News of the day, 3/8
Hey everyone. Alright*. Let me break it down.
I've been in Atlanta for a short family shindig. I anticipated that the scrimmage would be canceled due to weather concerns (which was spot-on), so I didn't miss much. Our ace correspondent Luke "Lukash" Brietzke attended Friday's practice in my stead.
Here is his story: Blackmon a big hit in Tigers' camp
Luke was kind enough to pass along his interpretation of action in the pass-rush drills we all love to chronicle. Luke is from Maryland. I'm assuming he knows enough about football.
Just kidding. Here is what he passed along:
73 vs. 45: 45, 45
71 vs. 98: 98, 71
68 vs. 91: 91, E
57 vs. 94: E, E
50 vs. 49: 49, 50
79 vs. 97: 79, E
58 vs. 93: 93, 93
66 vs. 64: 66
53 vs. 98: E, E
75 vs. 90: E, E
74 vs. 92: 92, 74
73 vs. 92: 73
71 vs. 94: E, 94
*NOTE: Marks appeared to hurt his back here and didn't participate in any team drills.
68 vs. 93: E, 68
57 vs. 91: 91, 91
50 vs. 45: 50, E

congrats on your 'spot on' weather analysis bubba, thanks. :) have a safe trip home.
regarding the word "alright", either your spelling is off or, according to my folks, the "l" and "r" must be silent. a-ight? pretty quick work by the investigators of the burk murder. such a shame....
a-ight is correct. that's the way saban uses it in his press conferences, often in the middle of an otherwise meaningless sentence.
I'm actually watching college basketball tonight, which is highly unusual. I dislike both UNC and Duke. I'm hoping for a tie.
Looks like former Prattville ace Cory Luckie is coming along nicely in college. He had one heck of an outing today. I think that team is going to surprise people in April and May.
ohmaha?
I meant Omaha.
Jay,
Why do Montgomery Advertiser columns show up on AL.com?
Was there some type of falling ot between the two parties?
Just curious.
* Sorry, why do they NOT show up.
al.com is run by Newhouse, which owns the newspapers in Mobile, Birmingham and Huntsville.
The Advertiser is owned by Gannett, Inc.
That's why we have separate websites.
That was a good article today. But you know what stood out to me the most? The number 18. It reminds me to keep it all in perspective. Who knows why I did what I did when I was 18. You know.
a-ight ... I'm out.
