Nice work on the vid. Although the sound effects could use some work. The end of the video sounds like the beginning of a porn.
Brown chicken brown cowwww!
That's the goal!
Is this a sign of the Apocalypse?
That Spuds McKenzie is moving to defense?
Or that I use bow-ckicky-bow-wow music in the video?
Why did they ever choose that type of music for porn anyway? It doesn't exactly flare up the hormones. Yes, the obvious abswer is low budget. And no self respecting artist or production company would allow their tunes to be heard across the porn waves.
Well, I just answered my question. I'll think of a better one someday. But not yet...
Both ... I think.
Interesting to note (to me) that Gabe had 13 catches last year to the Great White Hope's 4. The GWH also produced a few costly plays that really stung. Now I said this was interesting but maybe not to you. Gabe is like Heath Evans all over again. Never used him for what he was worth and then he ends up being a long time NFL starter.
Yes, Ron, I understand that Heath was not a tight end. Just a little symbolism for you.
I'm with Wille J. I think they should have moved Trott to DE and left Gabe at TE. Just my little ol' humble opinion. This seems like a backfire waiting to happen. Or an implosion in the making. Or some other radical disaster.
What I'm saying is ... this doesn't make any sense to me.
Gabe was a solid DE in hike school. I dont think Trott was, but could be mistaken.
If they're getting thin on the DL and somebody has to go I'd rather it be Gabe than Trott. Trott doesnt strike me as a DE.
Hip, absolutely. But I see what's happened to the prototype TE position in this offense. It doesn't exist. Trott won't be playing on Sundays.
Just one mans opinion but I would much rather see Gabe moved if that keeps S Marks on the inside.I believe Gabe will get as many if not more meaningful snaps at DE than he would at TE. Not saying I think thats the way it should be but Trott seems to be Fanklin's man at TE. It will be interesting to see how Trott performs after all of the glowing reports during practice. Also Gabe may be one of those guys who develops late in his AU career and then shows his stuff in the NFL.
I was joking.
But I still don't think Trott is going to get it done. 20 or less catches and 2 or less TDs.
Trott is not a defensive player. He doesn't have that mentality.
I think he's going to be at least decent this year: 25 catches, 275 yards, 4 TDs.
crudup, i dug the heath evans comparison. We've definately always had the same opinion about McKenzie. He's never done bad when the ball was thrown his way. I think this is a waste of a good football player. Remember when Brandon Johnson played linebacker and then they moved Quentin Groves to linebacker for the Georgia game last year, this move belongs in the category with those moves. Into the pointless waste of a good football player in the wrong position category. Sen' Derrick Marks definately doesn't need to play there either we can get away with that while having Pat Sims (the best player on the team in my opinion last year), but this year we got to have a playmaker at the 3 technique. I'm hoping Jomarcus Savage gets better and gets experience against LAMO and turns out to be serviceable.
Here's the deal.
Gabe McKenzie is a fine tight end. He's an excellent blocker. He's a good receiver. Not great.
Gabe McKenzie's explosive blocking skills make him an intriguing defensive prospect. He's big, physical and has the basic skill set that would work nicely at SDE.
Tight ends aren't really tight ends anymore. They're bulky "Y" receivers. McKenzie now is categorized simply as an inside receiver now. Auburn has plenty of those.
Viewing the blog on a Mac and couldn't see the video? Is there a plug in needed. Thanks
I use Macs exclusively.
I route the high-res stuff through Shockwave. The low-res stuff is straight from YouTube ... and that shouldn't require anything remotely fancy.
Gotcha ...youtube is blocked on thru our computer filter...no wonder...thanks anyway.
