The Chinese company that wrote the software, Shanghai Adups Technology Company, says its code runs on more than 700 million phones, cars and other smart devices.
bubbs, you know I can't resist the temptation to check on my my beloved Tigers if I'm anywhere near a monitor. I'll have to Google and see if there are any caves to explore within a short drive of home. The further underground, the better.
How banged up is our defense? No reason we couldn't pull an LSU and at least keep the IB low scoring if that side of the ball is healthy and playing good ball. I think we'll at least score against Bama.
FEEL THE SUNSHINE!
Got a real Pumper McPumperson in E-Bro.
I hear there are some nice BBQ joints near you, THT. Spend the day there.
Oh sweet, innocent, Irish Ebro. We gonna get steamrolled.
Well, I didn't think Trump would get elected either.
Hmm...wait a minute.
So anyway, yeah, Auburn doesn't have a chance! No way we beat Bama!
We knew Trump would get elected. The S&P 500 was lower on Oct 31 than on Aug 1. That guaranteed a loss to the incumbent party. (The opposite also holds true.)
We also knew a 9 win AU team would win the Iron Bowl. Can we schedule a doubleheader Saturday against A&M and Faulkner Univ.?
In case you were wondering, the fluorescent color added to this map is more criminal than Hillary's email server.
I needed to use that pencil set I got for Christmas some how.
I need a nap.
just drank Diet Mtn Dew for the first time... bleh. The Buy More is all out of Diet Coke :(
Did the Russians hack the Wake Forest Football Office?
Man yall i've been sick for like three weeks. the last time I was well, Auburn was a playoff contender with no injury problems.
Sick? With what? You got one of them ziti viruses?
MJT, you need to spend some time in the ua-t locker room this week.
That's a great idea THT! I'll take my whole family!
Started with a cough and fever back on Oct 30. Still have the cough from that, and lots of phlegm. Picked up a new cold about a week ago with lots of snot. Then the whole family got a stomach virus earlier this week. So basically sick with three things at once, and I think the last cold turned into a sinus infection.
The good news is I lost about 5 pounds, so I'll need to eat a lot next week to gain it back.
Is there a hand washing ban in Eurasia?
That's a great idea THT! I'll take my whole family!
Be sure to do lots of sneezing, coughing, and generalized phlegm and snot dispersal. And don't forget to poop everywhere!!!
No bubbs, hand washing is OK. But the tradition of eating each other's throw-up needs to be reconsidered.
my grandpuppies got the Eurasian tradition down pat.
Well, some traditions can be really hard to give up. Good luck with that.
speaking of hard to give up traditions... It's H!!! CAMPPPPFIIIIIIIRE!
Still a couple of embers over there.
It was nice of Louisville to help out the selection committee. They're coach is super nice, so it's not unexpected.
I think at least one of us has shown up to every campfiyah this season. I think we both showed up to the same one only once or twice though.
But the important thing is the tradition continues
it beats eating vomit.
http://sports.yahoo.com/news/big-12-selects-dallas-to-host-championship-game-162338049.html
They play everyone, so why do they need a championship game? Stupid. I think all conference championship games are stupid. Get rid of them all and do 16 team playoff.
Yeah, well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.
Get rid of the football season and give Auburn a natty every year.
... I'm not immediately against your Eurasian way of fixing things.
Could you imagine if they shut down college football?
I can imagine being King of an entire continent. Imagining no football is child's play.
I'd be most pleased if they would shut down college football in two days. For at least 8 months.
Some days you have to realize you are truly blessed. Thank heavens I don't pull for Louisville.
If Jeremy Johnson is at a football game and nobody sees him, is he really there? It is coming. The Jeremy Johnson show is back by popular demand. Well, okay, maybe not popular. Okay, maybe demand is overstating it. Apparently he is back, though. I'm pretty sure.
If you need a lift, I hear there is plenty of free space on the JF3 bandwagon.
From now on, Gus should request Kirby buy dinner before we play Georgia. It is only fair.
I hope we'll eventually learn that Jeremy's appearance was one half too late.
If Auburn were to ever play a 6:00 AM game on PBS, this would be that game.
Auburn University's Board of Trustees approved plans to widen the north main concourse of Jordan-Hare Stadium during their meeting Friday morning.
I'd love to have seen the BoT working on the concourse Friday morning. I can't believe they would do that while they were trying to have a meeting.
SFC... speaking of odd network football games, did you watch The Game on CNBC today? Yale pulled off a big upset of Harvard.
I wish I had watched the Yale/Harvard game. I heard there was a yuge upset.
I can't wait for the Iron Bowl. This one could be special. From what I understand, Jeremy Johnson will launch his Heisman campaign this Saturday. Oh, some folks say he has no chance, but that is what they said about Trump too.
https://twitter.com/iamking_karma/status/800533066758422529
Right in the middle of eating my lunch. Thankfully, that doesn't bother me at all unless I have to clean it up.
King sunni has an interesting twitter background.
Couldn't help but notice the artistic tie-in myself, MJT. The contrast between life giver in the background, and its rejection in the video said a lot about wild animal parks.
Yeah.
Sounds like Pettway might play, but he certainly wont be near 100%.
I think the line is around 17 for this game. What's the biggest line in the rivalry history? Can't be much more than that.
2012 was probably higher.
To answer your question: it could be very much more than 17:
http://www.al.com/sports/index.ssf/2012/11/theres_been_a_bigger_iron_bowl.html
32 points in 2012! And bama easily covered.
That was the year I made a 600 mile day trip to the mountains (Christmas tree), Columbia SC (auction with maps), and back home. If I didn't have to work Saturday morning, I'd do the same... well, work and the fact I can't find an auction with maps on Saturday. I have not been able to find a local cave for a spelunking expedition. I may just have to dig a deep hole in the back yard and crawl in it.
Jimmy, please add the "NSFW" warning next time. I don't won't (or dant want?) to get fired from the Buy More for accidentally looking at non-avian boobies.
Jimmy p.s., Are you going to be in LAw to watch AU soccer this weekend?
Watched every bit of the 2012 game. Mainly just to see if Tre would break 1,000 yards rushing for the season. Celebrated like heck when he did.
If he stays healthy for Bama and the bowl game, Kerryon should join Bubba in breaking 1,000 for the season.
I think bammer covers easily, just like in 2012.
unfortunately, bubbs is right. Too bad we couldn't have played them in October when we had that bye week.
Malzahn says he won't know the game status of the injured players, which includes quarterback Sean White and running back Kamryn Pettway, until "later in the week.
Google Translates that to: The injured players aren't practicing because they are HURT and CAN'T PLAY.
Yes, ua-t covers way too easily :(
The concern now is if we'll have a QB for the bowl game. There's talk of surgery for Grit.
BTW - It would be cool if Google Translate had a "coach speak" option.
You bunch of negative nancys. Last year we only lost by two scores. This year we have a much improved defense and Alabama has a young QB and backs. There is hope. Well, not hope we will win. I'm talking about hope that we see no snot bubbles on Saturday.
My guess is Jeremy Johnson starts at QB. Every time White has been injured he has played like pooh, and not even warm pooh. JF3 will continue to do his standard QB impression occasionally.
KJ really needs to have a good game. Pettway being back would be great, but the idea that we run up the middle against Bama isn't a good one. I say go with speed and let Kam "Zippy" Martin get some touches.
We'll win by about 20
Think we beat the spread.
Wrong thread, guys. We're talking about the 2016 iron bowl. Your'e looking for basketball thread.
Okay, it is time for you idiots to earn your keep and release the rumor that Nick Saban will be returning to coach LSU after the Iron Bowl. The only thing standing in the way appears to be Saban talking to Texas about their head coaching position. On the lighter side, Les Miles is available to replace Saban at Bama, but Lane Kiffin is fighting it.
I'm guessing if KP plays, it will be more decoy than anything else. I certainly don't expect a major contribution from someone who hasn't recovered from a torn hamstring. He probably shouldn't even suit up. Grit is too messed up to play. Maybe JJ should change jerseys to 2 and see if it makes him play like Cam. While wearing 6 he's played like #2, and I don't mean Cam. I've never seen a team with so many offensive skill position players lost to injury.
bubbs @ 1:22pm made me laugh.
For some reason Auburn never has a solid backup QB waiting. White was definitely very good when healthy, but he is more like very bad when injured.
we didn't even come close to covering the spread against Purdue :(
Excluding a 1944 Orange Bowl matchup and a 1955 regular season game in Dallas, can someone explain why aTm played LSU in Baton Rouge 27 consecutive times between 1923 and 1986? I mean, it's not like aTm is Auburn and LSU is Georgia Tech.
About to get paroled early from prison today, in time to watch NCSU vs UNC and then the Apple Cup.. GO WAZOO!. Work tomorrow a.m. and spelunking expedition or some other away-from-tv activity tomorrow afternoon. I hope y'all also have alternative non-disappointig activities planned.

Who would have ever thunk it? Cornpones beat Cornhuskers.
Nebraska is a paper tiger. They didn't beat any good team this year, with the exception of Wyoming. GO COWBOYS!
DB reaches out to deflect pass, Herbstreit "He needed every ounce of that arm length".
I'm thinking he could have reached out easier if his arm wasn't so darn heavy.
OUCH! Wyoming got run over, and over, and over, and over...
The Cowboys defense allowed 568 rushing yards (over 400 in first half!), more than any Wyoming defense had ever allowed and the most any team in the country has allowed this season.
New Mexico's first 5 possessions were all TD drives, none less than 75 yards, and none more than 5 plays.
Years of coaching experience allowed this insightful observation by Wyoming coach Craig Bohl, "Their offense was much more troublesome than what we’d anticipated".
In other news...
Pitt scored 76 points and still didn't cover the spread.
Happy to report that I did not watch a single play of the iron bowl.
No regrets.
You're gonna like this, THT: http://www.atlasobscura.com/articles/found-an-intricate-17thcentury-map-stuffed-into-a-chimney?
The line jumped to 20 before the game... so Auburn beat the late spread!
Give Gus an extension already!!!
Told y'all!
I don't believe either of you.
in recovery mode after spending most of the past 4 days at the Buy More. I'm too old to be stocking shelves.
You need a robot.
642 days til kickoff!
GO TIGERS!
WARRRRR EAGLE!!!
still tired. Hey bubbs, where do I get me one of those robots... with a voice like Olivia Newton-John?
Check the local Buy More.
why?
Because they have good deals?
E-Bro, the Buy More sells robots with only the following voice options: Fran Drescher, Pee Wee Herman, Rosanne Barr, Gilbert Gottfried, or Carol Channing.
I'll look elsewhere.
I can assure you that none of these questions were from me.
And to this question...What is the outlook at quarterback for Auburn?
I offer this forecast
So you're saying lots of Grit in the QB forecast? Awesome!
I didn't intend for you to view that forecast through Cincy's glasses.
I smudged ehyou's so he's stopped letting me borrow his. Cincy didn't seem to think twice when I asked for hers.
probably distracted by the grandkids
Looks like a grit blast, if you will
I will not.
This is probably highest on the list of the many reasons I will never partake in space travel.
Read "Packing for Mars" if you want help in ranking all the reasons you will never partake in space travel.
Funny and insightful book.

I hope that link isn't to more non-avian boobies
THT is never going to let you forget about that, Jimmy.
I bet Jimmy eventually forgets about it, bubbs.
Only until THT reminds him again.
Have we considered that THT may forget about reminding Jimmy about it?
Whose job is it to remind THT to remind Jimmy?
I'll remind Tar Heel Tiger, and he'll remind me.
Please remind me to... I forget,
I leave for the Dominican Republic tomorrow for a week to scout a movie I am producing. Weather will be nice.
Drink lots of tap water while you're down there. It's got natural healing properties.
Hey Jimmy when are you going to make a movie based on our HABOTN comments? And how much will we get paid?
Warms up a couple of degrees to -5 in Fairbanks for the high tomorrow... and then a cold front comes through. Would I choose that over weather in the Dominican Republic... tough call. The delightful weather in Laramie would be a no-brainer.
Hey Jimmy, can I be the foley artist for the HABOTN movie? I can make great fake fart sounds and great fake sounds with real farts.
THT, I was thinking with some of Jimmy's movie magic you could play both Price and Strother.
I'd like to be a voice over for everyone. I've got great range, Jimmy.
michael, I'm sure I'd give an OscarMeyer-worthy performance. Now where did I leave my sextant, chain, rod, and plumb bob?
Like those are real things.
Jimmy wont cast you a girlfriend with that kinda attitude, E-Bro.
Maybe I read that too quickly, but did you just say you had Jimmy Sexton, Rod Bramlett, and your plumber Bob chained up? You need to let them go, THT. Seriously.
Ain't nobody going no where till Bob fixes the danged shower head!
Maybe just let Bramlett out as a gesture of goodwill?
The only guy I got corralled is the Safelite guy who's in the parking lot giving me a new windshield.
I like corraled better. blogger.com does not.
Okay, if Auburn ends up playing Oklahoma in the Sugar Bowl, which one of you idiots is going to step up and play QB for Auburn?
SFC, I've got the idiot qualification, but even on my best day, I was always a BEASLEY!!! and never a Sullivan.
I was in Tulane Stadium the last time we played OU. Talk about an awful trip. I hope they don't bring that wishbone with them.
I didn't get to hear Chris Schenkel and Bud Wilkinson on the TV broadcast. I bet ol' Bud could hardly contain hisself.
Man, I can't believe you were at that game. It was the only time Auburn has played Oklahoma. Normally, I would be excited about it, but this is a good time of year to play Memphis.
I'd really prefer the Birmingham Bowl or something equivalent, in hopes we could at least have a chance of winning. History says we should lose our bowl game this year.
you know if the dominoes fall just right, we might still sneak into the playoffs.
What does pizza have to do with us getting into the playoff?
The Bagman had domino's pizza in his bag. Duh.
It would be great to have Domino's Pizza and UnderArmour sponsor a championship game between Louisville and Oregon.
PAROLED!!! Y'all have a great weekend.
back in jail, THT?
Hey THT,
MJT has some hot takes on a tweet that Kam Martin made. He thinks it was way out of line. Grit probably unfriended him on FB.
You should ask him about it.
Actually you can't ask me about it. I'm currently in a safe space.
Sorry, Charlie. It's no-safe-space-Monday.
Well there's the first safe space infraction of the day. you have been reported.
I'm in my super safe space. You're not allowed to give me infractions while I'm in here.
Ironically, you just gave yourself an infraction.
No, the infraction is taped to the outside of your bubble. You can grab it on the way out.
You violated my bubble! You're in bubble trouble!
That's an infraction for touching my bubble AND an infraction for littering. Your tape didn't hold, and your infraction is on the ground now.
Oh no... you made your bubble out of non-adhesiveable material? That's another infraction.
Untrue! It's made of low friction material. Not "no friction" material. I can't help that your infractions are made with lesser quality adhesive.
I'm gonna infract you for improper bubble testing.
Movement denied! Infriction fraction upheld!
This aggression will not stand, man!
How are you even aware of any aggression? I thought you were in a safe space?
Bubble fraud infraction!!!!!
Who are you to tell me what I can and can't be aware of in my bubble? You're not even a part of the Bubble Committee. I bet you don't even know when and where the committee meets.
You're a fraud and you've proven it!
That's a whole movie script for Jimmy right there. Y'all make sure you get mentioned in the credits.
I feel confident we can get to 5K posts rather quickly with our safe space debate. Just like I'm confident the Bubbs Bubble Committee is really just him and two sock puppets.
How dare you disparage the fine individuals on the committee?! You know what you are? You're a bully. I'm reporting you on the bully hotline. I'm dialing right now, Mr!!!
Stuff just got real.
You sounded pretty surprised when I was the one answering the phone on the Bully Hotline, bubbs. Hope you enjoyed your verbal citation for being a wimp!
Oh, yeah. Well as soon as I hung up that call, guess what? The Jerk Store was calling, MJT!
Jeez, tell them to talk to my lawyer. I will never pay for that jar of seasoning. There's no law that says I have to!
Maybe don't let a guy in your store when he is doing character research for a movie role where he has a glass throwing compulsion disorder, idiots.
Wait a second. You were doing research? Going through my accordion file folder .... hmmm. Nope. Not there. You do not have a permit for doing research.
That'll be 4 demerits. I would say "sorry", but I'm not sorry.
Ummm hello it's Two for Tuesday, so it should have been 8 demerits. All demerits are voided, and you have been hit with 1 negative check mark for Improper Demerit Distribution.
Of course it's Two for Tuesday. Why do you think it cost you 4 demerits? Research violations of the misdemeanor nature are only two demerits. 2+2=4 Surprised you didn't know that.
My name has been erased from the board, and your Monitor status has been revoked.
You're having a tough day.
lol apparently bubbs is still using the 1986 version of the Demerit Code of Demerits. The updated DCD lists RVoMNs as 4 demerits. It's a small miracle that you guys even have internet in Leeds.
What's wrong with the DCD we got? It demerits good, don't it?
Bubble Committee really blows. They met this morning and all they did was talk about the good ol' days of Dub & Bub. No business tended to. At. All. Then they all adjourned for lunch at Pat's.
I think that's a little harsh, THT. Lunch at Pat's is substantial!
Bet you wish you were in a safe space when THT brought the hammer down on the Bubble Committee.
THT is just confused. He doesn't understand how these committees work. It's December, and nothing gets accomplished at the end of the year.
The infractions sub-committee meets before the campfiyah this Thursday. I'd urge THT to be there. We're discussing MJT. There will no doubt be many items on the agenda and lots of motions.
There is not a single college football game on Thursday night. Due to lack of interest, all committee meetings and sub-committee meetings and super-sub-committee meetings have been canceled. Everyone is instructed to remain in their safe space out of Harm's way. Let's not kid ourselves, Sarah MacKenzie was the real reason we watched JAG.
I have to admit, I was a big Mac fan (pun intended!) back in the day. JAG was my dad's favorite show when I was in high school.
My pops watched that show, too. Mac was alright, but not my type I don't guess.
3.4 demerits for a terrible pun, MJT.
Well of course not. You are a deplorable racist, and she was half Iranian.
citation for 10 bad check marks.
Oh, no you don't!
Her mom was Iranian. She was born in London. Which makes her 100% English. You Jackwagon!
Hall pass REVOKED!
all I knew was her name. Y'all sound like stalkers.
What?! I already said she wasn't my type. Come on, man. If we're going TV crushes of late 90s/early 00s, Gillian Anderson comes to mind. She's more my speed.
She's American.
MJT is a stalker. But that's none of my bidness.
I remembered she was part middle eastern because her ability to speak another language was key in some episodes. Then I read on wikipedia where she was half iranian and put 2 and 2 together.
Hey THT,
What's your favorite TV show theme song?
So being bi-lingual means you're part middle eastern? Huh.
Well generalizations like that are usually not good, but in this case that's pretty much spot on Ebro, so yeah
bubbs, this one
Of shows that made it past the pilot, my favorite theme songs are for The High Chaparral
the two for Laramie (I could only find the one that was used for about 3.5 of the 4 seasons)
and of course, this one
So you're saying that all the good TV theme songs came during the 60s? How about that.
I don't think I've ever seen the first one (Route 66?).
Mike Post had some good ones in the early 80s.
In the late 90s, this one is tops...took a while to start on my 'puter
oh... the delay was Firefox giving me a blank youtube window instead of the ad that I got in Chrome
Not a fan of the show (Simply never exposed to it. Not active dislike). But I kinda like the full orchestra sound. Reminds of the West Wing theme song.
I never watched Voyager until a few years ago.
My dad was a huge Star Trek TNG, but I don't think he was that crazy about Voyager. I only watched a couple of episodes.
Are you a trekkie, THT?
I forgot the word "fan" in that last post. I would like to clarify that my dad was not a TV series.
Whatever you say, MJT.
MJT having a TV show for a parent, puts a lot into context for me. Michael Jan Trek?
It was tough on us all when my father was unexpectedly canceled. Really thought he'd get renewed for another season. Didn't get to say goodbye.
Maybe they'll turn him into a movie, though?
Never know. Reboots are still pretty popular. Maybe he'll get reactivated.
I didn't watch Voyager until it was on Netflix or some other place where my son showed it to me. Really liked it a lot. I didn't watch it during its original run because I disliked Deep Space 9 so much (how can you have a star trek series stuck in one place all the time?)
I'm not a full-fledged trekkie, but I will watch Michael's dad when he comes out in syndication.
Been meaning to talk you about that... it really creeps my dad out when people stare at him when he comes out of the house wearing syndication. So please stop.
Advice for your dad: cotton, wool, silk, fur. If he didn't wear tacky clothes made of syndicated stuff, he wouldn't get so many stares.
It really is inappropriate.
My position has always been that you should be able to wear whatever you want to wear in the privacy of your own front yard.
Your dad prefers syndicated clothing? I'd rather be in a natural grass hula skirt, just sayin'
Synthetic grass has come a long way, THT. You should give it another try.
today's weather stat: 24 hour difference in temperature in Laramie is +44°. It is currently 26.
Rozen shine, Hotties. Time to go to work.
Not me! Four day weekend!
iphone voice recognition is better than the VR I have to use at work, but it obviously isn't purr fact. I'm curious how it managed to create an entirely new word. I've yet to find "rozen" in a dictionary. Maybe bubbs can figure it out; he apparently has plenty of time on his hands today.
My spreadsheet is made up of rozen columns.
previously unbeaten Sam Houston, the guy who won Texas independence, returned home to his native Virginia for a behind the woodshed beating. James Madison opened up the largest can of whupazz on the shelf, to the tune of 65-7 tonight.
In 12 hours the poor ol'Jackrabbits from Brookings, SD, will likely get stomped on by the Bison. NDSU has lost only 6 games in the past 5 years. SDSU dominated the stats in their trip to the Fargodome earlier this year, but had to score a TD with 1 second left to get the 19-17 upset win. I don't think the hosts will be as hospitable today. Oh well, I love the underdog. GO JACKS! I mean, seriously, how could you not pull for this logo?
After not getting the Houston job, FAU is in talks with Lane Kiffin to become their new head coach.
With their football history, why would FAU expect to be hired by anyone?
Sam Houston St was clearly in let down mode after that close-call against the fightin' Mocs of UT-Chattanooga the week before. Hard to come back down to earth after a big victory over a team that led Bama for a quarter and only lost by 28 in the end.
AU basketball in the Big Apple in about an hour.
GO TIGERS!!!
Couldn't get the win last night. I listened to the game. Sounded pretty frustrating. That one will not help our NCAA chances.
27BEASLEY!!!
I watched the game last night and I can confirm the presence of frustration.
I'm convinced, based on totally unreliable rating services, that BP can recruit. I haven't watched enough AU or TN basketball with him at the helm to know if he can coach. Anybody out there seen enough to know about his game planning and in-game coaching?
Combined record of top 5 teams in Metropolitan Division since each team's last loss
28-0
Flyers win streak = 9
Penguins win streak = 6
Blue Jackets win streak = 6
Ovechkis win streak = 4
Rangers win streak = 3
There's something called the "Metropolitan Division"?
since July 2013.
Before that, Penguins were in Northeast Divison, and before 1993, the Patrick Division.
You're making this stuff up, THT.
you didn't let me finish, bubbs.
While in the Patrick Division, they were part of the Clarence Campbell Conference.
Before 1981 they were in the Norris Division as part of the Prince of Wales Conference.
I didn't know about that last line as it predates my Penguin fanness.
It's all right here: https://www.sportingcharts.com/articles/nhl/detailed-history-of-nhl-expansion-and-realignment.aspx
I'm impressed with your dedication. You created that site just to try to get us to buy into your shenanigans.
What's up with Pitt and its desire to be pirates? It's not on or near a large body of water.
The new owners also signed highly regarded second baseman Lou Bierbauer, who had previously played with the AA's Philadelphia Athletics. The Athletics failed to include him on their reserve list, and the Pittsburgh Alleghenys picked him up. Nonetheless, this led to loud protests by the Athletics, and in an official complaint, an AA official claimed the Alleghenys' actions were "piratical".[5] This incident quickly accelerated into a schism between the leagues that contributed to the demise of the A.A. Although the Alleghenys were never found guilty of wrongdoing, they made sport of being denounced for being "piratical" by renaming themselves "the Pirates" for the 1891 season. The nickname was first acknowledged on the team's uniforms in 1912.
I agree, though, the Ohio Creek is pretty small.
Why do you keep making up all these sports stories?
Hey so is that were Chris Berman got the "NFC Norris Division" when talking about the NFC north? Maybe THT isn't making everything up.
Are there leaders and legends division too?
thankfully not. Although it wouldn't surprise me if they had Bullies and Tormenters divisions.
How about a Dementor division?
Hmm. Well. That was not a good page flip. My long weekend left me rusty, and THT's fake stories left me confused.
I plead insanity.
Goodness gracious what a terrible flip.
Look away. Just look away, MJT.
Retreating to my safe space now.
