car that they could afford? PUH LEEEEEEEEEZ
maybe AU should hire Bob Marlin to coach men's basketball
Bob Marlin.
He's proven he can win in the SEC ;-)
Is the jet warming up?
It should be.
I'd be surprised if Stansbury left the Hump for Auburn. Facilities and money aside (which State may try to match if it came to money), I think he's probably pretty loyal to State at this point to at least not make a move within the division.
Besides that, the two programs don't even really compared for my money. They've made it to the Final Four before (1996) and pretty consistently make the Tourney. I think it'd be a step down for him at this point to be honest.
THT...concerning the Plains, Trains, and Automobiles Saga of 2.0, sucks that she won't make it home till Xmas day in all probability. Sorry to hear that.
I will say this, though. There are far worse places than Munich to be holed up in for a few days. And few better. Easily one of my favorite travel destinations.
Shaka Smart! Shaka Can!
I hoped Lebo would have a good year and get a chance to show what he could do with a better arena for recruiting. Now, it's hard to envision a realistic scenario that results in Lebo being here next year. We're going the wrong direction.
From a firm supporter - LEBO MUST GO!
How do you lose to a team like Sam Houston State.
In basketball if they are hot from15 feet you press from 20 ft on in. If they are hot from 30 feet you press them from 40 feet on in. If they are hot from beyond that you start pressing when they get off the bus.
Amen digger.
FSJ at least Bama tried by gettting a new coach. It takes time for a new coach to get things going. But not 5 + years.
Who do you think Auburn's new basketball coach will be?
This basketball team is not good. Knox plays like he drank a bottle of Niquel. I think he played 15 minutes before fouling out. Hargrove defend anyone that plays Upward baskteball. And Reed has never seen a shot he didn't like. AU runs so many, scratch that. they don't ru any offensive plays. Pass it around before Reed shoots it is all they do. When they get beat by Al State Tuesday (I will be there) they will be crowned the worse team in this state.
BTW-I don't follow basketball or the recruting of basket ball players, but I know other than Sullivan, these guys are stealin' scholly money.
By the way, you all know I believe in sticking behind Auburn coaches, but five years with really no success to speak of is long enough. I appreciate Lebo's efforts, but if for no other reason, the players need Auburn to give them a better chance for success. It doesn't look like Lebo is the answer. In my opinion 4 or 5 years is more than enough time for any coach to show some kind of progress. I don't follow basketball closely, but I haven't seen anything that would make me think things are going to improve.
I hope I am wrong, but I think that Jacobs gives Lebo another year as promised that he would get into the the arena.
bring in Bobby Knight just to see him strangle calipari's neck instead of shaking his hand.
one the=new.
E-Bro,
I hate to agree, but it's a step down from Miss State to Auburn in hoops...and it should never be that way at all.
I take back the stetement about BKnox. He is flippin' 6'10". played a stinkin' 9 minutes, fouled out and never took a free throw. he is the stinkin' center and never took a free throw.
Cut him loose now.
Now there is a good idea. Bring in Bobby Knight I would like to see him throw a chair at Pearl just to see the sweat make it slide the length of the court.
Sam Houston State's best player, a 3pt specialist, went down with an injury about 9 minutes into the game. AU was close at that point. The sub came in and AU collapsed.
He would bring some excitement digger. Right now, Lebo might want to rescshedule the games so they play before the women and maybe there will be a crowd by the time the mens' game ends. They can be the warm up for the lady tigers.
RK...yeah, I just don't think there is any comparison with the two programs in the last 10-15 years. It DOES suck to think that given the comparable resources of the two schools, but it's the truth. Maybe that can change in the future.
Building a new arena hopefully is just the beginning of a stronger commitment to AU b-ball. Lebo seems like a decent, honest guy, but he just doesn't seem to be made for big boy college basketball. It happens. Let's see if we can find one who can handle it.
How did this team take a Florida St. team that upset #15 Georgia Tech tonight to the wire last Thursday night?
DReed is a carerr 37% shooter. Why is he on the court launching anything but the tshirts from an air gun during timeouts?
Where can we see the So Miss and Middle Tenn game tonight?
ESPN WTC
as much as I love college football, I don't know if I'll be able to stick with this game tonight. The meerkat manor may cause some serious psychological damage.
wow our bball team is a joke
Jay G hit it ... he can coach ... he Xs and Os better than most. But he can't attract difference makers.
What up hotties. I watched most of the game. AU was horrible in every way. They don't block out, they don't guard anyone, and don't guard anyone away from the ball. This may be the worst I've seen them. Watched the second half of the FSU game, and they looked like a different team than today.
Jet, normally I agree that Lebo can coach. But to your point, he has not been able to recruit and keep any difference makers. You only need one or two in basketball and you can win.
I don't buy that he can even coach. I well coached team doesn't give up 31 PF's while only drawing 18 and then hitting 50% from the line. A well coached team draws up plays that can be run with the talent he has. Not just has his guys play street ball.
I see no signs of a well coached team.
yikes. we are horrible, eh?
This team must not be too smart against minor teams they think they can throw there jock straps out on the court and win. But all they do is stink up the old arena.
I think normally he can coach well. I don't see any signs of good coaching on this team. I was told after the Troy loss he was in big trouble. I believe this loss seals his fate. AU will have a new coach next year, weather they open the new arena w/ NC or Grambling. AU shot callers have run out of patience.
By the way, Jay, IMHO, Rick Stansbery is NOT the guy. He is trash. AU would be on probation within two years. Heard an SEC insider comment regarding Lebo when he was hired. "He's a great guy. He's a great coach. Won't win at Auburn. Won't cheat. Doesn't know how to cheat." That's it in college basketball. Much much dirtier than football.
anyone see A V A T A R ?
Sponge..
I hear Mark Gottfried is looking for work.
Seriously, I'd make Mike Anderson tell me no and then move on from there.
LOL FS. He could at least recruit, but can't coach. If Lebo had Marks talent, we would be really good. Maybe Mark would take an assistant role. Agree w/ anderson.
well hello hotties
definitely been under the radar for a few weeks
daughter had a baby then two weeks later she had to have her gall bladder out then bam it hit me.
had to have my thyroid out at medical college of georgia last week and i am still trying to recoup from it all.
been trying to keep up with yall but i have missed a lot
other than having my throat slit which is not painful i feel like i got a huge pill stuck in my throat and i still cant talk yet...vocal chords got roughed up cause gland was so big
biggest problem is soooooo tired
got cabin fever so hubby took me to the movies.....the blind side...awesome cept for saban...i did not need to see him today
sorry for the grammar and caps but i am too tired to shift
war eagle all
War Eagle Missinit, hope you are feelin better soon.
FSJ ... I agree ... but I think it's a quick "no."
"Chainsaw Ed" Richardson screwed this one up last time. His demand that Anderson come to Auburn to interview was petulant and wholly unnecessary.
My early working list ...
VCU coach Shaka Smart
North Carolina assistant Steve Robinson (ex-Tulsa and FSU coach)
Tennessee assistant Tony Jones
Missinit...
Our prayers for a speedy recovery are on their way.
missinit - it's great to hear from you. Best wishes and prayers for a speedy recovery.
I'm not going to be here to honor the greatest WR in Auburn history. Molly dog and I are crashing.
G'night, Hotties!
Hope you get well soon missinit.
Night Molly Dog
THT-Just finished off a glass of Peanut Butter and Pecan ice cream with milk and two peanut butter ritz crackers dipped in white chocolate AND a peanut butter ball dipped in regular chocolate. it hink they are called buck eyes.
I will be running a long way Monday to pay for that, but it was D Lish US.
FSJ- I watched you Pitt Masters show. The Myron guy is full of himself on that show.
wtc,
I feel like I need to run a bit just by reading that...
It sounded great though.
I think I'll go eat a salad or something.
Yes he is..
They are making him play up that angle.
The one time I was around him he wasn't like that. Confident to be sure...but the mouth wasn't as bad as it is on this show.
May need to ask a family memeber for a Lipitor after that. I certianly can;t go to sleep for a while now.
Have you used the muffin tin for your chicken?
My mom made peanut butter balls today (I refuse to call them buckeyes). Those are possibly my favorite part of Christmas. You can make them with coconut also if you in to that kinda thing.
No..but it is a great idea.
Those boxes they have you put your chicken in are small. Most contest folks use thighs because they don't dry out as easily as breasts do.
Using those muffin tins would certainly help keep them uniform size in the box.
There's no telling how much money Myron has in his cookers.
I'm guessing close to $30,000.
The two guys with the pits made by Jamie Greer have spent a ton too.
I grill chicken thighs often, for big crowds. They are much easier to cook as they do not dry out as easy as chicken breasts. I just don't BBQ them. Mostly dry rub and then mop with the dry rub mixed with water/vinegar.
We've scored well with our chicken this past year.
We need some serious help in brisket though.
I saw that one lady had like 3-4 green eggs as back up for her smoker that need power to turn the rotisseire.
yeah..some teams use those...and you see a bunch of those Weber Smoky Mountain smokers too.
I would like to visit one of those events, but not enter one.
They make so much food. do they sell it to folks walking around or throw it out? If they sell it, do they make enough money to cover the expenses for the weekend?
There's a good one in Birmingham every August. It's pretty big and draws some of the top teams. The one in Decatur is pretty good too.
Gadsden has one in April of this year. We are going to try to cook in all three of those for sure.
Those three are all sanctioned by the KCBS.. We didn't/couldn't sell any meat but after our turn ins we gave away what we had left as samples to anybody that wanted some. They told us 'officially' not to but every team was giving it away so there's plenty to eat. It's like a big tailgate party to be honest. On Friday nights they usually have bands playing and stuff. Saturday gets pretty serious until the last turn in...
Watching this game on ESPN. I am glad Todd had a good year, for him. but it will be nice to get a QB that can ZIP a ball down the field.
Keep me posted, I may try to make one of them this summer.
I'll get the dates up and let you know.

Sounds like he thinks we are getting Cam
Damn't Jet... guess I should have refreshed before posting.
Does anyone know what Jared Allen said his school was during his intro in this game? It sounded like he said Culinary academy.
From what I have read, I think we have a very good shot of getting Newton and I do believe he thinks he would be the clear choice for the starting job. If I were him I would seriously consider MSU since he only has two years of elligibility and I do think we have some other people that could fight him for the job.
Watching this MTSU offense is frustrating because a lot of it, before the snap, looks like us last season. The similarity seems to end there.
Well, Franklin's offense was able to score 27 points on Southern Miss last year, and we probably should have had another 14 in that game from what I remember.
Of course, I'm trying to remember very little from 2008.
E-Bro, we weren't executing that offense nearly as well as MTSU is executing it with less talent.
The problem with Franklin's version of the spread is that they can not run the clock...at....all.
I do like Malzahn's more physical style. It fits much better into the way Auburn has always played football.
Agreed on both posts Steve. I was just making the general point that Southern Miss is the one team we actually moved the ball against consistently and scored some points.
And I am very excited about our chances with a new QB. Todd is what I would consider a pretty solid QB, but certainly not a star. The potential of this offense with a very talented QB is very exciting. The more I learn about Moseley and Newton, the more I like them, basically, because I think they will be durable. I am hoping Rollison is up to around 220 pounds. I like QBs with a bit of beef on them.
As for Caudle, the fact that they went after Newton and have apparently made him an offer says to me that they don't think a lot of Caudle.
By the way, my view of the QB race has changed a lot recently. More and more I am thinking Moseley is in the lead with Rollison second. That view is likely to change when we see more during the spring.
I don't see Mosely getting it. I know stars aren't everything. But I think Rollison and Newton (if he does come) are probably much more talented QB's, and all three have been winner's in the past. I've been wrong in the past, but I just don't see it.
I haven't really seen enough of Moseley or Rollison for that matter to say which is more talented. As for Newton, if what little I have seen is for real, he is a real difference maker.
The reason I like Moseley's chances are the comments from coaches, primarily Roof. Apparently Moseley really embraced his job as the scout team QB and Roof was very impressed by him.
Like I say, my opinion has and likely will change. The indications now seem to be Moseley, but once Rollison gets the opportunity to prove himself in the spring, it could very well change.
As for Newton, if we get him I would immediately think he would be the favorite based upon a lot of factors.
Rollison will never be 200lbs much less 220. I think Rollison is the fav until Newton comes in. Newton can beat out the frosh thats why hes comming in.
That I agree with Turfman. And that is why Caudle has dropped so much in my eyes. I don't think they go after Newton if they cannot honestly tell him that they think he has a good chance of being the starter. He just has a lot of positives going for him.
As for Rollison, I thought he was about 6'2", so I would think breaking 200 wouldn't be an issue.
As for Caudle, he doesn't seem to have the frame to carry a lot of weight from what I have seen, but I could be wrong.
As for Rollison, I haven't seen the coaches throw a lot of praise his way yet. He hasn't really proven anything on the college level. He is a question mark for me.
I have even seen Trotter getting some praise, but he is relatively slow, slower than Todd. He probably has a better knowledge of the offense than most, but he lacks experience and proven decision making.
In my book decision making decides your QB, not speed or arm strength. Accuracy has to figure in there to, but I kind of group it with decision making. Good ball placement can make up for some things.
Trotter slower than Todd? I heard he runs the zone-read well and according to scout runs a faster 40.
Remember, they considered pulling the RS on Trotter last season due to his awesomeness on the scout team as well.
I didn't think Trott was supposed to be slow either. I thought I remember hearing that he was pretty mobile. But then again that was pre-knee injury
Morning Hotties.
Glad 2.0 has a place to stay and some new friends and will be home for Christmas.
Missinit, congrats on the new grandbaby and prayers for a speedy recovery to you and your daughter.
I can tell there will be a lot of QB discussion between now and the new football season!
I do remember reading that Trotter was good at the read option and an accurate QB. I also recall reading he was slow, and I thought slower that Todd. We shall have to see how it plays out. Next to Moseley, Trotter has gotten the most praise from the coaches recently, and I do like the fact he was at every game this season, including road trips. That surprised me. He was very involved with the play calling. I think knowledge of the offense is going to be where he has an edge.
Good morning, Hotties!!!
WARRRRRRRRR EAGLE!!!
Anybody else up for some prison time today? I'll catch up with y'all late this afternoon if I'm granted parole.
2 1/2 days left of work this year. I just have to make it until Wednesday at 1:30.
What kind of work do you do WERK that you have off until 2010??
Technically, we don't get any holidays off at Shelby Baptist. We can take the holiday off, but if we want to get paid, we have to use vacation time. And, if we work, it's just straight time.
Just a guess, but I would think Trotter is the next Caudle. Knows the game, will be able to take the field if the starter goes down with an injury but can not win the starting job. Just a guess.
Where is everyone? Even if you're at work, I know you're not really working...
I'm here. Just trying ot getmotivated to go to the gym this moring in about 20 minutes, then to work.
We can discuss the QB situation, or the mens basketball problems.
Wouldn't going to the gym be more interesting and more productive? LOL
Luv,
I have what adds up to 6 weeks worth of vacation days, so I usually save some of those for the last week of the year.
was there a QB discussion in here last night?
Remind me who our QB candidates are again, there might have been, but the names keep slipping my mind.
Luv-goig to the gym is more interesting, most of the time but you guys do post some funny things sometimes. It is surely more productive.
Ok, wtc ...you talked me into a QB discussion, because the AU coach ..er Basketball discussion only has one relevant topic and I don't follow BBall anyway.
Changing HCs and OCs over the past few years has resulted in 6 QBs on scholly this past season ...on a team with about +/-72 scholly players. We still got 5 QBs on scholly and it seems that the coaches don't have enough confidence in that group and are looking to add a 6th.
The good news: we have a 2009 scholly to give.
The sad news: Not one of those 5 QBs has shown the coaches that we don't need to try a 6th QB.
CN brings a lot of accolades, but so did Kodi and Caudle. Is this the perfect guy? or will he use up reps that are better spent on someone already on campus?
I remember the fans clamoring for Kodi in 2006 and 2007...and then all of the practice/game reps that Kodi got. I just wonder if some of the others would be more developed if they had got those reps instead.
The coaches will have a lot of QB stuff to figger-on.
morning hotties. :) merry christmas week.
Hoopie, I've talked about that a few times, and I agree, but none of those QBs have possessed the SIZE plus athleticism Newton does. It is much easier for a bigger QB to succeed in the college game than a smaller one. I'm not saying a short/small QB can't succeed, but the cards are stacked against them. Look at Leake from Florida. He threw a beautiful ball, had good presence, and was an elite prospect. If he had been 6'3" or taller, he'd probably be making millions. The exact opposite is Jamarcus Russell. He's terrible. Very inaccurate. But he's huge. That size was a huge factor in his success on the college level, and probably 90% of the reason he was chosen #1 overall.
Kodi has the athleticism, but is listed at 6'1" (I think he's an inch or so on the other side of 6' personally). On the other hand, Jason Campbell is 6'5" (and yes, Jason would tower over Kodi). Cam is 6'6". Height is a HUGE plus for QBs on the college level. If he was 6'2" or under, I'd say forget about him and go with what we have. But the 6'6, 250 lb line is what has really gotten me excited.
i was out of town the past few days and kinda out of the loop. what's the consensus on the possible JUCO QB? it doesn't sound bad to me.
Hey Hotties!
Finally back from vacation. Missed this place a little bit.
Hoopie,
People were clamoring for Kodi in 2007 mainly because of how badly Brandon Cox and our offense started off the 2007 season. Then Kodi got to play vs Miss State and started vs New Mexico State and most people realized at the time it wasn't just the QB that was the problem with the 2007 team on offense.
Once Franklin came in and we ran a ton of plays and had a good offensive day in the bowl game vs Clemson expectations for Burns went through the roof. Sadly it doesn't look like that will pan out for him.
I hear ya Eddie, it's tough getting caught up.
I'm down if the kid wants to come and play. If not, we have some options at QB.
Scottie,
We have scholarships available, if Newton wants to come in and the coaches feel like he's straightened his act up, then by all means we could use improved QB play...maybe he can supply that.
it works for me RK. what skill player wouldn't want to play with the top JUCO transfer? it sure can't hurt recruiting.
Sean- I'm not even going to try and get caught up. That would take forever!
I'll just go with the flow.
I'm surprised we are signing another QB, but I'm sure the staff has their reasons and I trust them. He seems like a good kid to get.
As far as Lebo- Fire him, but I've been saying this for awhile.
Eddie,
I'll try to catch you up...
Frankenbummer and SteveFC have had a strange battle that was to culminate in a battle by the flag pole on the playground, but it never happened. However I think the battle continues.
A lot of talk about the QB position for next year.
A unified front about getting rid of Lebo.
Steve comparing Franklin's offense from last night to ours from last year when he was here.
Also a new theme developed where you post something as if it's a fact, then immediately follow up saying "I read somewhere that (fill in the item that you posted previously)"
I think that's all, I could be wrong.
Thanks WERK! I was worried I had missed something substantial, but I think I'm up to speed now
Thanks RK.
Otherwise, much adu about Steve, I mean Nothing :)!
I think Steve might catch a little more grief than he deserves. While some is deserved, he wears his target well.
Steve is my HABOTN Hero.
Steve is from Columbia
Steve is not on the team.
Nor is he a five star.
If you can't spar with Steve, then who can you spar with?
If a Steve discussion is going to replace the QB discussion or talks of coaches who can't be named then I'm all for it.
Speaking of Steve's...
Eddie may remember this, when I worked in talk radio we had a guy call in whose name was "War Eagle Steve". However he'd call in at the beginning of the season and brag, then would only call in on the monday's after an Auburn win and talk trash...but he would be nowhere to be found if we lost the game.
It would drive me crazy as I would catch the grief for him because he'd never call back in to take his medicine.
Shakira is from Colombia.
RK- I think I do remember that guy. I can't take people that talk trash one week and are nowhere to be found the next if their team loses. Sorry you had to take it for the team on his account.
Have I mentioned that I hate being back at work?
being back at work bites and i only missed 2 days. arrgghhh.
Does that mean Steve is Shakira?
Work sucks. I was gone for an entire week, and I feel like I never left.
with an extra o?
New Shimmer is a floor wax.
Since this is a good time for puppet hour, who is the next celebrity to die?
Mixing prescription meds seems to be the newest deadly fad.
New Shimmer is a dessert topping
Lindsey Lohan is my guess. Or Winehouse...I'm actually surprised she's still kicking.
I agree on both accounts Sean. How either makes it another 5 years will be shocking to me.
Next celebrity to die: Jay Leno. NBC wants to push him in front of a bus.
Or Jeff Lebo, if we lose to Alabama State tomorrow night.
Macauley Culkin. No particular reason comes to mind, other than to say 'I told you so'.
NO! IT'S A FLOOR WAX!
It'll behoove ya to take care of your uvula.
My uvula is gone.
Norm,
Macaulay will be in a bar, then Joe Pesci, DeNiro and Ray Liotta will show up with a vinyl tablecloth and beat him to death. Or least they they did, then they'll have to kill him again.
Ya'll be nice to Steve.

Who is not being nice to Steve?
I waited at the flag pole for you guys and you never showed up.
me for QB
NoVA - you got a uvula, I got a uvula, all God's children got a uvula.
Nope, my uvula was removed.
Michael,
By "me" are you meaning Meiko Collier?
Hold on a second folks, new Shimmer is a floor wax AND a dessert topping.
Look at that shine!
yeah ok so I'm just catching up at lunch time
And it tastes delicious!
NoVa - the uvula post was a Barney Fife reference, but I'm sorry for your loss. I mean, if you even miss it. Do we really need it? "I don't got no stinkin' idea." And that was a quote from a fine, upstanding teacher I had in high school.
in case you missed the HATE segment last friday, here's the archive:

Dead Thread
This thread needs to be brought back to life...Norm needs a page to flip.
Maybe I should mention the name of a former coach or something, that usually gets people stirred up.
When Tony Franklin is your OC, things can get exciting.
Last year's bubble screen in the end zone was my personal fave.
The 4th and 1 play with the sideways pass to the sideline might take the cake.
Who has the best chance of being Auburn's basketball coach next season, Lebo are Charlie Weis? Sure, Lebo has the edge, but I say the gap is narrowing.
Let sleeping coaches lie.
Please
To better explain and further aid our march to a flip ... the 4th and 1 was a Middle Tennessee play last night.
Whatever drugs they had on the MTSU sideline must be some good stuff. The Blue Raider QB suffered two sprained ankles and kept on pluggin'.
Well, he was certainly asleep at the wheel that final season.
Do not underestimate the power of the bubble screen. We kept trying it with the anticipation that it would catch the defense off guard. My guess is that if we had just ran it about 10 more times per game, someone might have been surprised.
Jet takes the softball deep over the fence.
Given that I'm on a con-call...
So the impetus for the thread is a page flip. Well I'll do what I can do to help.
and that I'm trying to control a couple of flareups on different projects...
AS for last season, discussing it with an analogy my be best. We were in a high stakes poker game. Each coach had a different strategy. The first coach looked at his cards and said he would stick with those because they added up to 20, the second coach looked at his card and inexplicably said "have you got any threes", and the third coach threw his cards on the table and said "Gin".
and that my hot wife and oldest child just brought me some lunch
it's time to flip it
flip it good
when a problem comes along
you must flip it
BOOM
