Reportage from Sandestin, Day 3
Hey everyone. I write for a living. I get paid because you read the things I write. So please, help a journalist and read the following pieces of prose.
*`Saban Rule' bumped
*Le Notebook (includes basketball items, Barbee involved with both)

DL proxy substance - Is it August yet?
I'll read it all, JGT. I hope that gets you a bonus.
Tell DL to turn his speakers down, I can hear them from here.
Mute your television, please.
I wish I were near my television.
yeah everybody help JG get P-A-I-D.
recommend it to your friends & family.
If I read those at MA online earlier this morning, do I need to read them again here since you've linked them for us?
I mean, if it helps a brotha out, I'll do it.
I like the savvy-journalist-knows-his-audience play at the end of the Saban-bump article, JGT.
OF COURSE a head coach should stay home, spend some time with the kids he's committed to shepherd during their years on campus, and enjoy a little spring rah-rah with the alumni.
But that's the difference between "raising Auburn men" and "evil tahd empire".
It's a good day to hate bammer. Go Phoenix!
Y'all lost me on speakers and televisions.
Great reports, Sportswriter Tate. Thanks!!!
If I read them again in a different web browser, will they jack up your salary?
just do it Norm.
Nice coverage JayG. Thanks.
Liked that Barbee used the word "druthers".
FUTBOL
I know JayG has the World Cup blog, and I posted this over there, but England defender and captain Rio Ferdinand is out of the World Cup.
That's substantial b/c the good old US of A plays England in little more than a week.
so, i gather that the Chiz & the Sabanator do not agree on this issue.
Chiz want to stay at home & see his own players while Satan wants to troll the high schools & evaluate recruits himself. interesting.
how long does this world cup thing last? all summer?
Assuming we can keep Luper-Trooper together for another year or two, I'm ok with HC's staying at home and assistants being out on the road.
PUCK
Blackhawks @ Flyers tonight at 8 pm, Game 4.
What is this "world cup" of which you speak? That's the thing they play with the round, spotty ball, right?
scottie...from June 11 to July 11. Also known as the best month of 2010.
speaking of Finals, the Lakers looked good last nite from what i watched.
Braves won again too. they cannot be stopped right now. good livin' i guess.
i guess i need to read up on JG's soccer blog so i'll have a clue what's going on. i usually just skip over the futbol talk.
Scottie, you need to catch the fever.
Scottie: June 11 to July 11.
I'm still trying to get over pneumonia/bronchitis. I don't want any fever right now. I think I'll be ready to get febrile by Sept 4.
C'mon doc, you gotta use your voodoo to get rid of that stuff.
well, Seanzie, 2.0 and I are heading to Sutton's now for a bacon cheeseburger, fountain diet cherry Coke, and fries. That should help.
Eddie, that was a cool ad you posted on the last thread. The Homer Simpson / Ronaldo bit definitely got a laugh out of me.
Get Down Goblin
uh-oh, a can of Jan Terri just got opened up.
Scottie B, did you intentionally ignore the Duke Donaldson post?
Get down goblin
Get down goblin
Get down goblin
Get down
(repeat)
Get Down!
nnnnnooooo.....not the Duke Donaldson post!!!!!!! i'm so ashamed.

My fav part of Get Down Goblin has to be the dancing.
My favorite part of Get Down Goblin is everything. I love it all.
Well duh, Norm, that's a cop out of an answer/
The HABOTN Striker of the Year Didier Drogba is out for the cup, broke his arm during a friendly with Japan yesterday.
wells...bookmark JayG's World Cup blog and you would've known this already.
Get your head out of your a$$, man.
Don't forget the special effects and the lyrics to Get Down Goblin. The thing is masterful in every facet.
Another halloween
the kids will be dwessed up
candy, pumpkins, witches awound
the moon shines so bright.
Germans!
Inglorious Basterds. first thing that popped in my mind when you said Germans.
"hey donnie! got us a german that wants to die for his country...abliiige him!"
“You probably heard we ain’t in the prisoner-takin’ business; we in the killin’ Nazi business. And cousin, Business is a-boomin.”
“If you ever wanna eat a Sauerkraut sandwich again take your Wiener Schnitzel lickin’ finger and point out on this map what I wanna know.”
Inglorious Basterds is one of the worst films I've ever seen.
ScottyB ...thanks for those quotes. I've watched that movie twice and may have to go buy it.
The jury is still out, but IB may stand the test of time and rank up there with OJW or Shawshank.
this from the guy who's jacked to see 'Get Him to the Greek'?
:P
get some Seanzie!
First of all, Russell Brand is awesome. Second of all, if anyone other than Tarantino does that movie, it gets eviscerated by the critics.
Pulp Fiction is still my fav movie of his.
scottie, I am just glad the movie has gotten you to change your name. I was sick of ctrl +f'n my name to see if anyone addressed me and keep running into "carmichael" over and over again.
Tarantino "ain't skeered" to tell a story.
I'm a huge fan of Kill Bill Vol. 1.
michael, sl;dkj;salk sldkfjs alkjs sljd!!!!!
Nice articles JayG.
I will agree with Miles on this rule. AN awful big chance that violations will occur. Who on here thinks a HS coach, that likes a certian university (no matter which one), would allow the college HC to sit down for a long time and tlak to a recuit?
Kill Bill Volume 1 is good no doubt, but Volume 2 was even better I thought. Not quite the action of the first one, but I enjoyed the story a lot more in the second one.
Vol 2 is rad too.
I will say this, almost everything I have heard from Barbee is talk about the post season. I like it.
"War in Space" from 1977 is easily better than any of those movies.
scottchoc- you going to brewfest this weekend?
Oh hi Harrison. How are you?
The interrogations by Col Hans Landa when "they-knew-that-he-knew-that-they-knew" were intense.
Harrison, that's a possibility. Are you going?
New thread UPZ.
Were you Uncle Conrad and Aunt Ginny millionaires? Well, your Uncle Marsellus is. And I'm positive if Uncle Conrad and Aunt Ginny were millionaires, they would've furnished you with a whole bedroom set, which your Uncle Marsellus is more than happy to do. I like oak myself, that's what's in my bedroom. How 'bout you Jimmy, you an oak man?
