Getting Our Bearings

Hey everyone. So as you have surmised, I was asked (politely) to make Wednesday my last day of work at the Advertiser. Nobody should be upset with the Advertiser; they are keeping to their word and sending me on my way with what they agreed to give me. No hard feelings.

I am hopeful that Brian Woodham, who recently left a part-time gig with ITAT to take a full-time job as a copy editor at the Advertiser, will be given an opportunity to take my old job. Brian would be a great addition. I'll let you know if I hear anything about that.

As I explained on Facebook, we will have a board at AuburnSports.com with a stricter standard when it comes to cussing and any off-putting shenanigans. Personally, I'm good with the Bunker and have read it for a long time. They get a little upset when things don't go well, which is understandable, but I feel like that board's reputation for savage commentary far exceeds reality.

With that said, we will have a HABOTN-esque board over there for people whose tolerance for cussing is at zero. Just want to make that clear.

I'll be starting at AuburnSports.com on Monday.

Take care, errybody. Thanks as always for your support!

I would love to explain all about weddings and divorces and all that in Eurasia, but I don't really have time.

I will say the best part of a Eurasian wedding is the "Stomping of the Betrayer of the State" tradition. Ladies, sharpen those high heels!

3:28 PM
Blogger bubbs said...

The SBS tradition would be a factor in deciding the wedding party. I mean, if you really don't like the guy getting stomped you're gonna pick some hauses. Also, those bride's maid's dresses will have a non-restrictive cut for maximum leverage/range of motion.

Yeah. I would like to see a taped Eurasian wedding (not brave enough to go to one live).
