Hunter Morris named POY
Hey everyone. Auburn 1B Hunter Morris has been named the SEC's Player of the Year.He is Auburn's second POY. The first?
You guessed it: Tim Hudson in 1997.
Morris leads the SEC in slugging percentage (.767), hits (94), home runs (20) and total bases (1818), is second in runs scored (60), third in RBI (67) and fifth in batting average (.398).
Morris is only the second player in SEC history to win both Freshman of the Year and POY. The other was Stephen Head from Ole Miss.

If you're just looking for a stattracker, SECsports.com has one (Auburntigers.com also will have a link to it). XM radio is broadcasting the tourney, and it will be on SportsSouth for TV...I'm sure there will be a channelsurfing.com site set up by someone,but that's always last mintue. I'll email you if you need someone to locate it in the morning.

It was pretty quiet, actually....except for the hundred posts I had when live blogging batting practice/awards/interviews that the SEC had streaming online.

Luper said he couldn't give me an exact number of prospects expected to attend, but I'm guessing it'll be in the 30 range.
The talent won't be as concentrated as it was last summer, but I expect a bunch of notable prospects to take part.
I'll be there on Sunday for FULL HABOTN COVERAGE.

Indeed...and even if they were, never give up a win for the good guys. If your hate is for any other reason than love of AU, it is misguided. Love of AU always calls for the win.

Weeman, you are correct that my hate for the walmartians runs deep. My love for Auburn is greater. I am not one of those fans that hates them more than I love Auburn. However, I would have traded and outback bowl loss for the infidels to have lost the MNC. The best case scenario is what Miller said.
PF, don't get what I said wrong. I do not wish a loss on Auburn, but to give up one win for the hearts and souls of all walmartians is a fair trade.

As for BCW there will be several high profile players including 3-4 RBs and at least 2 QBs. There will be a big presence on the defensive side of the ball as well. I expect a minimum of 2 commitments directly following this weekend. I am not the expert though. WTC knows all.

Me and Seanzie are idiots, because I'm with him. The Outback Bowl was one of the most exciting games in all of college football last year, even if the team didn't get two rings for winning it.
I'm happy that the coaches have BCW, but I don't personally feel a need to know anything about it.
The game was great and I loved the win, but given the choices laid out by Weeman I would trade that one game. Now best case scenario would have been for use to win the UT to win.

Yeah, their hearts and souls don't matter much to me. They suck with or without them (though I'd argue that they really have neither). I want them to lose them all, but the only one that is connected is the Iron Bowl.

ehyou & tht - I awoke yesterday morning after just a few hours sleep. I've been awake ever since. Being this tired will serve a purpose in that I'm likely to be extra crabby, take even less crap than usual and Hate even more than most would think possible.
